"Um...it's live satellite feed." Tia said. "And the pictures are the ones that A Team's scout took two days ago it seems." Tia said clicking at her computer to check the properties of the files.
"Using a facial recognition system, I can tell you that as of right now, they are both walking from warehouse 3 to warehouse 1." Mia said as she tracked two bodies movements on screen.
"Tabasco is right, Daphne. We are only the Beta team because most of us here are either not old or experienced enough or just don't want the hassle of being the first in." Frederick said. "We each have skills, skills that are needed and lets be honest, no one in A team has a mouse shifter who could deal with the minefield. We would have been pulled in anyway."
"Actually, I was thinking if Raina flies you to the electricity box and puts you down, she can then fly over the dogs and make them go nuts which would cause two distractions. Then we only have to deal with the Guards and possibly boobie traps in the east. Unless someone wants to go in the North side and take on the dogs and bears?" Mia asked. Tyson grunted in acceptance and held up a finger. Tyson was a huge, black bear shifter and could barrel in anywhere.
"So if at the same time as we shut down the electricity, Tyson deal with the animals then Raina can be overhead telling us which way guards are running. We can then get through the electricity fence and to the three warehouses. Raina can keep an eye out for the two guys you want and tell you where they are." Tia said.
"I like it." Frederick said. "Tyson hits them from the North; Drogo, you want to join him?" Frederick asked. "Raina will drop Wendy at the switch box severing them there and then head to the south entrance, navigating the team a path in. Raina will be above, letting us know which way people are going and Tabasco, Thea and I will each hit a warehouse. Wendy will guide the girls out the south entrance where Daphne will be waiting to guide them to Matthew and the trucks. We patch up the worst ones and then Daphne gets them back here. Matthew waits with Tia and Mia for us." Frederick explained.
"Once the girls are safe, Wendy can scout for any runners and you can go get them if you want and Raina will scout for the heads. Once the dogs, bears and guards are taken care of, Tyson and Drogo can come join us at the warehouses. Then when all is done, we torch the place and leave. Sound good? In, out, no muss no fuss."
"We've got free range on equipment and ammo, right?" Tia asked and Frederick nodded.
"Cool, we can make a couple of bombs and remote detonate this shit." Mia said excitedly.
"Okay, how long does that need?"
"We can be wheels up in an hour." Tia said.
"Everyone else ok with that? Wheels up in an hour? Get what you want from the armoury and meet in the Garage." Frederick suggested and he looked to Thea to check this was okay.

Thea had actually wanted for Drogo to stay with Matthew and Daphne, so that they could have some protection as they did the harrowing task of getting the girls out. But Thea nodded her head at Frederick, acquiescing to his plan. The more she listened to them speak, the more agitated she became. The more agitated, the more she believed that an hour was too much time.
But Thea felt like a fish out of water here. Yes, she’s Lena’s left-hand man while Kenneth was the right-hand man. But she’s never been in one of these team briefs. Honestly she’s never really been the one to be planning in a team such as this, much less act in her leadership role. If her mistaking a livestream for pictures was any indication.
So she agreed to the plans, the one-hour time limit. The seeming cohesiveness of B Team. Knowing full well that no matter what happens, she was going to be the one to kill both men.
*** She wasn’t the first to leave the conference room. In fact, she was the last, leaving after Frederick to gather up the files that Westly had procured. Thea’s hands shook slightly, more than likely from the overflow of emotions that she was feeling.
“Damn it,” she muttered to herself, taking in a deep breath before letting go of it in a rush.
“I quite liked that show,” Loki said at her shoulder. Looking up at her great times a lot grandfather, she finished gathering everything and tucked the files in the crook of her elbow and made a motion to stand without saying a word.
“Before you get up,” Loki said, pulling a chair out to sit down. “I know that your father being incapacitated at this time is making you -in a word- antsy. You’re angry that someone deigned to try to kill him when it should be you to dole out your justice, and seeing people that should be dead walking freely.” He put his elbow on the table and used that as support to lean forward, closing the distance between the two. There was a mad glint in his eye and a smirk identical to Thea’s causing the corners of his lips to turn upward slightly. “So I have a plan of my own.”
“I don’t want -“ Thea started in exasperation, but Loki’s hand grabbed her wrist, effectively stopping her.
“Listen. Just listen. I have something for you to ensure that Westly will stay alive while you’re away.” From the inner pocket of his suit jacket he pulled a pen and took a loose slip of paper from one of the folders she had in her arm and wrote some words down.
“That’s the back of one of the surveillance photos that was taken,” Thea protested hotly, huffing as she wrenched her wrist out of Loki’s grip.
He ignored the protest and folded it after he was finished. Instead, he handed it back to her. “Have the witch -“
“You mean Selena?”
“Yes. Have her recite that. Westly’s life will not end and you’ll have the opportunity to kill him when you get the chance.”
“Okay,” Thea responded, flustered but didn’t have the chance to look fully at what he had written as he continued to speak.
“Another thing. I will come along on this escapade. I have a feeling that this plan that they have created will go the way you want, so I’ve decided that you will need a distraction of your own.”
At first, Thea wasn’t sure if she should listen. From what she’s read about the god in front of her, he was a well-known trickster that did things for his own benefit. But she couldn’t help it. She wanted to hear what he had to say.
“No one on B-Team will get hurt because of this, right?” she asked.
“You have my word.” And when Loki knew for a fact he had her attention, he began to tell her his plan.
**Ten Minutes Down**
Thea walked into the recovery room Westly was being housed in for the time being, not looking at the shell of her father but at Lena, who hadn’t left his side since Thea left for the meeting with B Team.
Without preamble, she held out her hand, the slip of paper Loki wrote on wedged between her first and middle fingers. “Here. I want you to do your witchy thing and cast this spell.” There had been no way to come up with a reasonable excuse without outing Loki why she had a spell. But she needed, with every fiber of her being, to make sure that Westly would be fine while she was gone.
“No questions asked.”
Then, without giving Lena the opportunity to ask them, she put the slip of paper on her cousin’s lap and kissed her forehead quickly before walking out.
**Thirty Minutes Down** Come see me in my room. was the unsent text she had for Kenneth, but thought better of it. Loki was tailing her like a shadow, and she wanted to keep Loki from Kenneth as much as possible. It didn’t get past Thea that he was injured; she wanted to know what had happened. Did he go with Westly and A-Team? Thea had the desire to ask everyone what had happened. Elaine especially since she was close to her than most. But with only thirty minutes left, she didn’t have the time to ask the cat.
In her room, she had dropped the files on the end of her bed and went to the closet. She wasn’t sure what everyone else was wearing, but she was planning on wearing the tactical gear she had. A belt for ammo was standard, as were the two holsters should she bring guns. As well she should, but she only wanted to bring her axe. There was just something about only having that that gave her a sense of ... honor. She wasn’t quite sure, but guns were too insensitive for this mission.
Thea wanted to make her targets know that they failed to break her. Wanted to see the look of fear, smell the stench of it wafting from them as she took their lives.
Thea knew that Loki would need them though. So she would grab them and extra ammo just in case.
She didn’t think he would end up needing them though.
Before she walked out, she grabbed a pair of gloves that helped her wield her axe.
**Forty Minutes Down**
Thea was in the armory, putting on the harness that helped her attach her axe to her back, looking at the guns that lay before her.
Then there was a thought.
The rocket launcher.
She smiled. A genuine, if a bit crazed, smile that lit up her face momentarily. She’s never had the chance to use it outside of practice. She was going to use it somehow.
Then another thought came.
I want Kenneth here. Which causes her to snort then growl as she picked up two pistols and an extra mag each to put in the holsters and corresponding clips. Every day that she was with the Guild, it seemed the more soft she was getting. The more pup-like.
What was Kenneth going to do, come in on a white horse and whisk her away? No. He was going to be staying here with Lena while Drogo was to be her babysitter.
Surely Kenneth wouldn’t let her leave without saying goodbye, though, right? Thea turned to her axe, plucked it off the wall that held all the bladed weapons, and slammed it into its clip in a practiced swooping motion.
Kenneth was her weakness. She had to admit it, lest she go crazy. Even if she just admitted it to herself.

Mia and Tia got their bombs together and went into the garage before walking over to the A Team's surveillance and computer tech van. The girls almost dropped at all the equipment in the back of the van. It had all the equipment and computers they could ever want. The tech was all up to core and up to spec.
Mia and Tia got into the back of the van and using one of the tables in here they tuned up the bombs and finished them off.
****
Frederick and Tyson both went to their rooms to get changed into their 'uniforms' which included stab vests and grabbed a duffel bag with a change of clothes. They both went to the armory and picked up their favourite 'toys' and all the ammo they were going to need before heading down to the garage.
****
Lena almost jumped out of her skin when Thea came running into the ICU. She didn't get even one word out before Thea was gone again and Lena looked down to the handwritten piece of paper in her lap. She could see that the ink was still drying in sections.
Lena read through the spell and wondered where Thea could have gotten such a spell. It essentially tied Westly to Thea so he could not die unless it was by her hand. The spell would be broken if Thea ever died. Lena was a bit unsure about this spell but then she looked up at all the wires, monitors and IVs in Westly. Lena sighed because Thea had asked her to do it no questions asked.
"Oh bugger it." Lena growled as she stood up.
"You're going to do the spell?" Kenneth asked.
"It is no questions asked." Lena said as she read through the spell again. She let out a deep sigh. "I need Thea for the spell, can you get her please?" Lena asked. "I am going to get supplies. " Lena sighed as she left the room for her supply cupboard in her office before returning to the ICU to set up.
**** Kenneth left the room and headed for where he could smell Thea. He walked into the armory and smiled at his mate.
"Hello beautiful. You ok?" He asked. "That spell you want Lena to do, she needs you."

By the time Kenneth walked in, she had gotten her rocket launcher from its designated spot on the wall and was currently holding it. Thea remembered when it came to the Guild, a personal gift from Lena because she had merely made the mention of wanting one. (For someone who wanted Thea to ease up on her homicidal tendencies, Selena sure did give her every option in choosing how to act out said homicidal tendencies.)
At Kenneth’s voice, she startled before ducking her head and wiping her cheek on her sleeve to ease the blazing in them. Fuck. Now that he was here, calling her beautiful, she suddenly felt ... well, inadequate.
Although she wasn’t sure inadequate was the right word. She felt like she could hold her own against him. After she admitted to herself that, like Selena and her mother and younger siblings, he had become a weakness. Kenneth was so much more, because on days where she wasn’t feeling homicidal or worrying about the quads, she caught herself of thinking of him. Of having sexual thoughts even though she was absolutely terrified of sex. Of her wanting to know anything and everything about him because he knew everything about her and she genuinely wanted to know. Wondering how he puts up with her even though she’s repeatedly rejected her advances and half the Guild believes to be true that Thea likes to rub salt in wounds for the hell of it?
Each day, she wonders if he’ll end up just breaking the bond. And there are days like today where he will show affection in front of the Guild and call her beautiful, and she’s disgusted with herself how shitty she treats him and wonders why he hadn’t already.
Such a conundrum. Especially when she was more upset at the fact that she secretly liked the attention. She’s supposed to be a feared and hated person, dammit.
She cleared her throat, then turned with the launcher still in her hands. “Why does she need me?” Thea said sharply, forcing her mind to the topic at hand. Thea just knew that Selena would ask questions even though she was told “no questions asked”.
Then she took a breath and released it slowly, walking closer to him. Between where she had been and where Kenneth was now, she had put the launcher on a wheeled table, knowing that she only had twenty minutes to go before she left on this mission. And she promptly reminded Kenneth that before motioning him to lead the way.
“Oh, by the way,” Thea said, trying to give off the vibe that she was nonchalant in all of this. “I saw you limping earlier. What is that about?”
