(( Decoii )) It was a ugly night, most winter nights usually were though. It snowed heavily, the wind angry and pelting Armin’s exposed face and body with its snow bullets. The man behind him grunted but made no other remarks. David had always been the quiet type, which worked well for Armin. He wasn’t the talkative type that much either. Usually. They were already out of Pack Territory, the safety and familiar surroundings no more. Not that the Deadlands were a stranger to Armin, no he had spent more time than he liked within these lands which only made him appreciate the place he now called home. New Dawn was that place, had been since they took him in at eleven years old, a orphan, a child who was a deadman walking alone in the rogue invested lands and most likely would have died a few weeks after had he not been taken in. Or worse, become someone he despised so much he wouldn’t have the guts to look at himself in the mirror. But instead, Armin had been saved. He was given food and water, shelter and a home. They taught him to be strong, to fight and protect, to be smart and cunning. To take care of his own skin. He always thought New Dawn was impregnable, a strong Pack that took care of its own and could handle all the dangers surrounding it. But he had been young, even as Armin grew up, he still held the Pack on a pedestal, thinking no one could touch them. It was only in the past recent years that he saw the Pack for what it really was, fundamentally strong yes, but struggling as well. They tried their best but still came upon short, still feeling the losses of some empty seats. The Pack was weakening while the Deadlands and the other Packs grew more deadlier. It was cause for concern. Armin wanted to protect this Pack, his home, to repay his debt to them, to give back anything he could, help in any way. That was the kind of man he was, and he fought everyday to give what he was given. Even now, every step forward he took, was for the Pack he left behind. He packed light, a bit of food, his weapons, which consisted of three knives, two short, one long, a gun, extra ammo, and a lone blade strapped to his back. He would have had a bit more supplies but he had wanted to get to the check-point sooner rather than later. It would take him, in this weather, anywhere from two to four hours. If he rushed, possibly sooner, but Armin didn’t need to rush. He was just collecting information from the scout teams, information that was considered too valuable to be spoken through the comms. And yet? This nagging feeling drummed in Armin’s mind and he found himself picking up the pace.

"I managed to escape." She had told her two surviving comrades.
They believed her without hesitation and why wouldn't they? She didn't even need to look in a mirror to know that she must have looked like absolute shit. weak. But her mind was numb, thoughts and concern too thick to decipher as Marco and Jean pulled her away from the bloodied snow and hurried towards an unknown location. They had been talking to her, asking questions about her injuries and their friend, Gina, who had gone missing around the same time as she did. Their location was compromised or so that was her assumption when they headed to an unknown location. Somewhere away from the enemy that they had been trying to infuriate for the past four months.
They drove to a motel that she didn't recognize, wrapped her up in Marco's jacket and when they made sure it was safe, they maneuvered her into a small room and straight into the bathtub. Her head was pounding but the two males wouldn't stop fussing and talking as they tried figuring out her wounds. She was frustrated at the look of concern she was receiving. The last thing she remembered was Marco turning on the water to an almost unbearable temperature and then everything went dark.
"It's been five years, hasn't it?" he spat out in anger as his fist cocked back and launched forward making contact with her nose. "You've done absolute shit, said absolute shit, is it safe to assume that you've taken a liking to those devils that you've previously sworn you'd be taking down!?"
Annie didn't have time to reply as she took blow after blow. But she refused to cry out and give them the reaction they are so desperately trying to pry out of her. The pain was bearable even as they broke her ribs and it wasn't until she could hear Gina crying out to them begging them to stop that she finally started feeling something.
Anger.
"What are they talking about Annie?" Gina asked her after they left her beaten on the cement floor. The brunette didn't move towards Annie, fear and dread filling the air with every breath that she took and all Annie could do was lay in silence. "Please.... Just say they're lying... Please... Just say anything!!" Gina begged as she sobbed in a corner.
But Annie didn't say anything. What could she even say? Gina's future was sealed the moment those men opened their mouths and starting spewing out bullshit. She couldn't even tell the girl that she was sorry- because she wasn't. They had been right after all- the pack belonged to a horde of devils and she should have been out doing her job and not bringing these filthy pack dogs to their doorsteps. When they came back, they laughed at the sight of Gina and didn't hesitate to spill the secrets about who Annie was before dragging Gina over said girl and slicing her throat open. Blood rushed out of Gina and unto Annie, coving her blond hair and her beaten face and body. They dragged Gina's corpse all over Annie, laughing when Annie tried fighting back and delivering another wave of beating.
"This is what we will do with your father if you bring this bullshit back to our doors. Magath is giving you until summer to figure it out. Now tell us, who else are you here with and how much do they know?"
Annie told them everything she knew. That the New Dawn pack knew about the trafficking and had suspicions that the group had something to do with at least seven missing distant pack members. She told them that she knew the man they were looking forward to finding had nothing to do with Angus but rather the dead Alpha female. She knew she was taking too long but she was rising through the ranks to get them all the information they could ever need to bring down New Dawn. Then, she told them the names of the other two serving members of the pack that came with her, Marco and Jean, before she was kicked out into the cold night with a new set of instructions to follow.
"I managed to escape." Annie told her comrades when she came too, frowning as she found it hard to move from the dirty bed that she currently found herself laying on.
"Gina is dead isn't she?" Jean whispered as if too scared to say it out loud.
At Annie's silence, the male got up from the chair he previously sat on and punched the wall nearest to him in anger. "This is bullshit! This is all my fault! I should have never allowed you two to break off from the group! I shouldn't have-"
Marco tried to calm his angered friend, tears in his eyes as he tried to swallow down the thought of Gina dying. "We can leave now. The information we have is more than enough to bring this place crumbling down." he turned to Annie and rushed to the side of her bed, pulling out a wrinkled piece of paper from his back pocket. "We know who did this to you now Annie, and we'll be able to come back with reinforcement and burn this place and those pieces of shits to the ground...." He hesitated before lowering his gaze to the piece of paper in his hands, "We also... W-We found out something while you guys were gone... There are people in New Dawn.. three people that work for these scums. I don't know who these names belong too but... But they'll figure it out and we will manage to get revenge for what they did to you and Gina."
Annie managed to find the strength to sit up from her bed as he spoke and in a quick movement she snatched the paper away from Marco and opened it, reading it in a quick panic. As she read, she could feel the panic starting to bubble in her stomach. Not only was there information that could bring very powerful people down, but information on them. "Where did you get this?" She bit out coldly.
Marco and Jean turned to her in confusion, silence filling the room before Jean decided to speak first, "Does it matter? We need to get back to the pack right now!"
Annie couldn't find the energy to reply. Instead she glared down at one single line that made her blood freeze in her veins. A. Leonhart. her goddamn name.
((Look i know i fucked this up and it's confusing but give me a chance, i love you)

Armin and David made a pit-stop at the Outsiders stables and saddled two horses, Armin rode a white beauty, while David rode a spotted mare, both were strong and familiar with the winter weather and would fare well during the trip. Armin checked them out and they were back on the roads. The wind engulf them in a little personal storm, Armins' horse Leila snorted and trotted forward, easing through the trees in the dark with almost no help from Armin.
Armin liked horses better than cars or bikes, there was something comforting about feeling their beating heart underneath him. With knowing that they would keep on going and not breakdown for unknown reasons. He had been in enough car accidents and decided that the horse would do. David would have preferred a truck but Armin had refused. He'd rather walk. There were times when he'd have to suck it up but tonight wasn't one of those days thank the lords.
They made good time and no one fucked with them when Marco called to update them. He told them about the change in location, rather than meeting at the trafficking operation, they were held up at a motel that was considerably closer to them. At least cutting the time by half an hour. Then Marco told them why they had to move and Armin clenched his jaw while David asked about Gina. Gina had been close with them all and David had secretly liked her.
"We have reasons to believe she's dead. Annie's stable for now but she took a beating, was covered in blood, most of it not her own but still looks pretty bad. She's sleeping it offf now, we patched her up as best we could with our med kits but she'll have to visit the Infirmary. We're in room eleven, eta?" Marco asked through the comms in both David's and Armin's ears.
"Gina can't be dead man. We should go and check for ourselves-"
"No. It's compromised, we don't have the manpower for a rescue team. Marco we should be there in half an hour to forty five minutes. Keep Annie alive, she knows what happened in there, I want answers. What about the information?"
"It's safe, I'll tell you everything when you get here. Don't want to chance someone eavesdropping."
"Understood. We'll be there soon, stay safe till then. Call if something else goes wrong."
"Got it." the line cut and Marco's voice was no more, Armin glanced back at David, his eyes were slowly changing to gold. Armin could smell his anger and hurt and didn't blame him, even he was getting angry. How had they managed to fuck it up this bad. They should have gotten out of there at the first signs of danger and separating? The idiots.
Annie came to mind and Armin hoped she wasn't in such a bad state. They had said she was stable so she'd live, but Armin could only guess just how close she came to dying like Gina did. But she managed to escape somehow, he wanted to know how, wanted to check her injuries and haul her ass to the infirmary where the real doctors waited. Not that she'd go willingly, he sighed under his breath, galloping now, David hot on his heels, thinking of how hard headed the woman was.
Least she was alive, the sarcastic voice of his wolf yawn, not too bothered over the news. His wolf since the beginning had always watched Annie, remaining distant while Armin had always found himself wanting to be closer.
While Armin rode towards the motel, he kept going over the information he already knew, and with each step he took, that nagging feeling turned to dread and Armin just knew that the night and its horrors wasn't over yet.

((Sorry))
Jean and Marco must have been the most stupidest people on the planet. Well, they weren't. But to Annie the moment they told her that they'd called for backup she couldn't help but feel anger rising inside of her. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. What was she supposed to do now? She didn't know how long she had been asleep for but she sure as hell knew that she didn't have all the time in the world to figure out what would be best from here on out. She definitely couldn't go back to the guys from Marley to tell them of the news and she couldn't let New Dawn get their hands on this letter full of encrypted names and locations.
So without much thinking, she put her pains aside and did what she needed to do- she killed both Jean and Marco. Jean's death came first, a quick shot to the head. Luckily the silencer kept the gunshot from ringing loudly in the small motel room. However, it was enough to make Marco come running back into the room from his spot outside. She missed the shot on Marco. Getting him in the neck and finding herself having to choke the life out of him as he struggled against her. She made a point not to think about who's blood was currently coating her beaten hands as she ended his life.
Huffing in exertion, she stumbled to the bathroom and lifted the lid of the toilet. Annie Cussed internally at her trembling hands as she flushed the pieces of paper away. Only then did she allow herself to fall to the floor and take a breath of air that stabbed her broken ribs. Annie knew her hip was fucked, her ribs broken, and she could barely open her left eye from the swelling of the blow she'd received on it. But she felt much better once the note was flushed.
Icy blue eyes gazed at the red stain of blood on the toilet handle, then slowly at her bloodied hands. Marco's blood still hot and tacky against her skin. Why had she felt relived? She was nowhere near possibly solving the situation that she was in. But she knew that getting rid of the letter was the best she can do.

Armin reached the motel in just over thirty minutes and slowed Leila's gallop to a trot, he took in the shabby building trying to sense any immediate threats. None were visible, he urged Leila in the direction of room eleven, it was far out towards the right end, near the surrounding trees.
"Blood." David announced at his side and Armin nodded, knowing that the scent was coming from the room ahead of them. From what he could tell outside look normal, no tracks from the forest just from the car that sat lonesome in this section of the motel.
Armin got out of the saddle, letting Leila loose, she would roam around but all of the Pack and Outsider's horses were trained to stay close and come when called. Armin gave the horse a soft caress on her neck before moving for the motel room. He would have liked David to stay outside because he wasn't sure if there were no threats in the surrounding woods but he knew the man wouldn't allow such a remark.
Had they been greeted by either Jean or Marco, it would have been okay. Instead it was quiet and the stench of blood was fresh. Even familiar. Armin's feeling of dread had just caught up with reality, he wasted no more time and found himself opening the door, which wasn't even closed fully.
He saw the bodies on the floor, blood pooled out around Marco and Armin could tell that he had a nasty neck wound. It sprayed the room around him, he glanced at Jean's still body and followed the only remaining heartbeat.
"Annie." He said lowly but loudly, waiting for her eyes to meet his. She was covered in blood again and Armin didn't need a wolf's nose to know it was the boys.
"What the fuck! She fucking killed them!" David growled from his spot by Marco, sniffing the air around him. "Her fucking scent is all over Marco, his windpipe is broken, she fucking strangled him. Did you kill Gina too?" David got up, he was taller than Armin by a few inches and bigger too, the muscle.
"Move." He barked at Armin, his eyes wolf gold, his control slipping.
"No." Armin stayed where he was, filling the front of the bathroom door.
"Armin move or ill make you move."
"Oh yeah? Calm down, things might not be what it seems like."
"Fine. Then tie her up and let's take her to the dungeons. First Gina. Now this? And she's the only one that survived? It's suspicious and even you have to admit that Armin. This isn't right."
"She's our Packmate, and its innocent until proven guilty David. Go look for evidence and pack up the bodies. We're leaving ASAP." Armin didn't take his eyes off of Annie and he wondered if she had passed out.
She had to have been tired after killing them. There was no denying it, her scent all over them and their blood on her. The main question was why she did it. She got lucky with Jean but with Marco she had struggled. He could smell her blood and knew she had broken bones. Her face was beaten, her eyes swollen and puffy. She was a mess to say the least and made herself one too.
"Annie." Armin called to her once more and then kicked her leg gently, trying to jostle her awake if she did indeed pass out. She didn't like to be touched, he remembered.

Annie had indeed dozed off. She hadn't meant too and found herself being startled awake by a soft kick to her side that send a wave of fire up and down her very being. She could hear David losing his shit and even though she was struggling to keep her eyes open, she found herself letting out a weak chuckle at the very situation she found herself in. Annie knew that someone was coming but these two so happened to not be who she had in mind. David, she wasn't so surprised by, she saw him around every once in a while. However, Armin Arlert was a whole different situation in and of itself.
He was smart, she knew this from all the years of growing up together. He was a short weak boy last time she saw him, frightened of everything, unable to defend himself in battle. But he had the mental capacity to survive some how. What he lacked in fighting power he definitely made up with in smarts and when she had last seen him he was still being teased about his lack of growth. Slowly, Annie looked up at him with a blank stare, hiding her surprise very well.
He's grown.
She felt her stomach do a flip and plainly blamed it on the situation at hand and not at the fact that she was glancing into his ocean blue eyes. He was taller now, thicker than the skinny little boy she remembered him being. "Arlert." She said lowly, breaking her stare only when she attempted to hold on the toilet and use it to lift herself to the edge of the bathtub. Her breaths harsh in her lungs and for a second she wondered if she'd pass out again if she even tried to continue to move.
She chucked at the blinding pain that made her vision waver, and found herself struggling to sit still on the small edge of the tub that dug uncomfortably under her ass and bad hip.
But she seemed over all controlled.
"David..." She called out lowly, her voice rough and cracking. "Come at me you stupid dog."

So she had passed out, Armin wondered just how injured the girl was. He watched as she struggled for control and felt his cheek twitch at her chuckle.
David watched from Armin’s side with Armin still blocking the entire bathroom. David glared at Annie when she chuckled, his gold eyes flaring brighter.
“What’s so funny.” He snapped and Armin wanted to know the answer as well.
He never took his eyes off her now that he had her attention. Her icy blue eyes were ever so cold and distant and made Armin want to grab her and make her spill her secrets.
“What’s happened here and at the mission. What’s the important information that we were sent to collect?” Armin raised an eyebrow at her outburst to David and felt the man’s wolf closer to the edge.
“Why are you egging David on? Wish to kill him too? Are you a enemy Annie Leonhart? Should I dispose of you right here? Or take you back to the Infirmary as a Packmate, you do need professional care. Your choice.” If she was smart, she would take the lifeline he had presented with her, it wouldn’t be forever but would give her time. Armin had always thought that she was smart, he hoped that she hadn’t gotten stupid since he had last saw her.
He also chose to believe that she was innocent; no, he could feel that she was. There was something about her, the way she did things, the look in her eyes, that had always made Armin wonder just what weight she had to carry in her life. They were never that close though it didn’t stop him from thinking about her from time to time.

"All bark and no bite I see." She edged on, taunting David and ignoring Armin. Although his presence was more alarming to her than that of the other mutt in the hotel room. "I guess the bigger you get the more your brain shrinks," With a nod, she chuckled again before using the wall as a support to help herself get up. "And here I thought to myself: 'oh Annie, David just cant become that retarded. Natural selection would eventually get rid of the filth that he his.' But that thought has clearly failed me so I wonder if I should just go ahead and take care of you myself, what do you think?" She tilted her head towards Armin, gaze cold and calculating before her blue eyes shifted over to a fuming David.
He words sounded collected, no different than the tone she normally would use but there was a sharpness to them. She was diverting the attention, in a way. But the two males in front of her seemed overwhelmed with the situation. The fact that they've jumped so quickly at her could be used to her advantage and she knew that as much as she knew that she was actually guilty. But she didn't kill Gina and as long as they thought that she did, she could grasp to that and win.
If not... Well, she wouldn't hesitate to keep herself alive.
She had talked more than she had ever remember saying in front of Armin and David, but in her quest to deflect she found herself opening her dry cracked lips and continuing, "Now unless we want to sport a nice little bullet to our very own brains I suggest you shut the fuck up and get the fuck out of here."
Annie tried getting up, but she couldn't will her body to stand up on it's own.
Her eyes darting to Armin, bearing into him with a glare. "I was in the bathroom," She found herself explaining even though she had no intention on doing so. Her clothes are damp and the bathtub was still filled with the red water that was poured over her body to get rid of the thick layer of Gina's blood that had dried over her entire being. "When I came too, they were gone and so was the information we needed to get back to you. I tried saving Marco but I couldn't and so I came back here to save myself." She blinked slowly, almost bored as she talked. She didn't need to give details, it was obvious that both Jean and Marco has been shot and the blood on her hands? Simply an attempt to save Marco rather than take his life.
"Arlert." She said in a more warning tone, "You either take my life right now or move out of the way before I beat the shit out of the two of you."

"Shut your face woman." David spat at the floor, "This is why I've never liked you, always a bitch." He turned around, ignoring the rest of what she was saying. Armin was right, he should find the evidence that would put the bitch behind bars or better yet, get her dead.
He scanned the room, it held two beds, a small tv, and the bathroom. He looked around the floor and found a gun a few feet away from the bodies. He took his book bag off and looked for the evidence bags and carefully bagged the gun. David looked around the room for any additional clues.
Armin crossed his arms over his chest, leaning now against the bathrooms doorframe. He listened to what Annie had to say, ignoring her dark looks. He felt like a kid for a second again, with Annie glaring at him and biting into him with her harsh words. Though this was different, how? Armin couldn't figure it out just yet.
He wanted to tell her the facts, of how her story didn't add up, but Armin watched as she struggled to move about, and once again concern for her injuries filled his mind.
"I'd like to see that Annie but let's play nice for now. Maybe when you heal up a bit we can see who's improved over the years." Armin moved out of the way, leaving space for her to walk out the door. He should have been more hostile towards her like David was, with her story so poor and the evidence practically right there for him to see. She was guilty. He believed she had killed them, why though was still his question.
"The higher ups aren't going to like this Leonhart. You'd better get your story straight." He told her, lowly, for her ears only. Then Armin left her in the bathroom and looked around the room more closely, he had wanted to see Annie first and foremost. But from what he could tell, besides the bodies that still laid fresh and bloody on the floor, there was almost nothing.
"Lets bag them." Armin said to David who got the big body bags out of his bag. He threw one side to Armin and they bagged Jean first. Armin was careful to not overly touch him, only by his ankles and David by his shoulders. They repeated the slow bagging with Marco, Armin watched as David's fingers got sticky with the fresh now drying blood.
"To the car." He hefted Marco up and left the hotel room momentarily and Annie alone. While he was outside, he made a phone call to the pack and let them know the highlights for now. He hadn't allowed David to go back in on his own. He didn't trust the two of them alone and didn't want anymore of his packmates dying tonight.
After his call, he signaled for David to help him with Jean. Annie should have crawled out of that bathroom by now. He wondered if he'd have to deal with the car to get her back home.

Annie felt like a fly on the wall.
She was weakened by her beaten state and that didn't settle well with her. She needed to do something about both David and Armin, but she felt some form of resentment and hesitation in her chest at the mere thought. She wasn't strong enough right now to do much of anything. With heavy blinks, she could see her vision sawing and darkening every time she tried getting up.
Those assholes from Marley really did a job on her and she wasn't sure how she was supposed to take care of her current situation in the state that she was in.
Armin's words sounded brave to her and they left her with a hint of a smile as she fought for consciousness in the bathroom. "Damn it, why are the lights so fucking bright?" She asked herself as she got up and stumbled out of the door. Both bodies had already been taken outside by the time she made it out of the small room. Looking around slowly, she dully noted that the gun was also missing.
Slowly, she made her way to Armin, using the walls near her as a support. She stood next to him for a length of time, staring at the floor in front of him before she glanced in his direction. "Who is it?" She asked lowly. "Who do you think is going to suffer the most from the lost of this information? The higher ups... It's all a fucking joke. Who do you actually think is in charge here Armin?"
The strength in her tone of voice died off as she talked, then slowly, she started rocking forward and by the time she was done talking her voice was no higher than a whisper.
Then, she passed out.

Both bodies were packed in the trunk of the car with David waiting impatiently against it. Armin had made his way back to the motel room and was leaning against the wall by the door, staring at the floor where the bodies had laid. He hadn't been close with either Marco or Jean or Gina for that matter, but he cared either way since they were pack. It was just...Armin glanced up to watch Annie making her way across the room.
He watched her look at the floor, trying to see anything pass her face, but she kept it blank per usual. No guilt, no sorrow, nothing. Just a slice of anger in her eyes. Armin clenched his teeth, being reminded once more of the Pack's vulnerability. She was right, ever since the female Alpha Decoii died, the pack was crumbling down. The remaining Alpha Angus kept to himself since Decoii's death but still tried his best to handle the pack. Armin found himself reporting mostly to Ventia, the Beta, who was so busy trying to pick up the slack that he knew something like this would piss her off but what could she could? Practically nothing. Four months of recon just down the drain-useless now.
"It's our Pack regardless Leonhart. If you hate it so much, then leave." He spat, anger rising and then noticed she was falling, automatically he reached out to grab her before she plummeted to the floor. She felt light in his arms and Armin didn't like it, she had always been strong and heavy in his mind. He remembered their drills of her practically beating his ass.
"Stupid Annie." Armin muttered and picked her up gently, trying to be considerate of her wounds. He held her princess style but more straight than bent and made his way towards the car. The car would be faster and although he hated driving them, he hated the thought of David driving her more. The man could do more damage to her or vise versa.
"Put down the passenger seat," he ordered David who growled in opposition but did what was told. Armin made his way to the car, trying to not think of the feel of the woman in his arms. How hot she felt against him. Armin placed her down gently, she was almost laying flat. It'd have to do. He shut the door, rounded the car and got in, the keys had been in the motel but they had already grabbed it and left it on the dash.
"I'll see you back in the Pack, go straight there and no detours David; Gina's gone. No point in wasting your life for a dead body." They should check either way but with what had already happened, Armin wasn't about to make things worse. He turned the car on, glanced at Leila who watched a few feet away, and sighed. He hated cars. Yet he back out of the rundown motel and made his way back home. He wanted to get Annie to the infirmary fast so he stepped on the gas.

"They're a bunch of Devil's and you know it." The whispered echoed heavily in her sleeping mind. It sounded so solid and real that it jolted her awake.
It took Annie a couple of blinks to realize that she was in a car. The humming and vibration almost putting her back to sleep but she forced her self to focus out of silent panic. A quick glance revealed an empty front passenger seat and a head of blonde hair as the driver- Armin. She relaxed a bit before slowly sitting up and groaning, hands moving to her head in pain.
David wasn't in the small car with them and so she assumed that he had left in the horses. Annie knew this meant that both bodies were in the car with them... But she wondered where the gun went, the only actual proof they had against her in this situation. But did that even count? Annie's print could be all over that damn thing because it could simply belong to her.
Armin looked tense, even from the poor view she had on him from her place in the back.
She could do this... She could go back to spying on the pack, her mission wasn't over and she couldn't accept failure just yet.
"You should lighten up on the gas petal before you kill the two of us." She said lightly, chuckle leaving her body as she leaned forward. "Can we... We need to stop, you know that right? I need food and a shower. Let's go to a hotel and figure this out before we get too ahead of ourselves. We could still make something out of this shit show."
Annie remembered Armin always calling her a good person. When she beat the shit out of him and everyone else in training, when she looked out only for herself, he always smiled and told her that she was a good person. She trembled at the memories, a warm feeling invading her body before she shoved it down to the back of her mind. When she broke his nose, he thanked her, telling her that he had learned something new because of her. Armin... Armin was the only variable to the equation that fucked her up and left her frustrating and absolutely pissed off and Annie didn't even understand why.
But him being here after all these years was a distraction. Annie fisted her hands into the fabric of her jeans in an attempt to stop them from trembling.

Her voice sounded sweeter now that they were alone in the car. Armin blinked a few times, his grip on the steering wheel loosening just a little. He had been clenching it, tensed as he thought back to those horrible car accidents. Armin breathed in deep, and besides from the hint of Marco and Jean, and barely of David or Gina, all Armin could smell was Annie Leonhart.
He hadn’t been wanting this moment to come, where he’d think her voice sounded sweet and beckoned at him to come closer. Where her scent tried to fill his lungs with her, to get into his skin.
“My bad.” Armin apologized, easing up on the gas, he had been pushing it with the seventy and settled on a smooth fixty. His eyebrow twitched at her next words and he let out a breath, trying to force her scent away from him. His wolf rolled his eyes at him but kept silent.
“What you need is a doctor. All I know is first aid at best. You have broken bones I was told. You’re obviously in a lot of pain. We can still figure this all out at a hospital room. Why a hotel room? Matter of fact I don’t think I ever saw you go to the Infirmary. Scared of needles Annie?” Armin glanced at her from the rear view mirror.
Leonhart was so close, Armin could practically feel her breath against his ear. It unnerved him. It unnerved Armin that he was actually considering her proposal because it would finally be a chance for the two of them to really talk and for him to get closer. Armin mentally kicked himself with that thought and yet he still couldn’t deny the possibility of this working in his favor.
“If I take you to a hotel, you’ll survive? Don’t want you blaming me for your death now, Leonhart.”

Annie smiled faintly, so faintly it didn't even register much in the reflection of the rear view mirror.
The dark blue and purple bruises that had been roughly tainting her skin were starting to let up a little but she couldn't see much else in her reflection. How did she look to Armin? the thought echoed in her mind but left a deep tension in her core. He had definitely grown but she couldn't really tell how much. Find a way to figure this situation out... Figure him out... Kill him if you must.
Rough words started entering her thoughts and she turned her head slightly towards him with a blank look. Glancing at the curve of his cheeks and how they've changed, matured.
"Please." She said breathlessly, before pausing. Why was she talking like this? It sounded soft and begging and she's never said something with such delicately in her entire life. The tension in her core twisted and grew.
Clearing her throat, she grunted and licked her lips dried before trying to continue talking, focusing on steadying her tone. "Please," She repeated a bit harsher, "As if." She said with a roll of her eyes. She was most definitely not scared of something so stu ipd.
"There's definitely something fucked up and at this point I think you're going to have to kick my ass to rebreak it and put it all in it's proper place. Chance of a lifetime for you to finally land a single blow in my direction." She teased, "I'll even let you do it for free if you take me somewhere nice."

A chill sizzled down Armin's spine at her breathy please. It sounded almost like a moan and even Armin couldn't stop the instant picture of her underneath him, sounding just like that, moaning for him, saying please but for very different reasons. Armin cleared his throat out, trying to stop his responses to her.
He had always been attracted to Annie, which was one of the reasons why he had to get away. Armin started taking missions away from home, those missions would take anywhere from weeks to months. He'd come back late, go to his little apartment in the dorms, then early in the morning he'd report in and get out with another long term mission. He had successfully avoided Leonhart and had assumed that with the time apart, he'd would stop feeling such a attraction. Armin with all his smarts, was wrong.
"They didn't break it back yet?" He shook his head, wondering why the boys hadn't done it at the beginning. Even now he knew her body was trying to heal itself, the bad bruising on her face was already starting to lessen, her bones would be doing the same. Damn. Armin changed his course, going for one of the hotels that he had stayed at countless times. It was clean and as safe as it could get in the Deadlands, it was only ten minutes away from where they were and would do just fine.
Armin chuckled, he felt warm and light despite the situation. "I wouldn't call this a win Annie." He glanced back at her, she was so close, her scent and body heating practically rubbing against him.
"You should relax, we'll be there soon. I'll set your bones right, feed you, have you sleep, and then we should be on our way back to the Pack. The bodies will start to stink in a few hours and they should be buried back on Pack grounds. We can try to salvaged the mission after that."
