(Azalea only.)
The night she returned late to her tent she promised herself to never go out of pack land. It really wasn't worth it and she realized that the world wasn't a nice place to be in. But really, When was it ever?
The next day, she failed to keep her promise.
It wasn't like she did it on purpose, no. She went out hunting. Something she did just for sport. She wasn't going to actually hunt or kill on Angus' land, be it animal or human. But she just liked chasing things, being away from everyone. Feeling free. She didn't understand her need to be free but the chase wasn't even good enough after a couple of hours.
That's how she landed herself back in town. Sure, she was around people but she felt so much better. She was curious, she was hyper, she was-
Asumi paused and sniffed the air. She'd been mindlessly walking around town for some time now. Yet she smelled something that took her attention. The scent was weak but it lingered in the air around her. She focused on it and before she realized what she was doing.
She was climbing up a fire escape and opening the window to a random apartment. Looking down, she sighed softly as she walked into the apartment and was finally at the source of the smell. Without thinking into it, she walked around for a while before she headed to the kitchen, opening the fridge and looking for food.
"Foodies." She told herself, going through food until she found something worth eating, salami. "Food." She told herself once again as she opened the package and ate.

Ryan had intended to be gone for much longer than what he had been, that was for sure. In fact, he never intended on returning at all. After meeting Asumi last night though? He didn't know, something in him just...clicked. He finished out his stay in the motel that he was in and checked out that morning. Rather than continuing on to the next city, like he had planned, he returned to the Western Town in the Neutral territory.
Something about last night gave him a renewed sense of determination, a new drive to simply lift his middle finger in the air and say 'fuck you' to anyone who opposed him...and shoot them with the gun in his other hand. Or stab. Or hell, he might even shift to kill them. That was one of the most exhilarating things he's done in a while, and it was something that he could have been doing the entire time, that was the odd thing. She simply showed him to the side that he had willingly forgotten and something about remembering that he was what he was simply made him connect and come back that morning.
It was late afternoon by the time he arrived at his apartment complex. It was a run-down looking place. The stone work was dull, and the electric was most likely going to cause a fire one day in the near future but he didn't really care. It was home sweet home after all, and he didn't have enough things in his apartment to really care if it burnt down or not. That's simply how he lived. He had previously moved around a lot, but after he settled down in a house near by and it got shot up and then burnt down, he decided that it would be better to not live somewhere so obvious and simply lay low.
This specific apartment complex wasn't too far from the Outsider's Head Quarters, so he was pretty safe here. He could let himself get comfortable, but he didn't feel like he should. Things always seemed to pop up that made it to where he wished he would have never let his guard down. He supposed that this could be classified as one such moment, considering the fact that the man hadn't be covering his scent very well recently.
He stuck the key inside the lock and turned, but upon entering, he found that it was actually colder in here than it was in the hallway. His eyes locked on the window, narrowing at the sight of the curtains waving slightly. Ryan set his bag down on the ground before he continued further into the house, his hand moving to his gun slowly but surely. Something was in his kitchen. Or rather, someone was in his kitchen. Rather than thinking rationally and sniffing before he bothered to look, Ryan moved toward the Kitchen and peaked in.
Brown hair, sitting on his floor, his fridge open, packages of bread, cheese, and an empty bag of salami. Ryan was, to say the least, shocked beyond belief. His eyebrows shot up an he sniffed the air, wondering why someone would be so comfortable in his house. Then he realized something, it was Kitkat.
"KitKat, what are you doing here?" He asked, holstering his gun again and leaning against the doorway. He was playing it off cool but he was mentally freaking. How the hell did this girl find him? He wasn't even sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing either.

Asumi has been doing that for a while now, isolating scents. It was something she started doing since she came back from the dead, literally. She was bored and started trying to isolate animals, she didn't want to chase deer's, she wanted to chase a specific deer or a specific bunny. It was harder with smaller animals trying to sniff out their distinct smell and now that she didn't like killing on Angus' land, she decided to just mark animals and chase them. It was tedious, it was hard, but it gave her something to do.
That's why she didn't question the fact that she picked up a random scent in town and followed it. she never thought of stalking a human, but in all honesty, it wasn't much different. Human's were just animals with opposable thumbs after all.
She only planned on eating a couple of pieces of Salami then leaving back out through the opened window. But then she found the bread and cheese and that idea quickly went out the window. some time later, she was humming and rolling the bread up in a ball, she actually spaced out thinking and didn't even notice the fact that so much time had gone by, she ate more then a pound of salami, and the owner of the apartment arrived.
Hell, she didn't even hear Ryan talk she only noticed him when she saw movement out of the corner of her eye and she let out a loud scream of surprise. "Oh dear- oh my- oh shit- ha-..." She stopped talking and placed her hand over her rapidly beating heart. "W-what a-a-re you doing here!? How'd you find me!?"
She didn't like the panic in her voice so she started talking slow deep breaths trying to calm down and then it hit her. She mentally screamed at herself for not realizing that she had stalked Ryan's scent two miles and was now on his apartment floor. he didn't find her, she found him.
Shit.

Ryan wasn't exactly an easy to find, he made sure that he kept it that way. Well, he wasn't easy to find on a wolf's standards. Asumi wasn't exactly a wolf, so the standards were different. Then, after getting comfortable, his scent sort of seeped from this location like a leaking water balloon. Just trickling out to the point where it wasn't noticeable to those who lived around here, the scent was normal. The scent was expected. Ryan was completely accustom to it and wasn't really able to detect the scent himself and so, as soon as he realized this, he became more aware of the fact that she would have more easily found him. It wasn't like that the Nightstar hadn't made their home less than 10 miles away.
Ryan looked at Asumi, lifting his eyebrow as he pushed off the door and walked toward her. He was still disturbed by the fact that she had found him. Then, she said what she said and he couldn't help but smile. He knelt down, picking up the empty salami package in between his first two fingers calmly and examined it, hoping to hide his grin from her.
"KitKat, you're in my apartment, on my kitchen floor, eating all of my salami." He looked at the other package she had and waved that one around slowly. "This was an entire pound of salami. I would say you're buying more, but you're broke." He chuckled, dropping it back onto the ground and standing up again.
This girl was insane, that was for damn sure. She came in through the window, to a house that she didn't even know who owned it- based on her response at least. She then proceeded to eat the majority of the food in his fridge. He didn't have a lot of food in there that was edible. He had some eggs, pickles, but he was pretty sure that the milk was bad, the pizza was long bad. He did have hot pockets in the freezer and chips...somewhere. He just wasn't the type to eat in much. In fact, the majority of the time, he took his meals at the near by diner. It was cheap, the owners of said diner were some of the 'Baddies' around here, and the female who ran it was nothing but kind to him. Gave him a discount and everything, and not because she liked him.
Ryan moved over to the window, shutting it before looking back to Asumi. "So, any explanation available? How did you even find me here?"

It did look bad. Asumi had to even admit that to herself as she closed her eyes and sighed. Not only was she zombie-mate number one, but she was creepy stalker zombie mate number one who ate all his salami. That was a whole new level of... Well, creepy. Thankfully he wasn't taking her appearance too bad, well, not showing that he was taking it too bad and she honestly had no explanations.
"Well," She scratched the back of her neck and laughed awkwardly, "If it's any consolation at all, that was some very good salami..." She held out a second package of Salami, showing the last slice left in two pounds of it. Smiling, she took out the last piece of bread, pealed off the crust placed a slice of cheese on it and the last piece of salami. But instead of putting another slice to make a sandwich, she balled the bread with the cheese and salami inside and made a ball. She then smiled and held it out to Ryan. "Here, enjoy." She said with a smile.
She frowned at him when he reminded her that she was broke. Yes, she knew. She spend the only four dollars she had, which she found them on the floor, on a mouse toy. Now, she was broke with no home, no job, nothing. She didn't really like that. Well, she had a home soon once the pack had the land back and she didn't really care for money. But it bothered her that she had nothing to do. the tournament wasn't for a while and well... she was just buying time. which, she didn't like since she'd already died and now everyday of doing nothing made her feel odd.
So, no, she had no reason for finding him. "I didn't do it on purpose, I promise. I was... I know I shouldn't be walking too far from the pack lands and I am behaving, okay? I was bored and so I decided to isolate a scent and track it. I found a scent that was weak, very, very weak.. Like someone was trying to hide it and I followed it and I got really into it and boom? I didn't notice it was yours I promise."
Asumi got up from the floor after placing the cheese and bread in the fridge, moaning at the numb feeling on her legs. "you have a nice home. It was nice seeing you again and I should probably go." She hurried around him and walked towards the door before she stopped walking and turned to him.
He had a point, she was broke and she felt like she should do something about it. A grin popped on her face at her idea. "I have an idea, but you'll have to listen to me before you refuse it. You're hard-headed, I know that much from hanging out with you once."
Smiling she walked around the living room. "I'm broke, you're right, but I don't necessarily need the money. I do, however, need something to do..." She grinned. "Let me work for you, you have an interesting job and it seems like a couple of idiots are giving you a hard time. You can keep the money as long as I have clothing and am fed I'm fine. As a matter of fact, I can live here with you and pay rent or whatever."

Ryan pulled his curtains shut and listened to her as he reached back into his pocket to grab his cigarettes and lighter. He had the cigarette hanging in his lips as he attempted to light it. Apparently it was out of fluid though, clearly frustrating Ryan who glared at it coldly. "Damn." He walked into the kitchen and threw it into the trash before looking over at Asumi and watching what she was doing. He had his eyebrow lifted as he pulled the package out to replace the cigarette.
"What are you doing?" He asked. When she offered him the ball of bread, meat, and cheese, he simply smiled. A chuckle graced his lips as he plucked it out of her hands. "You know, this isn't how you make a sandwich." He popped it into his mouth and ate. Why not? It was food to him, and he wasn't particularly worried about germs. He knew of some people that would refuse it simply because she had her hands all over it. To him, that was a ridiculous waste.
"And for future reference, very good means a lot of money." He smiled though, not truly angry at the fact she ate...pretty much everything he ate on a daily basis. It simply gave him more of an excuse to get more food.
"Uh-huh. Sure." Like he was suppose to believe that. Still, his amused grin was on his face. If she was looking for him, why didn't she just say so? Creepy as hell but he was calming down now. He supposed on some level, he did believe her. It was simply that he refused to believe her at the current moment, maybe because she sounded so unbelievable. No one 'accidentally' found him, that was for damn sure. He supposed that there was a possibility for it though.
He began walking toward the couch in the living room, lifting his arms so that she didn't run into him as she hurried around him. He laughed slightly. She seemed flustered now, and he was the one that had his house broken into! Ryan was on the couch by the time that Asumi spoke again, he was looking around for another lighter, but he paused his search when he heard her call him hardheaded.
"Aw...Kitkat, you hurt my feelings." He grinned at her, his hair falling into his face. Regardless, he did listen, he heard her plan. He leaned back on the couch, putting his hands behind his head as listened to her. It all sounded good...until she suggested that she lived with him. Something about that struck a cord with him. He didn't want another mate, he didn't want another situation like that. He had been expecting to never see her again. Hell, he didn't expect her to remember him based off of the fact that she was high and drinking.
It was...unsettling to say the least. He wasn't stupid though, and he knew that there were more benefits to her being on his side than there were drawbacks. The simple fact that he'd have a partner in crime meant that he could easily charge more for his services. Then, on top of that, she could provide protection for his home while he was away, she would be able to hunt down jobs while he couldn't, watch his back, and they'd be able to cover more ground quickly- which could do more for his reputation. He was known to take his time with kills, that could make things go faster. These benefits couldn't be denied.
With Lupita's gang on his doorstep...it was an even more attractive offer.
"One issue, Kitkat. Where would you sleep?" He asked, lifting an eyebrow. That's when he spotted another lighter on his t.v. stand. He automatically stood and walked over to snatch it up.

Asumi frowned over at Ryan but kept talking. He didn't believe her and that much was obvious with the way he was talking. She didn't like it but she kept talking. Honestly it did sound wrong, even to her. "I tend to get carried away with things sometimes, you know? I mean, you don't know because you don't know me." She shot Ryan a sly grin before rolling her eyes and shaking her head. He didn't believe her. That much was obvious with how he talked and the damn tone of his voice. Asumi just wanted to lean forward and punch him in the face... Yeah, sudden burst of violent thought.
Seriously though, she got over that quickly and before long she was grinning as she moved to strand in front of the sofa he sat himself on. "Okay, really. Think about it." she said placing her hands in front of herself. "I didn't try finding you. I wouldn't lie. But I found you and with the way you looked at me, it was obvious that you were trying not to be found. This territory, it's full of wolves. But now you're dealing with other species and even though they are away from all of these things you do. They can find you. We," She said pointing to herself, meaning her species. "Can Find you. I can help teach you to hide it even from me."
"No one knows about NightStar. Even if people start knowing about us I doubt the people you work for would know. That information wouldn't travel so far and even if it did, the pack would move on by then. I'm a different species from you. That means I can pick up on things you can't, no offense. Hell, if you don't want me working beside you, I can watch your back. That's what we argued about, remember? wolves wanting a partner so that they can watch their backs? I'll be there. you know I will but you won't even know where even you will think you're alone. I'm good at hiding. I'm good at stalking. I love high places when everyone expects you low. I'm your own living weapon and by now if you don't see that. You're stupid, no offense."
"I can kill off your mates group. You won't have to worry about them. Like I said. I don't care about the money. I just really need two things: Clothing and food. Which, yes, will come out of your pocket at first but I'll make sure you're rewarded for it. I'll work for you so you can tell me what to do. I'm someone easily pleased Ryan. You'll realize that quickly." She paused and started laughing. "I should right speeches because damn." She commented to herself before she saw him get up and reach for the lighter.
Quickly, she grabbed it and moved it away from him. "So tell me? Deal or no deal? As for were I'll be sleeping? Easy. You can sleep on the couch." She joked before shaking her head. "Ryan, sometimes I think I'm more caracal then human." She shifted then and there quickly, holding the lighter with her teeth as she ran slowly towards the bed and jumped on it, curling up on the bottom edge before shifting back and sitting on the center of his bed with her legs crossed out in front of herself. "I can sleep as a cat, doggie."

Ryan listened to her, hearing her words and the logic behind them. She had a good point at every turn, which for some reason, was worrying him. Something told him that he should be more wary of her than what he was being. Then again, why should he be? She was offering him this chance to have a leg up in a changing market. He wasn't about ready to pass that up when his specific market entailed certain things that could easily result in his death.
Death wasn't fun, he would know that much. Anything that could help him was welcome, so, at this point, he could find many positives with few drawbacks. The drawbacks were easily covered with the other information. After all, buying her clothing and such would pay itself off. She would work for him. Ryan knew from looking at Angus' success story that investing in something was worth your time. Giving her clothing, food, weapons, a place to stay, it was all an investment into making her working habits and environment better. Or making her fat and lazy, it honestly depended, but he doubted that. She was too much of a ball of energy to sit still for too long.
That was proven by her eagerness to snatch his lighter from him before he could get to it. He couldn't help but give her this playful grin, his one eyebrow shooting up into this cocky expression that was asking her if she truly wanted to do this. He looked mischievous as he moved closer to he. Then, she shifted and an into his bedroom before he was capable of snatching the lighter out of her hands. He turned, watching as she darted into his bedroom and onto his bed.
Ryan took a few strides to the doorway, leaning against it as he watched her shift back. "So, you're wanting to share a bed with me?" He looked at her, shaking his head with a smile. "You're one crazy cat, but fine. I don't want any business with you and your catip though. Keep the other stray cats out too, if you're going to bring that shit in here. I don't want to become some cat-specific drug house and have all these cat shifters all over everything. Having it's fine by me though."
He pushed off the doorway and walked toward Asumi. He put both of his hands on the queen sized mattress and leaned forward so that he was in he face. He was still smiling though. "And another thing? Don't keep me away from my cigarettes. Bad things tend to happen if I don't get to smoke." He then attempted to pluck the thing out of her hands. "You have a deal."

"You say it as if I've never slept in the same place with another male. My tent partner is a guy, Ryan. This isn't going to be awkward." She shrugged grinning and shrugging in a way that just made her look cocky. "Besides, try something and I'll tie you to the bed and eat you alive. I promise. You keep your hands off of me and you keep your hands and your life. I'll keep my hands off of you too. If I touch you, deal's off, alright crybaby? Or do you feel uncomfortable because, well, you're lacking in some places or another?" she cocked her eyebrow and looked down at his pants suggestively.
Seriously though, she didn't understand his hesitation until the moment that he leaned down over her and accidently brushed against her side. She was his mate and his hesitation was obvious. Maybe she should be the one reconsidering her offer? she did sound oddly needy and as if she were throwing herself on him. But mentioning it would just bring forth the little hiccup. Yes, she was his mate but she wasn't going to try something. She'd already told him the truth of what she felt of the situation. She was the one that died and was reborn. She was the one that wasn't supposed to be there. Not his second mate. She was fine with that and she could only prove that with her actions.
"Seriously, you too? What's up with everyone thinking I'm addicted to catnip? I'm not addicted to the dang thing and the mouse was a complete incident." She moaned softly, leaning back and rolling her eyes. "As a matter of fact..." she said slowly bringing her face really close to his. "I think you're just being a jealous, racist, bastard." She placed both of her hands on his shoulder, ignoring the tingles and pushing him off of her and to the side so he was laying on the bed before she moved to sit on his stomach. Her legs stretched out in front of her.
"If I wanted to start a drug business I wouldn't need you to begin with right? right?" she poked his nose playfully. "Right!"
Asumi looked down at him, tapping each of his shoulders quickly. "Now that we have a deal take me shopping. Otherwise, I'll keep you from your cigarettes until you do." she said with a smile before jumping off of him and walking towards the door. "Come on slow poke, time is ticking and I want to start killing." She wanted to go out and work with him, she was eager to do so.

Ryan agreed with Asumi's little plan, but he was surprised to hear of the fact that she shared a tent with a man. He wouldn't have expected that one, but then again, just looking at her, you wouldn't have expected what they had both done last night had been partially her fault as well. She didn't look like the type of girl that would get involved in things like that honestly, but Ryan was slowly starting to realize that she was a lot more than the pretty face that she appeared to be. Then again, slow was a complete understatement. He was bitch smacked with that fact within the first hour of knowing the girl.
Odd how they'd only known each other for less than 24 hours and she was already claiming a position as his roommate.
Just to piss Asumi off, he poked her nose, smiling at her. "Don't tell me what to do." He stated before his eyebrows lifted at the idea that he was ashamed of what was down there. He took a step back, his arms out to his sides as he gestured down to his junk.
"Darling, I can show you that what I have down there is nothing to be ashamed of." He said, almost proud of the fact. He then chuckled a bit before going back to his original positioning.
Ryan would never admit it, but there were some insecurities in his life. His ability to please a woman though? That was not among them in the slightest. He was not ashamed of his parts, nor had he ever been. However, there were other manners in his sexuality that were completely closed off, even to himself, that he wouldn't admit to anyone anymore. It was too personal, too close to home, too there. He didn't even think of it most of the time.
"We think you're addicted because every time I've seen you, you've had the mouse. Grant it, that was once, but still drugs. Pulling it out in the middle of the bar and shit." He tsked softly, shaking his head. "Uncontrollable, definitely an addict." He teased her. His eyes widened as she had the nerve to flip him over so that he was now laying on his back with her no his stomach. If this were anyone other than his mate, he wouldn't exactly mind this position. Except, this was his first mate and things were a bit...off with her. He didn't want that, and he assumed she didn't want it either. So, sitting on top of him was rather awkward. "You know, you're breaking the boundaries you set." He pointed out, laughing at that as he tried to write off the tingles and such. They didn't mean anything, even if the sensation was pleasant.
"I can see racist and the bastard, but how am I jealous? What's there to be jealous of, Kitkat?" He laughed at her next actions, shaking his head. She was odd.
He sat up as she jumped off and went to the door, and something told him that this was going to be a longer day than he expected. He originally wanted to go to sleep after all, after eating. That wasn't going to happen considering the very simple fact that he had nothing to eat and he was going to have to spend all his cash from his last job to restock his fridge with more edible foods and then get her outfitted to be his partner in his work. That, and he wanted his damn cigarette already.
"Fine," he rolled his eyes, "just let me get changed. Once I do, I want my lighter." He smirked at her.

Asumi honestly didn't want to do anything with him when it came to being his mate. It seemed that way, sure, but she spoke truth when she told him that she wasn't interested in him like that. She wasn't getting in between Lupita hand him despite how messed up the situation seemed to be. Sure she was his first mate but the way she saw it, she didn't belong here. So she wasn't going to mess up something that did. She was the one that died after all. Besides, Ryan's bond with Lupita was a reminder that time just moved on and so did everything else.
"Ra-ahr." She said in a sassy tone of voice, clearly mocking him. "Don't make me put a collar on you and leash you to this bed, doggie." As a matter of fact, she liked that nickname for him. Doggie. It was rather fitting and she felt like he disserved his own nickname.
After all, he had a habit of calling her kitkat and she still had no idea what the hell that was. Maybe it was short for Kitty-Cat?
When he commented on his man body parts, Asumi laughed really hard, covering her eyes with her arm as she did so. she didn't know why but his actions and words were the funniest thing at the moment to her. "I've seen a dog get horny." She explained, laughing. "It was the most disturbing thing in the world and so... no thank you? thanks for the offer but I prefer to sleep without a series of dog penis related nightmares." She was honestly comparing his private area's to that of a dogs.
But he was half canine... So who knew what happened down there?
"I'm not addicted to drugs, stop being a dick." She said softly, pouting playfully before slapping his chest playfully. "Shit, you complain more then a little girl." She teased before getting up. He wanted to change but she wasn't allowing that. "You're fine, girly." She said with a laugh as she pulled out of the apartment. "Lead the way, doggie before I bite you."
She was bouncing up and down in excitement.
