(( Ventia)) "Were you in on it too, Harley?" Clearly, it was asked with mock suspicion. It was evident in the twinkle in Jewel's eye. She was in too good of a mood to fake it much, anyway. They were in Ireland for Pete's sake. Archard had said that Aideen had emigrated from Ireland to France, and that's where she met Acel. And that there might even be some family on her great-times-two grandmother's side. It would be awesome to come across them. Right now, she waited by her husband and youngest daughter for the vehicle that was to take them to the hotel in which they'd be staying. For a whole week they would be able to see many different things and go to a lot of magical places. Ireland was the headquarters of all things magical. Maybe she and Harley and Nate would happen to see the Fae. "Or did Daddy keep it a surprise from you, too?" She glanced at Nate, a smirk on her face. "I know he put a blindfold on my face." There was no telling how many times she had the urge to rip it off. "Let's see how you like a blindfold around your eyes," Jewel had threatened before they boarded the plane, to which her love whispered a naughty sentence in her ear (so that Harley couldn't hear it.) Just thinking back on it caused her to have goosebumps. Seeing as how it was near Christmas, and Ireland was in the same hemisphere as home was, it was chilly. Jewel had a thick coat on, with woolly boots and earmuffs. Gloved hands held both Harley's and Nate's, anticipation and excitement making her bounce on her toes. White mist escaped her nose as she breathed, yet she didn't particularly mind. "Are we going to eat first? Or jump straight to our adventure?"

Harley was the age equivalent of nine years old-almost ten in a few days. She was still a small little thing, barely four feet but she had long curling brown hair that seemed to bounce with every step she took. Her hazel eyes were wide with excitement-the twinkle in her mother's eyes practically reflected back in Harley's. She was grinning, her gloved hands both enclosed in one from her parents and she would swing her arm gently just because that was how excited she was.
The plane had been boring and annoying, she couldn't leave her seat unless she needed to go to the bathroom and it took so long! She had seen Daddy fly around (she couldn't wait! to get her wings like Daddy) and it looked so much faster and she pestered him to fly her and mommy here because it would be faster. Daddy had just laughed and patted her head and made sure Mommy wasn't peeking. So now that she was outside? She couldn't contain her excitement. There were different people and different scents and it looked so magical like in those lands in the fairytales that Mommy and Daddy would read for her.
"Noooooo," Harley giggled, the lone dimple in her left cheek (just like her father's) on clear view. "He didn't tell me! I asked because I heard you asking him but Daddy was mean and wouldn't tell me." She stuck her tongue out at him which only made Nathaniel chuckle.
"It was a surprise. For both of my girls." Nathaniel lips were curved in a soft smile as he stared down at the two most precious things in his life. Something had changed in him. Long ago there was this cloud-this darkness surrounding Nathaniel. There were always something about him that made someone think twice about approaching. His eyes were lifeless and he lived life with no meaning. If someone from the past saw him now, it would probably take them a few moments to realize that he was the same man. No longer did this cloud surround Nathaniel. His bronze eyes were filled with a light that wasn't there before and he smiled more often. Much more. Matter of fact, around his wife and daughter, he was almost always smiling. Whether it was a grin or a small smirk, they brought a happiness to him that no one else could and brought meaning to his life.
He was still dangerous looking. Even with his hair tied back in a bun, a beanie on, with a sweater that was rolled up, showcasing his sleeves of tattoos. Even with that charming smile and the fact that he held both of his girls hands didn't diminish the fact that if someone tried something? Nathaniel will not even hesitate to snap their pretty little necks.
What could he say. He was protective.
Nathaniel squeezed Jewel's hand, knowing that she could feel the tingles of his skin made him caress the expose skin of her wrist with his thumb. "Shush love. Wasn't it worth the wait?" He winked and bent, god she smelled wonderful, Nathaniel thought as the scent of lavender was inhaled and he gently kissed the side of her head. "Let's leave our bags at our place."
He smirked to himself, there were a few more surprises to come. She could kill him. Or hit him. Not that he minded all that much. He loved Jewel's feisty side. He hated seeing her being submissive. That wasn't his Jewel. Jewel was a wildcat with passion and loyalty and devotion. She wasn't a submissive puppet. He remembered her with her last mate and ground his teeth together to keep back the anger sounds. He had hated seeing her being submissive and not being allowed to do what she wanted. Or say what she wanted. Suddenly he felt her squeeze his hand (whether it was because she noticed his slight alter in mood or just because) and instantly the thoughts went away.
Nathaniel stared down at Jewel and took in her happy expression. He smiled, slowly but soon the smile grew into a wide grin. Never again would he allow this woman to be that submissive puppet. "I love you." He whispered it, the wind taking the words away even though she didn't even need to hear them. Those words were evident in his gaze. All she would have to do is stare into his eyes and she'll know just how deeply he cared for her.
"Ooohhh is that our ride?" Harley let go of her fathers hand to point at a approaching car who had stopped just in front of them. Nathaniel continued to stare at Jewel for a few seconds, his lips returning to a small hidden smile before glancing at the man coming out, squeezing Jewel's hand gently and patting Harley on her head. "Yes darling, that's our ride."

"Daddy's a secretive man, it seems," Jewel said with a wink. A smile graced her features, knowing that she was going to enjoy this trip. No, not a honeymoon. She couldn't call this a honeymoon. But it was a family vacation. That was just fine, though. Her youngest daughter and husband on either side of her. It stinks that Thea couldn't come along. And MK probably didn't want anything to do with her.
But hey! There were tourist shops full of T-shirts and key chains. Thea wasn't hard to please. Nor was anyone else back home.
She looked up at her husband, showing him that smile. It was because of him that she had the desire to smile. The ability to sleep at night. Jewel didn't feel like she was going through the motions. She wasn't a robot. She believed whole-heartedly that God put him in her life. Not only to help her find her daughter, but to help her with her depression. Nathaniel was her angel. Tattoos, piercings, and all.
Now, she was indeed more lively. More like herself. That smile wasn't a farce. Not at all similar to the ones she forced out before. And then it grew wider when feeling the tingling sensation intensified. Beneath the welcomed sensation was the familiar warmth she had always had with Nathaniel. The same comforting warmth that enveloped her as if Nate wrapped his arms around her. She swore that warmth would keep her alive in this extremely cold weather.
"Don't 'shush' me," she mock-scolded, squinting her eyes and scrunching her nose a bit. But she let him kiss the side of her head, humming a bit at how loved she felt right at that moment before standing on her toes so that she could plant a soft kiss against his stubbly jaw. And when she pulled away, enjoying the remnants of the little buzz against her lips, that feeling of being loved intensified.
No, she didn't hear his words. Though Nathaniel was so easy to read. Well, now that she knew how to read the complex mathematics textbook Nathaniel was. Granted, he opened up to her even before they became spouses. If only a little bit. That didn't matter, really. She's bettered her ability and seeing "I love you" in his eyes had her melting.
"I love you," she whispered, the wind carrying those three words to him. She had been in a trance, just staring into his eyes with such big brown eyes, that Harley's voice had her jerking back to reality. "That's a very fancy vehicle, Nate."

He was smiling to himself as if he heard a secret-not that Jewel's love for him was a secret to anyone anymore (with all they went through just to be with each other, almost everyone knew that they were in love-different species and all) but still, he loved hearing her say it. "Fancy for your Fancy Feathers." He half smiled at the remembrance of her nickname for him when they were just friends. At that time, he didnt know how much she would mean to him. In some ways, he was thankful that Thea was captured and taken away from Jewel, because he honestly didnt know how else he and Jewel would have gotten close.
But Jewel made him believe in that things happened for a reason, so a part of him believed that even if Thea hadnt been kidnapped and taken away, he and Jewel would still have ended up together. He shook his head at himself. He sounded like a love sick pup. And in some ways he was. Jewel did this to him. Not that he minded. It was just...funny considering he thought love was just for fools. Funny what a wonderful woman could do for someone.
"And its not that fancy," Nathaniel said defensively, pushing Harley's closer to her mother and greeting the man. He was helping the man with the suitcases and carry-ons, letting Harley and Jewel do what they want.
Harley pointed to the 2016 BMV M4 car and giggled, "It's purple!" Harley never seen daddy ride in anything that wasnt black or white, so this was funny to her. "Come on Mommy, lets sit!" And she ran to the car and tugged at the door until it opened before climbing inside and crawling until she was seated at the other window and then because Mommy and Daddy always taught her that safety came first, she clicked her seatbelt on.
"Where are we staying?"
Nathaniel thanked the man in Gaelic and tipped him before closing the trunk and going over to the passenger side, poking his head in to see if Harley was strapped in, which she was so he gave her a thumbs up and then he opened the passenger side door for Jewel. "That's also a surprise. Harley? Make sure Mommy doesnt hurt me when we get there, okay darling?" He smirked, and pulled Jewel close before she could get into the seat.
"Lets save the spanking for the bed eh?" He said as he wiggled his eyebrows, flecks of yellow flashing in his dark eyes. "Alright, Darling Doctor, get in so we can hit the road." He waited until she sat, closed the door, and then went around the front to the driver's side and entered, starting the engine and easing out-reaching for Jewel's hand to hold for the drive.

"It's a BMW, Nathaniel," Jewel said, lifting a brow at his downplay. "Sure, I've seen you drive fancier. But you have to admit no one in the middle class can say they own a BMW." She couldn't help but smile, though, because of his defensive tone. Usually he had no qualms in showing off the very expensive things he owned. But since they fell in love Jewel hadn't seen the expensive things in excess.
Harley's excitement at seeing the car's exotic color had her laughing. Jewel enjoyed the fact that children had a broad span of things that could entertain them, especially her daughter's. Because of Harley Jewel herself felt like a child. Someone that didn't have a care in the world and didn't know of life's scary aspects.
"Good girl," she praised Harley, smiling like a proud parent at seeing Harley buckle herself like she had been taught to. And then she closed the door softly, as if the car would break like porcelain if she slammed it like she did with her truck back home. But not before Harley could ask her question and Nate give her a vague answer.
"Is this surprise worth bending you over my knee?" Jewel asked, a conspiratorial glint in her eyes. She let him bring her close so that their conversation couldn't be overheard by young ears or otherwise. Seeing Nate's eyes had her leaning against him, that knee she was talking about as well as it's companion threatening to turn to jello.
And then she snorted playfully before doing as was told (slowly, mind, to tease him) and following her daughter's example. "I hope you're buckled, Daddy," she said, stretching her legs to the edge of the floor board. Nonetheless she took her earmuffs and gloves off before reaching for her husband's hand and interlocking their fingers.

"Anything is worth you bending me over your knee." Nathaniel's eyes gleamed with excitement, the dark yellow flecks appearing more in his gaze, his hand that was against the middle of her back slowly edged down, his fingers brushing the top of her pants, his fingers gliding into the material of her jeans so that he could brush them against her skin. He hummed against her ear, pressing against her so that she could feel his excitement before pulling back, winking at her and smiling at his daughter before closing the door. "Of course, safety first." Nathaniel rolled his eyes and clicked himself in. The drive was far, grovel turned into rocks and grass and Harley ended up falling asleep (bumps and all) after the hour mark. Which was fine with Nathaniel, it wasnt uncommon for his two girls to fall asleep on him while he drove them places. He would just wake up Jewel with soft kisses, taking his time with her until she giggled and woke up and he would carry Harley inside to her bed, watch as Jewel tucked her in and then waited for his turn to be tucked in. He pushed his thumb against Jewel's skin, enjoying the warmth as he turned into the start of his new property. About ten minutes later, he was easing into the driveway of the Caherkinmonwee Castle-it was still light out so he stared at the large tall building which was to be their home for this vacation. He tried not to laugh (Jewel didnt like it when he randomly bought something that they necessary didnt need-a castle in Ireland seemed to fit in that category) but oh well. He had money, might as well spoil her with it. Plus, Ireland was where Aideen was from. It felt right to own some property here. "Three acres, theres a river, lots of gardens, trees everywhere and as you can see, outhouses that used to be shops from the villagers back in the past. Its...pretty isnt it? Sort of feels like you're suddenly back two hundred years in the past." He grinned at her and bought her hand to his lips. "Dont worry, just because its a old castle doesnt mean that theres no hot water. I had someone come and already do some modifications and upgrading. You'll be warm-theres even a heater and ac." He kissed her skin and squeezed her hand once before opening his door and getting out. He glanced at Harley whom was still fast asleep and moved over to the passenger side, opening Jewel's door for her and holding a hand out to help her get up. "Do you like it?" ...

Her eyes narrowed, feeling like the cat who just caught a canary. Well, dog. Either way, she was feeling very pleased. The tingles were warm, a fire heating her all the way into her core. And for the first time since her friendship started with Nathaniel she didn't feel guilty. Why? Because Nate was all hers to have naughty thoughts about.
A low growl of appreciation was meant for his ears only. She felt her toes curl and her eyes close completely. And for the sake of having a bit of fun: as one hand grabbed a fistful of shirt the other discretely snaked around him to squeeze his butt. "Behave," she murmured, letting go after about two seconds.
In the car, traces of desire still clung to her. Jewel brought their enjoined hands together and kissed his knuckles. And the next thing she knew, she was being woken up by a series of small kisses (which felt like small bursts of electricity on her face). Slowly, her legs and arms stretched until she felt her fingertips touch the ceiling. Her eyelids fluttered open, a giggle bubbling up inside her. And then she stopped. Her eyes widened, once a bit crusty from the snooze she got. Her hand let go of his, unbuckled her seatbelt, and supported her on the console between them as she turned to face him.
"Nathaniel." His name came out low, still thick with sleep, yet with a bit of … not anger, but one could tell that this wasn't a very welcomed surprise. "Please tell me you didn't just buy this." Then, she face-palmed herself as he explained what this place had in store for them. "Dear God, help me not to strangle him," she whispered before dragging her hand down her face in exasperation.
Since Harley was still asleep, she found it okay for her to punch him in the arm. Lightly. "It is one of the most beautiful places I've seen," she answered truthfully, dropping her fist to frame his cheeks with her hands. This allowed for him to be brought down to her level. This way she could look to him eye-to-eye. Maybe then he'd listen.
"How much was it?"

Nathaniel laughed so hard that it was hard to keep it contained when she asked for help to not strangle him. He was forcing himself to keep the laughter in but god it was just funny watching her face palm herself.
He pulled her outside of the car and once he closed it, finally did he laugh out loud. It only worsen when she lightly punched him in the arm. "Isn't it pretty though?" Nathaniel forced himself to breathe evenly and then he found himself being pulled down to Jewel's level. He was smiling broadly in her face, loving the still sleepy look she had in her gaze that was tinge with exasperation.
"Mm do you know how much I love staring directly into your eyes?" He pulled her close, his thumbs running under her shirt to caress her bare hips. "Such pretty brown eyes." He nudged her nose with his own, kissing the crown of her head. "Now, darling doctor of mine, let's not worry about all that boring stuff. If you're worried about my class, I'll assure you I am very much still a rich man. I know that's one of the reasons you fell for me." He grinned and quickly kissed any retorts she had away.
"Plus, imagine Harley's face when she finds out we own a castle. Two castles. One in Paris. One here. She'll believe she's a princess and that's exactly what she is. Plus, it's not fair if you own a castle and I don't. You know how competitive I am." He winked, bought his hands up to cup over here against his cheeks still, and pulled them gently away to kiss each fingertip, pausing over her wedding ring and bestowing a longer sweeter kiss on the jewel.
"Time to wake up the Princess." He blew a kiss and moved over towards Harley, opening her door and unbuckling her before gently moving her shoulder until her sweet hazel eyes fluttered open. She stretched, much in the same fashion as Jewel did until she glanced up at Daddy. She yawned, her eyes getting teary and then she rubbed her face. "Are we here?"
"Yes we are Princess." Nathaniel reached for her and she lazily curled her arms around his neck and when he pulled her out of the car, her legs wrapped around his middle. Harley was still sleepy, so she laid her head on his shoulder and glanced lazily around with just her eyes.
She smiled at Mommy and when Daddy turned so that his back was against the car and next to Jewel, Harley curled her head so that it laid on his chest instead and she too was staring at the big building. It took her a few seconds to see without the sleepiness and when she did, her head perked up and she slapped Daddy on his shoulder in excitement.
"Is this our home?!"
Nathaniel winked at Jewel whom was still annoyed with him for buying a castle and nodded with a little more excitement (just to annoy Jewel a little) at Harley. "Yep! It's a castle befitting my Princess and my Queen. Want to check out your room? I'll race ya?"
Harley screamed with glee and unwrapped her arms and legs from him until Nate got the message and put her down. While she ran to the front door, Nathaniel grinned and held out his hand for Jewel. "See? She's happy. Aren't you happy your daughters happy? I'm happy."

"You're just trying to butter me up," she accused, squeezing his cheeks together so that his lips are pursed for a few moments. And only when she felt amused at the sight did she stop squeezing them. "But it isn't working." She narrowed her eyes, enjoying the tingles humming against her skin.
And then she gasped in indignation. "Nathaniel-" she started, drawing her brows together. But his lips interrupted her. For another minute, she tried pleading her case, and each time she did had her getting another kiss from him. It was getting hard to breathe after that minute, so she could only stop her protests and turn her cheek.
"The d'Guillory estate isn't a castle," she amended, raising a brow. "And I inherited it from a centuries-old man. I didn't pay out of pocket." But she didn't protest when he kissed each of her fingertips. And each kiss had her toes curling just a little bit more.
When he pulled away a rush of cold bit at her fingers, so she burrowed her hands and grinned at her daughter. She had to admit, she was happy to see Harley squeal and run toward the castle. And her heart raced, hearing Nate call her a queen. But he still wasn't quite there on her good side yet.
He was close. And he knew it, because she couldn't stay angry with him for long.
"Don't make me the bad guy," Jewel replied, taking her hand from out her pocket to interlace their fingers. Then she leaned her head on his upper arm, walking in time with him. After a few seconds, she sighed. "Okay. Fine. You win this time."

"I think it is working. You just don't want to admit it." He smirked and took pleasure in kissing her quiet each time. He could never grow tired of kissing Jewel. Even playful kisses like these still made him go mad with the urge to have Jewel for himself. Not to mention, Jewel didn't make it easy with how alluring she was-gasping his name and being breathless. His little wolf was tempting him without even trying. He couldn't wait for tonight. When they were alone.
All alone.
Nathaniel nibbled on her plump lower lip in anticipation just before getting their daughter, grinning to himself. "It's a castle. Don't try to get out of that one." He stuck his tongue out at her raised tongue and glanced at Harley. "Mommy doesn't think that that big place of hers in Paris isn't a castle. It's huge. You've been there. But you were only a baby back then. So you probably don't remember. It was bigger than this place and mommy says it's not a castle. She's so silly isn't she?"
Harley giggled, her cheeks rosy from the cold. "Yep mommy's silly. Every big house is a castle!"
"Exactly!" Nathaniel slapped his thigh and grinned down at Jewel, squeezing her hand as he walked forward to the castle. He bent down close to the door and grabbed the key that was hidden behind a rock just like it was stated it would be.
"The saleswoman couldn't be here today which was fine with me, but she told me where to find the key. She'll come by tomorrow to see if we like it and everything." He unlocked the door, pocketing the old style key in his pocket and pushing aside the door. Harley poked her head inside and glanced around, knitting her brows.
"It's dark."
"Mhm. There's light switches, where is it...ah.." Nathaniel flipped a series of switches on as he and his family walked through the lowest level of the building.
"Hm. Well let's get a bit settled and then we can go out to eat. Sounds good? Harley, let's look at your room." He led them to a stone stairway and moved into the second floor, opening doors as he went until he found Harley's.
Her bed was the main focus in the room, it was a full sized bed that was covered in a light violet cover that had lilies stitched in. The bed had drapes coming down from the top all the way towards the floor-these drapes were a darker purple but the material was thin enough that the sunlight lazily lit the inside of the bed. Fluffy pillows and a few toys filled the head of the bed, giving it that kid look.
To the side was a desk made out of wood, a round mirror position on the wall so Harley could look at herself if she wanted to and a cute little chair that was also made of wood but had flowers curled along the sides with the delicate wood designs.
The window could be open but it was design above a little couch that Harley could sit in and read one of her books if she wanted to. There was a little tea table set towards the corner and a few inches next to it was the closet.
Nathaniel glanced down at Harley and nodded in general towards the room. "You like it?"
Harley didn't say anything for a little before her face split in a huge grin. "Like? I don't like it! I love it!" And then? She ran into the opening of her bed and jumped on it. Her curls flopping onto the purple bed. "So comfy!"
Nathaniel glanced at Jewel, "you approve? Want to see our room?"

Her response was, at first, to be quiet. As if she was still irritated with Nate, and she was giving him the silent treatment. But Jewel had realized that a long time ago ignoring Nathaniel was a bad idea. While his bloody arm came to mind she also was reminded that she wasn't the type to stay angry for long. So yes, his attempt to soften her heart worked.
Just looking around the room solidified his success. Her daughter's squeal had her smiling. Before that, the architecture of the castle had her feeling that she should be wearing a frilly, Elizabethan dress. It had a familiar feel to it – or maybe because she had a sense of belonging, because even if her grandmother was a witch she did come from Ireland.
"Yes, Fancy Feathers. I approve." Then she turned to him and wrapped an arm around his torso. "And I want to see our room."

"I'm always fancy." Nathaniel winked at his wife and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, keeping her snug next to him as they moved out of Harley's room and walked down the corridor to the last bedroom on the other side of the hall. In reality, Nathaniel had liked to have their bedroom on the next level (there were four stories in the castle) but he knew that Jewel wouldn't have that. She wasn't going to be far away from her little cub. Hell, if it was up to Jewel, she would want the bedroom that was right next to Harley's. Not across the hall.
However it was a master bedroom, so it was bigger than Harley's. Which was good, Nathaniel actually didn't like small places. Bad memories. He opened the door with a little bow, trying to be smart with his woman. She would probably slap his shoulder or roll her eyes. Nathaniel loved messing with her in this way. Sarcasm and sass was his forte after all.
The bedroom was way larger than Harley's, the bed a king sized (it was new-he and Jewel were picky about their beds-well at least Nate was) and in the same fashion as Harley's had drapes coming down from the ceiling, wrapping around the large bed like a cocoon. Unlike Harley, the bed covers were black (Nate didn't sleep in anything else) and the drapes were a solid dark purple-the color of royalty. There was nothing woven in the sheets or covers...they were just black Egyptian silk sheets that felt wonderful against someone's bare skin.
To the side, Jewel had a similar dresser as Harley but on a larger scale, with jems built in the wood around the mirror and more delicate designs on the wood, and Nate had a bedside desk as well. The window actually opened up to a balcony but this window was made out of stained glass, causing the sun to come in in different shades of colors. The balcony overlooked the river and the gardens, instantly relaxing someone whom decided to stare. A few inches after their closet, there was a fireplace that had two arm chairs in front of as well as a fluffy rug where Nate intended to lie down on.
There were various pictures on the walls and torches, giving it that medieval feel. Over all? It was a pretty nice room.
"Fancy enough?" He asked from behind Jewel, rubbing her shoulders as he glanced at her face for her expression.

Jewel did both, actually. But it wasn't so much as a slap as a push a little on his shoulder. But the amusement quickly turned into awe at the sight of the room. It was ... beautiful couldn't even describe it. It looked like how she pictured a royal room to look like. Her jaw dropped a bit, loving how the dying rays of the sun colored the floor in different shades of gold, blue, green, and purple via the stained glass.
Her steps stopped at the rug, where she took her shoes off so that she wouldn't get the dirt from the soles onto the rug. Then she continued moving until she was able to reach out and touch the sheer curtain of the canopy and run her fingers down the dark length of it. She had a vague thought: the blankets in her bedroom back at Paris were cream-colored. (Well, now it was going to be Nate's as well as hers now.) So these two places they had were a perfect representation of day and night.
Being a novice author, she couldn't help but find this cute.
"I feel spoiled," Jewel murmured to him, leaning her head back and giving him a broad grin. Like she didn't mind it - at least, not right now. "I love it. Who are the interior designers? I want to send them thank you notes." She said it teasingly, like she didn't believe that Nate did the designing all himself. Oh, she knew that he couldn't have done all the heavy-lifting himself, otherwise his absence to do so would have been noted. And it wouldnt have been a surprise anymore.

Nathaniel was watching his wife's facial features very closely. He wouldn't admit it, but it brought him great joy when he saw those he cared about was happy with whatever he did. Whether it was cooking a late dinner, or waiting in front of the Infirmary with a sleeping Harley and a lone flower that he had found for Jewel, or decorating houses. Like this.
He may not have the talent of that of his brother (and niece-Evanna was beginning to make him wonder whom was better at drawing, her or her father?) but Nathaniel saw the patterns in his mind and would outline it and map it on paper until the world grew in front of him. He had created the old house which was now being rented out to anyone whom wanted it (he was actually planning on giving it to X and Penny sooner or later) and he remodeled this castle and not to mention their new home that was yet another surprise that was waiting for them when they came home.
So he stared at Jewel, catching every single little expression that passed over her face. He followed her into the room, watching her movements and taking in that broad smile she had given him. "You should be spoiled. You're an amazing woman." He reached for her, wrapping his arms around her hips and bringing her close.
He grinned. "You're looking at him." Then he shrugged, "I had everything be delivered here and then paid a few workers to get it just right. You should have seen how annoyed I was over the cam telling the people how I wanted it. What can I say. I'm a perfectionist."
He kissed the top of her head and glanced at the canopy and then next thing she knew, she was curled in his side in the middle of the bed. He pulled her closer and found her hand, bringing it to his lips. "You're really mine. We're on our honeymoon. Sometimes I think I'm still on the ground of that school fire and hallucinating about all of this. Or I died again and this is just a fantasy of mine...but I can feel your pulse against mine own and I know that this is real. That you're really mine." He kissed her fingers, closing his eyes and breathing in the scent of his woman. "I love you Jewel." He whispered into her fingers.

She placed her hands on his shoulders, too short for them to completely wrapp around his neck. Though as she rolled her eyes playfully, she let her hands move up to his neck, her thumbs rubbing the spot where the pulse of his heartbeat could be felt. And she stayed in that position as he confesed that he was the one that did this. "Well, good," she stated, faking a tone of relief. "I didn't particularly want to send a thank-you note. Now I can say it in person."
The transition from floor to bed was rather quick. Too quick to process it. But she didn't mind. Really - she was lying here, in this rather large bed (she can reah out to the edge of the bed, and still not touch it) with her husband. And it felt ... wonderful. Like two pieces of a puzzle. Or those magnetic "best friend" necklaces that Iggy and Thea used to have. This was natural. Having their legs entangled with each other. Him kissing her hand. Listening to each other.
Not even the mention of the school fire could send a thrill of shivers running down her spine, like it usually did. She just pursed her lips, her free hand going to his chest, right over his heart. As if making sure that he wasn't a hallucination either. After all, they've been through so much. And even though thsi felt real, she could have a realistic dream that was spanned out within the course of days. Months. They've gone through so much. Had to deal with a whole bunch of crap just to be together. And now that they're here, holding each other close, it felt ethereal.
His heartbeat, the slow da-dum, da-dum. da-dum ... it was living proof that this wasn't a dream. This wasn't something that her sub-conscious made up. Or even Aideen! Her fantasy was a reality. "I love you more," she whispered back, pulling her hand away to replace it with her lips. She propped herself on her elbow, gaining leverage, before leaning down and placing a soft kiss on his pillow-soft mouth. "In fact," she continued before placing another kiss on him, "I have no comparison to my love for you." Another kiss. This time a bit longer. "Because most things are to short to help comprehend it."
And then ... her fingers found his hair, gently massaging his scalp before she let them anchor themselves in the soft locks. She brought him closer to her, smiling against the fourth kiss she gave him. It wasn't supposed to go far, but soon she found herself pulling away slightly, eyes opening a little bit to give him a teasing look before biting down on his bottom lip. Maybe it was a bit rough. Though she didn't think he would mind.
