I'm at a loss on where to put Rach's past. I don't know exactly which type to put it under. I got Chain figured out... sorta, but Closed and Open are messing with my brain. Angus... help would be nice. ~Rach

Closed is basically a single excerpt or several excerpts that are NOT connected. On these sorts of posts, others are not allowed to post comments on them. Meaning the only one posting anything there is you.
An Open thread is basically a single excerpt that you allow others to comment on. Meaning others will give their opinions about what happened and such.

I want to start when she moved packs the first time, is that alright?

Yes...? Any type is fine. You just title it Open: (Insert the title you really want), then put the story in like it was a normal RP.

When adding another Excerpt that's not really a "chain", like how Ventia and Lupita have, we can make separate excerpt threads, correct?

yes. or you could just do a Closed one where no excerpt has anything to do with another. no one would be able to comment on it though since its Closed. a Open thread from what i understand is only ONE excerpt where people can comment since its Open... if im wrong Angus should just correct me
