Caroline found herself staring into his eyes and smiling kindly at the danger he showed her. His shifting eyes was something made out of a form of beauty that she had no name for and she was sure anyone in their right mind would have never established such pointed eye contact with Hugh at the moment. But there was something about him that made her grind her teeth and play at the fences. If he thought she had no control, he was wrong. While, she did suffer in his hold and often times found herself feeling as if she was going insane, the fact that she didn't bare her teeth and growled at him proved enough on all the control she had.
Granted, in her attempt to stay in control she did bizarre things that would be described as losing control- but she didn't care. Hugh would have to learn to deal with her. He had, in the past. The time they made each other bleed and showed mirrored hints of their own darkness. But that was nothing in comparison to what she had inside of her. Hugh was the person she wanted to be with and she wasn't sure that there would be an end to that feeling.
Not now, maybe not ever.
But that was moving too quickly, and she had warned him of taking it slow. Mainly for her own good. She was the type of person that couldn't slow down at times -she blamed it on her damn feline- and often times things didn't end well. Hugh was something she didn't want to end at all.
Suppressing her growl and need of dominance, she watched him with the same sweet smile on her lips and tender look on her eyes. Pride swelling inside of her and this time, Hugh's masculinity wasn't the only thing in the air. Her blood, arousal, and pride swelled at filled the air with a heavy smell. She felt like a queen, she felt like she was taking the kill, powerful, strong. Dominant and victorious.
Hugh wanted her to drown in his masculinity and she was offering him something so that he himself, could drown in as well.
Caroline stepped closer to Hugh as he knelt before her, a purr leaving her lips and a dark look crossing her face as she reached for him and wrapped both of her hands in his hair. Fingers extending outwards as her palms rested each against either side of the back of his ears. Lightly feeling and exploring before her fingers curved and twisted. Grabbing strands of hair that she pulled on roughly, using her hold to manipulate the movement of his head.
Her hands twitched, tightening around his hair one more time a bit rougher as he threatened to spank her. The arousal now stronger in the air as she leaned down and forced his head back so he could look at her. "Hugh, baby, do not threaten me with a good time." She purred against his lips. "You're adorable when you're like this. Maybe I should train you into submission so I can put a leash on you and take you for a stroll around the neighborhood... In any form that I desire."
Caroline allowed him to move, as she head on to his head. Letting him rise on his feet so that she could look up at him. His beautiful face, all the small scars and details that she remembered. His scent, his presence... So much that she missed the twist and turn in her stomach was overwhelming.
At that moment, as he put all the lust and anger aside and once again concerned himself with her need for nutrition, she realized that she didn't want to run away. Not anymore, not ever. She'd been so stupid to have done so in the first place and she was sure that she'd break down into tears if she opened her mouth to apologize.
But apologies did nothing. They couldn't change anything. She'd have to make it up to him. Prove herself to him, prove that she was worth it. That she was willing to stand and fall with him.
Prove that she would never run away from him again.
Sighing against his chin, she accepted his tender kiss and purred once again. "Breakfast? To be honest it escaped my mind." Lightly, she placed her hands on his arms, rubbing tenderly up and down as she looked around the kitchen and thought out her options. To be fair, there was only one thing on her mind at the moment.
"How about Hugh?" Pausing, she grinned. "I want Hugh for breakfast... With a side of pancakes."
