Jackson was tired. He hadn't been expecting to wake up and coax Rikara to let loose into another shift and definitely didn't expect it to be hours long. There were many moments where he had to turn to his witchblood and start casting just to keep everything under control. Matter of fact, seeing the grotesque beast in front of him, whole and healthy, was more of a relief than any emotion Rikara would expect of him.
He took a good look at the darkness that coated her and then raised a eyebrow at Rikara once she spared a glance his way. His expression was slightly tired but still very much so like himself.
"Stop looking at it with so much surprise. It's yours. Accept it. Just because you have darkness in you doesn't mean you have to use it for the wrong thing Kara." He finally stood up from sitting on the coffee table in front of the couch. Glanced once at her tail and dragged the very expensive table to the corner of the room where she wouldn't accidentally break it.
He turned back to her and sighed, "You have demon blood in you." Jackson stated, just in case her form wasn't enough to convince her. "I've always thought so. Since we were young, I felt something in you that I felt in me. That's why I stayed longer than expected. Because in some ways, we were similar. I asked your mother once but she just hated me more after that, denying everything. I told myself, I was a child just trying to cling onto anything that gave me a little bit of peace. But turns out, I was right after all."
"It would be your father. Either him himself or someone in his line. Your mother has no drop of it and no one from her line either or else I would have noticed it. Plus, seeing as how this is in your blood, it means through bloodlines. Not that you killed thousands of innocent souls and they rewarded you with evil powers and all that sunshine." Jackson turned to his dresser, since he was still only in boxers and pulled out dark jeans and a green shirt and started to dress.
He grabbed the ponytail that was on the dresser and pulled his hair up. "My grandfather probably knows the answer. Next time I'm in hell, I'll ask for you."
