"Oh, of course he would say that," Calypso snarled, getting out only "batty" and "you". "But one cannot look at a speck of dust in his neighbor's eye if there is a plank in his own." Yes, she just quoted the Bible, the text of her religion. But it was to make it a point that Jacob was crazier than she, that he judged her without even seeing that his way was completely wrong.
Her heart pounded at Smokey's next words, glancing at Raider briefly in uneasiness before looking toward Damien. She didn't want to negotiate with this man, who looked like royalty - which meant that not even the most seasoned of lawyers could negotiate with him. At least she liked to believe so. Though at his words she breathed a sigh. She's not going to die - at least not today.
The girl though, the one beside Damien, made Calypso feel sad for her. It looked like her spirit had been broken. Although her heart went out to Anya, she was also thankful Damien had turned her down.
"Mate" was what really took her aback. She knew what one was for animals, and humans had their spouses or significant others. She reasoned that being in the middle of both, shifters would have the same concept. But up until this point she hadn't given it much thought. Sure Raider was nice, and polite, and quite fetching. Was it that obvious that over the days Calypso and Raider had known each other she had acquired a crush on him? Wide-eyed, her head moved to face the anthro-wolf beside her.
Well, now he was human.
She looked down at him, though not much, since his head came to her chin while in shifted form. Her left ear flicked back and forth before she nodded. Then she walked with shaky knees back to Zoe and Lani, not shifting because her dress was all in tatters, and she didn't particularly want to let anyone see her bare.
All of a sudden, she looked down at her ring finger. Her ring, as golden as the fur covering it, still sat snugly. Though she knew that if she shifted back it was going to fall off.
"Sissy!" Zoe screeched, a bright smile on her face as she ran. Lani stayed behind, pale-faced and clutching The Prince in her hands. "You're okay!" She held out her hands, and Calypso immediately scooped her up. In this form it was quite easy to heave her up onto her hip. She was stronger as a cheetah.
"Thank you, mister!" Zoe said to Ghost over Calypso's shoulder, waving a bit before wrapping her arms around her neck. Calypso looked back at him briefly, her eyes twinkling as if to thank him for keeping her girls sane as well. Then she led Lani back to the truck. She stopped before the others, the ones that came with the three. She wished she could take all of them back with her as well, but knew she couldn't. She prayed that none of them went to Smokey, yet she couldn't help but to think that Damien was much better.
"I'm sorry," she whispered to them. Though some of them smiled, showing her that they were going to be brave. "Please don't do what I did a few seconds ago," she added, bending down to look the ones that was willing to look up in the eye. "They'll hurt you. Just like that woman did to me."
Sakina's blade didn't hurt so much as it stng though. "It's going to be all right though. Just pray." One of them hugged her, making a few tears follow the "tear tracks" on her otherwise spotted face.
After that the three girls continued on their way back to the truck.

Ghost smiled at Zoe's out burst of happiness, he would continue the auction keeping his eyes on Smokey. He found that keeping a eye on something you can control was better then looking for death to creep up on you. That is what he thought of Damien, though in truth the man didn't seem like he could hurt any one. But looks were never a tell on how a person could be, he learned that a long time ago.
e would conduct the auction for the slaves Damien had brought, he hoped the man would not return even if the money they received today was a large sum because of him. He watched them be taken back to the truck as he grit his teeth at seeing the way the younger girls where upset over being sold. He didn't know how much longer he would stay with Black ash pack, he would have to speak with Voss eventually on his thoughts and feelings. He didn't want to leave with out expressing any thing.
Raider would stare at Sakina for a long moment her lazy eyes half open staring back, they looked as if she was angry with him for interfering. He would watch Calypso move off to gather the girls and head for the truck, his anger was bubbling but he kept it in check. He had the urge to pummel Voss, but he knew to keep himself submissive to him. Following them to the truck had him letting out a sigh, he was glad to be out of the sight of the king.
He had not heard of him before, and he knew Voss knew something. He would have a nice long talk with him once they where not in danger any more. " Calypso you knew that man?" He asked once he had caught up with her and the girls. Wondering how scared Lani might be to see the shifts of so many so far, he knew she was a smart girl but somethings could scare one even of her stature.
Voss sat in the truck his fedora dipped low over his face as he rested, he had stopped watching after a while. He had decided if she made it back to the truck she could stay free of bonds, seeing her go by from under his hat had him smile a little as he waited for them to finish talking.
He had to force himself to relax or the fear he had felt would of pushed him to becoming paranoid. It was the last thing he wanted after escaping that life, he wasn't going back to it he had his own Empire to run. He laughed at the thought of him being his own king of his own paradise, that is what he thought of black ash. A save home from the past and a new future for him and his new friends, sighing he took his hat off before yawning and stretching.

"Yeah, I know him," she replied, thinking he was talking about Smokey. "Well, of him. I've never met him until today. He's my first handler's older brother." There was more to the story than the venom in her reply let on. Jacob had led her to believe that he cared for her. As in more than a benevolent master would care for his servant. Then she saw his true colors. She saw many similarities between Jacob and Atone. But there was one striking difference.
Atone was straight-forward. Blunt. Jacob was as slithery as a snake, despite his cheetah shift.
"It's in the past now." Her head was bowed, watching her feet as they moved her forward. She couldn't look at anyone, much they same way Lani couldn't look at her. "And I'm glad Smokey gave me up." Her tail swept the ground when she stopped by the back doors. She wasn't paying attention to Voss, who was in the front seat. Instead she set Zoë down so that she could figure out how to open the hatch. "I would never see the light of day again." This was followed by a little chuckle, remembering how with Voss and Raider she slept in a room with no windows. Just artificial light.
She struggled to open the door for a few moments before it finally opened. Surprisingly Lani filed in first.
"Lani, are you okay?" Calypso asked, diverting her attention from Raider.
"I am fine."
Calypso sent a questioning look Raider's way. As if to ask the meaning of Lani's attitude.

Raider would listen to Calypso but now his thoughts were on her first handler, what had made her hate him so. He had to have done somthing truely bad to have her want to kill his brother upon meeting him. He didnt know if being kidnapped surviced for that, anger yes but death? Though he knew he was not her and it had not happened to him so he could not guess what he would do.
Though he did have to admit killing him had crossed his mind briefly upon hearing the outrageous amount of money he seemed to have. He wondered how many women he held hunder his thumb to make that amount, he shook his head truely not wanting to know. He knew the things they did might seem worse; Drugs, traffiacing flesh, brawling, the list could go on. Made him think about his life and how people must veiw him, this was no better the mercenary really. He had done what he set out to do, he had made money and sent it to his family every chance he got. He no longer had to send them money, so he saved it and put it to keeping La La and Ivan out of trouble.
" Yes the past" was all he said at first kind of out of it till he heard the exchange between Lani and Calypso he would raise a brow. " Let her be, she is a human and most likely has a few things to worry about since she saw us both turn into something that she is not. Give her time" He said softly, Picking up Zoe and setting her in the back. Voss would get out of the truck slowly walking back towards the truck. " You kept a cool head Raider.
Go and speak with Anthony when you have a chance. He will put you where he thinks you fit best. " He looked to Calypso watching her, from her words she chose to protect her self. He knew she did it so because she had fear and anger about something. He was suprised that the young girls had returned, but assumed they had been purchased by some one with in his lot. " Do you want a trail? Or do you want to be shackled gaged and wrapped up in a neat little bow and placed back on auction?" He showed no emotion and looked as serious as he could be. He had no more time for this, either she was here to be apart of them or she was a slave to be bought and sold.
*~~**~~*
Damien would smirk he didnt know it would be a little exciting to actaully come here other then trying to find the mut that had left. He planned on magicly sealing him in his shift then severing his head to be mounted on his wall of trophies, this only made him smirk. It would look good next to the tiger that was moutned on his wall, he licked his lips and sniffed the air now that some of the musk had cleared. His royal eyes flicked to the young girls still sitting where the White anthro wolf had been, he narrowed his eyes and snapped his fingers.
His witch placed a small wooden seat next him with crimson cloth, kneeling next to him she would lean in so he could speak to her in private. Whispering in her ear he would smile , the close connection had her skin crawl at his words." There is a witch here other then you, at all cost I must have her. " She would nod her hair bobbing lightly at the movement. Her eyes flicking to the girls sitting across the way. " For when you grow less useful to me hmm?" It was as if his words where the key to flood gates in her eyes, trail of tears spilled out slipping down her cheeks. The end of her usefullness usually meant death for a witch. Hardly would one be passed on to another.
When his duaghter had chose to go against him he had her witch killed, no one but him had known this. Not even the one he had killed knew she was dieing because he wanted to punish his disobiedant child. Atone would sigh leaning back as his paw gently pet Sakina, he was done for the evening he thought bu wanted to see the exchange of others. It helped to see who was the most full of money, and what type of apatite they had.

Calypso looked back towards Lani, sitting in the farthest corner of the truck. Every now and then she would turn a page of the thin book she was holding, though other than that she wouldn't look at anyone. The cheetah was a tad bit confused. Lani knew she was a shifter ... it shouldn't have bothered her. She saw Zoe's shift before.
Zoe squealed a bit in glee, before giggling and running back to sit by Lani. Calypso felt a smile form on her spotted face before turning back to Voss and Raider. She watched in silence as Voss spoke to Raider, drawing her brows together and wondering who in the world is Anthony. And why because of having a cool head Raider had to go speak with him.
Was it because of that pack/family thing Voss had spoken of when they first met?
She tilted her head to the side, whiskers twitching. She expected for Voss to talk to her as well, but not as in this manner. It should have been glaringly obvious that since she was back here it did not go well. But she didn't get angry. As she spoke in that deeper, more animalistic voice, Voss should practically see the firmness in her decision. "If I go back to another auction I will end up acting like I did just a few minutes ago. I will look bad on your business just like I did with Xavier's. And no one wants that.
"If you really are giving me a choice," her words implied that she never really had a choice before. Not since Jacob, "and won't slip the rug out from under me, I'd much prefer a trial. Even if I don't know what a trial is." She opened her eyes wide, more attentive so that Voss would get the gist and explain what a trial is and what it means.
*
Sarah Ellison was fifteen years old, the fourth oldest out of all of Xavier's - well, now it's Voss's - stock. She had been walking home in her otherwise safe neighborhood, humming and chanting cheers from the basketball game the night before, when one strange man just swooped her up into a van. Seven months later, fear was her best friend and Calypso her ex-guardian.
She bore a little grudge over the fact that she took Lani and Xavier's KID with her to wherever the heck they were going. But she couldn't help it. All her life she had been picked last in everything. Even Xavier had picked her last. Her features were simple. Blonde and freckled. Poop-brown eyes. Her stomach had a pudge. Maybe she did loathe herself.
She loathed her predicament even more though.
Her parents didn't tell her about her powers because they didn't know about her powers. She had been adopted by a forty-something couple that couldn't have kids. (Oh look at that: her birth parents didn't want her.) Now they - her powers - laid dormant for lack of use. Which was ironic because all her life she wanted to be something more. More than just the girl next door. The girl that knew all the answers yet never spoke up. The girl that dreamed of the stars.
And now her fate would be in the hands with the most money.
Her heart squeezed, but she didn't have it within her to cry. She was done. Tears never got her anywhere. Then again neither did anything else. A resigned sigh escaped her lips as another gir got sold. She was one of the few left - surprise, surprise - and she was getting tired of hearing "Sold to so-and-so for this amount of money". Sarah was now to the point where she wanted to get this crap over with.

Raider would listen to Voss before nodding and climbing into the back of the truck, he knew that what was coming next did not involve him even if he wanted Calypso to stay. He listened though from sitting in the back, he kept his eyes off them though as if that would not make him stand out any more then him staring at them. Voss would listen to the girl only to smile a little," Well Calypso I can tell you what a trail is. It is a feat ; something you do in order to prove your self to the pack. See not just anyone can join Black ash. If you do not pass you lose your right to be apart of it. " He would clear his throat. " Anthony will pick your trail as well. Climb in the back and will head back to my home. Raider can take you when he goes. Until then enjoy your brief freedom. " He chuckled and held out a hand as if offering to help her up into the back. Even if she was a large cat he seemed to try and be a gentlemen none the less. His actions spoke as to him being a different man, like night and day.
~*~
When ghost was down to the last girl he would raise a brow at her, he wondered what she was doing here. To him he could not smell the witch in her, to him she smelled like a mere human. She didn't look bad she just looked out of place from the regular type of women or children that came through Voss's goods line. He would shrug his shoulder, " Last bid .." He began to speak and heard Atone speak. " I do not want her. I wont be bidding. I have what I want. " Several of Damien's goods sat beside him obediently and with out question. Damien feigned to seem uninterested waiting to see if any one else had anything to say.
Seeing a few had already run off or left, seeing Ghost frown he would smile behind his hand. " If no one else won't take her I can give a small price for her. In good faith of course." Ghost's frown only deepened upon his words but cleared his throat. " Fine. ten grand and she is yours. I have been told to sell above that price and not below. " Damien would chuckle and rise from his chair that would seem to just disappear. " Seems only fair. We would not want you in trouble with your boss, yes?" Ghost this time did not cringe but stared at him with a glare. Feeling the money placed into his hand he watched Damien walk past him as if he didn't matter.
" Well, well, what do we have here. " His lip curled into a smirk his fangs showing, he would bend down before her staring at at her eyes. " You must be muddled blood hmm?" He had never seen a common color of eyes in a witch. " Anya!" Anya would jump and move quickly to his side. " Yes Master?" She asked her hands shaking a little as she swallowed a lump in her throat. This made him smile even more as his eyes stared still into girls eyes," Get her ready to go. We return home this evening. " Anya would bow her head before answering him. " yes Master" He would return to standing normal before he would reach up and pat Anya's head leaving her to it. He would walk across the circle heading into the wood, his foot falls where silent in the leaves. Stopping not far out of view he would move his hand mouthing something which seemed to reveal a horse. His hand would gently touch the long face of it. " Hello demon" He whispered softly pressing his face against the horse.
Anya would stand there waiting for him to leave before she would seem to calm down quickly. " Hi my name is Anya. What is yours?" She smiled to her it was warm and kind. She seemed to be more alive then when around the man. As she seemed to have a giggle spill forth from her at the prospect at hearing the girls name. Ghost packed up the money before he sighed lightly before heading off his own way leaving the odd man and his lot to their own business.

Calypso wasn't surprised that there had to be a test. Voss was someone that wanted nothing but perfection, it seemed. Of course, she would love to go home, but there were so many circumstances preventing that. The way she currently looked being one of them. But freedom sounded wonderful. Knowing that she was free (even if for a small period of time) was better.
She'd choose this over being auctioned off any day. "Thank you," she said, inclining her head before taking his hand to hoist herself up. She didn't need the help, mind. But she wasn't about to come across as rude and start to get on Voss's bad side.
Calypso saw him steaming before, for Pete's sake. That was scary, and it hadn't been directed toward her then. She didn't feel like making him angry.
Her heart felt light, as she walked toward the back. She sat across the way from Raider, beside Zoë. She found herself purring, which she couldn't stop. At that moment in time, she didn't mind. She couldn't shift back to human form anyway.
*
Sarah was taken aback that she would be sold for ten grand. Until Ghost said that he couldn't go lower than that. God, not even the bidders wanted her. What was wrong with her?
Sighing again, she stood there and watched with an unreadable expression until Damien came up to her. Sarah couldn't help but to lean slightly away. The fangs scared her. The smirk was terrifying. "W-What?" Sarah asked, drawing her brows together in confusion at his words. Muddled blood? That sounded like Harry Potter series' 'mudblood'. Where a witch or wizard came from mundane families. But he seriously couldn't mean that, could he.
She winced at his yell. Her ears rang, making her lips thin into a grim line. His eyes freaked her out. With those fangs and eyes she knew he was a vampire.
She's never known anything other than humans being the dominant species. But over the weeks that she's been in the human trafficking system the girl learned that people like Damien – supernatural creatures – just let the humans believe they were on top.
Her eyes looked at Anya briefly, wondering if that's what's going to happen to her. Be scared of someone so much she'd practically pee her britches when she saw them? A chill ran down her spine just thinking of it.
She wanted adventure in her life, but not this kind of adventure.
Sarah was silent until Damien left, her fingers dancing nervously on her thigh. She did observe that Anya acted like an entirely different person when Damien wasn't around, and that Anya was quite nice. "Sarah," she said quietly, smiling a bit.

Voss smiled as she moved up into the back of the truck." You are welcome Calypos " Shutting up the door he before he made his way around to the front. He was glad to see Damien gone from sight, though it was short lived as a feeling inched up his spine. He would quickly get inside the truck and start it up, he didn't want to stick around to see if the man would pop out of no where. He hated the influence the man had with a mere look, yes Voss could intimidate well but this man could force you to be afraid with a look. Some kind of bewitchment that he never got used to, Kagome had the same effect but she could never keep a stable feeling of fear in him. He chalked it up to her father being older, all the dribble that the humans said about vampires. He didn't know what was real or make believe, backing the truck out and heading back towards the compound had him easing in worry and his paranoia.
Raider would smile upon hearing her start to purr, he leaned back trying to relax. " Be happy I am sure Anthony wont be to hard on you " He smirked. Regardless of the out come he would see to it that she was not sold. He knew that Ghost had purchased Lani and Zoe, Ghost always had a soft spot for kids. He could see why Zoe was pure adorable, though Lani seemed very wise for her age. " So Lani what will you do with your freedom?" He asked moving his eyes away from Calypso to her. He wondered what the story was with the book she had been reading. He had many books but had not remembered purchasing that one. He figured Voss had it laying around some where, his thoughts went to Lottie for a moment and he smiled. Perhaps she had some how delivered it to Lani with out her knowing. She had showed up with it mysteriously.
~*~
Anya would giggle sweetly and bounce slightly" Such a pretty name. " She would motion for her to rise and come with her. " You and I will be best of friends. Or at least I hope " Anya bubbled with happiness at the thought of having the chance to practice magic with some one other then her master. He was always impatient and she often bumbled magic she had used for years through his anger and impatience. " You will love where we are going. Not every one is like the King." She said softly, as she followed where her Master had gone. " I love fencing, have you ever done any type of sword play?" It was like she was trying to get to know her and put her at ease.
Damien would step up into the stirrup and sit into the saddle seeing Anya on her way, " So young witch do you know any spells?" He asked wondering if should give her a present to his Brother Crevan. The man never took on a witch, said they were a hindrance. He would smirk evil like for a moment at the thought of his brother not being able to refuse a gift from him. It should be amusing, he would shift on the saddle a little his hands resting on the saddle horn. " Well?" Anya would stand by the horse gently petting it, her eyes never looked into her Masters at any time.

"I didn't know that I was free," Lani said truthfully, looking up at Raider. She knew that wherever Calypso went she and Zoë would go too, but whereas Calypso was free she didn't believe that this applied to her.
Though now that she knew … her hopes grew bigger and bigger with every word she spoke after that. "Does that mean I can go back home? To India?"
"Yay!" Zoë said, clapping. "India's pretty! Lani tells me all about India."
Calypso stopped purring at the girls' outburst. She didn't say anything, for fear of accidentally spilling her doubts. But that was Lani's only wish. With her freedom she could go home. And the cheetah sincerely hoped Lani could.
"Can I go to India too? I wanna go see the …" Zoë paused struggling to find what Lani called it. "The building for that one lady! The one with the true love."
"The Taj Mahal?" Calypso asked softly.
"Yeah, that."
*
Anya made a blush rise to her cheeks – she's never been told that her name was pretty. But it was a good blush. "I'd like that," she said, smiling and thinking that maybe with Anya this wouldn't be so bad after all. She's always wanted a friend. Sure she's hung out with a few band mates, but they weren't really friends.
She tilted her head a bit. "King?" Sarah asked. "Fencing?" Even though she knew that these supernatural beings were stronger than humans, she wasn't sure of all the political things and … swordplay? "I haven't gone anywhere near a sword before."
She startled when Damien spoke, because she had been too engrossed in Anya's company. She looked up as if she was a deer caught in headlights. Now that she knew this man was a king, she couldn't see him be anything else.
"I-I'm not a witch," she replied at his prompting. "I've never done spells before. I'm human."

Raider would laugh at the girls new excitement, " If Ghost pays for you to go to India or you call your parents and arrange it yeah. Ghost was the one that bought you and Zoe. " He could not help but chuckle at Zoe's excitement the group had him full of laughter and smiles. He leaned back relaxing his eyes where half closed. " You know i have been to Moscow Kremlin and Saint Basil's Cathedral. I have seen the Taj Mahal, and been to the Great wall of china. Several other places too. To many to count really. " He smiled sighing softly missing the traveling they used to do for all the jobs they had. He had protected royalty and killed people all across the world.
He noticed that he actually missed traveling that much, though he did realize he was able to save more money then spending it. Most of his and La La's money went to her drinking, she always seemed to think his cash was hers. He chuckled at the thought, like a annoying big sister. His eyes flicked between the girls," I would imagine that Calypso might want you to stay with her. But that is up to her weather you go or not. " He whispered he was getting more tired as the truck ride went on he thought he had enough sleep last night. But it seemed he most likely tossed and turned all night, something was off he seemed always tired now.
~*~
Anya would giggle at her not knowing what swordplay was, when she mentioned not being a witch she would raise a brow. Her Master had never been wrong before about a witch, though she hardly seemed like one with her eye color. Damien shifted on the horse again with a chuckle. " You know there is a very easy way to see if you are or not. I could drink your blood. " Anya would remain silent and lower her head, Damien would laugh loudly at how they both were acting before he patted the horse. " Come, let us go home yes?" Anya would nod producing a tome from her satchel taking a quill from the bag.
Speak in a language far dead from the modern world as the letters on the page light up and floated up off it. It would form a portal, Anya would motion for her to go through to follow Damien in. As he brought the horse through the other side between pillars of a Ruin of a path from a temple, where the temple stood was a cliff where it had sunk into the ocean. The hoof beat of his horse clacked on the stone till he came to a stop waiting on the newly bought girl to walk through. Down the path turned into a dirt road and far in the fogged distance stood a large castle and rolling hills. The sky looked a light red and orange with a sun set, the large island full of his kind and more.

"Is that his name?" Zoë suddenly asked, blinking once. "Ghost? That's a weird name."
"Zoë is a weird name," Lani retaliated, pinching the girl's ear lobe. She drew her hand back, giggling at Zoë when she tried pinching her back. "Be nice. That is probably not even his real name."
Lani defended Ghost because he bought her. And Raider spoke as if Ghost would willingly let her go. Oh, how she desperately wanted to go home. To see her older sister and brother. To continue her studies. Maybe even get married.
Calypso felt as if God was smiling down on her. If only temporarily, anyway. She still had to go through that trial. She leaned her head back, feeling it loll every time the truck bumped on the road. "I only dream of going to those places," she replied, her eyes looking up at the ceiling above Raider's head. The night vision of this form helped her to see the little details of everything.
When Raider continued to speak, she closed her eyes and sighed. Of course, she would like for Lani to stay with her. But she also knew that the girl would be better off going home. She avoided looking at Lani's imploring expression. Not even when Zoë tugged on her furry arm.
Calypso knew she was feeling selfish. She had grown accustomed to her presence. Lani was her "mini me". Though if Lani couldn't handle Raider and Calypso that well she wouldn't be able to stand a whole group. Besides, just because Calypso couldn't go home doesn't mean that Lani can't.
"It's not up to me," Calypso said finally, her tongue instinctually swiping over her lip. The bristles on her tongue against the whiskers felt weird. "You have to talk to the man that saved you." Her reply made her avoid having to speak her mind, which could possibly make Lani feel guilty for going home. "But Zoë?"
"Yeah?" Calypso felt a small weight atop her thighs, which caused her to tilt her chin down to look at the little girl.
"You have to stay with me. At least until we find out where your mommy is."
The twinkle in her blue eyes dimmed, her smile turning into a frown. "I miss Mommy." Then she buried her face in the ripped folds of Sissy's dress. Her voice was muffled as she continued, "And Daddy, too."
Calypso wrapped a clawed hand gently around the back of her head, while the other brought the blanket Zoë took with her and tucked it around them. "I know."
She felt the dress be soaked with tears, yet she didn't mind. Her head raised up to face Raider. "You look tired. Get some rest."
*
Her response was immediate. "No, thank you." It was said without thought, yet filled with politeness. Then she realized what she said, causing her to blush once more. This time in embarrassment. He was a king for Pete's sake. Kings don't get told no.
She bit the inside of her cheek, hoping that she won't get beheaded or something like that.
Still upset about her blunder, she watched with interest over Anya's shoulder at what she was doing. She couldn't decipher the language she spoke, nor could she comprehend the portal that was suddenly made. Her jaw literally dropped, a faint sound of awe coming from her mouth. Yes, she was hesitant in stepping through it. But she did, feeling the air … change. Sarah didn't know what it was. She liked it though, and hoped that this was not a dream.

Raider would smile at the girls playful manner" Is real name is Davy Glenn Hatcher. He had a little girl at one point in time who no longer graces this world. He has a soft spot for the young and playful." He stretched yawning putting his hands behind his head as he watched them enjoying the rocking motion of the truck. He watched Calypso with Zoe and his eyes seemed to dim a little. Though he did not understand how a monster could have such a sweet little girl, he was not one for fighting women. He was not against defending himself no, but he was not one for beating some one for just being. He assumed that part of him was hid from her, or at least he hoped. He would have to find out if the woman came in with the rest and where she was being held, he could at least reunite those two since he could not return her father to her. Him being buried under the fresh dirt pile with the rest.
He imagined he would be half way returned to the earth by now, his eyes turned a little hallow before he closed them. " Yeah I probably should." He had not noticed the line he had crossed from hired mercenary for the weak to hired mercenary for just the money and pleasure of causing death. Ghost was not far behind the truck on his motorcycle, he in the first time in years had worn a suit. Now he wondered if the uptight fancy pants was the reason behind him being asked to dress nice. Or if there was another reason all together. He was confused about most things these days, he never question Voss's motives before. He guessed the lack of booze and more clear of a eye seeing all the children that passed through here had awakened him. He was going to give a piece of his mind to the alpha, his teeth grit in hard as he began to shake from dt's. Well as soon as the drink was out of his system of want, till then nothing but his bed was gonna help him keep from shaking apart right now.

Damien would smile as he saw Sarah step through the portal, " If i wanted your blood i would of had it already. As I said Muddled blood is no interest of me. " He might not of said it like that but it was said none the less. Once Anya stepped through the portal the purple swirled black blinked from sight. Closing the tome she would put it back in her bag along with the quill, a dark spot on her neck formed like spider black veins. Looking a little ill she would move to the side of the horse. " Master she doesn't know any better." Damien hardly ever let that be a excuse for Anya but as he had stated he wanted nothing from her. " You smell like a witch. End of discussion slave." Anya shifted slightly from the horse to walk down the road slowly. " Follow her girl." His tone was biting and bitter sounding, though he did not yell. He was going to follow the both of them and punish Anya for speak on the girls behave. He would let the darkness seep into her a little, he would not let i go on for to long he did not want her to become to ill that he could not remove it from her.
" Here you have no worth unless told you do. I am sure by the way you wallow in your own self pity that will not be a hard task for you. " Anya stiffened at his words, she knew that he was trying to make her feel even more low. Which with her fragile being of self worth would not be hard. It made her sad at his cruelness. " Master who will she be going with if not staying with us?" She had heard him state that he did not want her in the least which meant he would not keep something he did not find value in. " My brother" was all the king said his focus moving from the girl. " It is about time he had a gift from me. " Anya knew that it was more of a insult then a gift. He knew he hated magic for a few reasons, she would slow take Sarah by the hand and pull her close.

It was sad to hear that the man who bought Lani and Zoë had once had a child. No wonder why they were coming with her. She stayed awake longer than Raider had, but not by much. She waited until Zoe's tears carried her into sleep. Then Lani was next, getting a snooze before the bumps in the trip startled her awake again (Calypso blamed the fact that Lani wanted to sleep sitting up). For a few minutes after that she let her thoughts roam free. They were incoherent, touching on the subject about Xavier and the evil side that had been hidden from Zoë to contemplating how to spend her freedom demo before circumstances either made it go away or cement it.
She didn't know she fell asleep until the truck finally stopped. Calypso found herself curled around Zoë, in human form. She knew that she was in human form because of the draft blowing in through the rips of her dress. Quickly, she brushed her thumb across her ring finger. Her suspicions were confirmed when she didn't feel it on her anymore.
"Raider, you awake?" Calypso called to him, as she felt around blindly on the ground for the piece of metal. It caused Zoë to stir, and whimper a little bit. "I can't find my ring."
*
His quick, sharp words had her become pale in the face, quickly, she looked down. She interlocked her fingers, then literally twirled her thumbs. She couldn't look at them, quiet; she didn't want to overstep any boundaries, which he laid down for her clear as day.
As she walked, she watched her feet. She didn't like feet, because they looked weird and sometimes they smelled. (Hers didn't, but others did.) She couldn't help the lump in her throat. And seeing as how motions of comfort made her cry too, Anya grabbing her hand and pulling her close made it doubly hard not to cry.
So much for adventure.
Vaguely, she wondered what witches smelled like. And who this the king's brother and what was he like. But then, she depressingly thought that she'd find out soon enough. From Anya's protective reaction it seemed that his brother was just as cruel.

Raider had enjoyed his rest now matter how brief a time it might of been, he of course woke before the truck had stopped. He wondered why the girl could not see in the dark in her human form, then he realized it might be because she was organically a human. He plucked up the ring that was broke into two different pieces. " Yeah I am awake. Calm down I got it." He would reach out and grab her hand turning it over gently before he dropped the pieces into her hand. " Hold on to it. I will see if i can get it fixed for you" He would quickly turn his gaze from her seeing the tatters of her dress. Voss had stepped out of the truck as he stretched, he walked back to the back and smiled. " Hey home sweet home," He would pause seeing the situation slowly taking his jacket off. " Here " He tossed his jacket. " don't want wondering eyes yeah?"He shoved his hands in his pocket and walked away slowly.
" Hey little ones wake up its time to be free" The sound of the motorcycle engine dying not far off. Raider seemed not eager to go any where, hearing his radio go off he would turn it down. It was Voss telling the inner guards about the change in their status.

Damien would brush his hand through his hair slowly to bring it out of his face, " Well you can deliver the witch to him. I need to get back to my kingdom." Anya would look up at him the dark lines in her skin moving down further towards her heart. He would stare down at him, even as she looked up at him she still would not look into his eyes this pleased him. Sliding down off the horse stepping the ground he would grip her on the shoulder's. Her head would lean back before he would sink his teeth into her neck, her hand tightened on Sarah's hand before it let go. Her skin paled even more, as he drank from her the dark lines moved from her skin disappearing. The his pheromones would coat her blood stream before he moved back, his bite was short and sealed with his saliva. " Your punishment will be later for stalling me Anya" He climbed back up on the horse she would watch him move off quickly. She would only stagger lightly after he left. " You want to see the city before your new Master?" She smiled knowing she would already punished later on meant she was going to at least have a reason for being punished.
The city was bustling still further down, Sarah had plenty of time to decide if they would go through the city and see the bright side of a life like this one. They were still a few miles from being even near the city. She hoped that perhaps a farmer would come pick them up for a short quick ride to the outskirts. Though she had not been marked yet for tracking she didn't think it was a bright idea to send Sarah away, she thought her master would actually kill her if she did.

Relief washed through her at the feel of the ring parts dropping into her palm - "Thank you," she said - yet warmth spread across the back of her hand from Raider's fingers. She did sit up a bit so that she wouldn't feel as if her arm would pop out of the socket (as it was being pulled, even if it was gently, in an awkward angle). Though she did not realize the extent of how bad her dress was shredded. Even up until Voss opened the back she didn't know, just taht she was cold now that she was back to human form.
As the light hit her face, she winced. Then she felt confused at Voss's words until she took a glance down. Immediately her face paled before she stood Zoe up and used her as a human shield, causing the girl to protest a bit. "Hey!"
"Shh," Calypso murmured to the little one. This was so embarrassing, she thought to herself as her hand grabbed the jacket that was tossed to her. One of the reasons why she didn't shift at all. She was painfully reminded of it. "Sissy's got to cover herself."
Lani moved to Calypso's side so as to give her more cover, wiping her eyes tiredly with the heel of her hand. "I now see why you do not change."
"There's more to it than this," Calypso replied, sighing out in frustration when the zipper wouldn't zip up all the way. A few more tugs, though, and it was zipped all the way to her neck. "There. Thanks, Voss."
They all jumped down to the ground at once. Zoe literally hit the grond running to Ghost, speaking as fast as her mouth would allow about Lani and her desire to leave India. She was followed by the girl who she was talking about. Calypso stayed behind, still embarrassed but smiling at the girls' enthusiasm.
Maybe she wasn't decked out in gold and silk, but she felt like it.

Sarah finally saw the black veins moving under Anya's skin, but did no more than gasp at her shock before Damien bit Anya. A little shiver of fear went down to her core, and pressure bit at her hand. She didn't realize that she still held onto Anya before she looked down at their entwined fingers.
And just like that, Damien was gone.
'Don't freak out, don't freak out,' Sarah thought to herself. She tried forcing rational thoughts into her mind like Damien was a vampire so of course he would bite Anya. That Anya was a witch and that's why Sarah stepped through a portal. But all she could repeat to herself was "Don't freak out."
"S-sure," she said without thinking. Without even processing fully what Anya said (especially the master part). Maybe the walk would help her with getting used to her surroundings enough to ask the questions that were forming in her head beneath the mantra. "Sounds fun."
