(( Ventia )) Annie hadn't asked Armin any questions on who exactly she was supposed to be seeing. She supposed she really should have but now it felt like it was a bit too late and she was a bit too nervous to hold a casual conversation. After Armin made her piss in a cup, their relationship developed weirdly and she would be lying to herself if she said she had forgotten all about this, but in a way, she kind of did. Opening the mate bond with Armin and his Titan's had turned out to be more than she had thought it would be. Deeper this time around and Armin did make a note to take care of her in anyway she needed him to for the rest of the day. Which included baths, sex, food, more sex... She had most definitely forgotten about the fact that she was pregnant. Today Armin had woken her up so she could go see this stranger, have this stranger touch her, and tell her if she was actually pregnant and truth be told Annie Leonhart wasn't having it. The car ride felt like it lasted forever and her legs wouldn't stop bouncing even when she willed them too. On top of that, her hands became clampy and even though Armin had the AC cranked up all the way, Annie was hot and irritated. She knew some of it was going through the bond to him because he kept glancing at her with worry. She still had a lock on all her worries about this child, her fears kept from him and even though it was childish, because this was his child too, she didn't want him to be burdened by all her concerns. Serious or not. The car came to a stop and Annie's head turn to look at Armin's side profile. God, he was absolutely beautiful. Just glancing at him managed to calm some of her nerves down. "Are we there yet?" Her voice was soft but there was an irritated scoff on her face. She took a couple of deep breaths but it failed to calm her nerves. "You know, we should probably just go home." She said, bringing her nails into her mouth so she could bite on them, a habit of hers when anxious. "I mean, what did you even tell this doctor, Armin? I mean it's not like you could tell them the truth about us, right? What are you supposed to say? 'oh, yeah, we're titan's and while that may mean nothing to you, it means something to someone and if that information gets in the wrong hands people could be after us' or like.... I'm practically human Armin. Can't we go to a human doctor? I mean a human that steams and turns into a giant version of herself but a human still and this baby... You have two Titan's and you're human but will this baby be human? I mean, I don't know how it normally works but I'm sure the baby come out human but that's with regular parents. Not one with two titan's and a giant- I mean would it be better if I just ate someone? Then we can just pretend tha-" Annie paused. Her face suddenly twisted up in a look of disgust because she really couldn't believe she had just said that out loud. Her nerves had been most definitely getting the better of her and she scrambled to turn and spill out the contents of the plastic bag at her feet before holding that bag to her face and gagging into it. Luckily she didn't puke but after a couple of long seconds she groaned loudly and pulled the bag from her face, cheeks pink as she leaned back into her seat and glanced out the car door. "...Sorry."

Armin couldn’t keep his chuckles in, instead softly smiling at Annie as she tried to make herself as little as possible. It was both very cute and very worrying and yet something he’d look forward to down the line with their upcoming child. Armin reached over to lay his hand on her knee, smoothing her skin in lazy circles even though a part of Armin wanted to do something else to relax her. He wondered if she minded having sex so many times lately but Armin couldn’t seem to keep his hands off of her, and when he did managed to do so, Annie was the one who started being touchy touchy with him. And so, the glorious cycle kept on twirling and going, getting sweeter and better with each round.
The mate bond only intensified his need, among other things. Armin was happy, overly sickeningly so even, every minute, every hour, every night and day, it was filled with his profound joy that Armin just couldn’t contain. Even the nightmares didn’t bother him as much these days, for Armin’s daily life was just that much better than he could hope for. Dream of.
Even now, driving to Ackerman’s clinic with Annie biting her nails and shrinking in her seat, almost puking with how nervous she was and everything else she was feeling, Armin couldn’t not be happy. It was the day they were going to be fully aware whether Annie was pregnant or not, and while Armin didn’t know if Ackerman had all the answers to Annie’s worries, for she was just a regular wolf shifter, he did know that they’d leave with more knowledge than they came with and a few questions answered.
“Dont be, not at all, yes we’re here Annie,” Armin had pulled into a parking spot and stared at the large grey building in front of them, the car was still running, gushing out cold air that was making Armin feel warm and relaxed, even though he could feel that bubble of anxiety deep in his gut. Annie’s own anxieties was mixing into it but Armin eased it down, letting Annie feel his steady calmness and the knowledge that they would be alright. No matter what came their way.
“How you feeling love? A little nervous? That’s okay, I’m not too fond of doctors myself but you’ll be okay. Plus you know her, she’s in New Dawn, and knows a little about our situation, Mikasa Ackerman? She went ahead and joined the Healers surprisingly.” Armin moved the car into park and leaned over, brushing back the stray hairs that were sticking to Annie’s flushed face, looking into her wide panicked eyes and feeling a surge of protectiveness and arousal flood him.
“You’re okay.” Armin reminded her, rubbing her thigh and giving Annie a minute to gather herself.

Annie was extremely happy she chose to wear a pair of shorts and a tank top today. She felt extremely hot and was sweating despite the hairs on her arms and legs standing up in chilled fright, skin distorted in a series of goosebumps that came from the harsh air-conditioned in the car. For some reason, the fact that Armin was so calm and collected really made her want to lean over and hit him. Annie wasn't shy about letting her annoyances drift through the bond. Although she wished she was better at controlling her other emotions too. Armin's touch did work well to sooth her worries and she took another deep breath and tried, once again, to calm herself.
She was slowly learning to become more expressive. Usually she would just tell him things that bothered her but lately, she worked on her expressions. So her face would shift and soften up more when she was looking at him. So when she turned to look at Armin, she made a point to bring her eyebrows together and move her lips in what she thought would be a frown but came across as an angry pout instead. She rolled her eyes and glanced at his hand on her knee. "How am I feeling?" She frowned for real this time, face shifting into her usual cold deadly look of annoyance. "I'm feeling like I want to lean over and punch you in the face for finding this so funny. Armin, your stupid chuckles aren't falling on deaf ears."
Annie wasn't used to feeling this vulnerable. Like she couldn't do anything, like she would rather claw her way out of her own skin than walk into that building. Then again, Annie wasn't used to the idea of possibly being pregnant. She wasn't used to the mate bond, or having an actual home, or being happy. She wasn't used to anything and right now, she could use some alone time. Something that she was very used too. But glancing at the clock on the dashboard made her groan, they arrived on time but because of her stupidity they now ran late.
"I've... I've never been to a doctor and the closest thing I know to one is Magath, Armin... I'm not... This is the hardest thing I've had to do in a while and something is telling me that it's only going to get harder from here." She pulled down the mirror and glanced at her reflection, fixing her hair and rubbing her eyes all while trying to recollect who Mikasa could possibly be.
Until she remembered, and now she was frowning again. "You mean... That girl from that little trio you had back then? I'm pretty sure she hates me so this isn't making me feel any better. Didn't we spar back in training once? Everyone made a huge deal out of that... She was always glaring daggers at me after that." Was it as bad as she made it sound? Probably not. Was Annie still fetching for reasons why they should leave? Definitely. But when it became obvious that it wasn't going to work, she rolled her eyes and unbuckled her seatbelt, getting out the car before Armin had a chance to open the door for her.
Once she stepped out of the car, Annie worked hard on masking the anxiety and plastering her usual icy blue glare and stoic face on, as if she hadn't been about to puke from nerves alone. "You should hurry up," She said, turning to Armin and blaming him for why they were running late. As if it hadn't been her fault all along. "It isn't polite to make people wait for you."

Armin was still sitting as Annie told him to hurry up, a little slow from being lost in his own thoughts after watching Annie fret about in the car. She was wonderful, Armin couldn’t help but think a little dumbstruck despite having years of getting used to the greatness that was Annie Leonhart. His mouth went dry, that primal need sneaking its way back to Armin’s head making him want her again-now even, even more so with her icy eyes and accusing tone, his heartbeat danced, his arousal tilting over-Armin frowned at himself than at Annie, raising his eyebrow sharper and tsking under his breath, he gathered his things and turned off the car, stepping out, the air warm and dry compared to the cool blasting of their AC earlier, making Armin tug a little at his collar, unbuttoning a button to let his chest breathe. All while humming something that sounded quite like Annie’s name.
Finally he got to her side, making sure to take his time and maybe irritate Annie a little bit more, if she was focused on him, she wouldn’t be thinking of other things. Armin slid his fingers gently down the spine of Annie’s back, touching her elbow and sliding down the length of her fine arm, touching her fingers and clasping them with a satisfied sigh. He pushed the passenger door closed, pressed the lock button on his key, and gave Annie a equally satisfied smirk, feeding his enjoyment of her actions with him through their bond.
“You’re very right Annie my dear, come,” Armin eased her forward, down the little sidewalk, his steps slow enough, his eyes on Annie’s, giving her a little wiggle of his brow, or a wink whenever her eyes met his. He did pause just before the clinic’s door, “You know? I totally bet on you during that fight, despite the fact that yeah we were best buds back then, I wanted you to win. Always do, Leonhart. You’ll win at this too, my bet’s on you babe.”
Armin laughed gently at himself and reached for the clinic’s door, giving his Annie one final look before holding the door open.

By the time Armin made his way over to Annie, she had crossed her arms over her chest and looked ready to murder. The sun was too hot against her shoulders and she had half a mind to kick Armin but as his enjoyment mingled with her annoyance through the bond, Annie did find herself softening up a little bit. Much to her dismay. His hand down her spine made her visibly shiver and Annie rolled her eyes at Armin because the excitement in him only grew at that small action. "You're such a pervert." She scoffed, but happily held his hand.
Armin's slow pace was doing wonders, Annie realized. The tingles from the bond and his teasing was actually putting her mind to rest. He was here with her and it wasn't like she needed help or protection, but he was here, and Annie was more than happy. By the time they made it to halfway, she was no longer wanting fetching for a good enough reason to leave. "I'm going to start punishing you with no sex, if you keep this up." She said with a grin, after her third glance at him and his second wink. Regardless of her unamused tone, Annie now had a small blush on her face. With another glance and yet another wiggle of his brows, Annie let out a small laugh and hit his arm lightly. "Okay, stop!" She said with a grin.
"It's kind of a shame that Shadis broke that up, you know? But I don't believe you, Arlert. Not with how you'd follow her around back then." Her own words made her frown slightly, did Armin have a crush on Mikasa back then? She wouldn't blame him, everyone practically did. But much must have changed with the girl if she ended up being a healer. Mikasa was arguably the strongest person in their camp. Constantly finishing tasks in first place. Suddenly, Annie felt a tingle of a feeling in her chest that took her a bit to realize was jealousy. But she swallowed it down so she could allow herself to smile at Armin.
He spoke as if he always believed in her and despite the fact that Annie was almost a hundred percent convinced that she would fuck this up somehow, she believed in him when he believed in her. That was more than enough to make her want to try her hardest and pay no mind to her worries. Annie studied the shades in his ocean blue eyes and with a smile, squeezed his hand. "I love you." She blurted out, blushing deeper. Feeling shy, she hurried inside, letting go of his hand.
For the most part, Annie reserved her confessions of love. Usually telling him in the middle of an argument out of frustration or during sex. She supposed, this was the first time she had just told him without any prompting and by the time she made it into the small waiting room, she was completely flushed.
The brown haired girl in the waiting room that greeted them was not Mikasa, much to her pleasure and Annie cleared her throat before returning her hello. "You must be Armin." She told them, glancing past Annie towards Armin with a small blush. Annie smacked her teeth together and let out a small sound of displeasure, her hands crossing over her chest once again. "A-and you're Anne, right?" The girl flushed, glancing over at her finally.
"Annie."
"Right. Mikasa is in the back but I'll let her know you guys are here... For now," She paused and dug through a desk, pulling out a plastic covered cup. "The bathroom is past the hall to the left, please fill the cup to the line. Armin? I'll show you to the room. My name is Mina, by the way." Once again, Mina was glancing at Armin and Annie was left feeling much more annoyed than she had been before. She grabbed the cup and turned her head to glare at Armin before making her way to the bathroom.
"How have you been? I hear you're an old friend of Mikasa's?" The girl asked, walking down the hall to lead Armin into the small room that Mikasa would use to see Annie. "Would... Would you like anything to drink?"

Armin chuckled at Annie’s soft blushes, rubbing his thumb lazily over the inside of Annie’s palm, enjoying the sight next to him. He did frown at her words, and playfully gasped and touched his chest with his free hand, widening his eyes and lifting his brows in mock shock. “You can’t do that! I’d die if I can’t keep my hands on you! Don’t you know?” Armin bent his head lowered, his voice dialing down into a smooth rough tone, whispering despite them being the only ones outside. “Fucking you is like oxygen to me Kitten. You can’t take that away from Daddy.” His lips brushed her ear and Armin couldn’t resist taking a taste and a little bite, before chuckling softly as he pulled back, squeezing Annie’s hand as they walked.
Armin ran his free hand through his hair, which he had left loose and it was getting longer again, the ends brushing against his shoulders. He wore a light blue dress shirt and a nice pair of jeans, wanting to look good for his first visit with his child-yes he truly believed Annie was pregnant despite having all the proof and this would be good for Annie since he assumed Ackerman would be her doctor for the pregnancy-if all things went okay. They didn’t have the best of relationships, but then again Annie had never been close to anyone back then. Instead they had a very healthy rivalry going on and that wasn’t even stemmed from the two of them, but from the Packmates always putting them together and wanting to know who was stronger and better.
“Hmmm I also followed you around a lot, you just didn’t care for it. But yes Annie I definitely rooted for you, kinda wanted to see Mikasa getting a taste of her own medicine and I could only think of you being strong enough to dish it. Dont tell her that though, she might misunderstand.” Armin was about to say something else, about another subject that was sensitive for Ackerman but Annie’s confession made Armin’s lips falter, he caught sight of her bright face and loved the squeeze of their hands before Annie escaped into the clinic, leaving Armin reeling, his chest feeling tight and full, and the urge to kiss her demanding to be done.
Armin was smiling as he entered the waiting room, about to reach Annie’s back, when she walked away to grab the cup and then glare at him with her pretty icy eyes before going into the bathroom. Armin gave her a silent plea through the bond, knowing she didn’t like peeing in cups, and had no choice but to turn and face the assistant. Mani? Mini? What had she said her name was? Armin had been so caught up in his joy with Annie telling him she loved him to really pay any attention to anything else.
“I’m fine, I’ll wait for my fiancé to come back.” Armin didn’t like the way he was being told to leave Annie behind, even if it was only just a few feet away, he could feel his slight irritation of Annie not by his side and this woman urging him to go farther away growing, Armin calmed himself down, choosing to glance around the clinic itself, walking towards one wall and reading the brochures and pamphlets, completely ignoring the girl, who was still trying to get him to go to the other room.
It wasn’t long before he heard that particular set of footsteps, that distinctive scent that tasted more fiery at the moment, and could feel her closeness throughout their bond. Armin turned, the earlier sourness of her absence dissolving instantly, that happy gleam easing back into his eyes and heart, as Annie frowned and glared her annoyance at being there.
“Hey,” Armin’s voice was rough, and not in his playful way but in his I-almost-went-crazy-there-for-a-second-way, which was another telltale sign of how much Armin needed to be next to her, his hand clasped the lower part of her back and Armin reached for the plastic cup, easing Annie forward finally into the place where the assistant had wanted him to go, taking the cup and giving it to the assistant who was watching them with wide eyes.
“Here you go.” Armin’s voice was cold pretending to be warm, his smile seemingly sweet despite the fangs he hid underneath. “This room?” He asked nonchalantly, his mood easing back into his lazy joy, getting the confirmation and opening the door into the small room and easing Annie inside. It was empty still and Armin closed the door behind him, and pulled Annie back into his embrace, her back to his chest, his arms wrapping around her, hugging her tightly for a second and bending his head to kiss at her neck.
“I love you too Annie.” Armin nuzzled his face into the sweet curve of her body and neck, breathing in her scent deeply and using it to relax further. It worked wonders and Armin sighed into her, not wanting to let Annie go but knowing he’d have to.
“How you feeling?” He asked as he finally pulled away from her, letting Annie walk further into the room while he dragged himself to one of the chairs. The room looked very hospital-like now that Armin was looking at it, and he knew Annie didn’t like such things, once again hoping things would go well. No. It would be fine. Everything would.

Annie stood behind the bathroom door for a little longer than she probably should. She wasn't happy with having to piss in a cup, once again, especially with her possible pregnancy in question. Deep down, she still wished the tests they ran at home would have been false positives, but she shook her head at those wishes. Armin would be upset about that, she realized, so she shouldn't want that. With a sigh, she paid attention slightly to the sounds of Armin's and Mina's voices and decided that it really was childish of her to refuse to pee in a cup when they've come this far. Plus, the slight tingles she felt from Armin through the bond was enough motivation for her to hurry and go back to him.
She was still in a sour mood by the time she made it back to him. Holding the warm cup in her hands as she frowned up at him. She was nervous about the results. Even more nervous about seeing Mikasa and having the women be her doctor out of all things. She was nervous about being pregnant and hated not knowing what she was supposed to be expecting from this visit. Something in the tone of Armin's voice made her switch her attention back to him, wondering if he felt the same nerves that she did or if he was upset about something else all together.
She opened her mouth to ask him if everything was okay but they moved to the room and her question died down in her throat, unasked. She let out a small squeak of surprise when he hugged her but quickly relaxed into his arms with a smile. "I would hope so, Armin." She said teasingly with a small smile before pulling away and looking around. Her attention drawn to a poster about seasonal allergies and she let out a small chuckle before following Armin to a chair, sitting closer to the wall and further away from the hospital bed she probably should have sat in.
"I'm getting hungry." She confessed, turning to look at Armin who sat next to her. Slowly, she curled her arm around his own, fingers wrapping around his thumb, and since they sat alone in the room for the time being, she laid her head on his shoulder. "Did I overhear you calling me your fiancé earlier or am I going crazy?" She was in a much better mood now than she had been earlier. Realizing that just being with Armin before being with a stranger or Mikasa was taking a lot of stress off of her shoulders. It gave her time to get accustomed to the sterile smell of the room, even if she was paying more attention to Armin than her surroundings. "How about you, how are you feeling?"
But before he could really give her an answer, there was a knock on the door and she pulled away from him. Soon after, Mina rolled in a monitor that she moved next to her bed. "I have your tests running now, they should be done in a couple of minutes so while I wait, I'd like to take your pressure and check your temperature." She placed a clipboard on a nearby table, scribbling on the paper before removing a small tray from the cart the monitor sat on, sitting it next to the clipboard. She unwrapped the needles and veils from it's sterile bag before smiling at Annie. "I'll draw your blood first, If you don't mind, can you sit on the bed?"
It was clear that the tension returned to Annie the moment she saw the needles, but Mina didn't pick up on it as she poured some alcohol on a couple of cotton pads and pulled out a band aid to have ready. "I'd rather not..." Annie whispered, despite Mina not hearing and the girl glanced up with a questioning look.
"... Or we could do it from over there, that's not a problem." Since Annie was sitting closer to the wall, Mina would struggle a bit with finding a place to put her tray on. But despite that, she was sure she could reach if she moved the tray closer to Annie.
Annie's hands felt clampy, all of a sudden, and she could hear her own heartbeat drumming loudly inside her chest. She glanced at the door and realized that she blocked herself in and Mina was in the way of the exit and for some reason, that made Annie quickly panic.
"Oh my, you look pale. Don't tell me your scared of needles!" Mina exclaimed, but continued to prep her station up to draw Annie's blood, pulling a pair of gloves from the wall. "It's fine dear, it wont hurt and It'll only take a few seconds. We only need to do this once, after all, your blood would tell us so much about you! and we can make sure that you and your pups are healthy and safe!"
"I-I'm sorry? Pups?" Annie asked, voice small and strained, face pale.
"Well yes, you're a wolf shifter aren't you? You guys usually have a litter and the amount of babies depends on what type of blood you have and the genes that run through your body!"
Annie coughed. "Right... Wolf shifter..." But Armin was a wolf, in his primary shifted form and for a second Annie hated that the beasts own genes where unknown and that it was always skipped over how she and Armin at their core are both human. "Babies... As in... More than one?" Mina's rambling was definitely making her panic more and while she knew it was unlikely that she carried more than one baby, the idea still made her feel faint.
"Of course! That's why you're here right? Your blood test would help us more accurately predict the length of your term and the ultrasound would help us see how many fetus' are growing inside of you. Plus, we can determine any sicknesses you aren't aware of and other things that are important to know for your health and the health of your baby!" Mina was ranting now, eyes shinning in excitement as she pulled the tray and needles closer to Annie as she talked. "Your blood can tell us so much! Science has advanced incredibly-"
But Annie was no longer hearing her. Instead, she was back in a similar room with Magath rambling about the importance of her blood and how he hoped that she would be the perfect candidate for the loyal wolf. He had the same excited look in his eyes as Mina did, for much different reasons, and the memories of her first visit with him came flooding into Annie's head clear as day. A memory she didn't even think she still had until then.
"-Now if you don't mind giving me your arm!"
Her ears rang loudly as she shifted back into reality and Annie felt her skin heating up as her Titan form threaten to come out in her panic and sudden need to escape. "Armin." She choked out, "Armin! get hi-her away from me!" She felt like she couldn't breathe and despite her panic, she knew she couldn't turn into a Titan without hurting Armin in the process. Quickly, she stood up, knocking the tray out of Mina's hands and facing the wall. She was shaking and she could feel her markings stain her face but she was too deep in her panic attack to do much but face away from Mina.
She heard a slight commotion and forced herself to breathe as a door slammed shut and she could only assume Mina had left the room. Annie couldn't hear much past the ringing in her ears and the memories still playing in her head but she forced herself to come back to reality and quickly turned around to pick up the needles and vials from the floor, avoiding looking at Armin as she did so. "I'm so sorry." She was quick to apologize despite her current panic and even quicker to put everything back on the tray. "I-I'm so sorry I didn't mean to freak out Armin can you- can you take my blood before Mikasa comes in? I don't want to upset anyone it's just that- she- that-" Annie stopped talking and placed the tray on the table before sitting back down on the chair. Her eyes stung and she felt like she was going to faint. Her marks needed to fade quickly if she was going to save the situation and it all did nothing but add to her overstimulated panic.
She held a shaking arm out to Armin, "I don't really know how to do it and it's my dominant arm that Magath says gives him the least amount of trouble and I'm so sorry." Her words seemed slightly slurred and it was obvious that she was just trying -and failing- to keep her shit together. She rubbed hard at her cheek with her left hand and kept her face hidden incase someone came back into the room. Why did she always have to fuck things up? With strangers and honestly anyone other than Armin. No one that cared for him cared remotely about her, she always fucked things up with his friends, she realized. The guilt only made her feel worst.

Armin was glaring at the assistant by the time she got halfway into her rant, that excited shine bursting in her eyes looked almost crazed with its delight, and Armin had no problems recognizing what it looked like and more importantly who it would remind Annie of. Armin tried being subtle and clearing his throat, even letting out loud warning growls that should have stopped a normal human cold in their tracks. But for the girl, she barely noticed and kept going. Armin glancrd back at Annie, her face looked as white as a sheet and he could feel the panic settling in through the bond, Annie’s thoughts and feelings running into him and making Armin grit his teeth, feeling helpless because blood work was common in situations like this and feeling angry over what Magath had done to Annie, that almost a year after his death, his memory still affected her so. Armin wished he could have killed him all over again.
He was wishing he could kill this chick too. When Annie snapped up straight and knocked the tray into the air, when she called for him? Armin felt freed from his helplessness and shot up too, letting his sour mood show on his face, his eyes growing darker with flares of gold, his teeth stretching with the desire to sink into something. “You need to leave. Now.” Armin all but growled, and grabbed the assistant’s arm and half dragged her half pulled her towards the door, ignoring her comments about letting go of her arm. He wasn’t hurting her, so Armin didn’t see why she was complaining so much. In fact, she was lucky that was all he was doing. He slammed the door shut, even going as far as locking it before turning over and staring at Annie.
She was still facing the wall, her shoulders shaking, her scent masked with her pain of her past, and her body looking so tiny as she trembled while she stood. Armin hated being the reason for another episode, another reminder of what she had to go through, hated that he was bringing her pain by making her go through with this. Putting her into a environment where Annie had bad memories of all because Armin wanted to confirm her pregnancy.
“Stop Annie.” Armin said from the door, watching her bend over now and start frantically picking up the tools. Apologizing for no reason. It both hurt him to watch and angered him. “Stop.” Armin commanded louder and moved back towards her, getting on his hands and knees and picking up the last of the instruments, letting Annie move it to the table and staring up at her as she sat down.
Armin reached for her hands but stopped short, gripping her knees instead and breathing hard, her scent filling his lungs thick and heady, that panicky tone making his blood feel like molten lava within his veins. Her Titan marks scarring her face in this setting looked harsher and deeper with the white fluorescent lights, and Armin could feel his mood growing worse as Annie’s eyes started to tear up and as she hid her face.
Armin didn’t trust himself to speak yet, worrying that anything he would say would only push Annie over the edge. Armin sometimes said the worst things at the wrong times. Still, he felt like he needed to say something. To let Annie know that none of this was her fault. So he poured that emotion into the bond, using Annie’s method of verbalizing her emotions, not with words per say, but with everything she was feeling, everything he was feeling, strong and vibrant within their own minds and hearts, a world just for them, a language only the two of them would understand.
He poured his emotions into her, letting Annie know she was safe, that Armin wouldn’t let anyone or anything hurt her, that it wasn’t her fault, how annoying that nurse was with her blabber mouth, his irritation of said behavior, how proud he was of how Annie handled it, that she did perfectly considering the situation, that she was doing just fine and that Armin was here, he didn’t think she was being silly, or over dramatic, that he understood completely and should have done something to prevent such a situation. Armin kept telling her everything he wanted to say, all while he did her bidding, getting fresh supplies from around the room as he had saw the nurse done, and once he had everything set, Armin slipped on some gloves.
It was a good thing the Pack trained them in the Medical department as well. Otherwise Armin wouldn’t have trusted himself to do this, but since it wasn’t the first time they’ve had to do this, Armin didn’t see a problem. He would do anything to make things better for Annie.
Quietly, Armin approached Annie again and cleaned her arm, bending forward to press a soft light kiss against the only exposed side of her right cheek that still had her scars showing. “You’re okay.” He said in her ear and then got her arm ready, making quick work of putting the needle in, and filling the few vials they had set aside and placing it in the container, he popped the needle out with the safety button, and pressed a gauze into Annie’s arm, putting pressure and opening the bandage and placing it over the gauze.
Armin moved the tray away, disposed of the trash and went to the door to unlock it. He opened it sensing someone on the other end and saw Mikasa glaring at him. Armin raised his eyebrow at her and despite wanting a minute alone with Annie-and Mikasa for that matter-Armin opened the door further. Telling Annie through their bond that Mikasa was here now which meant it was almost done with.
Mikasa Ackerman took one look in the room, her eyes drifting to all of its contents, and ending on the blonde petite woman. Mikasa entered the room, ignoring Armin’s impossible stare that seemed to look even more deranged these days, and sat on her rolling chair next to the table. “Are you okay Annie? I’m sorry for Mina, I told her to come get me once you two arrived, but I see she got a little excited and forgot. It’s nice to see you again, how are you feeling in general?” Mikasa asked gently, concern for her patient overruling everything else for the moment.

Armin was quick to always talk. Especially if she was going through something or the situation wasn't favorable. So when he didn't quickly jump at her with words Annie's eyes teared up more. She felt like she fucked up even though she tried her best to hold her panic and not do something regrettable. She found herself apologizing more. Promises of her doing better and more apologies poured out of her mouth without her even really knowing what she was saying because her ears still rang and her body still shook.
She felt him reach through the bond. His presence like a light stroke towards the depths of her mind and Annie froze for a long pause before melting into his invisible reach. Holding on to the sensation and words that rang through her mind. Armin had never reached out for her like this, it was something she tended to do when words burned her throat and frustration consumed her. It was nice. It was new. It was better than any words he could say to her right now and his reach soothed her panic, making the memories of Magath fade along with her anxiety attack.
She wanted to reach out to him. To thank him for being so understanding but she felt too tired to try to put into words how much that meant to her. With a small sigh, she reached forward and kissed his shoulder lightly, reaching back into the bond to let him know that she felt okay now. That she believed him. Her heart swelled up with something akin to overwhelming love and Annie let him feel a part of that too before pulling back from him.
She glanced up at the door, holding back a yawn. This was the first time one of her episodes ended so soon and it left her feeling a bit tired. This whole thing made her tired, honestly, and she almost closed her eyes and leaned her head back until she heard the door opening. Which only made Annie pull her face down to her chest, hands covering her cheeks. She felt the dips of the scars on her face and she shifted, covering her face more. Everything was happening a bit too fast for her and Annie was starting to feel uncomfortable all over again, even with Armin's silent reassurance.
"Ackerman." Annie greeted, hands busy feeling her face. She was still burning up too. Still, she let out a small chuckle and with her usual bored tone, she spoke as casually as she could. "she must be new to the field. Far too excited for her own good."
Annie slowly got up, moved to the sink and ran cold water across her face, trying to cool herself and hopefully coax her markings away. She wasn't sure how she felt with the idea of anyone other than Armin seeing them now that Marley was gone and no one knew about them. She grabbed a couple of napkins and ran them through the water before turning off the tap and holding the paper to her face so she could finally look at Mikasa, not caring about how silly she looked. Her usual Titan heat was making her feel overwhelmed and slightly light headed and she blinked when the room swayed but kept her composure as she slowly and overly cautious moved to the bed, sitting down.
She shot Armin a nudge through the bond, that something was wrong, but didn't elaborate. The heat had never bothered her before, did it harm the baby? Was she even pregnant. "I feel sick. Tired... Too Tired and weak and my stomach is always upset." Now that she was thinking about it, her stomach was too flat for her to be over a month pregnant. If what Mina said was true, and Annie had pups because of Armin, then wouldn't she be about a third of the way? Shouldn't she be showing? There was too much uncertainty and too much possibilities.
It was nerve wrecking.
"We ate some questionable foods the other day." She hates how her words could hurt him, but continues anyways. "I think I've been sick because of that... But here we are after a couple of positive tests at home that are most likely not even reliable. Do those things even work on people like us?" She continues with a frown before removing the tissues from her cheeks when she things the markings are gone. "But I guess you're here because you know the answers..."
Annie had come to terms that she was probably pregnant because of Armin's logic. But being here and listening to Mina talk, she wasn't so sure now, and despite her hatred of public affection, she reached out to grab Armin's arm, pulling him closer and showing him some sort of support. "Am I pregnant or not, Mikasa?" She asked carefully, eyes on Armin before they moved to the other girl in the room.
