(( Ventia)) Brooklyn's never been drunk before. But with how this guy's been giving her attention all night, buying her drinks and finding ways to touch her, she wanted to be. This man, whatever his name was, was very handsome. Thin, with dark blue eyes that reminded her of the Pacific off the coast of Hawaii. Sandy blond hair that was cropped short. And an endearing smile that had Brooklyn thinking he was a popular boy back in high school. Really, he was a boy still. Like her, he looked to be in his early 20s - a sophomore in college, maybe. The buzz she was starting to feel probably made him look cuter than he was, but Brooklyn didn't mind. He was buying her drinks, letting her go in without paying a dime. And to someone who knew the value of money, she didn't mind. Besides, if she let the buzz become intoxication, Brooklyn would blame all the bad decions she made tonight on it. Have a one night stand. Dance provocatively. Kiss a girl. All of those things that were in coming-of-age movies or books that she's never really done before. But with her mother waking up the day after the (seemingly) last time she eve saw her mate again, well enough to go home a complete time zone away from her, she's felt that she can let loose and not be a caring daughter that just so happened to be possessed by a demon. It was loud in here. And dark. They sat at the bar, an open enough space that was still private and away from the dancing and grinding throng a few feet away. Even though this man had one of his feet propped up on her bar stool's support bars, right between her own two feet, she could barely hear him. They've already talked about how they came to be here - the both of them were looking to forget someone they held dear to their hearts. His sister, who died just a few months ago; and her fiance, who broke up with her. "He sounds like a douchebag," the blondie had commented, rubbing circles against the back of her hand. And then he had leaned closer, blue eyes soft and wide open, inviting her in to swim in their depths. "But I'm not." That was about an hour ago, when she was just getting into her buzz. Now, she just finished off the glass in her hand and finally started to feel inebriated. Good. Once again, this nameless guy scooted to the edge of his bar stool, leaning closer. Brooklyn couldn't help but to lean in closer, all care out the window. Tonight, she wasn't a protector of justice, or someone that cared for the general public. But just a normal, young woman that wanted to forget heartbreak. "Let's get out of here."

Brooklyn was at Suck Them Dry, a place that was more sponsored for the things that went bump in the night than humans. Matter of fact, the meaning behind the title of the club was specifically centered on succubus and incubus. Because after all, one of the co-owners was a succubus and this used to be her hunting ground. It wasn't uncommon for Lucrezia to suck out all her prey's energy force hence-Suck Them Dry.
Not many knew the original meaning to the name but it always gave Lucrezia a good laugh.
Normally Lucrezia didn't get involved in other business. Well besides from her lovers business, ever since they made a deal-Ventia's been under Lucrezia's protection. Sure the bloody woman didn't need protection from Lue but Lucrezia got attached to her lovers and she wasn't about to let Ventia escape from her grasp.
But this was another moment in where she would step in someone else's business. Killian Constantine and her went long back-she had more of a thing for Ruby herself but it was Killian whom tasted the best-essence of course she was talking about. Ruby tasted better in all other regions of course. Then again, she was more into females than males so maybe she was bias. Anyways, lately Killian has been making his rounds again. Lue was curious so she asked him why he was more around and after some drinks, he told her.
So yeah, she knew the chick sitting next to the incubus. Like she stated before, Lucrezia didn't enjoy getting in others business and she would have let the woman do whatever she wanted...however she was talking to a incubus. Now she had no problem with that as well-but this incubus in general was causing rumors to float. It came to the point that even Ventia was starting to get on Lucrezia's nerves by telling her to do something about her kind.
Which was why Lucrezia had ring Killian after watching them for a hour or so-Ventia was in the office looking at her cameras in a foul mood as usual. But Lue didn't mind that. She loved seeing Ventia go from a foul annoyed mood to moaning underneath her. Which was why she was eager to get with this situation done so she could sneak back inside the office and have fun with her grumpy lover.
If she really wanted to, all Lucrezia needed to do was waltz up to the incubus and that would be all. After all? She didn't become known as the Red Reaper for nothing. Everyone of her kind knew her. Plus, this was her domain. Her club. Whilst in here? Everyone obeyed her. But she wasn't in the mood to play with someone she didn't want to play. Ventia on the other hand? Lue licked her lips and stretched out her arms, smiling to herself. She was always in the mood to play with her little wolf.
So when she spotted Killian, she jumped down from the second floor and eased into the locked door, not caring about what was going to go down with Killian and the Incubus. She had better things to get to.
Killian eased through the club, the guards already knowing him as a regular therefore letting him in immediately. As a habit, he glanced at the office door and watched curls of red disappear. So Lue decided to turn a blind eye on whatever was going down. Okay. He could deal with that. She hadn't given him much information. Just that his 'kitty cat' was here with someone Lue was iffy about.
He spotted Brooklyn almost instantly and found himself walking towards her. He was still hurt over what went down two weeks ago. Still confused what that kiss meant. Still unsure whether or not he should apologize for being unreasonable or if he was being reasonable because she lost faith in him. It was all...too much he supposed. But he was here dammit.
He stopped having sex with others because it didn't do him anything. He didn't want anyone else but her. It annoyed him. He hated being in love with someone whom besides from a two second kiss hadn't made any hint of wanting. He hated the fact that he would find himself walking over to her house in the middle of the night because that had became their house. He hated it all.
"The hell your not." He hadn't distinguish whom had suggested they leave. Didn't care at the moment. Brooklyn wasn't about to leave with anyone else but him. God dammit.
"Fuck off." Killian snapped at the man, his eyes filling with a dark carnivorous yellow.

Brooklyn looked like a completely different person. Her usual kinked hair was tamed and straightened to fall in a dark, glossy waterfall to the middle of her back. She didn't put on too much foundation or powder, but her lips were a seductive mauve color that made them look sort of pouty. Dark hues on her eyelids and winged eyeliner to match had her dark chestnut eyes look just a little bit wider.
Her clothes looked fresh out of a clothing store. The sleeve of her soft blouse was purposely off one shoulder, showing not only the glow it had under these flashing lights, but a peek of black ink on her chest, just above her breasts. The black skirt she wore barely covered her upper thighs as she sat and talked with the man that wasn't her mate. And her closed-toe, more-than-three-inch stiletto heels complimented her long legs.
There is a reason why she (unknowingly) caught the attention of an incubus. And why her brother Diego called her a hooker.
She had to admit, she was uncomfortable when she first paraded around her house in the get-up. But soon, after her outrage that Diego would call his little sister a 'hooker', she found herself sexy as all get out. And you know what? Brooklyn needed to stop feeling sorry for herself. Oh, yeah, she smelled Killian's trail nearly every morning. At night, she knew that she was being watched because Gyro went absolutely crazy. One time, she even left her doors unlocked.
But he never showed himself.
Brooklyn didn't expect to see him tonight. No, not when she was supposed to forget about him. Yet, it seemed that her animal wouldn't have any of that. Her conscience. Because just when she was about to scoop up her clutch purse and follow this boy outside, Killian popped up from out of nowhere, like a figment of her imagination.
Her sexy feeling was gone. Instead, she felt like she had been caught cheating red-handed. Which was ridiculous. He was the one to come up to her place of work, smelling like another woman, and then ordered her to leave him alone. (And Brooklyn followed orders 97% of the time. She had no contact with him ever since he officially broke off the fake engagement.) She shouldn't feel bad for getting dressed up and trying to enjoy a man's attention that wasn't the man that she loved giving her such attention.
Brooklyn sighed before laughing. "You wanna ruin my fun now?"
"Do you know him?" Blue Eyes asked, irritated. He knew Killian. Never once liked the man. For all he cared Killian could go die.
"He lived with me for weeks. Of course I know him," she responded, before ordering another drink. She couldn't help but laugh again in amusement because Blue Eyes's reaction was comical.
"D*mn, I'm sorry, B. I knew your ex was a douchebag, but I didn't realize how bad until just now. See, look, he's ordering us around, like we give a sh*t." He shook his head and slid down off his bar stool to place warm hands on Brook's hips. Which immediately she hated. It was funny, because not ten seconds ago she wanted to go to his place. But they weren't Kilian's hands.
"Come on, love," he coaxed, sliding the woman off her stool.

It took all of Killian to not give in to the tempting impulse to go and kill the incubus that was currently next to Brooklyn. He knew of Tyler and with the rumors that he had been hearing now that he was doing his rounds, Tyler wasn't good news. Matter of fact, the moment he saw Tyler he knew instantly why Lucrezia decided to give him a call. 'Iffy' like Lue had used to describe the man Brooklyn was with wasn't even close to what Tyler was. Tyler was bad news. Horrible news in fact.
Out of all the species he's encountered, incubus and succubus were most dangerous in his opinion. They could steal life force. Hell with just one kiss they could kill their victim if they wanted to. Kiss of death, Lucrezia explained all those years ago. And this man, rumor was that he always killed off his victims.
"Fun?" Killian voice was harsh as he stared down at Brooklyn, trying to ignore how beautiful she looked. "Do you know who you've been sitting with? I wouldn't call this fun Brooklyn."
He snapped his gaze back to Tyler and watched as the man slid off his seat and the second he touched Brooklyn? Killian froze. It didn't at all help that Tyler called Brooklyn by a pet name. And it sure as hell didn't help when Brooklyn didn't outright push Tyler away. For now, he forced himself to ignore the fact that she allowed another man to touch her. For now. Because all he could see was those hands on Brooklyn. All he could think was that no one should ever touch Brooklyn but him. All he could feel was the possessive urge to claim what was his and guard it from anyone who tried stealing it away. And God dammit. Brooklyn was his. She was his mate. He imprinted on her already. He loved her. Yes he was shuffling his feet because he was hurt at the lack of trust on her part but he fucking loved her and he didn't want to lose her and God dammit the fucking asshole still had his hands on her.
Killian moved, grabbing the wrist that was closest to him and twisting, simultaneously he brought his foot down hard on the man's knee and then? He shoved Tyler away from Brooklyn, he didn't care if he went down with Tyler or not. He was seeing red from the sight of Tyler's hands sliding along Brooklyn's waist.
"Don't. Touch. My. Mate." His eyes were complete yellow, the beast inside of him alive and ready to defend what was his. Because no matter what. Brooklyn was his and deep down he knew he was hers. He just needed to stop being so stubborn and put himself out there again until he could get her to love him. Once and for all.

With Blue Eyes's hands being wrenched from her hips, the drink in her hand sloshed over her fingers. The shock of it wasn't anything compared to the dumbfoundment Brooklyn felt. Killian was ... jealous? Protective? No, she didn't know who or what she sat by. Who or what she was wanting to go home with. (But she was too drunk to care.) Apparently Killian knew.
Though what she wanted to know is why he wanted to use THAT card when he let dozens of girls that weren't HER do more than touch him. She knew that - before he moved in with her - he was a promiscuous man. And the day after Allison tortured her, he went to her work smelling like someone that wasn't her. Which hurt her more than anything.
She found that to be her fault. He wasn't living with her anymore, so he didn't have to give her that respect anymore. So she couldn't get upset, regardless of her tingles with him. Yet when Killian threatened Blue Eyes, her beast tried guilting her; it was working.
She watched Blue Eyes's irises turn red, smiling slowly and chuckling darkly as he stood up. "Aw. Cute." Brooklyn's fuzzy gaze didn't see anything wrong with him. But Killian wasn't a pansy. Also, judging from the dark yellow in his eyes, he was dead serious. "Killian ... manwh*re Killian ... has a mate. And I can't touch her? He won't share this one?" Brooklyn's reaction was to tighten her hold on the glass so much that it shattered.
Now she didn't know what to believe. The man that was trying to get her drunk, who implied that Brooklyn was a possession to Killian? Her mate, who claimed he loved her, yet didn't show up until now so that he could ... what was he doing here?
Tears suddenly sprang to her eyes. These tears were the same tears she's been holding in since Allison had been put away. And just like the past two weeks, she'd been trying so hard not to let them fall. With the alcohol in her system, it was more difficult than last time. Immediately, she set her clutch purse down on the bar's counter to brush the little shards from her hand. There was one rather sharp one that got stuck in her palm, but she left it, not caring for the blood slowly running down to her wrist.
"Oh, look at that." Red eyes landed on her, which made her shrink back and turn away to hide her moment's weakness. "Killian, you made her cry. She came here to not cry. Are you TRYING to ruin her night?"
Brooklyn needed to get out of here. Thank God the bartender didn't take her keys.
"Want me to take care of him, B?" the man asked. It was supposed to be a tender tone. But really - how can a voice be tender whe, to be heard, it has to shout?
"No. Don't touch him."

Killian straightened into his full height, squared his shoulders and made sure that his body was in between Brooklyn's and Tyler's. He clenched his jaw at the man's words and then relaxed, finally relaxed because no matter what, he was the one next to Brooklyn. Not Tyler.
The man could say whatever the hell he wanted, but he didnt have his hands on her. Wasnt going to either. Ever again. Tyler's words made him laugh. "I never share what's mine. Do you mean my leftovers?" He stopped speaking however at the sound of the crash next to him and he glanced over at Brooklyn, seeing the broken glass shattered in her hand. He was about to help her until he notice the tears...
It softened the anger inside of him, the anger that was directed at her, the anger that was directed at Tyler...and most importantly the hatred that was directed at himself. "Brook..." He forgot all about Tyler at that moment, his voice going soft as he turned his body more towards her than Tyler. "Hey, dont cry please. I'm sorry for the other day...I-"
He turned sharply at Tyler and curled his lips in a predator manner. "Shut up or else I'll do Lue a solid and take care of you once and for all." Then he turned back to Brooklyn and moved his hand towards her bleeding one, his fingers softly grazing hers until he grabbed hold of her wrist. Slowly he brought it to his lips, staring straight into her eyes due to her added height with her heels as he kissed the middle of her palm and opened his lips, exploring her palm with his tongue until he found the shard and with his teeth, he took it out. He eased back and plucked the glass shard out of his mouth and dropped back, still holding on to her hand.
Slowly he rubbed her wrist, still looking into her eyes. "Can we talk? Can we get out of here and talk Brooklyn? Just you and me. Please."

Brooklyn couldn't help it. One blink and a few tears from each eye fell down her face. He ... apologized. He told her not to cry. His voice was soft. Softer than when she confided in him about her life. Her mauve-colored lip trembled a bit, and it was all she could do not to sob. The same sob that hurt for hours on end when it was just a lump in her throat.
When he looked away, she hastily grabbed the purse she had brought in here and rifled through it, going past the pistol she always carried and her small wallet and the little bobby pins and foundation and powder to find the package of tissues she carried. It hurt to use her injured hand as she did it. Though just as soon as she found it, ignorant of the stream of curses the incubus threw Killian's way, she found her hand being grabbed.
Instinctively, she tried tugging away, as if she were an animal that didn't want their paw injured more. Then ... she relaxed, the tingles (dull because of the booze) humming their gentle song against her skin. Something - arousal - had her taking a sharp intake of breath when he licked her. Brooklyn grunted a bit, but other than that she didn't make a sound. All the while, she never took her gaze off of Killian's.
Her answer was immediate. "Yes." But she didn't see the swinging bar stool until it was too late. It smashed into splinters. Passersby and dancers that were near them looked at them quizzically. Brooklyn yelled out in fright, though it wasn't Killian that got hit.
It was Sasha.
"I hate demons!" the wizard yelled out, before punching Tyler right in his face. The incubus was too taken aback that Killain wasn't the recipient of his start at a bar fight. So he stumbled back into the next bar stool and fell down behind it. The wizard gained a satisfied look on his face before showing it to Killian and Brooklyn. "Get the f*ck outta here!"

The smile that graced Killian's face was immediate and for a moment, he had to close his eyes and breathe because Brooklyn had said yes. He held her hand a slight bit tighter and opened his eyes again, catching her still trembling lip and glassy eyes. God she was so beautiful. Killian rubbed his thumb acorss her wrist again and nodded. "Thank you Kitten, it means a lot-"
He paused, instinctively keeping his body above hers, his other hand curling around her waist and bringing her close to the safety of his chest as he stared at the danger. He recognized Sasha and frowned, not at all worried about Tyler's sake of well-being. He stared back at Sasha and nodded, "Already on our way. Thank you, I owe you one again." Again. Because if it werent for Sasha, he would have never found Brooklyn as easily as he had. And if he did find her, he was convinced it would have been too late.
"Let's go, dont worry about him, Lue's going to come any second. If not her, then Ventia." And he eased her forward, making sure she left nothing and then making his way back towards the exit.
But he was right, Ventia had glanced up from kissing her lover and saw the ruckus that was going down outside and she would have maybe ignored it, if her bar wasnt getting destroyed. "Oh hell no." Ventia laugh, pushing Lucrezia off of her. Lue pouted, "I'll buy a new one, lets ignore them." Ventia didnt even respond and Lucrezia sighed, anger building at the people whom interrupted her.
Lucrezia was the first to get outside, unlike Ventia she didnt care to put back on her heels or her skirt. She walked out there clad in her thong and loose shirt, her hair was down, her lipstick was smudge against her lips but that didnt matter. All that mattered was the people whom disrupted her. She glanced Killian retreating and decided to let him go, moving in the direction of her incubus.
"You." She pointed at the wizard, "Shut up. There's humans here and you." She turned to look down at her lesser and crouched down until they were eye level. In a instant her eyes were glowing red and she smiled sweetly at him, and if the Red Reaper smiled sweetly at you? It wasnt a good sign.
"I'm going to say this only once, little incubi." She reached out, curling her finger under his chin, "Do the kiss of death one more time and you're mine." She caressed his neck, sliding her nails that had become razor sharp against his skin, enjoying the small lines of blood. Her voice lowered into a seductive whisper. "This is my domain, when you're here, you obey my law." Lucrezia bent her head and pressed a kiss against his lips. She stole all the life essence he had stored in him. It was gone in a flash, making her eyes brighter when she pulled back. She barely left him anything-just enough to survive for the next few nights. She ought to have taken more but that would leave a mess that she wasnt ready to clean up. Most demons of the same species couldnt do that. They couldnt steal from their kin. But Lucrezia wasnt no regular succubi. After all, she was one of Lilth's. Lucrezia licked her red lips and eased her finger away from his throat.
"Be a good boy now." She purred and straightened, turned to see Ventia watching with a slightly interested expression and then turned towards the wizard. "Deeply sorry about your stay here, a drink is on the house. Now, if you excuse me, I have some matters to attend to." Lucrezia turned towards Ventia and walked towards her, her eyes still glowing red from all the souls she had just consumed and she was now horny. Every time she fed, she wanted to fuck. She could barely keep her hands off of Ventia once she got near enough to breathe in that dark scent of hers. "Shall we?"
Ventia nodded at Tyler and Lucrezia shook his head. "He wont be a problem...if he's smart. Come." and Ventia did, knowing her lover all too well.
Outside, Killian stopped a few feet away from the club, bringing his palm to cup Brooklyn's cheek. "I'm sorry." He said again, gently brushing his thumb across her cheek. "I've been a idiot these past two weeks. I hope you can forgive me Brooklyn. I miss you. I've missed you so much. I'm sorry."
"Really I am, do you want to go home and we can talk more there? Or somewhere else?"

Brooklyn couldn't help but to enjoy being protected. If only a little bit. All her life, she'd been the one doing the protecting. She's never given herself the luxury of it. Though now that she was drunk, her now-healed-yet-still-bloody hand held onto Killian, breathing in his scent to relax her. She liked it when she was drunk. She could let all of her barriers down and blame it on her inebriation.
"I love you, Sasha," she said, giving the man she saw as a brother a watery smile. "But be safe!" If she were sober, she'd join in the fight that was about to go down. But she knew that Sasha could hold his own. All of the men in her family could hold their own. Even her cousin on her father's side, who had a thyroid problem and was easily 300 pounds.
Outside, she felt her head start to pound. Her ears rang loudly. Though she didn't care. Even if she wasn't sure what this talk was going to lead to. She was surprised she'd even have said yes!
"Darn right," she murmured, but she shook her head. "I-I'm sorry too." She wrapped her arms loosely around his neck, the smell of alcohol heavy on her breath. "I just –" Brooklyn choked, and shook her head again. Her stomach churned, upset, as she pressed her forehead against his. "Let's go home."
"Don't go home," Sasha interrupted, brushing his hands through his peppered hair as he walked up to them. "Your brothers are there. Maria and Trenton are on Skype. They are not happy, Brooklyn. Most definitely when they see you drunk on his arm." Then he turned to Killian and lifted his shoulder in a shrug. "They are not pleased with you, and you haven't met Diego yet."
Brooklyn groaned. "I don't want to go home now."
"I advise call them and tell them you are all right. I'll take your car home." With Bob's permission, he took her purse and fished around for her keys. "Where are – Nevermind." Then he gave the purse back to her started to walk away.
"How did he even get here?" Bob whispered to her mate, opening one bloodshot eye.
Sasha overheard, and his answer was simple. "Teleportation!"

Killian shook his head at her apology, realizing now that he didn't want it. The anger that he believed was there had just...vanished. It was like it wasn't even there to begin with. Killian caressed her cheek again...feeling complete with her next to him now. Even the simple act of her wrapping her arms around his neck was enough to make him happy. God he missed this the most. Just being next to her. Holding her. Breathing in her scent. Killian moved his hands down until he had them wrapped loosely around her waist and then he hugged her tight, burying his face in her shoulder, taking a deep breath. He shuddered and finally relaxed before pressing a kiss to her exposed skin and then leaning back to look at her.
"Ssh, it's okay Brooklyn. You don't need to apologize anymore." His lips twitched at the mentioning of home and he found himself smiling again. "Home." He agreed, "lets go home-"
He paused at the sight of Sasha, briefing smelling Lucrezia on him which meant the fight officially ended. Good. He listened and rolled his eyes, "I don't care if their not happy. They're going to have to deal with me." He returned the shrug and then glanced at Brooklyn once Sasha left.
"Come on. We'll hide out at the place I'm staying at until the morning." He tugged her down the block, where his car sat parked and he opened the door for her, making sure she was seated before closing it and entering from the driver's side. Then? He eased out of the spot, moving in the direction of the hotel he's been staying at.
He reached for Brooklyn's hand as he drove and within minutes he parked again and shut off the engine, before helping Brooklyn out and going inside the hotel. A few moments later he was entering the room he rented out and he held the door open for her.
The room smelled entirely of him, no other scents were strong enough to linger. Which meant he had bought no one here. And he hadn't. It was just..him. He wasn't lying when he said he stopped. Sure he lied and said he didn't. But after Brooklyn left him with that kiss. He just couldn't.
"Let me get you something to drink. How's your head? You must have drank a lot to get drunk." He closed the door and moved to the small kitchen that was there, pouring water into a glass and offering it to her.
"Brooklyn... I'm sorry for sleeping with others. I stopped? You know. But still. I knew it would hurt you and I wanted to hurt you like you hurt me. But I regret it. Because I'm a idiot. I shouldn't have let what happened at the warehouse get to me. I should have been more understanding. I'm sorry. I won't hurt you ever again. I can't. You mean..you mean everything to me. These past two weeks have been hell. I'm sorry."

Everything she did leading up to sitting down on a chair in the room, she did without hesitance. Leaning on his arm to his car so that she didn't fall over. Holding his hand within the car – even going so far as to laying her head against his bicep. She closed her eyes on the way over there, a sure sign that (at least in her drunken state) she trusted him. And in the hotel room, she took a deep, yet nondescript breath to see if Killian had any women.
But all she could smell was his wonderful scent. And this caused her to grin like a fool. That was enough for her. Just smelling him and nothing or anyone else. It gave her a sense of security.
Slowly, she took her heels off without her hands. And as he apologized and explained himself after giving her the water, she watched him with soft eyes. She couldn't say that it didn't bother her that he tried making her angry. Because it did. It hurt. But what hurt more was that she hurt him.
She took a shaky breath in through her mouth before standing up and setting the glass down, untouched. "And I'm sorry," she responded, her bare feet stumbling a bit before she wrap her arms around Killian's middle. She didn't care if he said to stop apologizing. He wasn't the only one that got the blame.
Now, she might not have been whoring around, but she was going to tonight. "My family says trusting hasn't been my strong. I should have believed that you would never …" she couldn't finish the thought, lips twisting into a grimace. But she wrapped her arms around his neck again. She just couldn't stop … touching him. As if she was making sure that he was real.
Tears sprung to her eyes again, relieved that he was. She tightened her hold and buried her nose into the place where his shoulder and neck meant. "I love you, Kilian. So much."

Killian watched Brooklyn as she stepped inside his hotel room, his lips curling slightly into a smile at the sight of her taking a deep breath and most importantly that grin. That grin was evidence that she knew he wasn't fucking around anymore. That grin made him feel better about not accepting the offers for sex. Made him know that it was the right choice.
He watched her, enjoying the sight of her taking off her shoes and the soft expression she had on her face. He moved his hand to catch her on her unsteady feet and when she wrapped her arms around his middle, he held her close, listening.
After everything, he pressed his forehead against hers, briefly closing his eyes and rubbing her back gently. "It's okay Brooklyn. Trusting is hard. You don't have to apologize anymore. Let's just...turn a new page love." He eased back to look into her eyes, smiled at the fact that she wrapped her arms around his neck and then frowned slightly at the sight of her tears.
He was about to say something but he stopped at her words. Those words repeating continuously through his mind. Love was...such a strange thing. When he was young he craved it from his parents. After his own parents used him for prostitution, he didn't think that there was such things as love. Because parents were supposed to love their children and his never showed love to him. As he matured, he figured there was such things but he didn't want no part in it. He wanted pleasure. But it was all a lie. He still wanted love. Brooklyn made him realize that and more importantly, she forced him to realize that he loved her. And now...she was returning it? He could finally have love?
Killian's head bowed into her shoulder and without realizing it, Killian started to cry.

Turning a new page? Brooklyn can handle that. Her family would be upset. Her father might have Killian do something to prove his worth to him instead of letting Brooklyn be the judge of that. Sasha was all for it though, telling her about his prophetic dream about a cat and bird living in harmony. And Gyro was all sorts of put out because he grew attached to Killian - and Gyro was a good judge of character. Right now? All she wanted to hear was how good of a man Killian was for her. How well they clicked.
These tingles have told her countless times they did, too.
She was just ... content with holding him and being held in return. Of course, he was holding her more than the other way around, because she couldn't stand up straight. She was going to have one heck of a hangover.
Her tears didn't stop when she found that her shoulder was becoming wet with his tears. On the contrary, she was crying even more now. Why? She wasn't sure. Killian wasn't a cryer, so she should be wondering why Killian was crying. Especially after she confessed to Killian. That wasn't the case. She bawled for roughly a alf hour, while at the same time caressing Killian's back and letting her fingers roam through his hair.
Brooklyn's makeup was ruined. Her perfect eyes now looked like someone socked her in the face twice. There were mauve-colored stains and black-colored stains on his shirt. Tear stains made distinct tracks through the foundation on her cheeks, yet when she pulled back to look at Killian she didn't care if she looked like Quasimodo. "Tell me you love me, so I don't look like a fool."

He held her, leaning against the counter and just held her. Silent tears ran down his cheeks as she touched him. By the time she pulled back, he realized he had been crying. He couldn't really remember the last time he cried like this but it didn't matter. All that mattered was Brooklyn.
He stared into her eyes and let out a little laugh at her words, his own tears stopping. "You could never look like a fool." He bought one hand up to cup her cheek, brushing back invisible tears. "You're so beautiful Brooklyn." And she was. Even with the ruin makeup. She was the most beautiful person ever for Killian. She saw something inside of him that no one else did. More importantly, she forced him to see it too. Forced him to acknowledge his true desires.
And that was simply: to be loved.
"I love you."
"I think I secretly loved you since the day you arrested me." He laughed a little, brushing his thumb across her cheek. "I should wait until you're sober but I don't think I can. Maybe I'm a little scared that when you're sober you'll not want me anymore. Come on." He smiled slightly and eased her further into his room and nodded at the bed.
"Sit," he helped her down and then moved on over to the drawer, grabbed the black box that was sitting alone and went back to Brooklyn and then kneeled in front of her.
"Now. You don't have to answer me right now. But I want to do this right this time. For real this time. No more lies. I want you to know that there's no other woman I'm ever planning on asking this question. That you're it. I want no one else. Just you." Killian opened his hand, showing off the black little box and slowly he opened it, showing off the beautiful diamond ring.
"Will you, Brooklyn Ophelia Bishop, marry me?"

A blush rose to her cheeks at the sound of "beautiful". She couldn't help it. Her intoxication made her feel like an innocent woman who was fond of compliments. Someone that her mother wanted her to be when she was younger. When he spoke of when she first arrested him she couldn't help but giggle a bit. Then she frowned. "I'll always want you, Killian," she responded, then did as she was told.
Her eyes followed his back curiously, her hands motionless on her lap. That curiosity turned into realization. And the realization deteriorated into tears. This time, they were happy tears. Happy tears because Killian never wanted to marry anyone but her. Never wanted to have sex with anyone but her. Killian wanted to be truthful this time, marry her for real. She can feel all of those things that she had felt with the fake engagement and not feel wrong about it. Never having to worry if Killian felt the same way as her. Because this time, she knew that he did.
Her hands framed his face immediately, nodding her consent because she couldn't speak. She bent her head, and gave him a fierce kiss on the lips that lasted longer than two seconds. Yes, most definitely, she wanted to marry him. Yes, she was willing to give up her last name she was so proud of to become a Constantine. Yes, she was going to suffer through teases and taunts at work because she married "Cole". But she didn't care. Because she loved him.
