( Jewel) Ivy kicked the dirt and watched as the dust particles curled in the air for a few moments before settling back on the ground. Knight-the Alpha of the wolf pack she raised, was sitting next to her and sniffing the air. After the talk she and Voss had a few days ago, Ivy couldn't get Fallyn out of her head and her conscience felt guilty for not telling The New Dawn about the accident. She told Voss that she was leaving and that she didn't want anyone following her. She'd be back as soon as she could and in that time, he was to take care of Jaimie-even though these days Jaimie knew how to take care of himself and trust in Ivy that she was coming back. Ivy had to do this alone. After all, this used to be her home. In her mind, when she pictured home-New Dawn was still it. In some ways, she felt like she had a duty to them. Telling them about Fallyn, well she felt like she had to. So she was here, right on the southern borderline with the wind blowing her scent straight into the pack's territory. A rogue's scent. Intruder. She's been here for almost thirty minutes now. Her scent should have already gotten someone's attention. After all, it was a perfect sunny windy day. No rain to mask the scent. No snow. Just wind and sunshine. Ivy rolled her head and felt the tension hidden there. She was stressed and yeah, she couldn't lie. Her heart was exhilarated and her palms were sweaty but she was fine. A nudged to her side made her glance at Knight and she found herself staring into those golden orbs. A calmness swept over her and she relaxed on the fallen tree, running her fingers gently down Knight's back and waiting to be hunted.

It was easy to blend in with the darkness nowadays. Thea didn't mind that part of the mutation. The darkness was now much a part of her as she was of it. It matched her soul.
Black. Bleak. Dangerous.
Yes, she was volatile at best. That was why she desperately wanted to leave the pack and Guild. Because at any given time her atoms could shake violently and her limbs would begin to bend before snapping.
Of course, it didn't hurt. Nothing hurt. The bloodied blade in her hand could attest to that. There was no telling how many times she's asked Aiolos or Gyles what her weakness was. Though each time she was lien off. They knew that if she knew she would kill herself to keep all that she held dear safe.
So leaving the would be the next best thing, right? Wrong. The Guild might take her off their roster. But the pack … well, this was a family of strangers. The Outsiders were more of a pack than the New Dawn. They wouldn't know what hapened to her if she told.
And that was a big no-no.
Her axe was embedded into the trunk of the tree. Probably she killed the poor oak. Though she couldn't be bothered. Right now, she was leaning against the tree she dug her axe in. Thea arrived not two minutes ago, the sound of wood splitting the only sign of her presence.
That is, until she spoke. "You look strangely familiar. Have we met before?"

Ivy glanced at the woman and frowned at her words. For a few seconds, she was worried that she recognized her as Katie. But Ivy forced herself to be calm. After all, her hair was still dyed red and she still had her green contacts on. There was no way she would know. And then, a memory flashed of the person in front of her.
It had taken a while to realize that this was Thea. Before at the club or bar-or whatever it was that Ivy spotted her, it had only taken a few seconds to realize that she was a old pack mate. Now? Well there was something a little different about Thea that she couldn't put her finger to it. But. She was in the New Dawn so that was all that mattered to Ivy.
Knight was on his feet and letting out a low warning growl, his ears back and his canines showing. So, it wasn't just Ivy who noticed something was aloof. Ivy laid a palm on his head and gently pet him for a second before standing.
"Yeah, we met. We drank. We danced. We flirt. And we kissed. Or at least, that's what I usually do to pretty girls back then." Ivy shrugged and nodded at the general location of New Dawn's territory.
"You're from New Dawn? I have some information that I thought you guys would like. Thea right? Are you ok? You don't look the same as you did back then, it's been a while but still." Ivy leaned down and grabbed the yellow envelop.
"Well just give this to your higher up. It's about a pack mate of yours. I know that this is random but I knew the girl and she helped me out once of twice so I felt like I had to at least do this for her. Fallyn Caine? You know her? About this high," Ivy held her hand up around Fallyn's general height, "red hair and unusual purple eyes?"
Ivy stayed silent for a few seconds, "anyway, all you guys need to know is in that envelop. So here. Take it. I don't bite. At least, not that hard." Ivy laughed uneasily, wanting to get this transaction over and done with before anyone else decided to show up from the pack. She was glad that she was dealing with Thea.
After all, they met before. So Thea knew she was a rogue and wouldn't really think she wasn't who she said she was. Someone else? Ivy didn't want to think about that.

Thea's now-icy blue eyes looked at the dog, a brow raised as if to say, "Remember who's imposing." Then at Ivy's words she turned that same look to her. "Ah. Now I remember," she said in a chuckle. But that chuckle wasn't light-hearted. It was more ominous.
She pushed herself off the tree, slipped the Swiss Army knife in her pocket, and ripped her axe out with vicious force. "I am from the New Dawn, yes," she said blandly, one hand going through the bangs of her hair. It was as if she'd rather be somewhere else. At her question, she paused for a few moments.
She didn't freak out. She didn't wonder if Ivy knew she made a deal with a demon. The question just simply took her aback. Thea didn't expect for her to ask if she was okay, because it had been a drunken night where she discovered that she was attracted to both genders.
What if Kenneth met the person that helped Thea see that? This thought made her chuckle again. Another dark sound.
"Yes, it has been a while. I've changed since then. Like any random person." She swung her axe in an upward arc before it landed on her shoulder. "Enough about me, though. What is this information?"
While Ivy explained who Fallyn was, she stared at her blankly. As if she's never heard of the chick before. She could have. She remembered coming across her mother's medical files and curiously sifting through them – purple eyes did pop out at her. But other than that, she's never met Fallyn personally before. "I see." Her free hand was held out for the file, and she took a few steps forward.
"Cute," she said, a smirk on her lips. As if she didn't take Ivy seriously. Without further word, she pulled the envelope from her hand and tucked it underneath her arm. "Much appreciated. I'll be sure to hand it to the alphas personally."

"Uh huh." Ivy hummed, though the change she sensed in Thea wasn't a normal change that someone went through after a few years. Someone only really changed because of life experiences. Something had happened to Thea. Ivy racked her head, Thea always had a edge to her but this was something different. Something-almost like a chill went down Ivy's spine. Her blood boiled, something in her wanting to attack.
Ivy rolled her shoulders, forcing the feeling to fuck off and stared at Thea. "Hm. Ok." She laughed at her words and shrugged. "I would prove myself but I'm with someone now. So, you know. I need to behave and all. Can't go around making girls wet from my teases like before." Ivy winked and ran a hand through her hair, before taking a few steps closer to Thea.
She passed the envelop, her fingers touching Thea's for a split second-in that split second Ivy blood literally burned, she snapped her hand back and shook it, stared at the finger that brushed against Thea's and watched as her finger glowed slightly white before going back to its natural pale color. Ivy frowned at Thea, knowing exactly what this meant. She swallowed hard, now realizing why her blood boiled at just being next to Thea.
Ivy laughed then and shook her head. "Looks like you really did change." She said more to herself then Thea. "Well, just make sure you give it to your alpha. I have nothing to do with this Fallyn business anymore."
"Well, I'm gonna go." Ivy clicked her tongue and started backing up, feeling instantly better once she cross over that imaginary border line even if her wolf did howl in pain. After all, she saw this as her home. New Dawn. Home. But Ivy ignored the old wolf and was about to start jogging before her good conscience made her stop and try to help out a old pack mate. Stupid. Ivy just had to have a weak spot for anything concerning The New Dawn.
So she turned and stomped right back at Thea. "You know, there's a demon essence on you. What have you've done?"

"I have someone, too. But that doesn't mean we couldn't have a bit of fun." Of course, she was only making fun. Honestly, though, with Kenneth being angry with her she wasn't sure if she would even be taken back. Of course, she was angry at him for not telling her that she was pregnant. That was enough for her not to take him back.
At this point in time, she so desperately wanted for freedom from Aiolos's hold on her. And whatever help offered she would take. Without her having to ask for it. Because Gyles would find out and report back to the demon. And she couldn't have that.
She didn't have such a strong reaction to the contact as Ivy did. In fact, she didn't flinch at all. But her eyes did catch sight of her glowing finger before they narrowed with suspicion at it. Her hand that had a hold of her axe tightened, knuckles becoming white. And not in the magical way. The blue of her eyes seemed to brighten, and she lifted her lip up in a silent show of teeth. She did it when Ivy wasn't looking at her. Then she schooled her features shortly after that.
"You do that," she said stoically before turning around and walking the way she came. Her mark from Kenneth throbbed. Or, rather, Aiolos's mark. He had marked her as property over Kenneth's show of possession, simply because of reasons unbeknownst to Thea. Maybe to see Kenneth react so violently.
So as she swung her axe to keep it as a barrier between them, with the envelope under her arm, her free hand was clutched at her neck to keep the pain at bay. Not stopping to ask Ivy how she knew - the white finger must have told her somehow - she let her teeth show again. "My business is none of your concern, rogue." She didn't put emphasis on the word "rogue". Only on the words "My" and "your". Because it wasn't Ivy's business to know that she unknowingly made a deal with a demon for the desire to see Selena walking again. "Keep walking, or I will separate your head from your neck."

Ivy chuckled and licked her lower lip, amused at her words. Not that she was considering it-last time she remembered, Thea wasn't big in touch. Ivy was and plus, Voss was amazing in bed. She didn't need anyone else. Just him. "Sorry doll face, I'll have to take a arrange check on that. Though, nice to know it's an option." Of course though she knew Thea was joking around. But it was amusing to see the change. Even if Thea was clouded by a demon.
Ivy raised a eyebrow, "Oh really? So does your pack know that you've been in contact with a fucking demon? Do they know that you're dealing with some heavy shit right there huh?" Ivy chuckled. "Oh yes. I love it when you talk dirty to me. Come on baby. Give it your best shot. Separate this pretty little head off my neck. I fucking dare you." Ivy snapped, feeling her eyes dilate under her contacts.
"But for old times sake eh? How about you tell me what the hell happened so I can try to help you. Demons are fucking on another level. I know. I've dealt with them. Or better yet, go to Azalea. I've heard rumors about her. Go to someone. But this? Whatever this is is changing you."
Ivy didn't know why she was trying to help Thea out so much. Usually she'd do what she needed to do and get the fuck out. But knowing that someone in her home pack was making deals with a devil well Ivy's natural instinct to protect was sky high. Even if the person was threatening to fight with her. Not that Ivy was afraid. She could do a good fighting session. Voss didn't like anyone touching her back at the pack so she didn't spar that often with anyone but Jaimie, Clara or Voss himself (though that was usually conducted in the bedroom).
"Seriously. Do you know what you're doing? Yeah. I'm a fucking rogue and you don't know me that much but I can help. I know people. Other species. So fuck it. I'm trying to offer my help-all you need to do is take that stick out of your ass and let me help you."

Her jaw clenched. Her heart raced. The ice-blue eyes started to look as if they were made of the cold solid. She felt the desire to shift, showing that she had already been changed - after all, the man she was now under was the demon of change. Mental and physical. Though her wolf was dead. Thea no longer had that connection. No longer had that freedom. Oh, she hated her father with a burning passion; she would rather have her snowy coat that the bristle-like fur when she was given permission to shift.
Thea was like Ivy in the topic of protection. If she could, she would become rogue. Simply because she was a hazard to be around. But Aiolos wouldn't let her. Her power and will were stripped from her. And she hated that. "What they don't know will not hurt them. As long as I behave, they'll be safe. He's already killed my child. I've learned my lesson before the deal was set in stone. And one of my rules that I have to follow is that I can't tell anyone that doesn't already know."
Her arm stayed steady as the axe was kept between them. As if they had a mind of their own her feet took a few steps to close the distance. No, at least shorten it. "I didn't know then, but I do now. And because of my idiocy I don't deserve help." But she wanted it. Her sanity (what was left of it) depended on it. She NEEDED help. "I can't accept it anyway. By the time the help would be affective half of everything I love will be gone." It was as if she was reciting from memory. Her increasingly shaky voice had a toneless sound to it. The tremors in it were the only sign of emotion from her.
"You have five seconds to step back over the boundary line."

Ivy frowned at her words-hated the sound of Thea's negative thoughts and as though there was no hope. She opened her mouth and then closed it. She really couldn't help Thea. Not if one of the rules was that Thea couldn't tell anyone. She couldn't jeopardize anything for Thea.
"Don't give up. I know someone who can help. And yes you can accept it. You won't lose anything else." She lost a kid? Thea didn't want to think about that. She loved Jaimie as her own and even the thought of losing him killed her. She didn't know how her mother handled the pain of losing one child to death and another because Elena was kidnapped. Ivy grabbed her own stomach, wondering how that could feel. To lose something that was growing inside of you. It didn't sound nice. Matter of fact, she wanted to help out Thea more now. Thea couldn't lose anything else.
"Listen, I have someone. I'll come back with her tomorrow at this-"
A gun was cocked, and a smooth voice filled the air, making Ivy's gut twist in distraught. "I'd best listen to her, rogue." Her voice was cold and distant, nothing like the motherly softness that would be directed at her. Sure, her voice was always hard but towards her? There was a certain softness that wasn't there now. It made Ivy tremble a little with shock, her eyes dilated completely even though it wouldn't be that noticeable under the green contacts. Ivy forced herself to breathe. To remember how to work her lungs. To remember how to speak.
Ivy licked her lips since suddenly her mouth went dry. Her scent changed a little, as though she was afraid. In some ways she was. But not because there was a loaded gun aimed straight for her skull. But let them think that was why she was afraid. Ivy tried to not face her way but her body couldn't stop the temptation of seeing her mother once more.
Her hair's longer... was the first thing that came to mind when Ivy stared at her mother. She was still so beautiful though. Was the next thought. She looked tired-dark circles were under her dark gray eyes. Ivy found herself smiling. Besides from the dark circles, she looked happy. Healthy. Ivy's smile widen. She probably looked crazy. Grinning wildly when there was a gun pointed at her.
But she just couldn't help it. Mom looked so...well. If there was a word for it.
"What the fuck is so funny." Ventia snapped and found herself glaring at the grinning redhead. There was something familiar about that crazed grin. Ivan Trevor flashed in her mind and she could see it. This little girl reminded Ventia of her dead mate. It angered Ventia. She angered Ventia.
"I'm giving you five seconds. Five. Four. Three. Two-"
Shit. Ivy started backing up but it was already too late. She could see the decision made in Ventia's eyes. And yet...yet she couldn't stop grinning.
"One." A loud shot rang through the forest and then a loud grunt followed shortly after. The scent of blood filled the air and suddenly Ivy clutched her thigh, blood seeping through her fingers.
"Are you crazy!" Ivy shouted and felt her heart burst at the sight of Ventia smiling. Once again like a idiot, she found herself awestruck at the sight of her mothers smile. It's been so long. Her heart clenched. Ivy wanted to touch Ventia's face. Feel her warmth once last time. Instead? She was clutching her thigh and trying to not bleed out until her skin could heal.
"That was a warning shot darling. Get." Ventia eased the gun down in its holder by her waist and folded her arms under her breasts, staring at this little girl and finding it odd that she had green eyes. Well that was because the chick had reminded her of Ivan and she always associated Ivan with those royal blue eyes. If this girl had his eyes...well maybe she would have aimed for something more vital than a flesh wound.
"I'm going." Ivy breathed. Yes. She had to go. Before her mother realized just who she was. She turned to Thea and frowned. "I'll talk with you later. Just go to the bar we met and tell the bartender you're looking for me. And I'll find you. Ok? I can help."

Lies.
All of it. Just lies. Telling her to not give up hope when there's no hope to be had when dealing with demons. Promising her that she could get out of Aiolos's hold when her ancestor couldn't do it, which resulted in a major death toll in his village.
No, just like Beale was the Beast of Gevaudan, she was the Beast of the New Dawn.
Thea shook her head a few times, resisting to chop her head off or stamp her foot like a child. In fact, she had been too engrossed in being tantalized by the prospect of freedom that she didn't hear Ventia coming up. Her body jerked in surprised, heart beating like a war drum. How long had the woman been there? How much has she heard? She hoped not anything. If she could she would pray not a single bit.
Thea was quiet for the rest of the encounter, slowly lowering her bladed weapon to just a few centimeters above the ground. A sharp intake of breath later, she held her breath; she didn't need to go loco because of Some blood.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Thea said coolly, as if she hadn't been talking about freedom. Undoubtedly Gyles might have already known and is just finding the right time to go and tattle. But Ventia … the Beta woman couldn't know. "Now go, before I finish what she started."

Ivy rolled her eyes at Thea, ignoring the warm slick blood easing out of her thigh. "Don't let yourself think that it's a end. Okay. Okay. I'm going Ms. Tough Girl." She sighed and walked backwards until she was over that imaginary pack line.
Ivy couldn't help but glance back at Ventia, whom was standing there still with her arms crossed. Her beast cried for its mother and suddenly Ivy realized that her eyes burned, tears threatening to come. It wasn't the dull pain of the bullet wound however that made her want to cry. It was leaving her mother all alone again. Jareth was on tour. She was all alone.
The realization of that hit her hard and she felt dizzy however she forced herself to keep walking backwards, letting Knight support her. It would be smarter to turn her back towards them. But Ivy couldn't. It took all of her to move her feet backwards and that wasn't because blood was running down one leg.
By the time she was far away that her sight of Thea and Ventia blurred, Ivy moved towards one of the trees, easing her body against the strong wood and feeling her knees go out below. So she sat. Knight licking at her neck and chin, whining a little at the blood on her hands and leg.
"She was my mother." Ivy whispered to Knight, gently caressing his fur, leaving red tracks of blood. "Yours was killed. Remember? I saved you? I left her. And I left her again." Ivy's eyes burned more and this time, since she was alone and far enough from the pack, she allowed those tears to come. "She looks so healthy. I'm so happy." Ivy clutched Knight to her and cried into his shoulder. A split second later she froze as a new scent was besides her.
"Crying and covered in blood. It's been a while since I've seen this combination."
"Old times sake. Go big or go home right?" Ivy laughed, rubbing her bloody hand against her face before licking her blood off her fingers.
"Hm. You were around demon energy. That's why I came. Is that silver?"
Ivy suddenly glanced down at her leg, realization hit hard. Ventia didn't carry any other kind of bullets besides silver. Ivy knew this because she would have to be rushed to the hospital if she accidentally touched one of Ventia's or Jareth's guns. "It's not burning? I don't think so...do you think it worked?"
"Let's see." Clara crouched down and before Ivy could protest, Clara dug into the hole in Ivy's flesh which only made Ivy think that it was silver if her body hasn't healed it by now. A few seconds later (and a few unladylike grunts from Ivy) and Clara bounced a bullet in her hand.
Ivy breathed hard, "it worked..."
"We won't know until we get to the lab. Shall we?" And a second later, the three of them were gone.
