The night of the sky shined with bright stars in the sky with a large round moon shining down on the desert. The sound of howling filled the air as the silence of the eagle owl hide behind the noises flying across the sky. The wings reaching far as it came for a landing pushing the sand aside by grains, the wings flapped a few more times before slipping behind to fold against its back. The bob and movement of her head suggested she saw something worthwhile, ahead, it seemed she was just wasn't interested.
Her leg had a gold chain with several beads and jewels on them, she wore it well even in this form it remained a reminder of her former life in the compound. As if without thought she would begin to run across the sand in her eagle owl form before she would begin to transform, the jewel turning into an ankle bracelet forming with her. Her naked form bathed in the moonlight looking like the honeyed silk, she ran as fast as her feet could carry her before she turned back in a flash. She was mid-air flapping her wings seeing how fast she could fly, it was like a test to her like she was running something. She would only look down when she heard the snapping of jaws. Seeing a wolf she would hover in place for a bit, her eyes would become piercing before she would fly off.
Landing on the close line of Kia's house she would turn her head to the house before preening her self a little. It was only a few moments before Kia would come outside in her night clothes and a shawl wrapped around her arms, and clothes for Chakori who would move to the ground in a few flaps hopping inside. Kia would follow her slowly setting the clothes down inside on the kitchen counter, she would then start to make tea knowing Anthony would remain away for some time.
Chakori would slowly turn back and start to dress, she eyes would watch Kia for a bit as she did so before she averted her gaze. When Kia turned around seeing the body language of the woman she would give a hopeful smile handing her something Chakori had taught her called chi tea. Chakori would take it and sip it gently after puffing air against it, the women remained in each others company in silence for a time.
" Chakori were you practicing tonight?"
Chakori would only nod her head seeming deep in thought, it was almost like she had not heard her. She would then seem to come out of her concentration and smile before sipping the tea again. Kia would tilt her head a little as if the woman had just noticed the taste of the tea.
" Thank you for thinking of me."
Kia would smile drinking her own blend of tea, her wolf inside seemed ready to run but she had been holding it back for weeks. Slowly sitting down on one of her bar stools for the kitchen area.
" Well you are apart of the pack regardless of species, I am thankful for the things you have done. Even if you think they are small"
She said softly as she sipped her tea again, Chakori smiled and bobbed her head a little before looking at the house. She never understood why she would want to live where the man that had held her captive and did those horrible things to her. She figured it must be that it previously was her family's house, she gently drank the chi tea before looking to Kia who smiled warmly to her. There was a long silence again while they sipped their tea, it was like they both were waiting for someone.
" Good evening ladies"
They would both turn to see a strong looking man his hair Platinum and the oddest of eyes, Chakori would take in a break as if she had seen a very stunning sight. Kia would watch him without care she had a man, a smile would quirk her lips before moving between him and Chakori as the man seemed unaware of how he was gawked at. She knew something Chakori didn't.
" Good evening. Do you have a message for me?"
She would smile but it would fade as another man stepped inside, She would fully block Chakori seeing him becoming threatened by his presence her eyes would narrow. No one made a move as Chakori made her self as small as possible as she gripped the tea that still seemed fairly hot. Neither man said a word but having seen the mark on them she knew that Voss had people that were not of the pack come and go all the time with the same markings that they held. Yet it was on their skin instead of cloth, she wondered what was happening pressing her self against Kia's back guarding the tea as if it was precious.
" Yes, Give this to your leader. "
The second man that had dark hair and piercing eyes handed her an envelope before smiling a wicked smile. Kia would take it hesitantly not sure if she should, though she noticed the other man had shifted between her and the other as if he was shielding him...or perhaps them? She would take the envelope holding it against her. She would wait not moving in the stalemate, she had no idea why the second man gave her chills and caused her to be tense.
The Platinum haired man remained where he was till the other man turned and left. He would place his hands together and bow deeply to the women before turning to leave. Kia would remain still for a few moments longer till there smell was only a reminder of them being there. Then she would throw the large envelope on the kitchen counter, she let out the breath she was holding.
Chakori would set her tea down touching her stomach feeling as if she was going to throw up, she had felt as if her eagle owl had been trapped in one of their jaws. It's panic coming to the surface, it had her slowly sitting down on the stool that Kia had been on moments ago. She would look to Kia.
" This is why I practice. But it seems as if it is not good enough. I felt very small."
Kia would smile and let out a small laugh which had Chakori looking at her oddly, Kia would move over handing her cup pushing it up so she would drink it seemed to calm the nerve of her stomach.
" A bird is always afraid of a cat"
Kia stated softly having Chakori blinking a few times to look at her, she wondered how she had figured them for cats. Chakori could not smell anything like Kia, she found it odd that only the wolves she could smell wet dog or a deep musk. And they had to be very close for her to really be able to smell. Kia had not been afraid of the first cat that had walked in that the second made her feel threatened in her own little part of the pack's world like another wolf had moved into her territory. She thought it was ridiculous knowing who they were, not really knowing them personally though she couldn't say.
" Could you take that with you when you see Voss?"
Chakori would look down at the large envelope and nodded before she went back to sipping her tea. She enjoyed her time around Kia who often didn't sleep at night that well, she often sat and drank tea with her and maybe had a nibble here or there depending on whether she had refused to allow her eagle owl to hunt.
