VossSarah started working on getting Laina and Jewel switched back as soon as the group had recovered from their “Great Misadventure”, as so aptly named by Cardinal. All through the ship ride, she had explained to an intoxicated Felicity the base of what happened starting from the shipwreck, until the ship to rescue them had arrived. Of course, this was in between the memories that surfaced and replayed for her, in which one made her (after she had calmed down) wonder whether the family she left on Earth was as wonderful she thought they were. Or maybe that wasn’t actually a memory, as Felicity had warned. But a figment of her imagination. Because her mother’s brother had always been nice to her. The first time she tried fixing her mistake was an utter failure; her magic not even responding to the words of the spell she had cast. Felicity had reminded her then that her intention had to be strong, just like it had been then. To which Sarah retorted that no one wanted for her mistake to be fixed more than she did. The next time that they had convened, her magic reacted to the elements that were called to witness and tried its best to do as was asked. But to no avail. It was then that everyone looked back to that night. Or more specifically, what was in the sky that night. That was when Felicity told Sarah just how important how important celestial bodies were to their family’s magic. So they waited for two weeks, in which there was a very important event to happen. That was when they would do it. In the meantime, Sarah worked even harder with Felicity on her magic, gathered as much information about the event two weeks from now and reworked the spell over and over again to make sure that she was clear on what her intention was. While she was doing all of this, Julian and Anya helped her when she asked. Anya, she had expected to help because that was her best friend - of course she would help. Even though she had asked for his help, she hadn’t expected him to … be so willing? Like she would have forced him to help her. She was sure that if she asked for his help before he would have helped her then too. But his confession made it more surreal. All the while, Crevan had gone to his castle. As much as she wanted to fix things between them, Sarah stayed at the castle with everyone else. She didn’t want to leave Laina and Jewel until they were able to be switched back. And she was sure her master wanted his space. She vowed to herself that she would go to him after the spell. Hopefully he would be less angry and more open to her. The air in the outer garden was cool on her face, relieving her of the pressure the situation’s atmosphere was putting on here. There were a lot of people here tonight. A lot of eyes looking at her. Souls wanting for everything to go according to plan. Minus two, all of those that were there had been when the two women were switched. There were four new faces however: on top of Cardinal, Anya, and Julian, Jewel’s husband Nathaniel waited, not two steps from “Laina”. She had met him shortly after he had arrived a week and a half ago, having been the one to lead him to the castle much like she had with Jewel, Thea, and Ludin. There, she helped fully explain the situation that Jewel was in, and promised him she would do everything she could to get her back to normal. Nathaniel had smiled, a human expression that she was afraid was only for show. Because in his eyes, she saw only animal. “Thank you. I’ve missed my Darling Doctor something terrible. And I’m glad to see that she isn’t in a worse situation.” That was when he had looked at ‘Laina’, taking his yellow gaze from her thankfully. “Laina” had smiled sheepishly upon meeting his gaze, almost as if she was in trouble. Sarah breathed in deep, gathering her thoughts as she looked up in the sky. This had to work. It had to.

Crevan sat before a small stone shrine with a sketch preserved with magic from the outside and weather. A tent not far out in the garden from the run-down castle had a fire before it. All his things were there, he wore only his tunic and pants. His weapons before the shrine, all he did was sit and stare at the sketch. The soil in the garden smelled rich as the day she started working in it. Even though thousands of years had passed after her death.
He felt a wetness on his hands looking down seeing droplets He would look up into the sky," It is cloudy Aranel. I think it is raining today.."He said though the sky was fairly clear as the sun had started to set. The red hues dancing along the horizon. In the garden, a stone slab had been shifted to make steps down into something. He stayed out of it, not being his. Practice dummies and old practice swords and other weapons leaned against a weapons rack gathering.
When he rose from the shrine he would pull the tunic from himself throwing it inside the tent. He walked from there out further in the center where a large stone stood that had sword slashes in it fairly deep. He had noticed moonflowers had bloomed around the rock. They were his wife's favorite flower, he didn't think they would grow wild on their own. It was something pleasant to see here. He would take a deep breath as he shifted his hands before him and the ink on his body would move.
It striking out from his body slicing through the large and long-standing rock. With the force of it the piece severed flew in the air a bit. "Glacientur?" (Freeze!) Some of the stone would hover in place as if frozen in time as the rest would hit the ground. They barely missed the flowers, he dared not take his eyes off it as he brow sweat. He had not used magic in a very, very long time. "Restituo!" (Repair!) It was like a clock rewind back in time as the rock would come back together as if nothing happened.
He would fall to his knee as he breathed heavily the sweat pooling on him his hands shaking lightly before he gripped his fingers together tightly before standing once more. He would let out a large yawn as if trying to catch his breath. He would walk to the side of the garden where it went down into a cellar. He would step down the stairs quickly following his nose to the best barrel of wine. He would run his hand over the dust before he would lift it off the shelf resting it on his shoulder balancing it with his arm as he went back upstairs setting it on a crate by the entrance to the cellar. Grabbing an old wine barrel tapper he would blow on it before he thought it was clean enough and shoved it into the seal.
He would kneel before it taking down his stein from the crate he would let the blood wine flow quickly into the large vessel. He did not waste a drop downing the Crimson drink. He had gone through several barrels while being here testing the strength of magic in each of them. So far none had been good enough to help sustain his ability to create magic. The queen was the only one who could do so without drinking from a witch, and if she did her power was twice as strong.
He grew angry again but it died quickly knowing where he was, he would let out his breath slowly taking another drink. He should not waste it in any sense, he would set the vessel down before stretching a little. He would disrobe the slacks and wrap a kilt around his waist. It had been something his brother said men did from Scotland, he found them airy for the nether regions. As he walked out the back of the lined stone wall he would grab the ax off it heading out to chop down some trees under the three full moons.
~*~
Anya sat on one of the stones near and around where the ceremony was to take place. She had been invited by Sarah every time they tried to switch the queen and the healer back. She had learned of it after coming back, now? Well, now was a high tension moment waiting for something to happen. A man from the other realm was here for his mate, and Sarah had failed a few times before. It was not that she didn't believe in her friend it was that her worry that the guests would grow impatient. Especially the male.
Julian was there but seemed deep in thought at the moment as he rubbed his signet ring. It was like he was weighing something in his mind, his face stoic much like Crevan's often was. He sat not far from Anya who was ready to see her friends attempt work this time for her. She would look to Julian who she worried for she had not seen hide nor hair from Adisa since they had returned from the island's ill fate. He would sigh coming out of his thought," How high were the moons that night when you did this spell?"
Damien would stand near Jewel who seemed a little nervous over the span had started feeling her skin crawl like something was trying to get out of her. Thankfully she had yet not transformed though tonight her skin was on fire with the itching need. She kept twitching as she forced herself still leaning gently against him. He would gently touch her shoulder trying to calm her but that did not even work anymore.
~*~
A dark damp room had only the dimmest of lights that you could still see nothing, the sound of rats squeaking among the stone. A bright light would filter into the room from its pitched black as the door swung open. " Get up!" A guard grunted a mass of clothes and matted hair trembled." I said get up you shit!" The guard would swing back his foot as if he was going to kick the mass. He would go flying with the sound of an incantation. "Come lovely." Was Helliana's voice strict and strong, the trembling mass would slowly get up following her out of the dungeon.
"Strip." The mass would do as it was told, a very thin Adisa would stand against the wall her eyes void of anything as she was sprayed down. Once that was done she would sit in a tub full of hot water. Helliana would scrub her filth from her and do her hair. " You will get your judgment today. " She thought she had had enough being locked away like that. But it was not her court any longer, though she doubted they knew she had been put down there. The guards had taken her to be sentenced. But with Crevan gone the guards took it upon themselves to teach her a lesson.
Adisa did not say a word only stood up when prompted to be dried off. She was given a white long tunic to wear with a belt. " You will wait in the throne room. I have somewhere to be." She said softly as she headed for the switch. She would do as she was bid, Adisa slowly walking up out of the dungeon and through the halls tills he reached the throne room. This is where she laid on the tile closing her eyes the tears seeping through them being closed. She would sniffle as she prayed that the queen would take pity on her. What she did not know was that the prince would have her fate in his hands.

Laina's thirst for sustenance was growing stronger and stronger by the day, causing her to be more irritable.
Nathaniel had came regardless of the letter reassuring that Jewel was fine. It wasn't that he didn't trust Panos, Jewel's grandfather, to keep her safe. But this was Jewel. His wife and mate, the mother of his four adorable kids, and his Darling Doctor. He didn't trust anyone to keep her safe near as much as he trusted himself.
He had been taken aback at the predicament Jewel was in, never having been a situation like this to his knowledge before. However he didn't miss a step; after the little witch explained how it all started, and hopefully when it will end, he had walked without hesitation to Jewel, not her body, and framed her face in his hands.
"You. Scared. Me." he had whispered, looking past the purple-and-platinum eyes to the soul behind them. Nathaniel's hands had been gentle, the thumbs rubbing her cheeks gently.
"I'm sorry," "Laina" had whispered back, closing her eyes and holding his wrists as if to keep his hands where they were. She had felt his pulse there, beating rather rapidly. Smelled his fear, dissipating quickly. Like he had made sure that it was Jewel and not a figment of his imagination or trap.
She had to refrain from going for his throat.
Back in the present, "Laina" tried her best not to look miserable, instead opting for an encouraging standpoint for Sarah. It was difficult, she had to admit. She was aching - not in a physical sense - to get back into her own body. Refraining from a biological need was difficult. But she guessed it was because she felt nauseous at the thought. That, and she didn't want to even start to get used to the feeling of drinking blood.
And if "Jewel" can refrain from shifting, it was only right for Jewel to do the same.
Felicity was looking up at the sky too, waiting for the near-imperceptible shift the moons must make into their highest points in the sky. The table had been set up exactly as it had the previous three times they were out here: one candle set in each cardinal direction and one in the center, color-coordinated for each of the elements.
The plan was simple: with the moons at their highest points and potency, she would help with casting the circle, then Sarah will do her thing. Felicity was confident in Sarah's ability. She has shown considerable progress. Her power was getting stronger, which made Sarah grow more confident in herself. When Felicity asked if she was ready the day before, Sarah had said yes.
Now, as she looked at her daughter, she knew the severity of the situation. She just couldn't help the small swell of pride in her chest.
Sarah pulled her eyes away from the sky, blinking once before looking to Julian. Her heartbeat stuttered when her eyes met his briefly before looking away at the table. "They were at their highest point," she answered him, firm in her answer. "Which is right about now."
Had Sarah noticed Adisa's absence throughout the castle? Yes. Despite the fact that she didn't like her, Sarah was concerned. Did she expect for Julian and Adisa to be by each other? No, but she was worried that her disappearance had something to do with the slap back on the island. Sarah understood that what she did was wrong, and that she would have had to face consequences. She just hoped that one of those consequences wasn't death.
Shaking her head as if to dislodge her thoughts, she quickly curtsied to the Prince - just a little dip out of habit. "Thank you for being here," she said, giving him a grateful smile before she moved to Anya and bent to give her a quick hug.
She wanted to say "Wish me luck", but refrained, opting for silence instead as she squeezed her friend tightly.
"You're Majesty," Felicity said to "Laina", moving to her place beside the water candle, "Jewel, it's time."
Jewel gritted her teeth, turning to Nathaniel instinctively for support. Nathaniel didn't say anything, only kissed "Laina"'s forehead in a soft peck. Then she made her way to stand beside the earth candle.
Sarah made her way to stand by the air candle, leaving the last spot to stand for "Jewel" was by the candle for fire.
Once everyone was in place, Felicity would start casting the circle. There wasn't anything fancy to how she called to them, just so long as she had been respectful as she did.
Air, I ask that you come to our circle tonight Fire, I ask that you come to our circle tonight Water, I ask that you come to our circle tonight Earth, I ask that you come to our circle tonight Spirit, I ask that you come to our circle tonight
Each element came when called. Sarah felt them manifest as soon as their candles were lit with Felicity's match. Air came to swirl around the women, causing her to smile at the element's playfulness. Fire had warmed her, like she had been standing in front of a hearth on a cold day. Water came in a less physical way; in her mind's eye she saw a still lake, reflecting her face back at her. Earth had her smelling the soft aroma of wildflowers. When she felt Spirit answer, a sense of peace came over her.
As soon as the red candle was lit, there hand been a golden band that connected Felicity and "Jewel" together. Then the band grew until it created the shape of the circle, tying the women together, bright and radiating with power.
"As I will it, the circle is cast."
She clapped once, then held out her hands for "Jewel" and "Laina". Sarah did the same, waiting until everyone had joined hands.
This was it.
She could do this.
Two souls, lost Not in their own I call them out, urge them free To return, happily, to their own

Crevan seemed to have tasked himself with the chopping of trees at the oddest of hours. In the dark, he figured he would sweat less than in the heat of the sun. It still coated his body in the moonlight as he chopped down his seventh tree. He went about trimming the limbs from the lot of them. His body strained to lift three logs to drag back towards his castle, his breath heavy. It was not long that he had moved them back to where he could make lumber of them.
He went about splitting the logs in half, going from there. It would take him till the peak of the moons to gather enough to start on one of the upper floors. He had repaired an area where the servant kitchen had been. Though they had never had any servants in the time they had spent here. She had taken care of everything, his wife had said that she wanted not a chance of competition. It had been a joke but he figured she meant it on some level. Taking the ladder had made leaning it against one of the stone walls he would begin to work on the floors above. Hosting the boards up seemed easy enough after he had replaced the anchor spots.
After he had a spot where he could kneel on the flooring it went much smoother as he hammered away, Feeling a breeze moving across the plain. He looked up seeing a figure of a woman her long hair blowing in the breeze as she danced under the moon. He would look down for a certain amount of time before looking once more. She was gone and with her the breeze, towards the King and Queens castle.
"Crevan?" He for a moment had startled hearing a woman's voice, then remembering Asvi had come with him. He would stand leaving the hammer near the paper bag of nails. He would jump from the height hitting the ground bouncing slightly in his knees. Seeing her holding a hot drink for him he would take it gently." Thank you." He said watching her. Asvi would look out towards the cliffs in the distance. " It is very peaceful here." She said with a whisper, he drank deep before make a satisfying sound." This is why I picked the spot. It was for her." She would look up at this mountain of a man with a sad look. " I am sorry I .." He would shake his head." No need. It does hurt but it also holds good memories." She leaned against a stone wall in the garden. " This person... you spoke of?" He would look to her and then shrug." You will see them when the time is right. Be patient." He would hand her the empty cup back before climbing back up. She held the still-warm cup in her hands before looking out over the cliffs again before going back inside to the kitchen.

Damien had been refraining from holding on to 'Jewel' until the man had become familiar with his queen's body. He had dropped the quick touches and holds, now he treated her as if her being in that body was no different than her own. He did refrain from giving her the pleasures though. He figured that would be too far.
He had held her a few nights ago when the feeling was too great as if she wanted to run towards the livestock. She had sweated like she had been running, her breath the same. He had let her lay upon his chest that night as she shook and held on to him.
He would shake his head at the memory dusting it from his mind for the moment. Hearing Sarah speak to Julian he would focus on the now. The Prince had nodded his head," That is the most powerful moment you would gather from the moon." He said with a smile. When she curtsied for him he would shake his head. " It is an honor." He whispered watching her move to her friend. Anya would squeeze Sarah tightly yet briefly.
She smiled at her giving her a wink, that she knew she needed no luck tonight. So she would hold that for another time, as she leaned back watching her friend.
'Jewel' jumped slightly hearing it was time her body shaking hard as Damien grasped her tightly whispering in her ear." I will see you soon darling. Alone it has been far too long." He had plans once she was back. She laughed shortly hearing him speak and pulled from him to walk over and stand where she knew they had that night. It did not calm her to hear Felicity speak the words for the start of the spell. She would hold out her hands shakey as they were for them. She let out a groan as she heard something snap, the groan went from that to more of a howl of pain as Sarah's came to be. Her grip was tight on their hands though.
~*~
Helliana had made a brief none appearance as she had the night the switch had happened but now she was dead set on finding the guards who had 'watched' Adisa who seemed void of any emotion except sadness. She had found them standing around a brazier poking the fire. They were joking about the witch, saying something along the lines of her uses. The one that spoke she was behind was impaled with her rope dart before she ripped him back, he flew off the end of her weapon bring his insides with it as he hit the wall his body bursting into ashes. She smiled her fangs shown and her eyes crazy.
She went to moving as they scattered using the ribbon to trip one making him shatter his teeth as she darted into a servant's alley chasing this man, her footfalls barely making a sound." I need to feed!!!" She screamed impaling him with her weapon she would yank him back to her." Come here!!" She sunk her fangs into the vampire pulling his blood from his veins with a quickness. Her neck had blood dribbling down it as she let him drop. Her mouth dripped his blood as she watched him sizzle and turn into ash. She decided against walking out instead she would use the wall to kick off of moving up it and the other till she was on top of it running after the one whose blood from the loss of teeth was in the air.
When the man stopped she would descend upon him like a hungry dog ripping at his neck. As he turned to dust she sniffed for the other one. He seemed more clever she could not smell him in the air tonight. Though she had seconds ago scented them all to keep track of them. Her blood-red eyes had calmed licked her lips her fingers were covered in blood that was drying. She would sigh seeing it had stained her cloak. She sighed before moving to a water source and pumped water out to clean it off.
" Such a Dirty feeder." Hearing the voice she would stiffen briefly, she would slowly turn to look at the person who spoke. Celestine stood with his hands in his pocket watching her. He had left Fae in the secondary housing for the Royals when they left the throne. " You are supposed to be exiled." She said her voice sounding angry.
Celestine would shrug his shoulders as he moved from the wall walking towards her." And you are supposed to be in a coffin buried like the human Egyptians do there dead. " He said removing his hands from his pockets. She would take a few steps back wanting to stay out of his reach. " Either way it's good to see you." He said with a smile that most would find charming and flirty.
"I do not feel the same way." She said her tone flat and uninviting. He would make a wounded face and in a blip, he was before her his hands upon her. She would hiss and try to knee him in the family jewels. But he was quicker as he went around her to hold her from behind like a lover." Now is that any way to treat your husband?"
~*~
Adisa felt the energy of the spell from the Throne room, she could feel the souls passing adding themselves to the fray. She sobbed softly remaining on the marble as the throne vibrated she would look to it her crying gone quickly. She would not look at it afraid it might eat her. She would begin to say the witch's prayer usual reserved for forgiveness from a Master. She used it for what she thought was for the end of her life. She briefly wondered if this was her punishment to be eaten by the demon within it.

Jewel had felt the same pain as Laina did. The sensation of her soul being pulled from the body she inhabited was like someone had wrapped it in a fist to have a better chance to wrench it free. Her eyes closed out of instinct; she was thankful that she did because there was that same bright golden glow that left purple spots in its wake behind her lids.
"Hold fast," Felicity said, gritting her teeth against Sarah's magic rising at the end of the spell. Her hands gripped Laina's and Jewel's tightly, as if it was a matter of life or death. She knew how important it was for them to keep holding onto each other. With Sarah, the spell caster, as the path for the souls to take back into their bodies, it was important that contact was not broken.
Sarah did hold fast, as Felicity commanded, eyes open yet not really seeing as a golden glow encompassed her vision - a physical manifestation of her magic. She was breathless, feeling awed.
This came from her?
She blinked once, feeling the spell working, hearing the howls of pain from Jewel and Laina. She shook her head once, closing her eyes. At one moment, she felt lightheaded, on the verge of blacking out. Her stomach was in knots.
But then, everything stopped.
Cardinal watched, heart thumping wildly in his chest. The wind had howled ferociously, the candles' flames climbing three feet in the air and flickering in a rapid dance. The tree he sat in groaned, and he had to hold on to it as it seemed to have leaned forward like it wanted to watch what was going on.
There was something behind each of the women standing there, shadowy figures standing in an almost protective manner. While he held onto his seat, he looked closer, squinting his eyes. It must have been a manifestation of the Spirit element, he guessed. Some sort of guardian-like beings.
However, Sarah's golden aura had started to expand, brightening, until it was too much for his eyes. He cursed in the ancient language of the fae, turning away before he turned blind.
Then everything was dead silent.
***
Jewel came to, head fuzzy and mouth cotton dry. She was dizzy, feeling like she had ridden one too many carnival rides. Her skin itched too, like she needed to get out of it.
"Jewel," she heard her grandfather's voice, a distant bark compared to her mate's soothing voice that came through her mind.
Jewel, are you all right?
The she-wolf looked up catching her husband's yellow gaze. He had been standing behind her then, while she was in Laina's body. But now, he was standing across from her, still behind Laina's body.
She smiled despite her physical ailments, a joyous laugh bubbling up in her throat. I'm just fine, Fancy Feathers.
Sarah's body shook, energy buzzing through her like she had stuck a fork in an electrical socket. There was no golden aura surrounding her now, but the circle still stood intact, firm and humming with its own power.
It was clear to her that the spell had worked. She saw Jewel and Laina coming to in their bodies. The pressure in the garden's atmosphere was gone. And she felt... at peace, still.
And maybe just a teensy weensy bit proud of herself.
Sarah pulled away from Jewel's and Laina's holds, bracing herself against the table surreptitiously. She felt more than heard Felicity's closing of the circle, her biological mother thanking each element that came to witness such a grand event.
When Felicity told the last element, Air, goodbye, Sarah couldn't keep her legs to hold her anymore. Or really, keep herself conscious.
She dropped, limp as a ragdoll.

Crevan had finished a floor taking the extra wood from it that wasn't long enough and chucked it down before moving down with it. He would break it tossing it in the fire, his body shuddering from the feel of power he felt from the main castle garden. He was not able to stay on his feet as he got on his hands and knees before his dead wife's shrine. The power seeming to break him. He pressed his forehead into the dirt as he closed his eyes.
Anya was blown away by the power she seemed to exude during this casting. She had to hold onto her seat next to the prince who seemed to be calm even as the bright light burned his eyes. He watched as the figures formed behind them. He thought he noticed someone familiar among them before he had to close his eyes. Feeling the energy of the spell, he let out a sigh as if it warmed him to his soul.
Damien felt as if he might lose his ability to see, his eyes closing from the brightness and the feel of the wind was like being in hurricane weather. His muscles flexed as he braced against it, he saw his wife in jewels body struggling to keep her hands tight on the others. She had tears in her eyes form before she closed the body she was in was going to blow apart. Her scream was cut as the power was overwhelming.
~*~
Julian had watched them still together and how Sarah smiled, though his concern when she let go of their hands and leaned on the table his face went stoic as he rushed to her picking her up as she seemed to faint. He would jostle her a little so her head would fall against his shoulder. " Felicity.." He said sounding concerned.
Liana felt like she had been hit by a battering ram, her eyes fluttered open. She wavered on her feet seeing her husband propping up Jewel. Seeing Damien scoop up the woman and bring her over to set her down by her mate before he would gently pick her up. She would lay her head into his shoulder clinging tightly to his broad shoulders. She wanted to see if Sarah was alright but she was tired from the stress of the transfer as she lost consciousness.
Crevan sat back once the power had eased. He felt a buzz of something on her shoulder, looking to the left and up he would see her beautiful face as the ghost of his wife would gently touch his face with her other hand and smile. His tears fell unbidden. She would lean down and kiss his forehead before disappearing. He had felt Sarah go unconscious and then he was left with no feelings and only fallen tears.

Standing gracefully among the treeline in the midst of dragons and their young, a lone ,tall muscled male readied himself to leave the western region that is controlled by the western regiment commander Marog The Mammoth. Zachaeus Alec Riverglide, had well groomed Dark Brown hair with light brown highlights, that gently hung over a strong, charming face. Glistening Auburn Cognac eyes, set charmingly within their sockets, watching protectively over the nursery of young dragons.
His skin looked as if it held the warmth of the sun. He stood at 7’1 clad in leather armor that was made from the hide of his fallen brethren, with a longsword sheathed at his right side made from the scales of one from the northern region. The blade has a broad, warped cross-guard, adding weight to the blade for a better weight balance, as well as offering hand protection during battle. The cross-guard has a lavish jaguar head on one side and a dragon on the other, a unique design for a unique weapon. A small pommel is decorated with a rare gem, that was gifted to him by his dragon mother.
There was something extraordinary about him, perhaps it's his fortunate past or perhaps it's simply his apparent gentleness with the young and old or his fierceness and bravery when fighting those who would foolishly go against his father without good reason.
Either way he was a conundrum to many, loyal friend to most and feared enemy to some.He had been making his normal rounds around the territory, spending an allotted time in each region to maintain a presence and good standing with those who lived there.
He could normally be found teaching some of the orphaned younglings how to hunt and fly and sometimes its simply more so to allow him to build a connection with the dragons that are governed by his father. He gave the young dragons a light bow as he began to walk away, he heard the cry of one of the males that he had been teaching to fly. He turned and looked down at him and gave a small fanged smile as he bent down and held his arms out for him. Zachaeus named him Gyzem. His parents were air and earth dragons though he was one among a few who had the ability to use electricity.
This made him stand out among the other younglings ,and not in a good way. He always fled to Zachaeus for protection and it was always hard to leave the little one to fend for himself. He was among many younglings who had lost their parents in the rebellion that started when the dragon King Ceirryphelth, Bringer of Death, decided to keep him and raise him as his own. They didnt agree with the decision and let it be known. It took almost 200 years for the rebellion to be quelled and so his training began among the dragons for him to live as one of them.
Gyzem jumped into his arms and gave a small squeak. “I can not continue to protect you from your comrades. You must learn to deal with them. You do not have to like them but you will need to respect them and vice versa so that you may know that you can trust them when the time arises. Grow stronger and prove to them that you are worthy of their respect.” Zachaeus said softly and scratched underneath Gyzem’s chin. He started to put the youngling down but the young dragon refused to be put down causing Zachaeus to sigh and look up at his mother. “It is fine my son, you may take him under your wing. I fear that they will only torture the poor thing more when you are not around. He will from now on be your responsibility.” Came the soft growling of his adoptive mother Queen Syrros, Lady of the Skies.
Zachaeus was unsure of bringing the youngling back with him though he figured it wouldnt hurt anything to have the company. Besides he was normally there alone anyway. “Well its a good thing that we went hunting earlier.” he said with a smile as he looked down at the medium dog sized youngling that was brown, golden and white, with the colors fading softly into each other. “Will you be ok to head home alone?” He asked her as she bent down to nudge him gently and he hugged her in return.
“I am fine. You sound just like your father. I have four escorts and he will meet me part of the way. So do not worry yourself.” she said with a soft chuckle as she stood to her full height and stretched her six wings and gave a smirk before she took off into the skies. The motion was so quick, one would have thought that she had teleported. Gyzem looked amazed at her ability and Zachaeus chuckled. “Well she isnt called Lady of the Skies for nothing , my friend. Come, we must be on our way as well.” He said and bent down to pick up the satchel of meat. He put it around Gyzem’s neck and took off in the air himself, effortlessly shifting into that of his dragon form.
He was in no way close to the size of his father or even some of his uncles but his size was nothing to scoff at. His massive body was covered in deep golden hued scales that reflected the dim light of the stars as his giant wings lifted them even higher into the sky well above the treeline and mountain tops. Along his back were rows upon rows of armor plated scales while his bottom was covered in radiant lighter golden scales. Four powerful limbs would carry his body and allow him to stand nobly with each limb sporting five digit keen claws that could rip through any obstacle that stood before him. His long wide barbed scythe like tail ,covered in the same armor plated scales, swayed as he flew easily through the skies to get home.
He’d blended in with the skies almost becoming invisible so as not to scare any who might happen to see a dragon casually flying overhead. He felt a strong magical disturbance in the atmosphere and for a moment wondered what it had been. After he had flown for some time, he could see the estate that he had called home for centuries. The scents that wafted up to him gave him pause as he slowed his descent near the sacred shrine of the lady of the grounds. It would seem as though Crevin had returned.
Zachaeus had shifted upon touching ground and set Gyzem down. He growled softly for Gyzem to remain hidden. It was clear that the youngling wanted to follow but he did as he was told. Zachaeus unsheathed his sword and silently.
His energy became one of excited determination as he began to go into predator mode and stilled himself as he began to silently stalk his mentor. It had been quite some time since he had last seen the man. He was in his nightmares growing up thanks to the training he subjected him to, though Zachaeus was grateful for it all because more than once that training had come in handy to save his life on many occasions. Throughout all that time he had been unable to best him but that would never stop him from trying whenever he saw him.
Grabbing the hilt of the sword in a firm grip as he grew closer, he took a step and made an upward swing intending to finally hit his mark.

Despite Felicity being part of the circle, she wasn't as affected as Sarah, Jewel, and Laina were by the spell. This time, she hadn't been knocked off her feet. However, she did feel what most everyone else felt: the overwhelming power that rightly could have made her repeat the first night. Spots of color danced in her vision afterward, goosebumps rose along her skin from head to toe, and certain strands of her hair floated like they were being affected by static electricity.
When she closed out the circle with the Air element was when she saw her daughter faint, as if the elements were the only things keeping Sarah from lasting that long. She should have been more prepared, she thought after Julian picked Sarah up into his arms. Sarah had fainted before. This time, she had given this spell 110 percent. Of course she would be in the same predicament tonight.
"I'm sure she will be fine, Your Grace," Felicity said, also understanding why Sarah had invited Julian to watch and found it prudent for his help prior to tonight. She straightened up, with hands on her hips, so that she could walk over to the Prince. With her short height of five-foot-three, she wasn't really tall enough to check her daughter's pulse or her breath. She looked paler, from what Felicity could see, but that could also be the moons' glow on her face. "She woke shortly after when she switched their bodies originally. That might be the case tonight. Then again, she gave it her everything to make sure tonight went according to plan. I'd give it a day or so."
She curtsied for him just before she stepped away, thanking him for "making sure Sarah didn't gain a concussion too" before she moved to Anya briefly.
"Hang back with me when we go back inside?" she asked the witch, giving her a friendly smile before she went to Jewel and Laina to check on them regardless of her answer. (She will be fine either way.)
Nathaniel stood by the Queen of Vampires, making sure that she herself did not fall until Damien came to set Jewel on the ground by him. Then, with a silent nod to him as thanks, picked Jewel up and held her close to his chest. She had hissed in discomfort, but didn't complain otherwise.
She had, too, lost consciousness; yet Nathaniel felt her wolf still move underneath her skin, waiting just barely to be let out. He looked up at Felicity coming to them, hands smoothing down her hair before they came to clasp together in front of her. "When they wake tomorrow," Felicity said, sounding every bit as a nurse giving a patient notes for at-home care, "they shouldn't feel any discomfort than the thirst and the need to shift. Tonight, they will get the rest that they need. Tomorrow they should feel good as new."
"Thank you, Felicity," Nathaniel said, nodding to her yet not smiling. As he felt Ludin come to his side, making sure with his own eyes that Jewel was all right, he looked at the King. "And thank you too, Your Majesty, for helping Jewel's grandfather keep her safe. I know that Jewel would be upset if she didn't get to make her goodbyes, though. Is it all right for us to stay one more night?"

He would wipe the stain on his face before looking over at his wife's shrine, he thought it was probably time to take it down. His brother constantly said that he was holding onto a past that had not become his future. That he eventually need to move on to heal the pain. This he had refused to see as his future without her. For thousands of years it had been that way, then his brother had brought Sarah home and he had taken his thoughts from her. Her quirkiness had been a distraction from the constant pain he felt.
He thought seeing his wife tonight had been her telling him to let go, he would shift a little as if reaching to take the shrine down. His ears would twitch as if hearing something or someone. While on his knees his leg would shift facing the opponent his arms reaching back to pull his swords from their sheath. He would block with his smaller sword coming up to attempt to head but him hard before shield bashing him with his body to make him stagger back.
If it was successful he would then throw his other sword to impale him against the rock. Asvi would come running out in her long tunic hearing the clashing of swords fear was sweet in the air. It distracted Crevan for a moment before he moved to hold his smaller sword as a shield in case the young man decided to surprise him. Asvi was speechless as to what had just happened. She had felt a presence in the kitchen and then a chill had gone up to her spine before hearing all this noise.
"Is this an intruder? " Crevan would chuckle shaking his head." No this is the one I told you about." She just looked at him slacked jawed not understanding why he would have attacked him if that was the case as she just stood there.
~*~
Julian would listen to Felicity being trusted by his Father and Mother he saw no reason not to. He would bend down a little when she approached. " I see." That was all he said after she said she should be fine. He would move away from everyone else heading for the tree of life. He had thought about taking her to his room or hers. Now he thought the tree of life could help as it had his mother. Walking through the garden to the center of everything. He would remove his shoes upon reaching the stone. The center was sheltered by crystal for a ceiling and the moss covering the ground below the branches of roots was soft as silk. He would gently lay her down among the flowers before sitting next to her going cross-legged.
Anya had opted to remain even though the prince had carried off Sarah, she wanted to hear what Felicity had to say. Her heart hammered hard thinking it was something awful she had not wanted to tell everyone else. It made her fidget with her clothing as she waited.
Damien slowly swayed with his wife in his arms as he watched her, he would only look up when he heard them." Thank you, Felicity." Was all he said for now to her. The man holding jewel drew his attention after he had peaked at his wife again for a moment." You are welcome as long as it is she needs to recover and then some. Jewel is honored here for now and forever for saving my wife." He said softly, he knew Sarah had done the spell but Jewel had endured his wife's body for the amount of time she had. "Pick any room in the castle and it is yours for however long you remain." He said before walking off with his wife in hand.

Zachaeus merely gave a smile that held no warmth as he stared Crevan in the face, as the man turned on him with his own blades. He’d managed to dodge the headbutt that came at him though in doing so left himself open without a counter to the shield bash that had him taking a stumbling back to maintain his feet. He’d only a moment to block the old man’s next strike,so he brought his blade up to parry the attack but as it turned out he was a split second too slow in his counter strike.
Zachaeus found himself impaled against the stone. The scent of his blood filled the air and stained the stone a crimson hue. Zachaeus growled deeply and the earth rolled for just a moment before he tried to take advantage of the brief distraction the female caused. He pulled a dagger from its sheath at his back and with a flick of his wrist flung it straight at Crevan. The female held his attention for a split second though not enough for him to take his attention from Crevan. No sooner had the other left his hand did he have the second in his grip and following after its twin.
Zachaeus sighed and lazily looked at Crevan as he spoke to the female. “Well it is good to see that the time away hasnt dulled your senses nor your skill.”
He huffed and gave Crevin a pointed stare. “Do you mind?” he said and sheathed his sword as he crossed his arms over his chest and waited for the sword to be removed. It hurt but thanks to Crevan, he was able to build up a tolerance to quite a few things. He was used to pain of this sort so it was more of an annoyance than anything.
Zachaeus felt the shift in the air before he even heard the rustle of grass as Gyzem came angrily charging towards Crevan. The air around him charged as electricity dance along its body. He stood on his hind legs, claws and wings outstretched to make himself seem bigger as he growled trying to intimidate Crevan attempting to protect Zachaeus.
With a deep guttural growl, Zachaeus flicked his wrist and the lightning that surrounded the young dragon then constricting his movement as if he was reprimanding him , which he was. “Be calm, Gyzem.” The young dragon wasnt too happy about his friend being hurt but he obeyed, though he didnt take his eyes from Crevan or the woman.
Turning back to Crevan and taking full notice of the woman, Zachaeus lifted a brow as he looked from her to Crevan. “Who is she and why is she here?” he asked. He wasnt used to strangers coming to his home and definitely wasnt a fan of unexpected guests.

Felicity curtsied to her king and Nathaniel, then turned to the table to gather up the candles, snuffer, and matches. She had seen that Anya stayed behind; for that, she was glad. She waved for Anya to come closer before she bent down to pick up the basket that carried all of the tools to the garden.
The mother knew, despite the fact that she had been intoxicated, that Sarah wasn’t fully forthcoming with the events that had happened two weeks ago. As much as she would have liked to hear the details, she knew she wasn’t going to be able to get them from Sarah.
She hadn’t seen Julian leave with Damien and Nathaniel and Ludin, so she had guessed that he had left - further into the garden - as soon as Felicity was finished talking with him. She refused to make a big fuss of it until she had all of her facts straight. Her voice was pitched low, so that she could make sure that her words weren’t overheard. “Has something happened between the General and Sarah?” she asked her daughter’s best friend, concern etching her forehead with deep lines. “I haven’t seen hide nor hair of him since we got back. I was sure that he would be here. And I’ve noticed Sarah and the Prince are a lot closer.”
Cardinal dropped beside Felicity from his perch, causing the witch to jump nearly out of her skin as her old friend tsked. “Nosy nosy,” he quipped, moving to help her gather her tools and put them in the basket. He looked to Anya, a knowing look in his eye. “Don’t tell if you don’t feel comfortable. Felly here is just worried for Sarie-Bear.”

Crevan was made aware of his daggers by the roll in the earth. He opted to not move to dodge them as the witch looked on. She realized it was a greeting/practice run. He would pull them from his skin letting them hit the ground as they clanged together. "Impressive Zachaeus. I know that you could have swallowed me whole if you had preferred. I am glad to see that you still even now keep up with your training. " He had not seen the man in a while. That was on Crevan's part. He had refused to return for several reasons, not all having to do with the outbreak of infection.
Though in which had nothing to do with Zachaeus. Crevan had seen him as a son during their years together in the boy's training. He had found it a fond memory in his past, though he was sure that Zachaeus might have found it more torturous. Crevan chuckled at how impatient Zachaeus was to be released from the stone. He debated on letting him stew up there. He reached up to remove the sword when he felt the electrical charge in the air.
Quickly Crevan would remove his sword from Zachaeus without warning thinking he was going to be struck by lightning from the boy's odd powers of the elements which he had witnessed by the boy's mother. But upon seeing the baby dragon made him relax, he would then take a cloth from the witch Asvi and clean his blade. It took him a matter of seconds to shine the blade to its full glory and sheath it. He watched Zachaeus eye the witch the way he did. Which in turn made him sigh a little before gently scratching his chin.
"Well, I figured you could use the company or at least someone to tend the place while you're not here out among your brethren. I have also been curious about how you have survived so far in the eating department. " His eye would flick to the dog-sized baby dragon wondering how she might fair with it around. Asvi would make a face of annoyance." I thought you said I was to be his Tutor for Wards. Not a food source. Not a housemaid. " Crevan chuckled lightly looking at her.
"You are to be what he needs. Whether that be a housemaid a feed bag. " He would make a gesture towards himself. "A teacher or a companion to talk to other than his secondary family. " He would look to Zachaeus." I mean if you prefer I take her away. I can. "So he would keep her here as long as he was. If Zachaeus stated he wanted her gone he would tell him he would take her when he left. Just so he could see if the boy would change his mind. With Zachaeus, it was a trial and error. He had always been a surprise to Crevan.

Anya looked up from picking at her shirt fuzz as Felicity picked up the items used in the spell preparation and activation. She would stand up walking over to Felicity who spoke low to her, which made Anya lean in. Though she was listening to Felicity she couldn't help but shriek when Cardinal dropped down From the branch he had been in. It took her a moment for her heart to slow its drumming. She had forgotten about him being present. She did not know if she could tell what she wanted to hear. Taking a deep breath a few times to calm her nerves she would explain.
"That is pretty much what happened." She said softly from her recollection of what happened from her point of view, she would add the context of why certain things were frowned upon among the vampires. She did not know if she had just got her friend in trouble or either of the male counterparts involved but she wanted to sit down. She was feeling a bit sick to the stomach after relaying it all.

Zachaeus huffed and waved away Crevan’s words, though taking them to heart all the same, knowing the compliment wasnt freely given but rightfully earned. Pride swelled within him though outwardly he showed only refined boredom.“I could have, though I'm sure you wouldn't have tasted that well and would try to kill me from the inside out.” he said offhandedly. “Besides, how could I hope to land a blow against you if I am not at my best? Not to mention that isnt an honorable way to face an opponent of your ranking and skill.”
Zachaeus realized the undeniable flattery he was giving the man and felt embarrassed anger begin to stir at the thought. He had the utmost respect for Crevan because he had raised, taught and trained him, but as a result of that and his ordeal with the dragons and being raised with them he had learned very early on not to let your guard down for even a moment. It was all an enemy needed to cause unrepairable damage and even death. He respected both of his fathers for that lesson.
Zacchaeus hissed and growled when the sword was snatched from his body. He grunted and huffed, causing two puffs of smoke to come from his nose. He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled as his wound began to heal the instant the sword was removed. He waved his hand and changed from armor to the fine simple threaded clothing of a buttoned shirt and brown pants that he’d crafted from the fine hairs of the Magistrate's mate. It was light and soft as silk yet strong as steel. The shoes on his feet were dragon leather and were very comfortable as well.
“Gyzem, please collect my daggers.” He asked the young dragon and chuffed to him before he made a motion with his hand that was reminiscent of rubbing the dragon along its back and the lightning that held him still, dissipated. After glaring at the woman and Craven once more, Gyzem lifted his head and proudly pranced over to collect Zachaeus’s daggers. He stood before Zachaeus expectantly. “Thank you, brother. You are brave indeed and will make a fine warrior but you need more training if you want to show your worth to others.” He stated and took the daggers from him and placed them in the sheathes at his back, beneath his shirt.
The young dragon seemed a bit disappointed. Zachaeus knelt down and placed his head on Gyzem’s. “I look forward to the day we can do battle together little brother. Do not keep me waiting for long.” A small arc of lightning curved between Zachaeus’s hand and Gyzem’s neck as he held it inches from Gyzems flesh. That seemed to perk him up a bit. Zachaeus took the meat from around Gyzems neck and looked to the woman, eyeing her critically it has been nearly two millennia since he had been around a humanoid female.
He wasnt sure what to make of her. She seemed...small. Was she really capable of being any sort of help to him. Her scent caused an unfamiliar reaction within him that he brushed off not knowing what it was and figuring it was simply the result of an unwanted stranger in his territory.
He stood to his full height and huffed. It would seem as though he were being quite a child about her presence, despite him being five thousand years old. Though to be fair, he was barely seen as anything more than an adolescent by his dragon kin. The humans that lived peacefully within their territories didnt even live that long. Growing up was definitely an identity crisis because he was unique and with none of his knowing being like him.
At Crevan’s words, he gave a lazy shrug. I feed on animal blood. I wasnt permitted to go near the humans in our territories. And the taste of the others were so disgusting it had me resting for a few years.” He said with a shudder at the memory of the experience. The animal blood had been the better option and he’d simply allow the younglings to practice their skills on the weakened animals, allowing them the chance to make a kill.
He narrowed his eyes at the female when she took offense to being a teacher to him. It was a great honor to have one pass on their teachings to another. It was a highly respected position. It allowed the old ways to continue to thrive instead of die out, or so his draconic teachings went. He couldnt help the burning anger that her protests stirred. He growled dangerously deep as his auburn cognac eyes began to turn to reptilian slits. The air around him charged and the night sky darkened. Gyzem made a noise that was mixed between a squeak and a croak, calling out to Zachaeus because he was afraid.
Instinctively Zachaeus turned his attention to Gyzem to make sure he was ok. The young dragon was fine as soon as Zachaeus calmed down and pressed himself against his leg as he stood between him and the other two. Roughly, Zachaeus ran his hands through his hair and slung his hand causing black lightning to strike the earth off in the distance.
Zachaeus glared at the woman. He didnt understand why she even angered him so much or why it was even that intense. He took a deep breath and thought about what had been said and realized that she was not refusing to teach but refusing to feed him instead. Well that thought didnt help. She wasnt even his female and he was feeling rejected by her. “If you do not wish to be here you can leave.” He said to her with a growl and bared his fangs at her but that only served to open his nostrils wider for him to take in her scent.
“Do what you want with that disrespectful female. It matters none to me. Your intentions are appreciated.” He huffed and turned to walk off. He loved to learn and expand his knowledge and skills but he refused to beg anyone to teach him. He would also never beg for her blood, though admittedly he was now curious as to how her blood tasted. For a moment he wondered if Crevan was testing him again. He’d thought about simply agreeing just to force her to be there but there was no point in them both being unhappy.
Not to mention the house could use some keeping. He did what he could; though when he was away, it was difficult to continue to do so. He looked to the shrine that Crevan had in place for his wife. He remembered coming out here , calling himself hiding from Crevan and telling on him, when he was younger. He always felt like she was listening to him and kept him company when Crevan would leave. Despite his younger years with Crevan being constant near-death experiences, his home was a special and sacred place to him. You could even say that it was his lair. He didnt like strangers for two main reasons;one, they disrupted the sanctity of this place and two, he didnt want them stealing any of the treasures that he’d gathered over the centuries.
Frustrated with his thoughts, he sighed and looked up at the sky to see the stormy clouds lazily dispersed. He for whatever reason didnt like the thought of her leaving but he kept his tongue. He would not keep her.
“How long are you going to be here for this time?” Zachaeus asked, turning slightly to look at Crevan. He wouldnt ask why he was there, this was just as much , if not more of Crevan’s home as it was his. Doesnt mean he didnt want to know, he just wouldnt ask.

"You hypocritical beast," Felicity admonished to her friend of close to 40 years, eyes wide in mock anger. "You're one of the nosiest beings I know." Cardinal gave her a conspiratorial wink, before he blinked out of existence.
She shook her head, then turned to Anya to give her full attention. "Hmm," she said at first, then when Anya explained further some of the "do's and don't's" of the vampire culture, she widened her eyes slightly in understanding. "I see," the witch murmured as if pulling her own conclusions together.
Felicity would lie in her bed later that night, thoughts a-whirring. She wondered whether if stealing Sarah away from Oberon was a good idea. She missed out many moments of Sarah's life, yes. And Foster would have been still alive to help raise her. Her heart would ache with the loss of both. But there was something else that made her ponder what could never be.
Anya's context clues had made her realize that she really ... didn't know her benefactors at all. At least with the fae, she would have known how to keep Sarah safe. With the vampires, she was completely in the dark (which was her own fault - how long had she been living with them?). Sarah was dealing with something that she couldn't fix - or at least help alleviate.
Besides the whole ... offering blood to someone that wasn't their master, Felicity worried about Julian's and Sarah's attraction to each other. What would that mean for Sarah's being Scion for the General? Felicity knew that there was something there between her and Crevan (at least, she thinks she knows). Not to mention, if Sarah and Julian's attraction grew into something more, leading to a marriage and coronation, that would mean Sarah would have to sit on that gods-awful throne.
Felicity would shudder just thinking about it.
But at that current moment in time, she would cluck her tongue. "I didn't mean to upset you, Anya. Thank you for telling me, though. Go on back inside. I'll see you in the morning."
***
Cardinal did not try to conceal himself in any way when he arrived to the Tree of Life.
When he walked into the center of the garden, he took in the splendid atmosphere. The crystal ceiling, the tree. For the briefest of moments, he stood in awe, which was something a fae of his caliber did not do often. Hardly anything could stop him in his tracks. This did, giving him a sense of peace and stillness that he didn't know he needed.
Then he quickly recovered before Julian could notice (though with Sarah there he probably wouldn't look in the puck's direction anyway), walking forward with the gumption he always had. "Hello, Princey."
He stopped where he had seen Julian's boots just before the stone and started taking off his own. He gave a grin full of jagged teeth, looking from him to Sarah, who had curled on her side, facing the tree.
He had to admit, it was beautiful in its ethereal way. The symbols he saw etched into the trunk glowed with a silvery-blue hue, along with other sections that seemed to be pulsing. The plants around the roots had to have some sort of medicinal properties, he thought.
He might be grinning in an impish way, but his body language said that he was respectful as he went to sit down beside the Prince. For a good while, he was still, crossed-legged with his hands on his knees palm-up. His grin relaxed, he closed his eyes. Then he opened them and spoke.
"So what was it about her?" he asked, stretching his legs out and leaning back, feet crossed at the ankles. "What makes her so special to you?"

Asvi seemed pleased to see the banter between what seemed like a duo of father and son. She had seen what she thought was a strong man taught by an equally stronger man. Though she thought his embarrassment was miss-placed men were just that men, no matter the species or race. Crevan watched the small woman for a moment as she watched the young man. " I am flattered." He said with a small chuckle to Zachaeus comments.
The two of them watched Zachaeus with the baby dragon and how he was tender with him in his words. Asvi could not help but smile, Crevan was glad that they had not eaten the boy when he had finally sent him off to them. Trust for Crevan had been an issue since childhood. When Zachaeus spoke of his feeding habits he would frown a little. "Yes, for me It would do in a pinch. But animal blood for some reason is like when a human goes on a diet. Not all nutrients are the best for you and can make your body weak. " He was glad that it had not affected Zachaeus if much at all.
Crevan would let out a loud bark of laughter when he had said he could do whatever he pleased with the female. " I will keep that in mind. " Asvi looked to Crevan her facial expression even less than pleased." You can kindly remain distant. " This almost made Crevan howl with laughter at her statement he would shake his head. "Make yourself useful and bring some tea for me Zachaeus. " He said pulling up a small stool not far from the fire. " I plan on being here for some time until I repair the castle to its former glory." He looked to the sketch then back to Zachaeus before sitting on the stool. " I have let it go far too long." He had at one point fixed a few places around the castle so that Zachaeus had somewhere to store things and among other things.
Asvi had disappeared so he had assumed she went to do as he had bid. She had left to go to the kitchen but she was debating throwing the hot water on him for ordering her around. Asvi was not one to just do as ordered, she had not done so with her fellow witches who thought they were better than her. And she was not going to with a bunch of vampires. It was all too quick how she had forgotten the incident on the island. How much it had scared her. She would however set the water to boil she had gathered from a pump in the kitchen. The water was crystal clear, something she had never witnessed. Not without boiling it first or running it through a type of filter system of charcoal and other things.
Crevan would stretch letting out a yawn. " Tell me Zachaeus has anything come to you in the years that I have been absent. " He was referring to perhaps some primal instinct his people might have. He had tried to gather as much information as to when he was a babe from his mother. He looked tired in the eyes even though the rest of him was rock solid in its posture.
Aranel lingered as she put her hand on Zachaeus, she felt the restless feeling that would not let her leave after a spell that involved Sarah. It might be a while before she left and if she was going to remain she would give comfort to the large man that had once been so little in her garden. She had enjoyed the time his 'praying' at her shrine had brought her back to witness his upbringing. It was a son she would never have biologically. She spoke with no one to hear." I think he needs your help Zachaeus. He won't ask for it though." She had spoken to the boy or Crevan. But the words never seemed to breakthrough.
~*~
Anya nodded as she stood up," Yes Ma'am." She whispered looking back at Felicity briefly before leaving out of sight. She made her way to the throne room stopping to see Adisa on the ground shaking like a scared child. She would force herself not to look at her as she was shunned currently and known to none until her Master either released her from it, killed her, or exiled her. She would pass through the court into the back room where the queen was asleep in her bed and the King sat in a chair watching her. Anya would climb into his lap and lay her head on his chest. She said nothing to him as he instinctively and gently played with her hair. His stare was far off as if he was debating shattering the marble throne just to keep her safe. He knew if the mainland sailed out here to descend upon the island as one army they would dwindle. Or at least that was his fear.
"Is our family well?" He asked about Felicity and the like." I think she fears the line." Damien would chuckle lightly." We are a creature that no one understands." Anya would look up at him as if questioning him. He would look at her with a smile." Even you truly do not understand." She pursed her lips a little then snuggled into his chest again." She will be fine Master. I know it." She whispered before falling asleep against him after a big yawn. He would sigh." I hope so." He was going to speak with Julian soon about him having to take over that it was his mother's Turn to rest.
~*~
Julian had felt him before he reached a certain point in the garden, his connection to the soil and the tree among other things in this land had him 'seeing' or feeling things faster than other's, well except his mother. The slow death of her soul made it hard now for her to feel any movement on the soil. Though now he supposed she might once again be able to.
"Hello, imp."
Julian kept his eyes on Sarah listening to the puck move about behind him then come to rest beside him. When he asked the question Julian had no answer to give. One could not signify a true answer to this meaning, they could say words about their qualities that one would like to have in a personal match. Or explain that it was merely a chemical reaction to the body's endorphins.
" It is something you can not describe Cardinal." He said staring at her sleeping body. "Any more than I or you can see oxygen or how it works." He would lean back letting his feet stretch out as well looking up at the tree." And me trying to put in words for you to feel better about how she is mine now. Will sully that connection I have. "
He owed no one an explanation at how his feelings came about, "I will say this." His royal eyes shimmered brighter among the flecks of platinum. " I will rend any that stand between me and her. Even Crevan. Even if that might break her. " He would turn to look at Cardinal his eyes flecks seemed to pulse along with the tree." My love reaches into a primal part of me that can not be controlled by anyone save for me."
He planned on marking Sarah when he felt it was the right time to break her bond with Crevan again. If the issue had to be forced. The way he spoke said he was not as young as he looked. He would smile then and turn his attention back to her sleeping body." Fear not she is my equal even though it seems I speak of her as property. " He would protect her from anyone it was the need in him for it. He however would not treat her like a teacup and put her on a shelf to be looked at and never used.

Helliana would wake up in front of a fireplace rolling hot on a bunch of furs her clothes missing and covered by one of said first. She sat up pulling up thing covering her, her blurry vision took in the room where several witches sat watching her. SHe would see Fae sitting cross-legged beside her as if shielding her from the others.
"Wha...what happen..." Her features went from scared to angry. She remembered before she had been fighting with her husband and now she was in the estate. " Bastard!" A hiss came from her, Fae would shift slightly." I am sorry I did not get there in time." Helliana would look under the covering before looking to Fae." Bring me some clothes." She snapped before her face softened." ...please" She whispered, Fae would snap her fingers and one of the women would dart off to do as Helliana had bid Fae.
Returning with a dress which in turn made Helliana turn her face to look at the fire. Fae opened her mouth to retort that wasn't what was needed. Helliana would speak." It is fine." She would stand in her naked glory of tribal tattoos that covered every section of her body. Taking the garment before putting it on she would sigh looking at the healing bruises on her skin they seemed slow," Fae I need you to bring me something to feed on." Fae would slit her wrist pouring it into a glass.
Helena's eyes went bright red like a glowing ruby, the swirls of blood in such a gem. She was about to tell her to be careful but the glass was set into her hand before the witch healed herself by breaking a tab of wood with the spell in it. " I am always at your service even if you are not my Master. " Helliana would drink from the glass quickly, she preferred live vein but she was pretty sure he had made it so she could not leave the house.
And this was not breaking the rules officially anyway. Helliana would slowly sink to the furs again laying on her floor looking into the fire with a sad look as her eyes returned to normal. Fae would shift a little." I do not see why you don't take on a witch for this need." Helliana would turn to look at her for a moment." Because I have not yet found one worth binding to me Fae." She stated as if it was obvious.
