It was disconcerting to hear Aiden describe her and be … accurate. To her, he was. Even the part about the darkness. Especially that. Thea didn't want to believe him; it was kind of like having a psychic try to tell her a dead loved one is trying to contact her.
"Hm," she responded, pursing her lips. From Aiden's words, to Gem's hopeful look, she knew her decision. It wasn't that hard to make. Of course, she hated to be touched. She was one of the rare wolves that did. Like with Elaine, though, she was willing to overlook her distaste for this.
It had been her dream to have a search-and-rescue organization. She wasn't about to set back a search for someone – whether it be family or not – because of a personal thing.
Because of this, there wasn't any reluctance in holding her left arm out, but there was a bit of skepticism. What was Aiden for him to tell who out of the band had been in contact with Lynn? The imperial purple eyes were more vibrant than Andy's, and like him, Thea wasn't sure that he was even a shifter. Not only that, but his accent was obviously foreign. But not of this Earth foreign. She wanted to know.
"There can only be four possibilities, Selena. I'm a bit of a recluse outside the Guild."

Aiden watched the man take the coins and knew all to well that the amount that they had given would most likely surpass their fee. Each pouch had more than one hundred grams of pure gold. Since there were three pouches, it would give a minimum of twelve thousand. Of course, Aiden had more where that came from if they truly needed more. Like he had stated before. Money was not a issue in regards to his daughter.
After all. He had a trove of his own.
But he doubted it'd come to that point.
"Like I said, only if she finds it acceptable. I can understand ones wishes to not be touched. Especially if it includes looking for a particular essence." Aiden glanced at Thea and then smiled softly at her acceptance. "Thank you. I promise, I'll do nothing else but touch your skin."
He got up from his chair, went around Gem's and moved towards Thea's outstretched left arm. "It should be easier then if you only associate yourself with less amount of people." Aiden nodded at Thea and outstretched his hand towards her wrist.
"I apologize if my temperature is a bit too warm, I'm naturally hot blooded." Aiden had forced his temperature to get to a normal degree but even so, it was hotter than the normal gent. His fingers brushed against her wrist until he closed them around her hand. His eyes were closed in concentration and immediately a pulse went through his Crest; in response his body temperature spiked a bit and then after a few moments, he stepped back.
Aiden's eyes were still closed and he was stroking his fingers as though there was something lingering on them. "It's a male's energy. Very quiet but smoothing surprising. Closed off as well. Immensely. However he's passionate about something. Something that takes him to a different state of mind. Something that he both he hides himself in and shows the reality of himself. He's like you. Loyal to those around him. However not really sociable from what I can tell. Matter of fact? He's the least bit vibrant of all the other essence trails that cling to you."
Aiden opened his gaze and turned to Gem. He didn't really say anything. Then again, he never had to. Instead he moved back to his seat and sat down. For once, there was a certainty to this trail. He could feel it. Now, it was just a matter of time and meeting Thea's friends.

Lena got a ping on her computer and checked it, it was an email from Andy telling her that the Gold, as it stood, was worth about $12,000 and Lena nodded at that. Paying the Guild depended on a lot of things for instance, it depended on: - 1) How many people are we to save/kill? =$500 for a save, $750 for a kill
- 2) How many departments/people are we going to need = The average pay per job was $200 each per day
- 3) How many days worth of resources would be needed? = Normal days resources such as food, water, electricity, etc. equalled out to $75 a day
- 4) How many weapons would be needed/used in this assignment? = Most normal assignments tallied up to a minimum of $500
- 5) Any extras, which included: lost of a life from the Guild ($15,000 minimum and depended on place in Guild and family status), specialist equipment they didn't have (however much the equipment cost), extra killings/savings they asked for ($1,000), payment was expected as soon as the Guild was finished with their job with a week leway to get money together and any extra time waiting on the money incurred a 2% interest rate per day, if the Guild was attacked in retaliation for the job they had done they the people asking for help would have to pay for half of the damages (This rarely, if ever, happened) and finally, loss of equipment (they paid for half of the new equipment and again, didn't happen).
All of this was lined out in the contract that Lena pulled out of her desk draw. She wrote down Gem and Aiden's names and that it was a saving mission and that it seemed they'd need a full team = 1 healer, 2 trackers, 2 fighters, 1 hacker, 1 translator and 1 leader, $1,600 a day although it worked really like this: - In the beginning only the trackers, hacker, translator and leader worked and if the translator wasn't needed then they finished quite quickly so the first 3-5 days normally cost $800 -$1,000 a day
- Then the trackers and the fighters with the hacker, healer and leader (sometimes translator) went to where the person was that needed saving/killing (Equalling to two days work maximum and so it was $1,400 - $1,600 a day)
- Then the healer and the leader (and sometimes the translator still if the person saved doesn't speak english) are left to work and that is for about 2 days. We fix them up enough so that if they are really bad, they can make it to a hospital. ($400 - $600) a day.
So worst case scenario, it costs $9,400 in total for 10 days (The Guild trys to aim for a week - 10 days)
Lena always quoted a week's worth of Resources, just so the people could see how much it would be ($525) and 10 days (Worst case scenario) was $750 and then the weapons ($500) and tallied it up. She quoted them on the worst case scenario always so people weren't too worried when it was more. The total was $11,150 for 10 days of work. Lena wrote all this down and the $12,000 just about covered it. Most of their jobs came to $10,000 - $11,000. If the job was going to go past 10 days, they warned the payer first to make sure that they wanted to go ahead. They always knew by the second day if the job was going to take them a longer time. "Before you touch Thea, there's the business of the contract, just so you know our costs and are sure you'd like to go ahead with this." Lena warned. She handed them the contract, copied, so that they had a copy each that they needed to sign. "You have the choice of changing who is in your team. Adding and getting rid of people. The fixed prices are obviously the cost of the saving and resources. Weapons may go up or down and if we go over 10 days we will let you know so you can decide if you'd like for us to give you what we have complied or for us to continue. We don't like to have assignments go on longer that 10 days." Lena explained. "We'd know within 2 days of starting the assignment if it was going to be a long one." She explained. "There is also a confidentiality agreement in the contract. Just states that upon leaving here you are not allowed to speak to anyone about the Guild, what's inside it, how it looks and stuff like that. Breaking that incures varying degrees of penalties depending on the information given out and the people it was given to. Even if you decide not to go ahead with us today, I'm still going to need those agreements signed." Lena asked. She looked up at Thea and smiled. Lena wanted to make sure that she was okay with this and she wanted the contract signed before they came near her cousin. Her cousin was of the Guild and so she was a team member, touching one that pertained to the case meant that the assignment had been taken up and she need legal shit sorted before things got messy. "True, seems we'll have to have a look into possible people." Lena sighed. "It's somewhere to start though." Lena offered. She watched as Aiden did his thing and touched her cousin, which she instantly regreted thinking about and made her feel creeped out. "I take it least bit vibrant means not someone she hangs out with often?" Lena asked.

Shockingly, Thea wasn't creeped out at Aiden's touch. Sure, she was curious as to what he was (Gem as well, considering she sat patiently through the whole explanation of the contract - if their positions were switched Thea would have blown up). What can he be, to pick out an essance on her so easily through touch? His warmth, though, was comforting to say the least. She found herself closing her eyes, allowing herself to relax a bit and feel the warmth heat her skin.
Hey. It was cold in most parts of the Guild.
It couldn't have been that long. Thea was sure; in the back of her mind she wondered how the woman - her biological aunt, she reminded off-handedly to herslef - sitting there and watching Aiden as if he had all the answers, could stand it if he was always burning up. Then, as he spoke, she pictured the four boys in her mind. Immediately after he said basically "keeps to himself", she smirked and erased Chase and Andy's faces. (Those boys don't know anything about personal space, she thought in amusement.) Then, she gleaned nothing else from his description. Both Jareth and Void have music that help them open up. Although ... Thea knew that Jareth knew of the Guild, and it was easier to bring this up with him than with Void. Obviously.
So she fished out her phone. "Neither of the boys I'm thinking of are social butterflies," she commented off-handedly. "But I hang out with them just as much as their friends. Anyway."
As she spoke, she opened her contacts to scroll through them. Since she saved Jareth under his mother's last name, she didn't scroll too far, and soon she had him on speaker - at least, the ringing was until he answered. If he did.

He wasn't going to wait for the woman to do her paperwork. He had gotten his permission from Thea and wasn't going to waste any seconds (or minutes since this humane world seemed to love having to sort out so much paperwork) to do so. However, Aiden did his best to wait until after her words, smiled in acceptance, and then touched the other woman.
"The contract will be signed. No worries about that. Matter of fact, we have one of our own that we'd like you to sign." Aiden said absentmindedly, sorting through the essence trails that he knew were of no use. The contract was simply stating that their relationship with the Guild would be confidential and any information that they learned of anyone belonging to their Pack and therefore Lynn since she was a daughter of two of the Pack's members would also be confidential. If any information of any of them were to be leaked out to the general public which meant the Deadlands that surrounded them, then they had their own consequences. But then again, the Guild did have a reputation of being confidential with their clients so Aiden didn't really worry so much. It was more for his Alpha needs than anything. The man didn't trust anyone. Plus, seeing as how Aiden was already using his abilities in front of them in less than a few hours, his earlier prediction of him showing his true form throughout the duration of this mission would be guaranteed. And it would be. If he needed to do so to find his daughter. But the less amount of people who knew what he was, the better. Hence. The contract.
"It's all about the confidentiality. I'm sure you already guaranteed it in your contract. All the best organizations do. But it's more security for our Pack. I'm sure you'd understand. And in some ways you're right and in some, your wrong. Being less vibrant could mean that she doesn't socialize with him often. But if that was the case, his essence trail would have dulled into nothingness among all the stronger trails, like yours Selena, or a few others I have already picked up from among the Guild. No, it's because she meets with them on a continual basis that he's able to still cling on to her. In his case, the less vibrant is his own actual essence. Think of scents. Some people have a strong scent, noticeable from across the room. Others have scents that are quiet and you'd have to get very close to be able to smell it. In the end of the day, you'd still have both scents clinging to you. A little reminder of those you've met that day. Most people would be able to detect the strong scent. Only those good enough would be able to sort through the scents and find the quiet aroma of the other person you'd be in contact with. It doesn't mean you've socialized with the stronger scented man more than the quiet one, it's just that everyone has their own differences. It's like this."
Aiden finished with his little speech and then looked to Thea who had called someone, the phone ringing once or twice before it clicked and a new reserved voice came in the line. Selena might have recognized that voice since she had heard it before at the New Dawn or recently at the party Lupita had hosted when they came back into town.
Jareth Black, son of Ventia Black who was Beta of the New Dawn Pack, and who was co-singer and guitarist of the well known band Dark Paradise, answered the phone call. He had been in the middle of training at the training room in the New Dawn's Compound and although he was covered in sweat, his voice gave nothing away to his earlier activities.
"Hey Thea. What's wrong?" Thea barely called him. Texted him sure, demanding when the band would be playing in the local bar or saying she'd wanted to hang out with the boys or even, telling him that she was outside the bar and to come out and take her to the guys. Never really called him. They weren't friends of that caliber. Hell. Jareth wasn't friends with anyone of that caliber. Katie maybe. But that was his sister and that had been a long...long time ago. Before she disappear. He shook the thought out of his head, knowing that his sister was alright because she had dropped him a gift, and then waited for Thea, both a friend and a packmate, to speak.
