DecoiiBroad daylight and in the middle of the city was the last place where Reaver would have expected anyone to be doing anything illegal, and yet here he was following two suspects - whom he knew were guilty of their crimes - who were headed to the same place he had followed them go to for the past three days and nights. And although this current hour was unexpected and unusual, he had not let them out of his sight for a single moment, so following them had not been too much of a problem. Daylight, however, made him easy to spot, and thus he kept more of a distance than he usually did this time around, and made sure to seem as if he were busy constantly if they ever looked back in his direction, and tried his best to hide amongst large crowds of people. To spot the same people constantly wherever you went was bound to arouse suspicion. Reaver was careful, kept his eyes low and head down when he needed to and moved when he had the chance. One person was whom he was following, a man in a dark grey shirt and blue jacket. He carried a red backpack which Reaver already knew was stashed with more drugs than he could possibly imagine to be all in one place at the same time. And although Reaver knew that the drugs were there, he waited patiently, for he not only wanted to bust the mules who transported the substances, but he wanted to crack down on the joints where the goods were being delivered to and from. Get to the heart of this particular case and rid it for good. Not to mention the dozens of murders, blackmails, kidnappings, and extortion rackets that were linked to the people he was scouting out. They were dangerous folk, but then again Reaver never really had a sense for when he was in danger or not, and simply plunged head first in the fray without really thinking it through. This was one of those moments. And although Reaver was bored and his leg was starting to act up all over again, the small comfort that kept him going was thinking that if all of the work he was doing paid off, then the area would that much safer. Even if the change was nearly insignificant, change was change, and Reaver was happy to see it through. That, and with his duties around the pack, he was looking forwards to taking something of a small break from working police cases. Let them resolve their own cases for once, although he still did not trust them much because of the corruption that ran rampant through the police force of the area. Reaver simply wanted to take more time helping out Aunty Aza with the pack, the way his mother would have wanted him to do so. Walking around a corner and taking out his phone, he followed the man out from the corner of his eyes, walking besides to men and a woman whom all seemed interested in their own affiliations. They were on a narrow rode, low buildings on both sides of the street housing small businesses from ice cream shops to tiny cafe restaurants to a very small designer store where some of the most expensive and highly sought after name brands could be found. The man he followed was no more than ten paces ahead of Reaver, and at one point he turned into an alley. Reaver followed behind without hesitation, a look of determination and fearless courage sprayed on his face.

Rose was often a damn curious person. Her curiosity led her into doing mildly irrational things at time and truth be told if she were to ever be caught she'd most likely look like a crazed stalker. Rose was like a cop fresh out of the academy. Gun in pocket and trembling in anticipation for their first arrest. She -honestly after telling her mommy that she wanted to be more invested in the business- felt like a total badass and that got to her head more often then not. Most of the times it happened with her fighting but she was well trained and didn't mind fighting dirty. She had a lot to prove and if the price was her own life then she had no shame to her methods.
Regardless of all of this, Rose found herself doing other idiotic things and not finding it in herself to back away and rethink her choices and pick the obvious better option. A great example of such behavior was the current situation that was making her temple throb in a quickly approaching migraine. When she'd met innocent and attractive Reaver she had never really thought that he'd be a secret vigilante that was aiming the light a little too close to her home for comfort. granted, she'd never would have thought she'd end up sleeping with him either. Not with that cocky ass fucked up attitude of his.
The attitude had been the result of a bad day and she learned that he had a good heart and only wanted to help people. He didn't believe that people should have the power to kill each other based on others judgment and definitely not based on a paycheck. She had been offended seeing as all of his negativity hit right at home for her. After all, wasn't she a mercenary in training? Hadn't she walked into that life knowing exactly what it asked of her and had no hesitation whatsoever? Regardless, in an instant like that there should only have been two obvious choices. She'd either have to go with choice A that would require her to get rid of the threat and the information- or choice B, go to her mother and Ryan and had them deal with things themselves.
Rose picked choice 3, stalk Reaver to find out who his lead was and how much he knew exactly.
At first it wasn't so bad but more times then not she just wanted to blow her cover and smack Reaver on the head. It was a wonder his stupid ass was still alive and what she was witnessing made her roll her eyes and cover her face. She was stalking Reaver as he stalked two other people. But that was the problem! he was obviously and openly stalking them. In public it had been easier to hide it. One look around and Rose was secretly rushing behind Reaver to follow him. She was quick and silent and at least she wasn't stepping on his shadow as he has been doing to the shadow of the two that he followed.

Part of him did not even really care about the drugs to begin with, which almost made him slap himself with how stupid that must sound. But the problem was that this was linked to everything he couldn't find out about the murders. If he could see something, even overhear the littlest of conversations, then Reaver would be set. New leads, new clues to follow, a fresh start to a case he hated to stare at every morning he woke up. He was running huge gambles here though. The particular people that he had decided to follow were dangerous and he didn't have so much as a single gun placed on his hip. The one thing he had? A small tracking device but the size of a quarter with a large enough battery life to last months in constant operation. Reaver hoped this would be enough and that no confrontation would be aroused.
As soon as he turned into the alley, Reaver ducked fast behind the first dumpster he could find. Silently he swallowed, his eyes looking about before he quickly peeked back into the alley. It was long and narrow, smelt of rot and humid as a forest. The two buildings on either side cast shadows all over the alley, darkening it from the rest of the world. At the far side,a chain link fence. Reaver narrowed his eyes and watched silently as the men peeled away the fence from the bottom left corner, obviously having been cut at an earlier date, then ducked through and pulled the fence back until it looked in tampered with. On the other side of that fence was a large parking lot, the tarmac cracking with wild weeds pushing through.
Reaver walked at a brisk pace to the fence, his footsteps barely audible with the feint splash of his boots against small puddles of rain water. He pulled the fence back in the same manner he did and ducked through the small hole at the bottom left, taking in a sharp breath of air as he came through to the other side. His forearm became caught on a stray strand of metal, creating a thin deep cut from halfway to his right forearm all the way up and around his elbow. Reaver bit his lip and shook it off, it wasn't anything serious. Finally he stood back up on his feet and took a look around the parking lot. That small moment he had looked away was enough for the people he was following to disappear from his sight. He cursed softly under his breath, straightened out his back, and then took a few weary steps forwards.
Then he banked left and started to walk along the outer edge of the abandoned parking lot. There were no sounds and no movement. It bothered him, put him a little on edge. But he wasn't about to leave now. In his gut he knew that this was the place, he just had to find out where they were.
And then he would have to figure out what he would do after he found them.
Taking note of three buildings scattered around the outside of ghe parking lot, each one as decrepit as the last, began to move to the first one, cutting across the lot in plain sight.

She was kind of having fun.
Well, she was new to the game, to be honest. She had been around it the violence and all the bullshit, but she's never been alone and she's never been stalking before and it was fun. Still, she had to admit that she couldn't let the excitement get to her and she had to focus on the task at hand. IT was a bit hard to do when he wasn't going to harm her so her life wasn't in danger if she fucked up.
These heels where not made for jumping between buildings.
Sighing, she looked down at him and frowned when she saw what he was doing, walking in the open and looking at the buildings. Up ahead, she could tell that the two he had been stalking had stopped and hid. They knew, and he didn't even realize he wasn't following them anymore because they were hiding. From her spot on the ceiling of the building she could see something shine in the dark and noticed the gun.
"Reaver!" She called out in a loud whisper of warning but he didn't hear her. "Reaver." She hissed again before walking towards the fire escape and trying to get off the side of the building. She was against the shadows and took off one of her bracelets to throw it at him as she quietly sprang from step to step, struggling and tripping left and right because her heels would go through the gapes in the rotting steps. Why wasn't he paying attention, what was wrong with him. She was so angry with him at the moment that she could just slap the living shit out of him.
Could he not go anywhere un-fucking-supervised!!?

Reaver stopped halfway through and just... stared out into the open. The wind howled a bit every once in a while. Other than that it was quiet, and he still couldn't find the people he was looking for. He felt conflicted, with his gut telling him to get the hell out of there but his brain urging him to continue forwards just a tiny bit more. Just to see a little more, observe and analyze and then he could call it a day. He was in his moment, the shining spot. Every single case he had undertaken, no matter how small the crime, always had this one crucial moment; the time in which he could feel his heart sink and rise at the same time. A feeling that, just around the corner, that final clue lay hidden. The sensation that he was just about to crack the shell wide open and reveal the shining pearl that was the truth. This feeling of having done something right.
A feeling of... victory.
And how Reaver loved to win.
He stood a little taller and held himself steady. He felt ready for anything, all his untrained senses were honed in as best they could. Hell, he even had to fight back the small smirk that threatened to loom about his face. He felt so close that - His eyes quickly darted sideways, and his body instinctively took a step back. Reaver gritted his teeth, hand reaching for a weapon that was not there. Danger flowed through his veins and now everything was telling him that he had to turn and run. He didn't. Somehow he knew better than every instinct in the world. He knew better, then he heard... something. A ting, a solid object hitting another somewhere nearby, behind him. His body tensed, his left eyeball twitched a little, and a small amount of sweat began to appear around the edges of his eyes.
Reaver took a deep breath, then quickly turned his head, only to blink at the emptiness that lay before him. Not a soul moved. But he heard his name. His eyes narrowed a bit as he darted his eyes back and forth, calming his stance a bit as he finally laid eyes on an object laying near him. In two steps he was there. Kneeling, he took what looked like a bracelet in his hand, then sniffed it once- twice- and finally a third time. He bit his lower lip and looked up once more; it hadn't been there before.
A loud noise suddenly cracked against the wind, like an explosion that burst at his ears. Reaver flinched and fell sideways to the ground, rolled over his shoulder, and sprang back up on his feet. Another crack made him jump as the ground next to him exploded slightly. "Fuck!" He yelled and instinctively reached for - He froze, realized his mistake, and looked up once more in fear as one of the men he had been following moved in his direction from all the way across the parking lot. His heart was beating so hard he could hear it in his ears, and staring down the barrel of this gun gave him nightmarish flashbacks he dared not wish to relive again.
He shook his head and tried to run, though screamed and fell forwards on his hands and knees. That's, when he notices blood. His blood. And in a second instant, felt the terrible pain originating from dead centre of his left foot.

When the shot echoed across the alley, she froze on her way down to Reaver. It felt like time stood still as every echo vibrated the windows around them and then returned full force with an overwhelming kick of adrenaline and the sound of Reaver's screaming. She's been through this situation before. Dangerous, violent, and deadly. So she didn't understand what made her freeze in place but she knew that this was one of the biggest 'don'ts' there ever could be in the book.
It was because initially, she was waiting for the pain to kick in, tensed as if the bullet had hit here and it was only a matter of seconds before her mind would become white with static pain. But when it didn't settle in, her second instinct kicked in and now she wished it would have. Now, there was the possiblility of it having hit someone she cared for and that was always worst then it having hit her to begin with. Her heart was pounding and she hurried and pushed down the small ladder, rushing down before jumping the rest of the way. They could see here and she knew she was vulnerable in front of her enemy but she had to get to Reaver before his stupid ass got killed.
When she did get to him though, she could smell the blood before she could see the wound. Her anger towards him and her worry was mixing in the worst possible way and she wasn't doing anything to help the situation and get them to safety. Rose saw how open and exposed Reaver was and in order to get to him, she walked up and grabbed the back of his shirt, pulling and pushing and dragging his sorry ass until she hid his body behind a series of large trash cans. "What the hell are you thinking?" The adrenaline was still pumping in her and while she felt like screaming at him she also felt like punching him in the face.

To Reaver, it felt as if his breath had been completely knocked out of his lungs. First came the pain from his foot that forced him down to the ground. It was strong, and worst of all it was concentrated. It felt like hell and burned even worse. He could feel it more than any other person would, pain doubled, and he could almost feel the blood gushing from his wound, staining his shoe a deep and bloody red. He hated it, but what felt worst was the sudden spreading of that fire, hitting his chest so hard his breath was knocked out, leaving him reeling back as he tried over and over to gasp for breath, fill up his lungs, desperately clawing but all that came was a loud and desperate gasping for air. Over and over again. Just gasping, his lungs refusing to fill themselves with air.
He closed his eyes and felt himself begin to cry as he listed for footsteps. The two men who shot him had hidden themselves once more, in fear that he'd retaliate, buying him but a few seconds to try and recover himself, his composure, but Reaver was frozen. Or, at, he would've been frozen. He fell back, dragged by something strong, though he had no air for him to scream and holler, and had,y had the energy to fight. His injured foot painfully dragged along the ground till he was brought behind so,e trash cans, at which point he finally opened his eyes and finally took in a loud, hard, gasp of air. "F-Fuck," he exclaimed as he looked down at his foot with widened eyes. "Oh god. Oh god this can't be happening. O-oh my fucking God." Then he finally looked up and- "you!? What the hell are you doing here?!" He almost yelled, though kept his voice down through gritted teeth.
His adrenaline was now pumping and he could feel the veins on his hands throbbing hard. He blinked harder a few times and looked away, the coughed from the pain. "I'm working, what the fuck else you think I'm doing?" He almost yelled, then pulled his foot in towards himself, gasping and tearing up as he pulled off his shoe, then slowl, cautiously, peeled away a red sock that was originally white. "F-fuck!" Reaver was now trembling uncontrollably, so much blood on his foot he could not even see the bullet wound.
"Come on this way!" One of the guys said. "I think he hid towards the alley."
"Quick before the police come." They both walked towards the middle of the parking lot now, in the open, guns drawn.
"Fucking hide," cursed reaver as he tried to push Rose down so they wouldn't see her, reaching for a gun that wasn't there. He took in sharp hard breaths of air, and cursed again.

"Excuse me?" She shot through gritted teeth, obviously his words only managed to piss her the fuck off. She even took offense to when he grabbed her and pulled her roughly, to which she snatched herself away from his grip and slapped his foot in anger.
It took her a second to realize what she did.
"Fuck! Fuck, fuck! I'm sorry." She said eyes wide as she fumbled over him before she looked at her bloodied fingers. The sight of his blood made her own blood boil inside of her. "No, not sorry! You'tre a fucking idiot. What am I doing here? What are you doing here!? Are you fucking mental or just retsarded? My fucking god! You were right in the open be fucking happy it wasn't your fucking face that got shot!"
Was he seriously trying to hide now?
"It's too fucking late for that you fucking retard!" She hissed, pushing him against the wall. "They shot at you! They know where you fucking are!" She told him slowly as if he was too slow to get those small facts through his head. "So why don't yuou hide!?"

"Excused! Can't you fucking see it's dange- Argh you fuck! What the hell is wrong with you?!" Reaver had tears rolling down his eyes. He'd never been shot and the pain hurt more than a bitch. Focusing on it wasn't helping and trying to think of other things was making it worse. Rose's slap knocked the breath out of his lungs and left him reeling, doubled over himself as his body tried over and over to catch breath that wasn't there. It felt as if his foot was pulsating and every pulse was a wave of fire that started at a pin point location where he had been shot, then expanded as if the rest of his body was oil that the fire had caught up to.
He bit down on his lower lip until blood started to come, and immediately regretted it as the pain became quite literally overwhelming, dragging him to the point that he was sweating and felt exhausted. Reaver looked down. He couldn't see the wound, it was all covered in blood that wasn't healing. He wasn't healing as he should and he knew it would have happened. "There is a fucking hole in my fucking foot you bitch!" He screamed, suddenly angry, unsure why, and without a pause be blacked out from the pure and intense pain he was feeling.
"Come the fuck out!" Ordered one of the men, gun high in the air. The other slowly circled around the lot to see if he could get a better vantage on the two of them. "We know where you're hiding!"

She was terrified.
At that very moment, she had tears in her eyes and they were uncomfortably close to falling. She felt ashamed at the trembling in her hands and the panic in her gut. She felt ashamed to be known as her mother's daughter. At that very moment her mind felt white and blanked. Like it was thinking of nothing but the weight of the world had been placed on it's shoulders and it was crashing- hard.
All she could see in disturbingly sharp detail was the tone of burgundy in Reaver's blood. How it seemed to have a life of it's own as it shimmered and shined as it slivered down her hands, circled over her arm and dripped on the floor unto the dirtied concrete under her feet. At that moment, she had forgotten her name, what she did, why she was there- was she even armed with a gun?
It wasn't until she heard dead silence did she manage to snap out of her trance and see Reaver knocked unconscious on the ground besides her. She quickly grabbed him laid him as best as she could against the wall, lifting his foot with a drain that stood out against one of the building walls. Reaver... He didn't look spo well and from the constant thickness of his blood in the air, she knew he wasn't healing at all.
She couldn't help but realize that this was all her fault. Had she put a stop to the stupidity he'd been doing rather then stalked him like she had- he definitely wouldn't be in this terrible of a situation. She jumped at the sound of the male's voice, having once again forgotten that she wasn't out of the situation just yet.
She needed to act and she needed to do so quickly.
Reaver was a damn Lugo! Just knowing this small detail made her tremble once again. Not only did she have to worry about not surviving this- she had to worry about what would happen if she did. "I-I mean..." She said loud enough for them to hear her. "This isn't hide and seek - thug edition so if you truly know where I'm st then come at me!"
