History: She was raised on a ranch by her father who taught her how to rope and tie animals for show. They had horses and cattle, sheep, and Lama's. For years she worked the farm with him and in their spare time they would hunt deer, badgers, elk. Pretty much any animal worth eating. She took hunting as serious as a leaf blowing in the wind, she didn't really like it though with time she became good at it. When she was twelve she woke one morning before the sun had even rose in the air. She heard the bleating of the sheep not far from the house, and gun shots. She figured it was a coyote or something bothering the sheep so she didn't even bother getting up, she knew her father would handle what ever it was. But when she heard more gun shots she sat up, moving to the window to see her father laying face first in the dirt.
A large figure ripping into his side as several others chased the sheep, she would slip out of bed to put on her clothing as quickly as possible before heading down the stairs to the gun cabinet. She would slowly move back up stairs with a rifle in hand, laying it on the bed she would put the stand up for it looking through the scope. She would aim carefully watching the separated group. The one devouring her father was large and all most human like, she narrowed her eyes aiming for its head. She would pull the slide back putting a bullet in before she would push it in with the bolt locking it. Tensing the gun against her shoulder she would aim for it again as it brought its head up she would fire, the glass shattering as the bullet made contact and zipped down hitting its skull and exploding out the other side. It exploded all most like a water melon, she would quickly slide another bullet into the chamber after pulling it back first it spiting out the first bullet slamming the new one in she would quickly go about slamming the bolt in. She was having trouble seeing as the tears kept making it hard to see, She would fire at the other two after wipe ing her eyes. winging one of them, not having enough time to load another bullet before they disappeared out of sight.
She would head down stairs slowly putting the gun down on the ground before selecting a random hand gun she would head out side slowly looking around. She kept wiping her face not being able to stop the tears, her voice whiny as she tried not to scream or cry out. She had never seen anything like it before, but when she came down she only saw another human. Was this a nightmare? She saw her fathers guts exposed and saw blood on the humans mouth that wasn't its own. She knew something was wrong with this picture, she shook before moving aside all the shock holding in last nights dinner till now. She vomited not being able to hold it in. Shaking she held the gun close listening for what she had seen through the scope. A wolf.
She sat for what seemed like hours in the house crying loudly like some child, the phone began to ring loudly making her jerk from her snoting mess. She would get up to answer it her voice shaky.
" Hello?"
Her Uncle Adam was a professional hunter, or at least that what he bragged about when coming to visit them on holidays. He voice rang over the phone, would he know?
" Hey Tessa? Whats wrong?"
She couldn't help but pull the phone away all most screaming with anger and sadness, she would drop the phone an slide down the counter. Holding her head she would just scream and cry, she wished for the shock earlier that held her together.
" Tessa? Tessa!?!!"
The sound of the phone hanging up an long buzz of the line being cutt off. She would shake hard hiting her head against the counter side. She was a mess for what seemed like hours, she heard some one come into the house she tried to find the gun quickly. It sliding across the ground as she reached for it. Adam would walk over grabbing her before she reached for it again.
" Tessa chill it is me baby girl"
He would shake her hard yanking her out of her depression, before he would pull her close an hold her as she just screamed an cried.
Adam sold the property and animals with in the next week to the county an feed lot, before he would take her to his retreat of a cabin. Where he let her sulk for a month and work through her depression, he then put her through the most stress he had ever been through besides her fathers death. He trained her to shoot an fight for five years, making her mark count and if she wasted a bullet she would go with out eating. If she didn't kill the animal on the first shot he would beat her via training, kick her ass till she couldn't stand in hand to hand combat. It left her tired and hunger most of the time but as she began to handle every thing better it lessened. At the end of five years he took her on her first hunt. Her being seventeen.
" Now I told you I was a professional hunter, well I meant it. Now I know after we discussed this you never wanted to speak on it again. But we are gonna. I hunt what you shot that day. I Hunt Werewolves. I am what you call a cheap shot hunter. I tend to get them while they are not aware. So it really takes no Skill. "
He expected her to laugh at him but she was silent in his beat up old red neck truck, she would chew on her thumb a little before she nodded. She had no idea why the were parked in a suburban home area.
" Yeah I kinda figured that when you didn't call me crazy "
She whispered softly looking at him she would sigh an run her fingers over her pant legs, they had dressed up as if they were going hunting. He was a true red neck when it came hunting and wore the whole cameo shit. She sighed wearing blending colors but nothing as one should for hunting. He sighed letting his eyes follow her as she looked back out the truck window.
" Well that is what we are going to do today, but with a little different ammo so what happened with you don't happen here. I need them to be still in the form when i take them in to get paid"
She frowned looking at him again her eyes angry, but she said nothing at first before she sighed.
" So this is were we are going to hunt, you know humans live here right?"
She said softly, before he started to laugh at her; before he would take a revolver an put silver bullets inside it.
" Well that may be true for some of them, but not all"
She looked horrified at him like he had truly lost it. But then she remembered what happened after shooting the one devouring her father. It had turned back into a human, was this really how they hide? He would get out of the truck tucking it into the back of his pants, he would hand her a set.
" put it around your neck "
He would tap his an smile before he shut the door.
" Turn it on an hold it when you want to speak to me, and follow me in the truck. Oh and dont wreck my baby she sensitive"
She rolled her eyes and didn't bother doing what he said tossing the set aside put the truck into first gear shifting it. She sighed following him as he walked down the side walk slowly pretending to look at a few of the yard sales going on. She looked bored as hell though, but her stomach twisted as she saw her uncle turn around as a woman walked by with her toddler in a stroller. She frowned seeing him stab her with something in her back. She would let out a scream and the child would cry out hearing its mother call out like that. He would look around as she began to change before Tessa's eyes, it made her heart pound out of her chest as he began to have a panic attack. He fired the bullet into the brain of the beast and chest before he would lug it to the truck throwing it in the back covering it with tarp. He cursed opening the door.
She thought every thing was happening to fast, and had no idea what the fuck really just happened at first before it truly registered.
" Scoot the fuck over!"
He would jump in the truck once she was over she went ballistic on him hitting his arm.
" What the fuck! there is a baby!!"
He would shove her a little as he took off leaving the child screaming in the stroller as his neice was beating him hard on the arm. She panicked wondering what was going to happen to the child, he would shove her again.
" Look I may be a cold bastard but I don't kill children some one will have heard the shot and come looking. Now shut up and sit the fuck down!"
She was shaking hard, she still didn't grasp it thinking they were going to go to jail. She couldn't breath till he slapped her making her calm down after he had parked.
" Now sit the fuck still "
A man sat with a group of men, he was dressed like a business man. But not the ones around him, each one having something different about their clothing. But she could tell by the vehicles and guns hanging around the racks that most were hunters. But what kind she didnt know. He shook a little as he waved them over reveal the beast. The business man laughed rubbing his hands together.
" Nice I will have this fucker stuffed another horror to had to my collection of stuffed novelties"
He would run his hand over the fur, Adam did not give two fucks what he did with the damn thing. He would get handed some money and get in the truck waiting for them to haul the damn thing out. He looked pissed as he counted the money. She didn't understand any thing at this point. As they drove away after the men had hauled it out she could only see him becoming more angry. She blinked and looked at him wondering why he was so angry, but she wouldn't say anything. She was to damn tired from all the stress, when they reached his home he would get out slamming the door. She would slowly get out of the truck, he had gone inside so quick she had only gotten out an shut the door before he shoved a bag into her hands.
" I have taught you every thing I know, And I am sure there is more out there for you to learn. I am far from the best hunter. And you still act like a child. Now leave I prefer to be alone"
He was not the same loving man that came for a week to visit with stories about the elk or moose he had shot. The stories sounding so outlandish that one would hardly ever believe them, now she saw what he most likely spoke was the truth. . But with his own little flare and flavor to them. She over the years kept looking for that man through all the training he put her through and how he had treated her. But she was aware now that he wasn't the same man ever, Or the world changed as you grew up. He would shove some cash into her hand an set her on her way.
She would go looking for trouble every where, till she set her self upon a group of hunters. They didn't boast nor did they speak about their business, they each having their own little quirk or need for doing this. Only spoken when drunk and alone in their own little group. She stayed with them learning more an becoming even more skilled with weapons not just guns. But blades as well, she had no want for staying with them more then to learn from them. One trying to force himself on to her only to meet his fate with the same blade he had taught her how to wield. She had become cold to humans, they were just as bad as anything else that fought to stay alive. Striking out on her own again had her sleeping in the woods and avoiding people all together. She knew which were shifters and which one were not. She would try avoiding them all together.

While out alone in the world away from others she had picked up a companion one that seemed to not fit with how she was going. A wolf she had come across, he had made sure to stay out of sight for the most part. Slowly become closer to her, she thought of poisoning him but decided that befriending him would better. He was young and alone, she would feed him and spend time with him. He soon relied on her to much, he didn't leave her side and often woke her with growling to find him laying next to her and people near by she had not heard from the deep sleep she had been in from not sleeping enough. They both soon depended upon each other. She had not set on having a wolf as a companion, but she told her self that the beast she hunted were not like him. They were different and that is how she rationalized their friendship.
