(( Lupita. Set after "Gift or Curse")) Sleep was precious to Thea. It didn't do anything to alter her ever-present foul mood by any means, but it was the best place to be after spending the night with Kenneth. Jackson wasn't coming to her by dream since that night, taking away her will. Her thoughts didn't persist in making her life miserable. And she did practice and train and sweat herself to exhaustion. When Drogo walked in without a warning, he found Thea on her stomach, arms under her pillows. Next to her was Elaine, whose head was pressed against Thea's shoulderblades and her arm draped across her back. One of them was lightly snoring, but both had their backs to Drogo, so he couldn't tell which. At first, his plan was momentarily set back, and he paused to wonder what in the world was going on. Was Thea cheating on Kenneth? The air around them didn't scream "we did the dirty deed", but Thea has to see that this gave out the wrong vibe. Sighing a bit to himself, he moved to Thea side of the bed, bending slightly to tap her on the shoulder. Quickly, he brought his hand back to his side when she moved with a jerk, which in turn woke Elaine up. "Wha-" she started, moving to lie on her side. It was a slow process, because her arms were asleep and thus useless. But soon, bleary brown eyes were staring up at Drogo. "God, what is wrong with you?" she demanded. "Does someone want to join in on the fun?" Elaine purred, stretching before giving a cat-like yawn. "What?" Drogo returned, before shaking his head in disgust. "No." To Thea, he glared at her. "Are you seeing other people?" "What?" Thea stood up and glared at him. "Did you come in here just to accuse me of that? You're crazy. Brash. Rude. You're just trying to get rid of me, aren't you? Coming to my room just to pick a fight with me." She took a step forward, menacingly, all traces of sleep gone. "Well, let me break it to you. Elaine craves touch as she sleeps. It helps her. It's not just me that she goes to. So before you go running off to tattle on me from now on, stop to think of what is actually happening." She tried to push him out of her room, but he was bigger, and sadly stronger than her. All he had to do was dig his heels into the carpeted floor. To which Thea growled lowly, and Elaine held back a snicker. "Get out." "Thea, that is not what I came in here for! I apologize." That had her stopping in her tracks right there. It was the first time anyone has ever apologized to her. Really, truly apologized. She was ... shocked. "...Then what did you come in here for?" "I need your help." *** Elaine was in her shifted form, walking with a satisfactory look on her feline face as she walked with Thea to Lena's office. This time of day, she was there, shuffling around paperwork and giving out assignments. So they both walked in, and Thea went to sit on the edge of her desk and waited for Selena to look up and address her.

Lena had been avoiding everyone and had been holled up in her room and her office. She had practiced her magic and worked on her control. She was not interested in talking to anyone.
She didn't want anyone to find out that she had changed and you could see the golden magic in her because the yellow in her eyes was more pronounced now. She always had her head down now to cover her eyes.
She was yet again hiding in her office and hidden behind her computer screen, checking to make sure where the treams were and what the reports were saying. She was filing some paperwork when her door opened and her heart stopped.
She turned her chair and saw her cousin. She sighed and looked down at the papers again.
"I take it you ignored the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door for a very important reason." Lena said as she shuffled the papers. "What is it?" She asked, never looking up as she filed.

"You know I don't listen," Thea said, in a mock scolding manner. Before leaning against her hands.
She really couldn't believe that she was helping Drogo out. Maybe it was because he literally got down on his knees and pleaded. Bartered. Begged. She liked seeing someone that was more powerful than her beg for her help, she found out about herself. It was amussing to see such humiliating acts.
It was probably because she wanted to seek her vengeance on Lena and Kenneth - mostly Lena - since she helped Kenneth in her losing the bet on their spar. God, she humiliated herself for nothing. Had she known that they were in on it together, she probably would have left and never came back.
Maybe it was because Thea wasn't a bad person after all. But hey. That one was highly unlikely. But she knew that Drogo was head-over-heels for Selena, and since they got back there was a sort of tension between them. Kind of like what Kenneth and Thea had right now, it seems. So she really wasn't too concerned.
But Drogo agreed that he would stop trying to get her kicked out (that wasn't his words, exactly, but hey. That's what he was doing). So here she was.
"I need you," Thea continued. "To take me to town. 'Cause I don't have a license. And I want some stuff."

Lena rolled her eyes at the paperwork, but it was meant for Thea. Lena would not look up at her. She could not risk Thea seeing her eyes and figuring out there was something wrong with her.
Lena didn't want Thea there. She didn't want her to feel her magic. She just wanted to be left alone to get used to her magic. She was also very busy and had so much paperwork to deal with. She didn't have time to deal with her cousin's fun and games.
She pulled her magic close to her and tried to stiffle it. It did work, but only for very little. She hoped that the yellow was gone or lessened enough to be noticeable. She had a lie about the yellow already on the end of her tongue.
"Not having a licence has never stopped you before. You know how to drive. Ask Chris to make you a licence and drive yourself. I taught you myself." Lena sighed and shuffled her papers. "Anyway, I am obviously busy." Lena said as she went back to the papers.

"Yes, it has stopped me before," Thea said, frowning. What was Selena doing? She wasn't thinking about the papers, but about Selena's lack of eye contact. Thea wasn't hurt. But she was a bit miffed. She hates to speak to someone who wasn't looking at her, because it reminded her of brick walls.
"And I don't call giving me tips as you drive teaching." Elaine jumped into her lap, purring and rubbing the top of her head under Thea's chin. "Anyway, you've been obviously busy since you got back from Melinda's." She remembered Kenneth using her name in their brief conversation with each other. And she remembered the bit of unwarranted and irrational jealousy she had. She still had it, really, as if she knew that Kenneth and this Melinda chick had a history together.
"You need a break. And I need to get lady things."

Lena clicked her neck in agitation and sighed. Lena had seen Thea drive some sort of off road thing that she could have easily driven. Lena put away the papers and prayed her magic was locked away tight enough when she didn't seem different.
"Just because you weren't listening doesn't mean I didn't try." Lena sighed and stood up. She was back in top physical shape thanks to the training and the magic burning so many calories every time she used it. She was still looking down at the desk, her hair covering her eyes.
She was in a tight black tank top and bootleg denim dark blue jeans. She turned around and picked up her leather jacket and slung it on. She picked up her black sunglasses and put them on. She sighed and let her magic back out, it burning her eyes slightly. She rolled her shoulders and grabbed her car keys, purse, guild key card and turned to her cousin.
"Alright, let's get going then." Lena said as she went out the door and her high heeled boots clinked against the marble staircase as she descended to the garage. She swiped her card and the lock clicked open. She walked over to her black land rover and clicked it open before getting in. She was so glad she had her sunglasses on because when she took a quick peak at her eyes, the yellow was far too noticeable. Her magic bitched at her when she pushed it down.
She put her sunglasses back on and started the car. She hooked her horn and waited for Thea.

Thea didn't need much. When she went to the nearest big city for something, all she had was a wallet and her phone. The clutch purse she had was strictly for dressing up for unholy or otherwise deeds. Like meeting Jackson. God, that was horrible. Looking at Kenneth, who was watching her move that night she wore the dress and emerald jewelry. Jackson noticing it, making her even more uncomfortable than she had been.
Anyway, she was dressed in a pair of simple skinny jeans, her shoulder-length hair up in a messy ponytail, her phone in her right hand and her wallet in her back pocket. She walked out into the garage shortly before Lena started the vehicle, and a few seconds later plopped down on the passenger seat. She didn't bother to buckle in, but messed with the radio dial until something insteresting popped up on the stations.
Thea was surprised Selena didn't press on lady things. Usually, when there were periods involved, Thea and Selena were pretty open about them. In fact, they were practically in-sync. But Selena seemed to be in her own little world. Something that she would be soon kicked out of as soon as they got to the mall. There, Drogo waited, because that was the start of their date. A big rock-climbimg wall - the largest in a 100-mile radius.

Lena didn't say anything when Thea didn't buckle in. Since getting her magic, it had done something to her senses, obviously in her eyes, but in her other senses too. She was so much keener, leaner, working harder and because of these extra senses, she knew she could drive fast with just one hand. She hit the button for the garage door to open, moved the gear box in reverse and slammed her foot on the gas. The cars wheels spun around and shot out of the garage, leaving black lines in the linoleum - 'Kenneth was going to kill her' She smirked as she braked, switched to drive and slammed it through the two open gates that closed quickly behind her. She drove like a bored maniac down the road, narrowly missing cars, well seeming like she was, but really she was very far away and doing sharp turns, all with one hand. She slowed down a little at the main road, and by a little she means from 60 miles per hour to 40, did a quick check to make sure no one was coming and spun the wheel. Lena smirked as she drove, she was sure her cousin would be flying all over the place, but this rush was nice for Lena, it quickened her heart rate and pleased her magical side. Lena slowed down a little when they reached the city centre, no point getting pulled over and drove normally (35 miles per hour) into the underground car park of the mall.
The mall closest to the Guild wasn't huge by anyones standards and although it had the necessary shops like target, walmart and claire's, Lena would still rather shop in the main city an hour further from here. She parked up, got out of her jeep and slammed the door. Her magic was okay being underground, but this was fake underground and she could feel her magic searching for sources of the elements and when she found barely any, she picked up a water bottle and lighter she had in her car before locking it once Thea was out of it.
"Alright 15 minutes, in and out. No window shopping in claire's." Lena teased and walked over to the elevator and pushed the button to head up into the mall.

Indeed, Thea bounced around at every sharp turn Lena made. One time, at a hard stop, her head collided harshly with the dashboard.
Every protest to slow down seemed to be lost on her cousin, which only irritated Thea - as well as freak her out. No, she wasn't worried about her own life. If Selena crashed, there was a higher possibility of her surviving anyway. So much higher than the fragile humans.
And yes, she even surprised herself when she was concerned with others beside herself.
When Selena parked, Thea exhaled harshly, scowling before getting out and slamming the door shut. Her head didn't hurt anymore, but she was beyond angry. "You a**hole," she yelled to the retreating woman, but before she could say anything else the elevator opened to reveal Neil.
"Fancy meeting you here," Thea said, still angry. But Thea knew he was going to be here. "Care to join us?"
In his hand was a large bag from a sporting goods store. It made Thea curious as to what he bought. Neil wasn't much into sports, nor did he have any family beside the Guild. So why go there?
"Actually," he said, his tone sounding casual. "I'm just leaving. Full of people in there." And then he stepped out, giving Selena and Thea room to take his place.
The ride was silent and short on Thea's part, but she was thankful that when it opened, there stood Drogo with a big grin on his face.

Lena didn't say anything when her cousin smacked her head. 'Should be wearing a seatbelt.' She thought to herself. Maybe her driving would finally teach her to wear a seatbelt.
Lena just rolled her eyes at her cousins protests to slow down and she just sighed, she wasn't even going that fast. Lena didn't know why she was worried about her driving. They wouldn't die and her magic was telling her where to move and what to avoid.
"Wear a seatbelt next time." Lena yelled back. She got into the lift and when they opened, she gaped and looked between both Thea and Drogo. "What the fuck?" She asked.

Thea shrugged, indifference filling her hair as she stepped out of the elevator after Selena. "See you later." A few seconds later, her head was bent, and was lost in the crowd
When Drogo waited for Selena, he didn't know what to expect. He thought, though, that she would react this way, but he hoped that she wouldn't. He let his hopes rise too high. She definitely wasn't pleased.
His bright smile dimmed a little; none the less he stepped forward and held his hands for her to take hold, pans down as if he was trying to get an animal used to him.
"I wanted to apologize," Drogo said softly, but loud enough for Selena to hear his guilt. "For my temper earlier this week. I … planned a date for us. Or whatever you want to call it."

Selena watched her cousin walk off and she growled after her. She would get her back for this.
Yes, Lena was not happy about this sneaky backhandedness and lying. She is a kind of girl you need to lay everything out on the table in front of. Of course she was surprised and what did he really expect? For her to start jumping up and down like a giddy school girl?
Selena looked from him to his hand and sighed out her anger like a hot puff of air. She took his hands and felt the tingles like a stroke down her spine.
"You were a real jerk about the Witch and my magic." Lena huffed. "This date had better be fucking amazing. Getting me here using backhandedness and lying...not cool. You and Thea will pay." Lena warned with a playful glare. She liked that he was apologising to her and chasing after her.
