((I'm stating this bluntly: Join at your own risk. I cannot tell you what will happen. However, I will say that any New Dawn Pack members that are caught in this RP will not have a happy ending, so you might want to restrict it to rogues.))
"Dokoun ai-ishta,"
The wood seemed to splinter too easily to her. It splintered before the apple she threw busted...or at least that's what it looked like. She growled under her breath, punching the damn thing as she passed. At least the wood didn't give into that, but instead her hand. She felt the skin crack and the pain of the hit but she kept walking. She kept moving. Cusses and growls were murmured under her breath, making it obvious that the darling Alpha wasn't having an excellent day.
She crossed the border from the Neutral Lands into the Deadlands, knowing her target even though most other people wouldn't. She knew the faint path that she had worn into the ground on the way there, a path few others would see because few others came from that direction. If they did? They drove to the nearby town and then walked from there. She came from the other side of the mountain into the area. It was technically still her land but...she let them stay. Angus did too but they were under a heavy thumb when he was around. Now? They didn't seem to care.
Then again, their 'landlady' didn't either.
She was heading to the Underground, probably the pinnacle of how bad rogues could be. Slaves, prostitutes, drugs, illegal goods, everything that you would imagine rogues to deal in. If you were a mercenary, the majority of your business came through here before you. Any mercenary that was worth his or her weight would have ties and connections to this place, making it dangerous to anyone that didn't know the ins and outs of places like this. Trained killers around every corner. And yet...the 'prim and proper' Alpha Female of the New Dawn was here so often.
She wasn't that different from her father, regardless of her harsher stance on rogues. She hated the idea of rogues in her territory, just like she hated the idea of relying on rogues but once someone got to the brunt of it, she was rolling with the dogs constantly. She was no better than any rogue out there...but she hid it well. There were very few people that knew of her participation in what they called the pit, but those that did wouldn't open their mouths if their lives depended on it. Troy, Ryan, Jashua, they wouldn't say anything. So, Azalea had no worries.
The pit was essentially a fighting ring. Bets were placed, there were winnings given out, the general ordeal. Better rank, better prizes. To get that better rank though, you had to be damn good...And Azalea was.
She came here to 'blow off steam.' Maybe have a few drinks, but she was always one for the fights. Not to watch, no. Watching was for those without the guts to risk anything. She fought, just like she had always fought. She didn't seem to grasp the idea that she didn't have to fight anymore, so she just continued. She fought as a young child, slaughtering people who attempted to touch her in the woods. She fought as a young girl, destroying others in this very pit that she was about to enter. She fought as a teenager, slaughtering demons and elves as she fought in wars. She came back to war and she just never left the mentality.
She remembered the way around the cave entrance to the Underground like it was her own home. It was a large cavernous cave in the side of the mountain. Keep to the left side of the cave, follow all the left hand paths. When you reach what appears to be a dead end, look on the right side of the wall for the huge rock and walk behind it. There would be a set of large double metal doors, hiding there that would be easy to miss if someone simply stopped at the 'dead end'. Through those doors, someone would walk deeper into the Underground, having been greeted by the smells and the sounds of it as they walked through the barrier of metal. Further down, they would see another set of doors, guards watching here.
Said guards would always greet Azalea with a nod of a head, sometimes wary stares as they wonder what will happen today. They would only get stories of what happens inside. The true entrance of the Rogue Underground was much more 'exciting' than the first look someone would get. It was akin to walking into a giant stadium, with no sunlight to greet anyone, only artificial lights that lit up the world around them. Stalls, buildings, all filled the inside as generators ran the lights and anything else that needed it. It was a mass of talking, screaming, and the sounds of metal against metal here. The smells were akin to a mixture of death, food, and smoke- without knowing what was making the smoke.
Today was a 'light' day. Few people walked the alleys that made up this area of the Underground, but the shops and the buildings were bustling with illicit activity. A whore house to the left, a mercenary company, now devoid of members and boarded up, to the right. Farther down there were gun sales, there were slavers and dealers. Food was sold, naturally, but none of it seemed to smell right or look like it was very edible at all, but it was cheap. Alcohol, music at some areas. The main attraction to this specific Underground location? Was the pit.
Largest fighting pit on this side of the country. Finding a fighting pit in an underground was almost a guarantee- finding one of this stature was impossible. Azalea had always heard that it used to be much smaller, not as intricate, but that clearly wasn't the case now. The pit was exactly what it sounded like- a circular hole in the middle of the Underground. The side farthest to where people stood was bleachers to watch the fighting. The fight would always gravitate toward one side of the pit to ensure that they got a view- but it was always being played on a screen above the pit. On days like this, it wouldn't be used as people crowded around the railing of it. People would sometimes fight to get there when it was a good match- but that wasn't the best place. That was in the areas right outside the lower level of the pit.
The lower level, where they would actually fight. Two areas on each side of the pit weren't rock and concrete, but instead were made out of a heavy grate that kept the spectators safe from the fight. Sure, those up top could contribute to the fight by providing weaponry but those here? Got to see everything so closely. The other two sides of the pit were occupied by metal gates, where the fighters would come out of.
It wasn't ten minutes that Azalea had come in before she found herself approaching one of these gates. The original fighter turned to her, a shocked expression on his face.
"Queen?" He asked, taking his eyes of the gate. This was supposed to be a 1 vs 3 pain match. No one said anything about a second fighter on his side. To be honest, even the other contestants were kept secret.
"Eyes forward, pup." Azalea crouched down low to the ground, her eyes focused on the gate. It was kept dark on each side so that the other couldn't see them, and she knew that. And so? The moment those gates were slammed open, and she heard the metal hit the stone beside it, Azalea shot off like a vicious animal. She heard the crowd gasp but nothing was deterring her from her targets.
She didn't know if it was the fear in their eyes that she wanted to see more, or the blood that would be spattered across the ground.
