She followed Armin, dumbfounded at the idea of him being from Marley. She couldn't fathom why they would even send her out to such a large pack if they didn't trust her. Much less, why would they send someone else. Was he there as back up? As a spy? Whatever he was doing there, Annie felt more angered at the secrecy than betrayed.
Armin was just Armin. She's noticed him in the past, more so than any of the others. She's watched him grow, gain strength, and become smarter than anyone she knew. If they would have worked together from the start, would they have already managed to take control of New Dawn?
Speculating on what if situations didn't make her feel better. Especially as she stumbled into the large bathroom, trying to keep up with him despite the height of her heels. Annie whirled around to face Armin, the tears in her eyes building out of anger more than fear now.
This was just Armin.
The guy that always got under her skin by simply looking at her. She supposed that now it made sense. He wasn't just casually glancing at her all these times, he was trying to strip her naked and judge her for all she's worth. Was every brief conversation they've had the same?
But she's kept loyal to Marley. Armin has nothing on her, despite being good at mental games. Annie had to remember that.
Annie met his eyes and found herself laughing. "Am I your enemy or your partner?" She repeated, lifting her leg and reaching for the straps of her heels. Taking one off, then the other. Their height difference was more noticeable when she was standing on the bare cold tiled floor. "I'm whatever you need me to be. Whatever they need me to be. As long as the job gets done nothing else matters, right?"
She wasn't stupid, she knew she wasn't liked. Back in Marley and back in New Dawn. Annie was always questionable because she wasn't an easy person to talk too, or someone to play with. If making sure that she always looked out for herself was such a bad thing, then Annie didn't want to be corrected.
"I'm sick and tired of everyone questioning me. Why do you question me so fucking much? What have I done?" She kicks her heels to the side and hikes her skirt up so that she would be able to defend herself, so that Armin knew he wasn't intimidating her. Unless...
Unless he's pretended to be weak on purpose.
Scoffing, she bends and grabs her heel in anger. Finding that emotion to be the hardest to control and while she has some level of control, she was going to try her hardest to stop herself before killing him. "Fuck this and fuck you, I'm leaving."

"That's not true! Life shouldn't be like that." Armin shouted enough to say over her voice, not going to lie he was getting a bit skittish at seeing her hiking her dress up and removing her shoes. Everyone knew Annie had lethal legs, Armin probably more than everyone with how much they were paired up together in training. One of the strongest against one of the weakest. It was supposed to be for Armin's benefit, they would say, but how was that likely when all Armin got out from it was broken bones and bruises. At least, his regenerating process was sped up from it.
Still, to this day he had never won against Annie in a fight and seeing her getting ready to kick his ass into tomorrow was doing nothing to help his control on his own wayward emotions. "What?" His voice fumbled as he instinctively took a step backward, "are you going to fight me? God dammit Annie, what is wrong with you? Did it ever occur to you that people actually want to know the real you? At least I fucking do. I didn't know that every time I did you felt like it was a interrogation instead of two people trying to get closer."
He had been moving back towards the sink but when Annie changed her mind and was about to leave the bathroom, Armin jumped in front of her, getting his body between her and the door. He didn't want to keep repeating his past mistakes, every time he got even a little close she would flee and he would let her. Try to get her out of his mind. Try to forget her solemn face when she was believed to be alone. Despite his efforts, she was always there if he let his guard down, his curiosity towards her uncaring of the consequences.
His arms went up and he grabbed her shoulders, unintentionally he pushed her back as he extended his arms but his grip on her skin held her in place after that. Armin licked his lips in nervousness and softened his voice, "Stop, wait a minute please. I want..." What did he want? What was so important that he kept taking little moments alone with Annie any chance he got since this mission started instead of focusing on what they had to do. Why was his heart beating so fast?
It was drumming in his ears, making him feel hot and bothered, that itch in his skin, the fire in his blood screaming through his veins, and god her scent, sharp and alluring, festering within him from the first day she had slammed him to the ground, her body pressing against him roughly, pain filtering in through a unknown new sensation he had never felt before.
His eyes drifted from her blue gaze, down the delicate mask that softened her sharp nose, to the curve of her lips. In a thin line. Angry. Always angry with him. His grip tightened and his body began to bend down, closing the distance between their faces. "I want...I want to taste you..." He whispered, his breath hot, he flicked his gaze up at hers as their lips were about to touch.

His hands fell on her shoulders and she realized they felt even hotter against her bare skin. Something about Armin always had her a bit conflicted, now that she wasn't sure if he was New Dawn or Marley, that feeling got worse. Never mind the fact that she knew she was stronger than him, but something about the way his hands felt, had her glued to her spot.
He's never shown such a conflicting set of emotions and she had to remind herself that he was high.
But so was she.
The serum made him a bit open about his internalized issues. Maybe that's what it was supposed to do. An easy to weed out the spies and those who came with bad intentions. Even now, Armin was focusing on all the wrong things and the mission could easily get ruined if the right person so happened to walk across that door while he was saying the right thing.
You're making excuses again.
Her mind whispered before she even realized that she was going to start making excuses to forgive his behavior. New Dawn or Marley, she needed to know. It didn't even matter because as he pleaded for her to wait, she remembered all the times that he had tried.
Tried talking to her. Tried inviting her places when other people have given up. Her heart sped up and her breathing came in uneven puffs from between her slightly parted lips as her mind went down on a tangent. He tried helping her up after she kicked his ass, he tried looking out for her, he remembered her stupid birthday, and walked a little slower than the rest of the scouts to keep up with her even when she was being slow to make distance.
Why was she thinking of all the times he'd been there for her now? When none of it had mattered before.
You're trying to justify what you're about to do.
"I'm just trying to survive." She ends up whispering out loud, when he meant to reply to herself. She wasn't going to romanticize a bit of charity work from Armin. She's never asked for any of this. Annie's eyes focused on Armin's dilation seeming worse than before.
Her heart felt like it dropped out of her chest, and something screamed at her to stop. The part of her that was hardwired to follow instructions, to do, to ask no questions, was struggling to remain still despite the warning flags in her head.
Her hands reached for his shoulder, one sliding to the back of his head as he leaned in. Then she palmed his hair in her grip and held him in place. "You're high." She said, leaning back down on her heels. When had she leaned into him? When had she extended up on her tiptoes to reach him? "You don't actually want this. You're compromised, Armin, and I need to know if you're really from New Dawn or if you're the spy?"
He could have her killed. For simply kissing the enemy. Her loyalty would be in question and her life stripped away from her.
"What game are you playing at?"

He gritted his teeth at the sudden tension in his hair, effectively stopping him in his descent to her lips, but he didn't feel angry or even in that much pain, despite what it seemed like Armin had a very high tolerance for everything in his life. Pain. Loss. Rage. Loneliness. Joy. He could feel the emotions, could even let himself get swept away by them, but there was always a piece of him that never truly connected to them, like he was only reacting and not truly feeling.
"I want to survive too Annie." There had been sadness in the way she had said it, in a whisper barely audible enough, and he felt himself feeling a connection to those words forming within his chest. Burning a hole into him, searing everything within sight. Distant fragmented images of a dark childhood came into play within his mind, things he still didn't understand or want to remember, yet it didn't matter. Nothing mattered in the end. He knew that feeling too, maybe that was why he was trying so hard to hold onto her, because he could see himself in her eyes, and greedily wanted someone to understand him as he did them.
"I've never wanted anything more than I want you in this moment. Is it a game? I don't think so. Can't you feel it too? Even your pain feels nice to me. It always has. I like it. I think I like you too. Should I just take what I want? You said it doesn't matter so why are you fighting to get away? This mission was going to fail from the beginning, why cant we have some fun?" His words were lazy, his thumbs rubbing her shoulders in circles, his throat still extended and his pulse still jumping under his sensitive skin.
Before she could say something, he kicked out swiping her legs out from under her and pushing her down hard, as gravity took them both down, Armin twisted his body so he could take the brunt of the fall and have Annie sprawled out on top of him. He finally released her shoulders to grab the back of her head and roughly pushed her head down, his fingers clenching around her silky hair.
Their lips met roughly, and Armin felt a electric shock sparking seemingly rewiring his senses, any sense of reasoning or gentleness went away as his primal desires took over. He cupped her neck next, squeezing lightly as his mouth opened and his tongue slid out to taste her lips. His legs fighting for control with hers to try and get her pin above him as long as he could muster it. Her grip on his hair now was troublesome, like she was actively trying to rip his hair off, but it was such a distant thought that barely registered through his thick lust and excitement at finally kissing her.
"So what if I'm drugged," he growled when she got away and urged her face back down for another series of sloppy but enjoyable kisses. When she bit his top lip, Armin chuckled tasting his blood dripping down into his mouth, "I still want you, I want you Annie, I do, is that so fucking wrong?" He groaned and bit her bottom lip, sucking the flesh tenderly his canines starting to ache with a need he couldn't even describe. He wanted to bite. To take. To consume. Flesh. Blood. Her.

Dropping to the ground snapped her out of whatever little control she still had.
Annie could control the effects of the drug, she just had to try to stay grounded. The same went with her anger and every different feeling that came along with what Armin was saying and trying to do. Angrily, she punched down at Armin. Her fists are light and sloppy when they make contact and despite the redness to her cheeks and the tears of frustration lining her eyes, she couldn't tell him to stop.
She couldn't say anything past the lump in her throat.
Annie groaned when he grabbed her neck, the sensation shooting directly into her core and making her feel that much more frustrated as she fought against his lips. Her resolve to fight against him would weaken as she let out groans and muted yelps, as she punched and pulled and straddled. Grinding down against his hardening length without paying it much attention.
She was bleeding. Their blood mixing as their lips pressed together. Annie's light breath between kisses brought a shiver of excitement through her body. No one has ever looked at her like Armin had. She couldn't understand it, but it felt nice knowing that her pain felt nice to someone. Knowing that she was more than just a wallpaper or a pawn in someone else's story.
It was wrong, to want to be wanted.
Annie didn't know what it felt in any nice way. Her father wanted her to be a titan, Derek wanted to rape her, Marley wanted a spy, New Dawn wanted a scout. Everything she was, everything she's ever been was because someone else wanted that from her.
Sighing, she let go of his hair. Placing her hands against the cold tiled floor and leaning in to taste his swollen sticky lips. This time, when his tongue met hers, hers curled and slipped into his mouth, ready to please. She kissed him deeply. almost awkwardly before she pulled back with a sigh. Her eyes meeting his.
"You wouldn't want me if you knew what I was. I think... A soft pretty boy like you would be disgusted." She chuckled, lips falling down to his once again in a soft kiss. She liked this. Liked it too much. So much so that when she went to kiss him again, she ended up pressing down against his center and wrapping her hands around his neck in an attempt to strangle him.

Armin felt like he was drunk. Intoxicated with pleasure and pain. Two halves of a whole. Annie's soft breaths, the feel of her lips and tongue even her sweet sweet blood mixing between their tongues and saliva, creating a taste so intoxicating hypnotic and addicting that Armin kept groaning and sucking harder, his grip on her neck tightening and dragging her firmer down against him, his fingers clenching and tugging urgently in her hair in need of more. More. More.
When she returned his kiss, finally he thought soberly somewhere within the confides of his mind, Armin softened his hands momentarily damping his need to rush, wanting to slow it down as this was their first real kiss now, instead he began to pet her hair, untangling his fingers from the soft silk and brushing it with his large hands, caressing the sides of her face as he did so. His grip on her neck also loosened and he stroked the flesh lovingly before sliding that hand down, following the curve of her body, his thumb and fingers passing over her left breast, not shying away from hooking his thumb underneath and cupping it massaging the soft lobe before he laid back, letting both his hands fall back fervently aware of the straining in his pants and the ache deep in his balls.
"Annie," he said her name breathlessly, gazing up at her as she watched him from above. It was such a lovely sight, he groaned unable to stop his palms from moving and rubbing up and down against her thighs that were straddling his body, her pretty dress was hiked up all the way up to her lower hips, her bare thighs exposed and clenching around him, looking both soft and firm, both creamy and alluring in contrast to his darker pants.
"You look so good, you taste so good, why would I ever be disgusted? I like you so much I feel sick. All I'm asking is that you give me a chance. Let me in. Let me share your burdens. Not anyone else's. Yours. I won't disappoint you. I'm not so pretty or good as you may think." He said softly, gripping her thighs greedily, the blue in his eyes looked both bright and vibrant and dark and muggy. He let out a small breath when she kissed him, the softness of her lips feeling like a tease, a soft breeze that he couldn't catch.
"I want to see the real Annie." He whispered into her lips, closing his eyes enjoying the feel of her lips now that she was pressing hard into him. When her fingers closed around his neck squeezing him not at all nicely, Armin groaned hard nipping at her lips even as he felt breathless for a entirely different reason. He snaked his tongue out all the same, fighting past her teeth until he felt the hot wetness that was her mouth. The pressure was beginning to hurt, pulses of pain dashed through the pleasure, another needy groan, his face began to blush growing redder with each second that Annie choked him, his tongue rubbing and sucking, his fingers still gripping her thighs so hard that he should be leaving some bruises of his own.
"Do you want to kill me?" He said in between gasps and groans, between every break in their lips, heat flooded him his face feeling so hot both from the kiss and lack of air.
"Harder." He urged her.
"Tighter." He moaned.
Even as spots began to appear in his vision, white in the dark when his eyes were closed and black in the white when he opened them to watch her closed eyes and tip of her nose and cheek. Armin still didn't care. His need for her, to be close to her, to have her attention on him, overridden everything even the air he needed in his lungs. Nothing seemed to matter to him but Annie Leonhart and her kisses and touches.

Annie sighed gently, for a moment not understanding where he began and where she ended. His touches still felt scalding to her. A messy splatter of pulsing curiosity and overwhelming shocks of pain. Even though the room was dimly lit, every time her eyes rolled open she felt blinded by the flickering candle flame.
Tighter.
She urged herself, fingers realigning with his neck.
Compatibility just isn't something you're blessed with Annie. Tighter. Do it for Marley.
But he wanted that.
I like you Annie.
She didn't know where she began, where the voice in her head and Armin ended. Everything was a tangle of words, empty words that she couldn't place together to form any coherent meaning. Everything grew and grew until her ears were ringing so hard and loud she was sure they would be bleeding by now.
When she couldn't take it anymore. When she was using her weight to choke Armin. When his eyelids started to flutter shut and his touches weren't curious explorations but panicked hits. When she was close. So, so close. One sentence formed louder than the rest in her head.
I want to see the real Annie.
The words stopped her in her tracks, her hands loosening and she vaguely heard Armin's loud gasp of air. He sat up and she slid down, legs wrapped around him loosely as she sat on the cold tiled floor between his legs. "I'm so sorry." I want to see the real Annie, "I'm so, so sorry." I want to see the real Annie. "That wasn't me."
There was a moment of silence, where the light coming in from under the door seemed to bring his face into focus. Red, tainted lips, wide eyes, a look of innocence mashed with something much darker. Like the blue and black of his eyes.
"Armin." She whispered, grabbing his tie and slowly wrapping it around her hand before pulling on it, so he could sit much closer to her. "If you want to see the real me, you're going to have to hurt me." Annie whispered against his lips, eyes darting from his eyes down to the bruising of his neck before her head dipped down and she placed light kisses against the places in which she had just abused. Her hands slid up his arms and towards his neck. Fingers curling lightly around his neck as she had just briefly done. This time, her fingers grazed his skin lightly, bringing him forward towards her lips as her eyes slid closed and she kissed him gently.

His head was pounding. His throat felt like it was on fire. His vision was still dizzy and splotchy. Even sucking in the air left a aftertaste of bitter pain going down his stomach. He barely heard her over the ringing in his ears, his fingers clenched on the cold tiled floor, his spine hunched over his gaze unfocused until she pulled him to her and her scent began to slip under his senses, awakening his cells on a molecular level, to regenerate and focus.
As his body began to hum with heat, as the woozy feeling in his head cleared after a few seconds, his hearing came to him first catching Annie's voice like a starved man catching rain droplets with a opened mouth. Her words felt like they both stung him and cooled the raging fire from within, his gaze became clear next his eyes snagging on her swollen lips, her carefully applied gloss now staining the sides of her mouth and cheek. The sight of it strangely had him panting against her lips, that earlier violent urge to take and not stop taking coming back to haunt him.
"Annie." He sighed, tilting his head up as her fingers caressed his bruised and sensitive neck, a slight tremor taking hold of his body at every soft brush of her lips. He didn't want to hurt her, he thought distractedly but he also didn't want to disappoint her. His fingers flinched, his legs spreading out then curling once more around hers, his arms finally moving again to wrap around her back fingers splaying along her bare back, dipping under the soft material of her dress to grip her skin, raking his nails and scratching at her spine a little.
"You like pain, silly girl?" He whispered against her lips, breath low and hot, his nails digging a tad rougher growing a little sharper. He wanted to rip her dress off her, wanted to have her under him wet and willing, he wanted to hear her cries drink them up one by one until she couldn't think of anything besides him. When would he have such a chance in the future again? Today was going to change a lot of things for them moving forward, he still didn't know how she would react when she found everything out.
Or how he would feel in the end of it all.
One hand slid up, coming back into her hair, his fingers spreading out wide and grabbing a fist full against her scalp. He tugged her head up, breaking the kiss, not roughly but not kindly either, waiting till her eyes opened once more and he could see the glossy blue color before Armin bent down his teeth aching and this time he didn't stop them from growing becoming fuller and heavier, his mouth closed around her neck his canines sinking in her flesh with little resistance. He wasn't marking her, though it wouldn't be that hard for him to do with the right intention behind it, instead he was only biting her, sinking his canines slowly but deeply into her flesh closing his mouth creating a tight pressure as he sucked greedily at her blood.
That addicting strange taste filled his mouth, deepening his heat making his own beast tether on the edge as he got a taste of another. Flashes of memories spiked through his reformed brain, his eyes sparking with blue light, as one beast recognized the other.
So it was true.
Armin thought softly, drawing another mouthful of her and her Titan's blood in, his tongue rubbing and caressing the skin underneath his mouth. He shouldn't let her go. Armin knew this, knew a chance when he saw one.
Kill her. It's your job. It's what I made you to be.
His grip on her head intensified. Keeping her neck locked under his bite. As his father's voice scolded him in his head.
A Savior. A means to a end.
His suctions grew, the taste of her blood staining his mouth his tongue his teeth. She was moaning. She was crying. She was submitting. She was resisting.
No.
He wouldn't. Not towards her.
Armin let his canines shrink back, his mouth still tightly against her exposed wound, he flicked his tongue over the sensitive wound, lapping the last few streams until there were only drops, her temperature spiking hissing in his mouth as her wounds began to heal. He raised his head bringing his free hand to brush at his lips, he looked down seeing her blood smeared against his forefinger and then placed it back into his mouth, sucking the blood off before resting his eyes back on Annie's.
"I won't hurt you. You're the only one I wont hunt down. Do with that knowledge as you will Annie."

Did she like pain? No, she didn't think so. A part of her yells that she did, that she could take everything and anything because no amount of pain has ever torn her down. So did she like pain? She liked proving that she could handle it. She liked standing up at the end because no matter what she was undefeated, still.
Did she like pain? No, but that's all she knew.
She wasn't sure how to tell him this. Not when her mind and her voice seemed stoically sober at the moment. Like she had never been more herself than now. Sitting between his legs, letting out a small moan as his fingers moved up to scratch up her back. She gasped when he pulled their lips apart, greedily trying to slide forward to kiss him again. Kissing was foreign to her. As foreign as the arousal that was easier to smell with her current position.
Then slowly, all she saw was white as Armin clung to her neck.
The pain from his bite felt intensified. Annie felt sensitive and she was sure it had to do with the drug. The more she tried to fight and pull back, the worse it hurt. It felt like it lasted forever, her mind a panicked frenzy, her hands beating wildly against him to get him to stop. She was convinced he was going to kill her.
Stop. Stop, stop.
Annie pulled back and clenched her eyes shut, trembling hands flying to her neck. She curled up and pulled away from him, her Titan genes kicking in. Slower than normal, her blood turned into steam and she felt her marks tighten the skin on her face, hollow red marks forming as she used her abilities to heal herself.
She just wanted him to see who she was.
After hiding it for so long, she didn't care about the consequences at the moment, she just wanted him to see her. So his little delusional fairy tale about who she was could be shattered. Her hands moved to hide her face as she curled into herself.
He wanted to see her and she was so stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid. The feeling of rejection slammed into her like a ton of bricks. She wasn't sure where it came from or why, but she didn't like the feeling that was currently coursing through her body and with lack of anything else to do, she let out a pained laugh.
"Oh, lucky me." Her voice was strained and she was thankful that it was dark and he couldn't see the steam. She was thankful that she hid her face and didn't do anything else that was foolish and could end her life. Annie was thankful that her hair was down and it was easy to cover her markings with her hands as she slid away from him.
"This- This is so fucking weird." She let out another small laugh, then hated herself for trying to fill in the silence.

"You look so beautiful." He said in a whisper into the silence, the world outside drumming like a pulse with activity against the thick walls of the bathroom, as a constant reminder of the duty he had to do, his mission, and yet all ties to obligations and loyalties seemed to wash away on that cold tiled floor. His body hurt, his neck his lips his chest even his thighs and cock, his temperature felt high dangerously so enough that he was having a hard time to stop from letting the same reaction kick into gear in himself.
Having a lot of experience getting hurt and being sick gave him a greater resistance, had the wounds been fatal he wouldn't be able to control it then. However seeing Annie's Titan marks scarring her face, hearing the soft hiss of stream and seeing it usher away from her body like she had just descended out of the fog, made Armin flinch with the need to show her exactly what he was as well. More like her than his own packmates. The wolf within him halted any more foolish moves on his human vessel's part, watching the female titan in front of them with wary eyes.
He had allowed Armin to do with his feverish acts so that he could gain some more information on his target, find any weaknesses he could use later on when there was a higher chance of success. The wolf hadn't liked what he had seen. What he was guessing.
"It doesn't have to be." Armin continued on in that soft voice, feeling a sudden wave of anxiety and panic that he had just done something incredibly stupid. Had he ruined all chances of being with her? Why did he have to go ahead and kiss her? Bite her even? His fingers reached up, brushing against his lips feeling how swollen they still were, still feeling warm from Annie's lips, her scent was on him filling the room, he also didn't like the sudden shift in her emotions, her scent spiking with different emotions-Armin still didn't know what some of those were.
He began to get up from the floor, his head still felt woozy his balance wobbly for a second before he moved to the sink and grabbed some napkins wetting them before walking back to Annie and crouching down in front of her, she was still hiding her face with her hands and hair and very gently with his forefinger, he parted some of her hair to the side.
"Here it's cold."

The somber tone in his voice made her flinch. Did she look beautiful? Everything but, really. She didn't think he saw her markings. Thankfully, Annie felt like she came out of her stupidity in time to hide her face. So why was he calling her beautiful? She couldn't understand him, she couldn't even understand more than half of the emotions she had just gone through in the last half hour.
Despite the noises outside of the bathroom, the room sounded awfully silent as he moved around. Both of them are deep in thought, she knew this, but that didn't settle the butterflies in her stomach when Armin tried handing her the towel. She was still scared of him seeing and even though that idea would normally be extremely ridiculous to her, She felt a lump forming in her throat at the possibility of freaking him out.
Annie pulled her knees up and pressed her face into them, curling up into herself and once she was satisfied that her face was hidden, she reached for the cold towel, fingers wrapping around his wrist before sliding down his hand. She grabbed the towel and carefully covered her face, sighing happily at the coolness against her heated skin.
"Thank you, Armin." She said gently, pressing her face harder into the cool surface of the towel on her knees. Her face was heated, even more so when she thought of the fact that he was so close, and her dress was hiked around her waist, the fact that he smelled nice, and that he was just kissing her.
She hated this.
"It's weird, Armin. Weird that they would drug everyone coming through the door. I don't think it was on purpose, maybe someone spiked the drink? We should... We should get a sample." She was filling the space with useless words, slowly fitting back into the role of New Dawn Scout. "Go to the library and try to find something and call it a day."
Wait.
Everyone was drugged with some sort of version of the serum, right? Armin's reaction to it was extreme and somehow...
He's Titan compatible.
That's the only thing that made sense. All of a sudden, fear slammed into her and she blindly reached out to grab him, her face still hidden behind her knees. "We need to get out of here Armin." If he was compatible wouldn't that make him a target? "Fuck this mission. It's clear that they aren't a threat, right? I mean, they can't even throw a party without something going wrong, right? I'll take the heat from the failed mission but..."
She wanted him safe. Out. Away from Marley and what they could do to someone like him. She'd been a human when she was forced to turn into a shifter. He's a shifter. Which means that Armin wouldn't be forced to eat anyone, rather, he'd be fed to someone else. The idea of it made bile rise to the back of her throat.
He was a good person.
He didn't deserve that.
"I... Don't feel good." She finished slowly and lamely. "Please, can we... Can we just go?"

Armin had different ideas than she did, but he didn't voice them yet instead he kept watching her, still crouched down at her level the black and blue of his eyes still fighting for control over both his mind and body. He still felt drawn to her, still lusted for her, his body still felt boiling hot to the touch, his chest was still tight, his teeth still ached to taste more of her blood, the faint taste of that blood rolled around his tongue teasing him for more, yes more and more until he had everything until it was too late.
When she grabbed him, he shook himself out of the dangerous spell, refocusing on her and bringing his hands up to lightly touch the back of her hands with his fingertips. "We can try, I don't like it either it feels dangerous but Annie really, do you think they will let us go just like that? They're probably watching all the exits to ensure people don't start doing that. They haven't even made their opening speech yet, who knows where they're holding the keys and the car, this place is remote enough that even if we were to make a run for it, they could catch us and haul us back."
He brushed his fingers against her skin in a soft dance wanting to ease her frustrations, this moment he had with her inside this bathroom was the most honest they've been with one another. Her concern for him felt true, real. It made him feel good, happy even and then a bit shitty. Their secrets would kill off any kind of chance they could have, they were opposites and yet, still kindred spirits.
"We'll try though, we have enough information as it is from their shamelessly spiking the drinks. A sample would be great. Maybe I'll grab one on the way out. The water did taste funny as well." The taste was so sensitive even a regular shifter wouldn't have noticed but Armin wasn't normal and he had always been extremebely sensitive to things.
He paused, looking behind her at the door, he shifted his feet coming closer to the door and to Leonhart, his fingers slid down her arms until he was gripping her sides again, he shifted her closer to the inside and away from the door before letting go. Then he unlocked it and opened it a fraction, keeping his weight ready to push down on it if he had to. The darkness of the hallway had a eerie feeling to it now, maybe it was from Annie's change of attitude but now Armin could too feel the urgency of escaping.
Maybe they shouldn't have came at all. He should have stopped them. But that would have been too alarming in many many ways.
He didn't see the person who had made him retreat into this before they could see him, and shifted his gaze to look at the other side of the hallway half expecting to see Derek waiting for him and Annie by the wall. A breath he had been holding released at no sign of enemies, though Armin knew anything could happen between now and the ending of the day.
"It's clear, we should go now."

Armin was right.
They couldn't leave and while he secured their exit from the bathroom, she felt across the surface of her face. Finally feeling smooth cheeks without ridges and craters, Annie wasted no time in standing up and rushing to the mirror. The dim lights of the candles helped illuminate her reflection enough for her to see her smudged lip gloss and eyeliner.
Quickly, she passed her trembling fingers under her eye and then slid her palm across her cheek to pick up some of the smear of pink from her lip. She didn't have much time and she definitely didn't feel the need to put too much time into fixing her makeup when her lips still looked swollen and the blush on her face suggested that a lot more happened in the bathroom than had actually happened.
If she hadn't been so stubborn, would anything have happened?
Butterflies nibbled at her stomach and she gulped, realizing that her hyper-fixation wasn't doing her any favors. Especially since she went from obsessing about the mission to non-stop thinking about what had happened -or, well, hadn't happened- between Armin and herself.
Clearing her throat, she turned on the sink and ran her fingers through the water quickly, before shutting off the water and running her damp digits through her hair to tame the fuzziness. Then, just as quickly, she adjusted her dress on her hips and chest, then rushed to put her heels back on before meeting Armin in the hallway.
She wanted to tell him that they should split up, but the possibility of him running into someone who would be able to tell he's Titan compatible was too high. She didn't want to be near him, not with all that had just happened and the fact that she knew something was wrong but she still liked it. Maybe he said that to everyone that he went on a mission with? Adrenaline could do weird things.
How many scouts had he fucked this way? How would she talk to Magath if she didn't want Armin to be found out? But most importantly, why didn't she want Armin to be found out? That was unacceptable. Everything she was, everything she had was because of Magath and turning her back for someone who was practically a stranger spoke loudly about her insolence and lack of loyalties to the cause.
Had her time with New Dawn started getting under her skin?
Her brows furrowed and she blinked, having not realized that she'd dazed off while staring at Armin. "Um, yeah. sure." Annie quickly agreed, not knowing what she was even agreeing to or what the plan even was. Then, she stared awkwardly at the ground until he started moving.

While Annie fixed herself up at the sink, Armin slowly stood back up grabbing any fallen items that had gotten out of his pants or on his person and faithfully began placing them back to where they belonged, he ended up placing back the jacket on this time leaving it open and hanging loose, his first three buttons of his dress shirt was also open showing more of his throat and a peek at his collarbone, the color of his skin both looking pale and pinkish with a smooth look to it. His jugular beating strongly against his throat.
He caught himself staring at both himself and Annie's reflections in the large wall size mirror, she took the front of it with him lurking in the back within the shadows, the flickering light catching the color in her hair, making some strands look soft oranges and reds, the golden color to her hair burning up making her that much brighter to him.
Armin swallowed, his mouth was dry he was thirsty for her but he would have to settle for regular water. He walked over towards the double sink and bent forward, turning on the cold water and bending down even further, his eyes straying towards her side and watching whatever he could of her lazily as he drank in mouthfuls of the cooling refreshing water. There was no bitter aftertaste, though barely noticeable to those who didn't know any better in the first place, and Armin was glad they weren't that crazy to pollute the whole water supply network for the entire district just for their schemes.
He left her then, because he couldn't think when she was next to him and went into the hallway, striding out of the bathroom confidently like he had every right to be here and there was nothing wrong with the world tonight. The air felt sticky, clinging to his skin he could see smoke filling the air, smelling the many varying scents and turning towards the open dance room they had just left to watch the crowd mingle with one another, the dancing had taken a seductive theme in the time they've been away, looking more like a dance floor of the hottest club in town rather than the elegant gentleness it had been what? Ten minutes at the most ago?
The urge to flee once again filled him, and it was at that moment Annie Leonhart came walking out the bathroom door, pausing meekly by his side a faraway look in her lovely shade of blue eyes, Armin bit his tongue watching her. Armin Arlert had one job to do. It was his father's one wish. One demand. And it had everything to do with the Marley Group and now with Annie Leonhart.
What was he to do? He had started this mess just to try and complete his father's wants so he could finally be rid of it once and for all. So he didn't have to have this crushing weight and guilt within him. To get the voice out of his head. The voices. Either he would die or he would be normal and then die. It was one or the other and this girl was only supposed to be a box to check out in a line of many boxes. He should have known.
Armin should have stopped watching her the second he even had a inkling of who she was, he remembered the day too, still in the beginning the forth month since she's came to the Pack, when they've barely said two words to one another much less than be paired together for training. They were doing endurance training that month and it had been something in the way that Annie had moved had acted that made Armin unconsciously always follow with his eyes, and when she had made eye contact with him in return, he felt a fluttering within his chest bones that made his eyes retreat away to his feet.
"Okay." He agreed and went back towards the mass of people, he wasn't sure what they were doing, were they going to try and escape? Were they going to find themselves in more trouble? Will their covers be blown the moment someone who recognizes them interacts with them? Would they be forced to get down on their knees and prove their loyalties now that they knew the truth? Or that he at least knew? Would today be the day he died? Would today be the day where he wouldn't have to worry about the chains the hold his father had on him? He wouldn't have to worry about Annie either. About what to do with her. About what to do with how he was feeling for her. Maybe it would be better for everyone if today was the day Armin would be free.
He entered the floor his eyes looking around casually seeing all until he stopped and found himself staring down a familiar gaze, a slow soft smile followed the next second, before the pair of them made their way across the floor to where Annie and Armin stood waiting, their fates would be decided the moment the four of them met.
Although Armin wanted to say something to Annie, although the words tried to crawl their way out of his mouth, he stayed silent both because of the incoming company and because in the end he had no right to make any excuses to her.

Oh no.
She wasn't sure who the female was and from the looks of it, she wasn't interested in her as much as she was in Armin. Her eyes having landed on him and not parted since Annie noticed both her and Derek. Derek on the other hand was watching only her. In that sickly way he always did. As they approached his footsteps, although muted to Annie, pounded in her chest.
If he's here Magath is here.
He scares you? That's what happens when you deny someone who's so used to getting their way. When Magath promises you on a silver platter. He won't stop like Armin did. Once he lays his filthy hands on us he won't stop. You'll deserve every second of it.
Annie took a step closer to Armin, hugging herself in an attempt to cover a bit of her body from his dark gaze. But he only grinned wider at her, nudging the female next to him to walk faster. The crowd of bodies in the room helped to slow down the inevitable and when she looked up at Armin, he was as tense as she was.
"I like the color purple and ironically hate dogs." She mumbled loud enough to be heard through the music. For some reason, Derek's approach felt like the end to her. She couldn't imagine dying or leaving Armin behind without having him know something about her because she wanted that now. For him to know something.
Annie looked around, the people gathering seemed to be focused in on themselves and off to the right she could see a corridor that led to the gardens in the back. Light music coming from outside and before she knew it, she turned to face Armin, hand against her cheek to cover her mouth from being seen.
"Kiss me. Kiss me again like you mean it. Behind you, there's an opening to the garden and we can sneak off somewhere to fuck or something. There are no gates back there, a road nearby full of curious and wondering humans. We can walk or shift or-or something and camp out in town. Or... Or we can stand here and..." She didn't even know what to say.
She didn't know what to do. But Derek was getting awfully close and Annie didn't want Armin to see the way Derek was with her. It felt humiliating. How was she supposed to go back to the pack after that? How was she supposed to keep him safe now?
"Look who we have here." Derek's loud voice stood above the crowd.
