(Do not hold me to the title someone told me to use it) Thea Jewel {Laina's soul} stood on the balcony of the throne room's hidden room, she stared across the land to the ocean behind the castle. Her face having the salty hair hit it, she seemed to enjoy the smell of the sea and sounds. Damien would walk up next to her looking down at her with a smile," You know it's not as odd being near you in that body. " Jewel's voice giggled as she gently backhanded his chest." Oh, stop it. It is a good break to be in this body away from my illness. I will have to return though eventually." She said with a soft disappointed sigh, she knew that jewel was close to healing her body to an acceptable level of the sickness. Damien sighed gently touching her shoulder's," You better watch it. Touching this body too much could set her mate off. " She said pulling away from him, she smiled seeing his frustration. Her hand would gently touch his chin." Just think soon enough I will back where I belong. " She stepped away from him towards the throne. The mischievous smile on her face faded when she saw the figured woman standing with the Seductress behind her, and a girl before her. " Morning My Queen. " Jewel {Laina's soul} looked around for anyone, the figure laughed. " I had them leave." she would motion for her to sit on a wooden stool far from the throne. Jewel {Laina's soul} looked a little nervous. " I do not know what you are speaking of. I am merely the healer for the...." The figure laughed as if what she was saying was very amusing. " Girl I used to bathe you in my blood when you were young. I know your soul child." The figure slowly pushed back her hood a smile adorning her face. Jewel {Laina's soul} face registered shock and then tears flooded her face, and like she was a child throwing caution to the wind for the woman's mate. She ran to her mother skipping the stool, Hellenia would gently smile to her daughter. " Shh.." was all she said to her as the woman wept loudly without care who heard. Damien, however, was quick to come out in a rush with his sword drawn. Though seeing who it was he dropped his blade after nicking himself. Hellenia would gently wave him over he shuffled like a towering child as he took them both in his arms. It was silent except for the bawling the queen was doing, even then it eventually was silent after she couldn't cry any further. The Seductress made a face most of disgust, but Tempest seemed interested in the family reunion. The group separated as Hellenia smiled," I have a student that needs to try her magic out. I heard through the servant grapevine that you were shipping them to the island?" Jewel {Laina's soul} would blink letting out a soft sigh shaking her head. "The servant's gossip way too much." She said looking to Damien. Hellenia smiled and shrugged a little." So it's true. Well, I want her to go with this group if that is alright?" Jewel {Laina's soul} Looked to Damien shrugging a little before looking to Hellenia," I don't see why not." Hellenia smiled bowing her head a little." Thank you." She would pull her aside casting a silence spell inside a shield. " Now you are to not mention a word about you not casting any spell yet. They won't let you go." Tempest merely nodded as the spell dropped and they turned to the couple" She is already packed as you can see." She had a rustic looking leather backpack along an odd looking rolled up blanket under it. Her clothes were those of adventures. She had slacks and suspenders over a shirt along with a jacket that she had tied to the pack's part that was close to her back. " I will be back to speak more with you. But I am going to drop her at the harbor. " ~*~*~*~*~*~* Anya let out a sigh as she blew out the candles in her room, the only glow that was left was the amethyst ornament she could attach to a weapon. She would pick it up using it as a light, as she donned her pack heading out of the door, she would walk down the hall exiting through a servant doorway of the castle heading down the steps. She could smell the freshly baked bread of the market, her mouth began to water as she moved towards the store. She would pull out two loaves of bread that could stand a while without spoiling. She then moved to the counter," Can I get that buttered goodness." The shop keeper chuckled as he packed her a few in a paper packet wrapped in twine. She would pack both packages in her backpack. Stepping out of the store she took a deep breath through her nose and headed on, she was told that hey would be meeting at the docks. She wore a pair of blackened slacks with a purple blouse with suspenders over it. She really didn't need them but it, but she enjoyed the outfit along with the curled hair of hers braided. Her head covered with a scally cap that was purple with a black skull on its side. She remembered they had been told to go separately to the docks. She didn't understand why but she thought maybe it was so they were paying attention when they packed things. ~*~*~*~*~ Adisa sighed as she waited with Julian at the docks." Are your fangirls coming along? Or they just here to see you off?" Julian declined to respond to her and the two girls that managed to get onto the docks, bouncing up and down making squealing noises till Crevan would growl stepping forward." Leave the docks this is a private affair. "The two froze in place before slinking away. Julian motioned as if that answered her question. Adisa just let out a scoffing noise like she was his girlfriend or something. " Can we move this along. I see Anya coming up right now. The others are late." Crevan eyed her carefully his stoic face taking on a more curious look. This had Adisa looking away from him as if she had not just said something to him and pretended to clean her nails. Julian chuckled lightly at the way he had silenced her, he thought perhaps he should hang around the General more often if it silenced her. " Did you bring me anything, Anya?" Julian asked as she moved to sit on one of the crates on the docks. She eyeballed him for a moment before opening the fluffy buttered bread, she would start to pick one of the pieces apart and pop it in her mouth. Her feet swung back and forth slowly as she still eyeballed him. " You have coin go buy your own. " Adisa chortled lightly as he made a face." Awe the poor prince didn't get his morning treat" She said it like she was talking to a baby. He glared at her and started thumbing through a book. Crevan looked up seeing the cloaked figure and Tempest come up to the docks slowly, he was frozen in place the girl didn't even look at him. The figure turned her to speak with her about something and gave her leather bond brand new book setting it in her hands and an ink set. The figure gently cupped her child whispering to her before she patted her shoulder leaving her there. Tempest looked to Crevan and him to her, she kept her eyes on him as she moved along the walk. " Good Morning General." She said softly. The group that was already there eyed them both, Anya eating her bread slowly. " What..." Adisa put a hand in Julian's face as if they were watching a tv show. Anya slowly gave her a piece of bread as they both ate slowly watching the two stand before each other. Crevan bowed his head little. " Good Morning...Uh, I believe haven't caught your name." Tempest stared at him longer then he liked not answering him. She would look away from him then as she looked as if she was slightly disappointed that he didn't know. Before answering she would raise her chin high announcing her self. " I am Tempest Turaya Velcrest, daughter of General Crevan Demetrius Velcrest. House of the Velcrest. Third in line for the throne if the following lines parish; Kagome Aleis Velcrest, Julian Demetrius Velcrest, and you my father. " She said. Crevan narrowed his eyes knowing what he had seen the night his small castle had burned to the ground. " You lie!" The venom in his voice was sharp and bitter. Tempest held her ground with her head held high, he had to admit she looked very similar to what he thought their daughter might look like. The anger boiled in him at the figures deceit and lies she was feeding this girl. Adisa and Anya were both glued to the drama that was unfolding while Julian seemed a little annoyed.

Yes, Sarah was late. Did she intend to be? No. Rather for this particular escapade she intended to be punctual.
She had been staying in the queen's guest chambers, helping Jewel get accustomed to Queen Laina's body for the past day or so as Jewel herself meditated, healing Laina's body until it was up to par again. Unfortunately, Sarah herself didn't gain enough strength before this excursion to switch them back, but she did learn the spell to open the portal between the Isles and her home realm to let Thea through with the letter from Queen Laina.
Home... she thought as she weaved through the crowded venues with Felicity in tow. Lately, she's been integrating into the lifestyles of the Isles, feeling more at home with Anya, Felicity, and the Royal Family more than when she first came here. But with Jewel being here with Thea and Panos made her miss the people who raised her, as well as her dog - the people she called her mom and dad.
"Excuse me," she murmured to a vendor calling out his wares. "Pardon," she said, squeezing past a woman selling fake love potions.
"Sarah, slow down!" Felicity pleaded, grabbing onto the girl's tunic so as not to lose her.
"Hey, you wanted to come see me off," Sarah said over her shoulder, shaking herself from her homesickness; she knew that if she'd ask, Crevan wouldn't tell her that she couldn't. After all, she still had on the necklace she had been given before he claimed her as his Scion. It was still heavy, just like his signet ring had been. But she was okay with it now, and in fact took comfort in the weight.
Finally, they broke away from the inner-working of the city and made their way to the docks. Sarah's fearful look relaxed into a broad, relieved smile and heavy sigh as she slowed down her pace. She saw the group still standing there. From how far away they were, Sarah couldn't make out any defining features. She knew that Anya, Crevan, Julian and Adisa were there, along with someone that she has never met before. Maybe a noble-class person that knows magick?
Then, all of a sudden she felt a sudden ... anger or offense, right in the pit of her belly. It made her suddenly stop, causing Felicity to bump into her hard. Was this what Crevan was feeling? He did make the mention that they could feel what each other was feeling one day ... because she surely didn't feel angry herself. It was like an outside force, settling in and causing her to be concerned.
She ran the rest of the way, her pack hitting her back with every step. She didn't care for much other than wanting to see why Crevan felt this way. "Sarah!" Felicity called out, this time much quieter but still at the same level of complaint. But Sarah didn't pay attention to her birth mother.
"Master," she murmured, coming up behind him and reaching a hand as if to calm a startled animal toward his elbow. She'll greet her best friend, but right now Crevan was her main concern.

Crevan heard the little murmur that came from Sarah and his anger subsided only for her sake. " I am alright." He said as he relaxed as she got nearer. The worry and concern that she had overtaken him. Tempest moved forward her head still held high, the woman had said to not back down or show fear if someone challenged her here. " I am. I was awoken recently on the full moons." She said just that and moved up the boarding ramp without a word further to her father. Crevan watched her walk onto the ship, he looked to the group that seemed to be enthralled with just happened. They seemed to pretend to become busy with something else quickly. He turned to Sarah and smiled, "How was your morning?" He said trying to play it off as if nothing had happened. He would see Felicity and smile to her," She can run pretty fast?" He said with a smile.
Adisa finished a piece of bed moving off from Anya dusting her hands," I'll be on board the ship. " She said to Julian. Julian merely nodded as he flipped through the pages of the book, he wasn't really reading. Anya would wrap up the last few fluffy buttered loaves of bread, so she could jump down from the crate. " Miss Felicity, will you be joining us on the boat at least?" She asked so not to draw attention to the fact she had just watch something juicy unfold on the docks. She would hold open the package so Felicity could partake if she so chooses, her smile was sweet as she waited for a response.
Julian wait wondered if it was true that she was his cousin, she was someone he had never seen before. At least not face to face, he had seen many pictures of his aunt. She was only a glimpse of what Tempest was, she had his intrigue that he decided to follow. He snapped his book closed walking up the ramp onto the ship, looking around he saw Adisa next to Tempest which he thought was a horrible idea." Oh brother." He mumbled walking quickly that way to separate the two.
" You know that was a cheap shot. What kind of spell was that you cast to make that appreciation appear?" Adisa said shoving her on the shoulder. Tempest kept her head up shoving her back." I did not. The one you saw today protected me from you." Julian blinked hearing the exchange as he slowed" You did not tell me you provoked that attack." Adisa straightened crossing her arms." This bitch was snooping outside your door." Julian let out a sigh and gave her look. Tempest narrowed her eyes at the woman and said something she did not think she would have said otherwise." The only dog I see here is you." Julian would grab Adisa holding her close as she kicked at Tempest he threw her to the side pining her to the railing of the ship."Cool off." When she tried to get around him he raised his voice." I said cool off." He pointed down the ship where Adisa stalked off to.
Julian would adjust his jacket turning to speak to Tempest seeing she was gone, he would let out a rush of air and throw his hands down in defeat." You're welcome..." was all he mumbled before walking after Adisa.

Sarah did get a good look at Tempest before the girl turned and walked onto the boat. It had her brow creasing in confusion at her words, yet she stayed silent. What did she mean, she 'woke up'? Whatever that meant it happened when she switched Jewel and Queen Laina's souls. Sarah did see that, while her hair was blonde, she had the eyes of the royal family, if a bit altered. Maybe she was a distant cousin? Sarah wasn't sure, but she did know that the royal family had dark hair. Not as blonde as hers, if not blonder.
When Tempest turned her back, Sarah mentally shook herself, then gave Crevan a small smile. "It was rushed," she answered, dropping her hand from his arm. Then she giggled when he spoke of Felicity, "Faster than I thought. She had to hang onto me while we went through the city."
"Hey, don't make fun of me," Felicity defended herself after she overheard the conversation. And after rolling her eyes at Sarah sticking out her tongue, she turned to Anya when the girl spoke to her. "Oh, no," Felicity denied politely, shaking her head. "While Jewel is here I'll be staying with her. Family catch-up and all that."
She wasn't sure if Sarah told her best friend what she had done, but if she didn't Felicity wasn't going to drop the bomb.
"I'm just here to send you off."
Sarah gave a small smile to her birth mother, looked to Crevan to give him that same smile, then walked to Anya and stood beside her. Sarah hasn't seen her in a couple of days, what with how busy she had been with the body-switch. But since they both were going on this trip she was excited to catch up with her friend. "I've got some cheese," Sarah said, pulling her pack off her shoulders and flipped open the top to reveal the product wrapped in paper and twine as well as her own small loaf of bread and a few apples. It sat on top of her few changes of clothes, the stiletto knife Crevan had gifted her when she first arrived, and a rolled paper with spells to practice from both the queen and Felicity.
"Want some to go with your bread?"

Crevan chuckled hearing what Felicity had to go through town, Anya would nod her head" Sounds like fun. I am sure she will be happy to catch up." She said softly before turning her attention to Sarah. " Yes, some cheese sounds good. " She would cut some slices for both of them, her eyes lighted to what Sarah was bringing out.
" Wow. You know I should have thought of getting cheese. " She looked over at Crevan briefly before looking to Sarah." Did you catch any of what happened?"She whispered softly trying to be low enough so Crevan could not hear. Crevan would smile to Felicity," Will you two be enjoying the gardens in the castle or the city shops while catching up?" Crevan was trying to make a little small talk. He could hear the bustle of the market in the distance brought a small smile to his face.
Tempest stood at the bow of the ship her hands resting on the railing thinking about how her first introduction to her father had gone, it wasn't at all pleasurable, to say the least. She let out a sigh wondering if she was going to get along with any of them here. That witch of the prince was a piece of work, she thought that she had been very rude the first time she met her.
Then she continues the assault here as if she was worried that Julian might take her as a witch instead; one that knew no magic; what a joke. She shook her head refusing to fall into that kind of thinking. She turned seeing the prince arguing with his witch who was poking him hard in the chest before going down into the ship. She noticed he didn't follow instead headed back to the stern.
A man in the crow's nest bugled a horn sounding it to let the passengers that had not yet to board they would be taking off soon. Crew for the ship was starting to board the ship as well, some of them had tattoos that had to deal with the ship. They chatted about why they were sailing out to a ourter island. Tempest heard a conversation about stealing something but when they noticed her listening to they shut up and moved on.

Felicity only smiled and nodded in agreement with Anya. She didn't think the girl knew - or she did and was trying to cover it with small talk like Crevan was. She definitely didn't need for Julian or Adisa to know. "Probably a bit of both," Felicity responded cordially to the general. "I know thay she was talking about perusing the shops though."
Sarah brought out her block of cheese, creamy white in color with dark flakes of spices. The shop owner told her it was a cross between sweet and Spivey. Sarah loved both equally, and was pleased thay it was exactly as the shop owner had said. Rationing it was going to be difficult, Sarah knew. So she made sure to bring more food other than just the cheese.
"It is so good," Sarah praised before asking Anya to borrow her cutting instrument.
She didn't want to use her stiletto, mainly because she was afraid to cut herself. In fact, she's never used it before. It sat in Crevan's armoire untouched and uncharmed, yet still sharp as the day she got it.
"No," Sarah said confused, her brow crunching as she frowned. "Just that Crevan was upset. Is she a royal family member that I haven't met yet? Not Kagome, surely." She knew of the elusive princess, next in line for the throne that had left. No one seemed to know whether when or if she would come back.
After they shared a couple slices if cheese, it was time to board the ship. Before Anya could explain any further what had happened, Felicity came to Sarah and hugged her. "Be careful," Felicity whispered before pulling away. Probably because she didn't like the Prince and feared that he would take advantage of Sarah's infatuation with him.
Sarah rolled her eyes at that because she always denied it. "I will."
Then after she put everything back in her sack she linked arms with Anya and walked up the ramp. "What happened?"

Crevan would smile " Yes, the shops are nice. She is lucky to have you show her around. Do try and stay out of trouble though" He said the last jokingly. Anya would hand her knife to her, she wanted some of that cheese desperately to eat with her bread. Anya waited for a piece to be cut before she took one," No not Kagome..."She said eating the bread with the cheese making a satisfied face. When the horn blared she cursed wrapping things up. She would move towards locked arm in arm with Sarah after she said her goodbyes, she noticed Crevan moving onto the ship first looking around.
She would pull Sarah to the side once they came aboard. " She announced she was his daughter. He got angry because he said it was a lie. I mean everyone had heard what happened to his wife. " She looked around seeing Crevan head for Prince at Stern. She saw Tempest at the front leaning on the railing as the ship pulled away from the dock. " I mean I have seen the paintings of his wife. You two could be closely related, " She motioned to her and then Tempest." And they say you closely resemble his wife. I mean what do you think?"
The crew had the sails down and hitting the wind as they pulled away from the port, they would swing down after the sails were in place. As the crew sat around the place they would hum and sing sea shanties, while a few played the spoons or accordion a few dancing that was not vampires. Some had pointed ears almost like an elf, " It would be alright if the wind was in our sails" They bellowed and danced. Crevan stood with the prince at the stern, " Your witch seems to think she owns you. As a prince that is not a good thing, are you and her together."
Julian sighed shaking his head." No, and I think that is her problem. She wants to be with me. She and I play the star cross lovers thing when fan girls come around to scare them off. But that is it. I do not feel that way with her." Crevan leaned against the rail a little he had a frown on his face." You know that is not a problem if you wanted to, but the throne would never accept her. She doesn't have any submission in her. "
Julian nodded " I am sorry, I will try and rain her in. I found out she attacked Tempest. I still need to speak to her for that, so If punishment is needed I can handle it." Crevan would hold up his hand." I will pretend I did not hear it. No need for old school beatings. This is a different generation, I won't have you or her having that follow you." He clapped his shoulder before moving towards the bow where he had seen Tempest, it was time he made sure she was what she said.

To say that Sarah was surprised was ... an understatement.
Sarah knew the gist of what had happened, hearing the servants gossip about it under their breaths as she past. About how Aranel had died. Was everything she heard accurate? Probably not, but she did know that yes, she looked like her Master's late wife and yes, she died horrifically. But a daughter? She never recalled a daughter being mentioned. "No," Sarah drew out the word, making it sound like there were more syllables to it as she denied it. "I highly doubt that we could be related."
Sarah made sure that she was out of the way of the sailors, her pack by her feet and leaning against the railing with her hands clasped in front of her. Even though there was a relaxed feeling in the air she had never sailed on a boat before, much less one with a whole crew. "I don't know," Sarah murmured after a minute of silence. "She does have the eye color." Sarah took a furtive glance at Tempest's back, then she cast her gaze to her Master, who was talking with Julian. About what? She wasn't sure. It wasn't her place, but she couldn't help but fear for a few seconds if they were talking about Sarah and what she had said to Crevan about the prince the other day.
"And looking back on it, some of Master's features too. And Aranel's..." The last part she murmured more to herself, recalling how Aranel appeared when Sarah cast the spell - who as everyone had claimed was an exact reflection of Sarah. Or vice versa. "To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if she was. And if she isn't ..." Sarah made a face, heart clenching. "That's pretty low to play at someone's feelings like that."
Sarah knew that Crevan tried to give off this air of emotionless general. After all, she fell for that one too. Maybe because she shared a tent with him for a hot minute or the fact that she was now his Scion or possibly both. Either way she finally knew why she had felt his anger, and she hoped for Tempest's sake that the girl was telling the truth.
"Mornin' ladies."
Sarah was brought back to the present, her eyes taking in the presence of one of the sailors. She was taken aback, not expecting for any of them to acknowledge their presence. But he was here, standing in front of Sarah and Anya with a hand on his hip. The first thing she noticed about him was his hair, which was red and went down to his chin. His white shirt, open to reveal a tanned chest, reminded Sarah of a male love interest on the cover of a steamy novella. His grin didn't show any sharp canines that vampires sported, but his ears were pointed, like Sarah's when she wasn't casting glamour.
He looked oddly familiar. As if, she had seen him before, but she wasn't sure where or how. But she was sure she had seen those keen eyes somewhere.
"Care to join in on the fun?"

Anya nodded listening to her with a single laugh to the comment of not being related." Nah just said you looked as if you could be. Not that you were." She sighed looking either way before she shrugged a little." Though She does have the variant of the eyes. She has to be related in the least. I mean she could be an illegitimate child of Damiens maybe instead." She with a shrug of her shoulders. " I mean I occasionally hear them have conversations of the such when I am bringing spells to him. "
She sighed leaning her head on the railing for a moment before she put the sea to her back. She watched Sarah when she mentioned her having both of their features. " Yeah. She looks too much like them.." She pouted her lips a little in thought, she would frown" Well could do a blood spell to see if she is related. Though I really do not remember how that goes." She raised a brow when a man stepped forward to speak with them." Morn" She said looking him up and down." May we have the name of the one that asks us to dance with?"
Crevan and Julian would move towards the singing of the ship they seem interested in what was going on. Crevan would hang back as Julian came up to the group with a smile, he would take out a harmonica a pick up the tune stomping his foot along with those that were standing. Tempest thought to come near but seeing her father she chose to stay away, she wanted not to argue again, he kept his eye on her and Sarah it was difficult to choose. Want answers to what the girl had said, but did not want to let Sarah out of his eyes sight with the crew.
Julian would smile as he blew into the harmonic watching Sarah, without having Adisa up his ass was a good feeling. Not having her hiss and roar at anyone that came near him. He wondered who it was that was asking the girls to dance with them. Julian would put away the harmonic he stomped and clapped his hands. Soon he started to sing " This is the maddest clipper you can find, how way how the way you all most done. She is the Marist tether on a blue star line! Clear away the track and let the bull ji run!"
The sea was giving the boat a little wave making it reach above the water. The sun was shining down brilliantly as a type of large mammal would jump out of the thrashy water. More came to swim by the ship as the song changed turned to a sadder sounding song. Crevan would move slowly towards Tempest knowing that Julian would handle them if they meant the girl's ill. Tempest saw him coming over and she stiffened turning her back to him, he seemed calm as he approached. " So you say your name is Tempest? Did the old woman give that to you?" She refused to answer him because of his outburst.
He moved around her to get to look into her eyes. Upon seeing her look up briefly the look on his face changed from stoic to a glimpse of shock and anger. " This is magic. " He hissed, she would back up from him her arm sliding across the trailing where a rigging was. A sharpness knicked her and she winced. He could smell the blood and he paled looking at her, she saw how he was looking at her. It frightened her more then when he was angry, he looked as if he had become ill.

"Well milady," the elf-man started, turning his grin to Anya and bowing with a flourish. "You can call me whatever you wish. Red, Flirt. Though there is one name that Im particularly fond of."
Sarah couldn't help but shake the feeling of knowing him from somewhere. How he spoke with an accent that she couldn't put her finger on. The way the single earring in his left earlobe glinted cheekily in the sun. He seemed to preen at Anya's perusal of him, putting one hand on his hip after introducing himself. "And what was that name?" Sarah asked, not being able to put to rest that she knew him from somewhere and hoping that whatever came from his mouth would jumpstart her memory. But why would she know someone with pointed ears just like hers?
"Cardinal," he responded, reaching out for Sarah and Anya's hands. She wasn't sure what made her take it; soon she found herself dancing with the crew, singing along to the shanties' choruses. It was much more different than practicing any formal dance routines like the waltz or tango. At first, she felt self-conscious as usual, feeling Julian's eyes on her as he played the harmonica then joined in on the singing. But with a confident wink from the sailor that invited her and Anya in the festivities she laughed and loosened up. If she missed a step no one corrected her form. Her voice was lost in the raucous singing of the men so if she missed a word no one cares.
Then she slowed with the song as it grew softer, sadder. She felt an arm go around her. Cardinal's. It was a casual gesture, she figured, meeting his gaze as he continued the song, "For the voyage is long, and the winds don't blow. And it's time for us to leave her."
She smiled at him apologetically, then bent a bit so that she can get out from under his arm. She needed to get a drink, she told herself. But she saw Crevan go up to Tempest. As she walked to her pack to grab the water skin Felicity gave her she kept the pair in the corner of her eye. She couldnt help but feel concerned for Crevan, knowing what he was feeling yet fearing to intervene.

Anya would watch him try to be so charming she couldn't help but smile. She took a second to think about it before her fingers danced on his palm before gripping his hand. Being pulled into the group of dancing, she had to admit it was fun doing this and being with her friend letting the worries of what was to come to fade away.
She would dance carefree until she noticed Sarah eyeing Crevan and Tempest, hearing the music and song change she would dip out from the group fanning her self to lean on the railing again. She licked her lips watching Julian take notice, he would shift to watch Crevan his voice falling from the singing accompaniment. Anya tapped her shoulder," What is going on?" She whispered to her wondering if she had a stronger connection then she and King Damien.
Crevan Looked to Tempest who stared back, when he reached out to cup her face she jerked back from him." You did not look for me?" Pain etched his face at her words. " I saw a baby buried in the dirt...I" Tempest felt a sharp pain in her chest and her face registered shock at what he had said. " My castle was burning to the group and your mother was torn apart in her favorite garden. ...What was I suppose to think?" Tempest lip started to quiver. She had thought all this time that her father had known what his father had done with her. Hearing this tore at her heart wanting to hug him, she couldn't because she felt eyes on them.
She forced the tears away wiping them quickly," Nothing..." Was all she said before looking out over the water. She remained silent and when he tried to draw closer she looked to him and spoke." I want to be alone please." She said her voice all most breaking before she looked out over the water again. Crevan hung there for a moment before he nodded and walked away slowly, the sad song when the bosun yelled for them to turn the sails to catch the wind. Julian hung back waiting for Sarah to either speak to crevan or for him to pass.
Anya moved so that it looked as if she hadn't been staring at them as Crevan approached heading for the back of the ship. His hand would gently reach out cupping Sarahs face his thumb gently brushing her cheek. " When you are done having fun. I will meet you in my cabin at the far back below the captains. " He smiled to her and moved on.

Cardinal did indeed pride himself in being charming, smiling with a mix of triumph and glee at both girls agreeing. Cardinal knew that Sarah was going to take his hand; he saw the gears in her head trying to turn, trying to figure out where she knew him from. He was amused with it, to say the least. But it also took him all he had to not say anything to her, instead opting for her to come to the conclusion on her own.
Anya on the other hand ... he wouldn't say he was surprised that she took it, but he wouldn't have been upset if she didn't take it either. He definitely did see her in a different light. What kind of light? He couldn't pinpoint it. All he could say was that she proved him wrong. And he liked that in people. Especially women.
Although he was a flirt, he made sure that both girls stayed in his line of sight. He knew that in his short time masquerading as a sailor he found that those that manned the ship wasn't too nice with the ladies. If he was being honest, he was paying more attention to Sarah not only because he was asked to, he also watched her grow up for the majority of her life. He watched Anya, too, of course. That was because Sarah cared for the girl. Best friends from what he gathered. Sarah might not remember him now, but he was sure that if he didn't watch and someone got too close for comfort, when Sarah did remember she would hold him accountable.
He watched the girls briefly as they parted from the group, then played his part as sailor and helped the rest of the crew. It wasn't going to take a few hours to get to where they were going, so he was confident that he can talk with the girls tomorrow.
Sarah, not paying attention to anything other than the exchange between Crevan and Tempest, jumped and squeaked when Anya tapped her shoulder. When she realized that it was only her friend, her shoulders slumped in relief and offered the skin for Anya to drink from. I really can't discern anything other than what he is feeling," Sarah murmured before sighing slightly. While one hand held the skin her hand was free to clutch at her chest in a distracted manner, as if that itself could ease the pain her master was feeling.
It couldn't though, she thought. And as she thought a little bit more, the more she could only imagine the pain Crevan had to go through in his life. It's been ages since his wife had been murdered, and presumably his daughter too. She could now understand why he had been using his title as general as armor, hiding behind a mask of indifference so that maybe ... maybe ... the pain he felt with those losses would eventually go away.
Lost in her thoughts, she smiled ruefully to herself. She could only imagine what Crevan was thinking when King Damien gave her to him. A living ghost of his wife. That's probably why she had gotten away with having more freedom than most witches in the Isles should. And she could only be thankful; she didn't know how she herself would react if the roles were switched. Most would probably just turn her away, having no desire to relive the pain or probably believing that their minds were playing tricks.
Jumping back to the present, she cleared her throat and dropped the smile. "I think she is telling the truth." Rather, she was sure. Since having the bond with Crevan she didn't have to guess what he was feeling as he was coming to her. This was painful. The daughter he had with his beloved whom he had presumed dead now stood before him, fully grown. Later, she might be so bold as to ask what had happened. But not right now. Not in front of everyone.
"Yes, Master," she murmured, her chest tightening. With all the festivities and Crevan and Tempest's exchange, she hadn't even given thought to sleeping arrangements. With how it sounded, she might be sleeping with Crevan for the duration of this trip. It was funny how she would have had such a strong aversion to the mere thought when she first came here. When he offered his bed to her that first night but she had blatantly refused and decided to sleep on the floor. Now? She wasn't eager for what could very possibly an awkward exchange. But she definitely wasn't going to take the floor. Never again.
"Where are you going to sleep at?" Sarah asked Anya, putting away the container of water then pulling out the cheese once more. This time, she tore a small chunk off for herself and gestured the rest of it to Anya so that she could pull a piece of it off for herself.
"Prince Julian, would you like some too?"

Tempest held the leather bound book to her body after pulling it from her pack she would begin to write in it on a crate that wasn't far from her. She was using it as more of a journal, than anything as she sketched in the corner the waves with the mammals jumping up from the water. She was having conflicting feels still, as to the truth of the whole matter of what happened to her mother along with her being.
She imagined it was not as cut and dry as her emotions had made it moments ago with Crevan. It was something she regretted the moment she had said that she wanted to be left alone. Now here she was alone. She was just upset that she was nearly a full woman and no one bothered to help her escape that darkness but Hellenia. And her father just told her the woman lied, what was she suppose to feel.
Anya took a drink from the skin before handing it back. She the exchange but had a hard time understanding it, " Oh, hmm." She frowned handing the water back. " So you can feel all that huh?" She was surprised at that. She felt things with Damien but she had a hard time breaching his mental barrier like he was trying to hide something from her.
Where it seemed Crevan Sarah's Master seemed to be an open book for her. She watched the exchange between Sarah and Crevan without really staring she did not want to make it awkward when he walked slowly away she would frown a little then laughed." Oh, I won't be sleeping tonight I much to practice before getting to the island. So I most likely will hang up here. Though I do have a cabin if you rather not sleep in the same room as the General" She said with a teasing smile as she took a piece of cheese.
Julian would walk over and pull a chunk off," This is my favorite kind" he said before popping it into his mouth. " Thank you, " He said after finishing it. " So do you know that man from somewhere or something. You two seemed familiar with each other." Anya went wide-eyed." Is someone jealous?" Julain would clear his throat. " I was just asking." He said with a narrowing of his eyes at her. " I am just glad Adisa hasn't marched up here to drag me to my room yet. She can be such a pain sometimes when it comes to my schedules and other things."
Crevan moved down the ship to his room that was the second largest. It had two beds in it and a table with a lantern swinging from the ceiling in rhythm with the waves. He would sit down at the table after removing his weapons and pack. He would put his head in his hands as she seemed to be thinking about what he could do to fix this, he realized that emotions would be tinder between him and his daughter. If he had known he would have gone to any length to find her and save her.

"Should I not?" Sarah couldn't help but ask. It wasn't that she was being sarcastic. Never would she ever with her friend. But it sounded to her when Anya asked if she felt "all that" Anya didn't with King Damien. Was what Anya experienced what every other scion experienced? Was Sarah the oddball like usual?
Originally, Sarah would have been overly concerned that she didn't fit in. Fitting in had been constantly on her mind. Fitting in with the girls in school so as not to be made fun of. Fitting in with the girls that were being sold so that she could survive. Fitting in in the Isles because she didn't want to cause trouble. Not when there was no hope of going home. But now? On that boat? She really didn't care all too much if she was different. Maybe when she asked Anya if she shouldn't be able to feel what she felt with Crevan, it was out of habit.
One thing didn't change about Sarah, though, was the fact that every time she was teased about anything having to do with either Crevan or Julian, she blushed. Sometimes it was only in her ears, that hellish fire. And others it started in her cheeks and bloomed outward. Those times she was thankful that she knew some sort of glamour so that she can hide it. But not always. Not when she wasn't thinking about it. "That's okay," Sarah said hastily, huffing and rubbing her cheek with the knuckles of her free hand. "I'll be fine."
By the time Julian came up, Sarah's blush had receded. She gave him a smile when she heard that it was his favorite. "It's becoming mine as well," Sarah responded. Then she wrapped it up, pausing in putting it away when Julian asked if she and Cardinal were familiar with each other. So the prince noticed it too, the over-friendliness of the stranger. There was still the strong feeling of knowing him, but she couldn't ever recall meeting him anywhere. Until she can discern where or why she felt this, he was still a stranger.
Then she laughed, the thought of Julian being jealous genuinely amusing. "You better not let Adisa hear you say that, Anya," Sarah said. Then she straightened and put a hand on her hip - a gesture she picked up from Felicity. "In all honesty though, she cares for you if she's concerned about your schedules."
What kind of schedules would he be following while he was on this ship with the rest of them?
"As for Cardinal?" Sarah shook her head, finding comfort in the spice dancing on her tongue from the cheese. "I cannot shake the feeling that I know him from somewhere. But I've never met someone else that had pointed ears like mine." She couldn't have met anyone back in the human realm - or the realm that she came from. She didn't even see any faerie or elves in the Forest when she was kidnapped other than Queen Edaine in her dreams. This was eating away at her.
She glanced Tempest's way again, before turning and facing the waters and its inhabitants. It was a beautiful sight, causing her to smile. "I've never been on a boat before," Sarah said more to herself than anyone, but was said loud enough to have her companions acknowledge it. "This is awesome."

Anya shook her head," No, you should. My connection to that matter is not that well with my master. My mother can even feel where her master is in pain, like physical pain; which then in using her magic, she can heal him more precisely. Her skill is crazy. I am still learning."
She would smile to her friend" Seems your a natural talent. " Her fingers danced over her bag she had picked up to rest on a crate." Well, my room is always open to you if you two have a disagreement. " She said as she had been having those lately with her Master, they were not violent just upsetting sometimes. She knew it had to do with the care of the queen, and she understood, but she felt she could have helped more if he just allows it.
Julian chuckled shaking his head, Anya would make pbst noise and shake her head." I could care less what that hot tody thinks of me." She said which all most made Julian spit out a drink he had produced from his side. " Hot Tody?" Anya laughed and shrugged" I could not come up with a better word. So I just blurted the first thing that came to mind. I mean I didn't want to call her the B word." Julian chuckled again before looking to Sarah." I have no trouble following my schedule. She just believes that if I keep moving none stop all my little fans won't find me. " He rolled his eyes a little, taking another drink." Which is hogwash? They always find me. I am surprised none snuck aboard to follow me. "
He let out a sigh," you know it's not what I want. Who wants a group of crazed people fluttering about you all the time, I have to have them check the castles public baths several times to make sure no one has snuck in that is not allowed. "
Anya laughed loudly as she hit the crate." Oh, Sarah let me tell you about this time a couple of girls snuck into the bath as attendants. They just wanted to hand him a towel and see him in his full glory..." Julian blushed and cleared his throat." No one saw anything. I have become accustomed to wearing swimming shorts to bathe now. I can't believe you brought that up." He blushed a little quickly glancing at Sarah to make sure she wasn't laughing at his predicament.
Anya sobered up hearing about the man they danced with. " Yeah that you remember. You could have been bonded with him before you were sent away? I mean perhaps he is your life mate? " She shrugged seeing Julian straighten a little putting his drink on his side while his other hand rested on the hilt of his short sword.
He looked as if he wanted to say something but did nothing of the such as he searched the upper deck. Only seeing Tempest and a few other sailors since the waves had calmed, it seemed the wind had died as well. " I for sure have never seen him before. Normally the crew is the same. It is not this time. Which is concerning to me. Though General hasn't said anything." His feelings were conflicted about that. He figured the general was not focused enough to tell.
Julian was surprised when she said she never been on a boat before, but he realized she was not from around here." One can always take things for granted when its around all the time. What have you done from your land?" He asked coming up beside her leaning on the rail. Anya would join them on the other side of Sarah. " Yes, please tell us about your world. "
