Anthony nodded in definite agreement, Benjamin was insane and would have fed us to the beasts he wanted us to keep in check. He watched Voss pace the hall in thought he gently scratched the hair he had along his jaw. He lifted a brow when Voss stopped and spoke. “Makes sense, bringing him in now would cause more harm than good.” At the mention of BJ’s reaction to his actions, Anthony sighed. “Yea i know. He’s really taken a liking to her. Watching over her wouldn’t be a problem obviously.” he said a little irritated but he sighed again and let it go.
He nodded his head at the order Voss gave. “Sure. though i haven’t spoken to him in quite some time. After he took the pups with him out of Sia’s place, i hadn’t heard from him. If need be, i’ll get some guys to go find him.” He said thoughtfully. He saw Voss lean against the wall rubbing his temples and raised a brow. “You alright over there?” he asked curiously.

Eliora liked the sound of his laughter, it helped her relax a little. She sighed when he said he couldnt guarantee a good therapist. “Well there you go.” she statted and hid a small smile that smile faded when he spoke again, this time about the punishment. Would the punishment stop the screams of all of her victims that kept her awake? Would it wash away their blood and make her clean again? Even before that shadow latched onto her, Eliora struggled to cope with what she had done.
In truth, she had never truly dealt with all that has happened to her. She didnt have the first clue about how to even begin to. Lanani, her guardian, was always her shield. When things became too much, it was Lanani who took over and shouldered the weight of it all. Without her there now? Well Eliora is just fucked now, aint she? How do you begin to heal decades of suppressed emotional and mental damage? And that was just the beginning. Without the shadow’s voice in her head, she could begin to actually think but the damage was done and her self doubt and worth was deep. How she ever managed to hold her own against her shadow was a mystery.
Soon her thoughts turned to words that began to form a passage from a novel she must have read before.
‘"we see where the suffering which his guilt inflicts must naturally end. It leaves him at the outset of a new life, the life of a man who has submitted to punishment," A person can finally be free from guilt when he/she starts a new life by first submitting to the punishment.’ She couldn’t completely fathom what those words meant but they resonated with her. Though she would have an issue with submitting to any form of punishment even if it was punishment she herself wanted in the first place. It was all confusing and beginning to blur together the more she dwelled on it. So she sighed and bowed her head as a deep pain and wave of sorrow hit her bringing tears to her eyes. After a moment it passed.
At the thought of sexual punishment, her body immediately reacted. When was the last time she actually had sex since being brought back to life? She looked at Ro and bit her cheek, though she said nothing on that. That was not the punishment she needed right now. She bared her teeth and growled as she looked down at her hands, when he spoke of what sounded like a cat-o- nine tailed whip and that immediately took her back to when she was hung from a tree and whipped with one by Antonio. Her blood ran a river from that tree that day.
If she couldnt take simply hear of it, how will she be able to deal with the act of being whipped again? She was glad that he had lost his smile when explaining this because it was no laughing matter and neither was her reaction to it. She was brought out of her thoughts when she sensed him come closer and growled low in warning. She stiffened when he brushed her hair back and wiped the blood from her cheek. Her golden eye looked with his mercurial ones as she watched him lick her blood.
It should have made her sick to her very core, but instead, it made her hot and her breath hitched. She grit her teeth and growled low in response to him. “As should you.” she sat there and stared at him for a moment. “What are you?” she asked and bunched up her brows as she tilted her head. He had gone toe to toe with her in her beast form and came out fine on the other end, not many can claim that victory.
~*~
BJ was all for keeping and eye on things, though there were definitely moments where he’d wished he was elsewhere. He didnt know what the deal was with the two but it fucking made him a tad bit uncomfortable. He’d shifted on his feet a few times but was completely ignored. The scents coming from Eiora were as mixed up as her mind was. She didnt know if she wanted to fuck Ro or fight him, but he wished she’d make up her damn mind about it. He sighed and continued to stand guard at the door.

Voss fingertips gently rubbed his temple more as he wore a deep frown upon his face. When Anthony spoke of what he would do to find he nodded his head in agreement. Though when he asked if he was ok he would move his hand to hold his chin and smile" Just the stresses of being Alpha. That is all." He said dismissing the lack of sleep and headaches he was getting from all the voices mingling in his head from his pack. "I should make my way back in. You may return to whatever it is that you were doing before the alert. " He was thankful that Kia was at home at the time.
~*~
When she asked what he was he smiled. He would move back a little sitting at the edge of the bed. He looked as if he did not want to say for a moment then he merely shrugged." I am a banshee. My second heritage is Vampire, I mainly just feel its hungry need. " He said then shrugging he would let out a sigh." I would ask what you are since most of the wolves I have seen only have two forms. You seem to have many." He said looking at Bj in the corner which in turn made him chuckle. Half the time the man looked like he was gonna lose his cookies. He had smelled her arousal as well and then having it shut off abruptly when she became angry.
"It helps that I can drain emotion which if I drain angry it tends to slow the want to kill someone or something." He said watching her for a moment wondering how fragmented her mind was. If it would look much like her soul did to him. It was for the moment peaceful. Watching her see how much her mood might change. " I have always heard it was good to let go of the past as a start to healing yourself." It was something he had heard a million times. Whether it held weight or not he was not sure.

Anthony gave a Voss a small worried smile, though he didnt press. He knew that it had to be tough for him suddenly having to deal with all of those voices. “Alright, i need to finalize the supply run. There’s still a few folks i need to chat with before the guys head out. If you need me just call and i’ll be there.” he said solemnly before turning and walking away. “Good luck, Bossman.” he said with a raise of his hand to Voss as he walked away. He spotted a worried Foxxy and went over to comfort her before the two walked off to continue handling their business. ~*~
When he smiled at her question she fought a blush, seeing as how that smile seemed to transform and soften his features. She watched and waited for him to answer her, when he did she lifted a brow at him. “Really?” She asked a bit fascinated. “I didnt know banshees could be males, i thought they were all female. How is that possible?” She asked with a stilt of her head.
When he turned it on her she too shrugged and explained. “I am a werewolf of a different breed than the rest. The Father of my breed of wolf was a primordial Gaian Wolf that could take different forms to police escaped spirits. Luna herself is the mother of said breed. It is her anger at her own children that my breed has been afflicted as heavily as we have been. To this day, what’s left of us still suffer. Or so that is the tale that my mother used to tell me growing up.” she said moved her hair behind her ear so that it wasnt obscuring her view of Ro.
Eliora looked at him thoughtfully when he mention his emotion draining ability. “Hmm, you may come in handy after all.” She said mostly serious though she tried to say it jokingly, no doubt failing. She sighed at his mention of letting go of the past to begin healing. “That is easier said than done. When you have held onto something for so long, you forget how to let go.” she said softly.
BJ shifted on his feet again feeling his heart break for her. His ears perked when he heard someone coming near the door only to relax knowing it to be Voss, seeing how Anthony had already passed by. He turned his attention back to the other two and wondered if Eliora was ready to speak to Voss. she had calmed considerably though she still seemed a tad bit on edge and ready to strike out if needed.

Voss watched Anthony for a moment." If there is anything I need personally I am a big boy. I can fetch it myself. "He said with a chuckle. " An to you luck as well Anthony. May it be plenty good."It was not often there was a peaceful moment here it seemed for this Alpha, he would watch him leave.
~*~
Ro shrugged his shoulders," Well, I have no idea how I came to be. All I know is that I am a male. And that from what I have read I have most of the abilities that the female banshees have. " He shrugged his shoulders." And the vampire is less complicated in how to being one."He chuckled rubbing his chin a little before hearing footsteps towards the room. " Ah, you think I might be of some use to you then?" He said with a laugh to put her at ease at her fumble at being funny.
Though his face went serious when she spoke of what he had stated. " Well, if you truly want to end your suffering? You know you only hold the key to how you feel. No one or no thing can make you feel guilty, or anger for revenge." He would stiffen hearing Voss enter the room. He would rise from his bed as the Alpha moved towards him. He would shuffle out of the way. Voss stood with his hands in his pockets.
He said nothing as he stared down at Eliora. He was used to scolding young wolves of his group, not a wise person was making a guardian if she had stayed long enough to take the role.

Eliora watched him curiously as he spoke, she was beginning to enjoy the sound his chuckles. She growled softly at herself before she blushed. He was giving her a sympathy laugh, great. Though despite it , it did ease her a bit and she snuggled more into the pelt. “Yes. I believe so.” she said with a small smile.
When Ro grew serious, she clenched the pelt in her fists and looked down. “I-I know.” she said softly and truly she did but she just didnt know how to let it all go. Part of her didnt feel it was fair to simply let it go and not hold someone accountable for it. It was why she needed to be punished. She needs to be held accountable for what she had done. At the same time when all was said and done, she felt only then would she deserves the peace that awaits her on the other side.
She was brought from her thoughts when Voss came in the room. Everything in her went completely still. She felt the weight of his stare as he looked down at her. She couldnt bring herself to look at him. She was expecting him to lash out at her for her attempted suicide. So she anxiously waited to receive the tongue lashing she knew he would give her.

Ro raised a brow as she snuggled into the furs. She was seeming shy to express any emotion that wasn't anger or sadness. He remained out of Voss way as the man seemed to stare at her for a long time as if debating the judgment he may have for her. It seemed like several minutes before he spoke. " I have heard your excuse for the reasons you tried to off yourself. Tell me how you're going to make it up to me?"
" It better be good." He took his hands out of his pockets moving to her placing his hand on her head shaking it a little like he would a little child." If you wish to be treated like a pup it can be done." Ro smirked briefly but it disappeared hopefully before anyone noticed.
Voss was going to have her followed regardless of her answer to him. "Do you want your old quarters back?" He said scratching his chin as he sat down. He had a mind to room her with Bj so he could watch her at all times. But he knew that he had to sleep eventually.

Reluctantly ,Eliora looked to Voss though she still wouldnt meet his gaze. He made her feel ashamed which angered her because she felt like she had nothing to be ashamed of. She hated her reaction. He was a good friend and she knew she hurt him by doing what she felt was right. The fact that he wasnt jumping down her throat made her weary. The more the silence stretched, the more her anxiety grew. So when he opened his mouth to speak she closed her eyes and braced herself, though what came out of his mouth was not what she’d thought he’d say.
“What?” she asked as she looked at him in surprise. “I dont know. Honestly didnt think I'd be back here.” she said and shifted uncomfortably on the bed. “What would you have me do?” she asked with a sigh. She truly had no clue how she would even start to make it up to him. He was her friend true but she figured she was doing them a favor by leaving to kill herself, itd have been less painful that way, at least in mind it was. She glanced over at Ro and could feel the stirrings of her earlier anger stir.
It wouldnt have hurt as bad if she had succeeded than it was to fail and face those she intended to leave behind. Seeing the disappointment ...the pity...their sadness….did they actually care about her? She hadnt thought so before. She brought her bottom lip between her teeth as she looked down and felt the prickling of tears as they welled up. Her sadness was strong in its strike and sharp as it cut her deep when she tried to suppress it.
She stiffened when Voss ruffled her hair like some pup. She looked up at him and met his gaze. Her tears fell unbidden down her cheeks and she fought back a sob. The action was so simple but it struck a cord in her. The gesture was one that only her father gave. She didnt like the direction of her thoughts so she bit down hard on her lip and growled softly as she wiped the tears away in annoyance. “I am not a child and do not wish to be treated as such.” she said and sniffled. “If it is ok, I would like my space back.” she said and watched him sit on the bed.
“Why are you not angry with me? Why are you not yelling at me? Why are you calm?” she asked wearily.

Voss sat there a moment listening to her. He would shake his head," You will find something to make it up to me. Till then you do nothing that has to do with the inner pack." He said when she said she wasn't a child he scoffed." I see a pup in an adult's body. You cry and claim your self a grown-up. That there do not shirk from duties. They do not think just of themselves. A pack is not a single being for themselves. But a group striving to live together. " He sighed shaking his head." It is my fault that we do not meld as we should. "
Ro would wonder what he meant of that, he could assume but that always came out wrong. Voss listened to her." Why kick a wolf when they are already down?" He said touching her shoulder." You must earn my trust again Eliora. I suggest thinking hard about how you will make it up to me." He said moving from the bed to allow her to pass so Bj could escort her to her room that was not that far from his.

Bj stood stoically at the door. Despite being uncomfortable with the wishy-washy arousal that Eliora seemed to be struggling with, he was a bit pissed at her. While he could understand her reasoning for doing it because he had been at that same point after Mike died. But they had an agreement that if it came to it she would come to him to be killed. She didnt do that, instead, she tried to take her own life. She hadnt even tried to come to him.
Now? Fuck killing her and giving her rest. There’s still so much for her to live for, the main being her children. They had been saved that day and need a mother. Yea it’s been almost three years since that whole incident but they are still young. Alexander and Jason were cool peeps but neither of them was their parents. In that moment, as he watched her, he vowed to himself that he would reunite her with her children and change her view on this life.
No matter how dark things get, there’s always a light. It may take a while to find it and along the way, you may even want to give up, but thats what friends and family are for. The darkness may hide that fact but they are there beside you and behind you encouraging you to keep going. You could be right at the light but won’t know if you simply gave up and stopped.
He didnt care if she didn’t like it or even hated him for it, he was going to make sure she found her light.
~*~
Eliora listened to Voss’s words and her anger struck her hard like that of a viper’s strike. It wasnt as if she’d asked to be a part of the pack in the first place. She hadnt asked to be brought back. Now that she had been brought back against her will, she has to seek forgiveness from them? Her anger began to build, it was a nice respite from the constant sadness that plagued her. She was seething as her anger burned through her. She knew what a pack was and knew that it was merely a reflection of the leadership that led them.
She opened her mouth to retort though bit her tongue when he sighed and took the blame for the shape that his pack was in. it was like being dashed with icy cold water and served as a reminder of why she befriended him in the first place. She took a deep breath and let out a long sigh. When he touched her shoulder and told her again that she had to make it up to him, she looked at him long and hard with deep golden eyes that sparkled in irritation and anger, before she cut her eyes and growled at him. Needless to say that she wasnt happy with the whole situation and trying to explain to him wasnt getting her anywhere so she would just stop trying. They wouldnt understand anyway.
Her skin felt tight, her jaws and her joints ached. She needed to run or something. She wanted to sink her teeth into something. An image of an irritated, shirtless Ro came to mind and she mentally kicked herself as she bit back her growl. She remembered the taste of his blood and licked her lips. She turned her attention back to Voss and frowned. He was sending her to her room as if she were a child and he was her father.
She growled low at the thought and shifted into her urhan form, looking like a large canadian timber wolf with a pure white and fluffy pelt. She stretched lazily to get rid of some of her anxious energy. She looked at Ro and curled her lip at him in a silent snarl and jumped down from the bed. She looked to Vossone last time and growled low as she walked away and followed BJ out.
They were quiet as they walked down the hall to her room. BJ was wrapped in thoughts of how to her, while Eliora, on the other hand, was mulling over the fact that now Voss was going to be a pain in the ass. She growled in irritation at the thought and shook her head. BJ looked down at her and grunted.
“So you mad now?” He muttered as he looked down the hall in the direction of her room. Eliora looked up at him and growled low as she laid her ears back. “I wont pretend to know how you are feeling or have been feeling. I cant walk in your shoes and quite frankly, i don’t want to. It honestly seems like a lot and i have my own issues to deal with.” he said as they began to walk to her room. Eliora rolled her eyes and walked beside him.
“But with that being said, we’re never given more than we can bear. You are a strong woman and right now you are at your weakest. I get that though you never struck me as one to give, to rollover and just die. No pun intended. You are a fighter….a survivor. Your childhood dint break you. The death of your daughter didnt break you. The death of your family may have bent you but it didnt break you. Hell, you dying didnt even break you.
You may be bent to all hell but you still have not been broken. Allow us to brace you up until you are strong enough to stand tall on your own.” BJ said with a low growl before he sighed. “ the morning of the trials, we had an agreement. You’d come to me if you needed anything , even if it meant taking your life. Does your life mean so little?” he asked her as he looked down at her. Eliora turned her head away and let her tail fall.
‘I get it, sorta. But know this, i will make sure that you live your life. That is a bet. You are still young, not a pup of course. “ he said and chuckled when she growled and tried to nip him. “But surely not even close to being an elder. There’s still, so much life for you live,so many more experiences for you. Shit happens, that is a part of life. You have to learn how to keep it moving. Giving in and giving up is never the answer. I know how much easier it would be to simply give up the fight, i’ve been there. The thing that keeps me going is knowing that there is something better to be had out there. Even if i have to create it myself, it will be worth the journey through hell i had to travel to get here.’ he said in earnest. “You can do the same thing. You have children out there that could use their mother. Despite what you may think, many here have come to see you as one of our own, meaning you are not alone. You are part of our family and we take care of own, even those hellbent on stupidity and stubborn as fuck.” BJ said and chuckled.
“You have shown that you aren’t as much of a boogeyman as you try to seem or that they thought you were. I know that you have seen for yourself that we are not as bad as you thought we were. Remember, everyone in this pack have done some fucked up shit , and some continue to do so out of necessity, but this pack is a second chance to do and be better than we were before. So never think that you are the only one that has gone through or had done some shit that still haunts you.
We all have our own demons to contend with. No one person’s sins are heavier than another’s. A sin is a sin.” he said and stopped in front of her room he turned to look down at her thinking to see the large white wolf that had been walking beside him. She wasnt there. Instead, his gaze traveled up the body of Eliora’s near-human form. She was lean and tall, standing as tall as he was. Her features were more angular than normal. Her golden eyes were piercing while her ears were pointed and her fangs peered just a little over her lower lip. Her hands were prominent claws and were currently being flexed as if ready to rip something apart.
Eliora had a soft short white pelt that covered her from head to toe blending in with her white hair. Of course BJ had only seen her in this form twice, now and when they were in Voss’s room. He was truly amazed at her ability to maintain so many different forms without breaking a sweat. In his opinion, it further proved his point about her being strong.
Eliora listened to him speak and had to admit that he had some valid points, but that didnt mean that she had to like it. It angered her that they all had valid points that she agreed with, but at the end of the day none of them could even begin to fathom what she was feeling or even dealing with, so of course, they wouldnt understand he need to end it all.
As she looked at the surprise on BJ’s face that held an underlying admiration, she almost smiled...almost. Family… its funny he’d say that. Since the two of them had started talking and becamem friends on the day of the trial, she’d always gotten this big brother vibe from him but refused to acknowledge it. If she did then she it’d simply solidfy all of the attachments that she had been refusing to acknowledge.
She looked at her room door and almost growled. That motherfucker had sent her to her room. She rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips as she looked at BJ with a droll expression. “Has anyone ever told you you talked too much?” she asked offhandedly before she mentally kicked herself and wish she hadnt spoke. She remembered how seldom he actually spoke after the death of his mate. “My apologies, that was inconsiderate of -” she started to say those the rest of her words dried up as the expression on his face caused her to narrow her eyes at him.
He looked highly amused. “Are you laughing at me?” she asked and he let out the laughthat he’d been holding back. Part of Eliora was genuinely happy to see him genuinely happy, though that other part of her didnt like that he was laughing at her.
“Yea i’m laughing at you. Quite the foolin’. As much as you hate to admit it, you care about us. If you didnt then you wouldnt have felt bad just now.” he said and began to sober up, though his smile didnt waver. “Look at, i’m not some fragile snowflake ya hear? I know full well what ya meant. And to answer your question, no , no one has told me i talk too much. The main reason being, i only speak when i need to. That and other folk seem to have a better filter than you , Ms. Fatelle, when speaking to me.”
When Eliora opened her mouth to speak, BJ raised his hand to stop her. “ i appreciate the fact that you dont. I’on want folks tip toein’ ‘round me. It makes me feel weird.” he explained then sighed. “Alright nah, i brought you to ya room. Gone nah,” he said and shooed her towards it. Eliora wanted to give a hug, it was odd. It had been a while since she had wanted to voluntarily touch another person in such a familiar manner. She fought the urge and focused instead on what he was telling her.
She crossed her arm over her chest as she looked at him with a raised brow. “ Uhm no.” BJ let out an exasperated sigh. “Look ‘ere, woman. Bossman said to go to your room.” there was a pause as the words hung in the air between them. BJ sighed and looked at Eliora with narrowed eyes. She had cocked her hip to the side and was thrumming her fingers her arm.
“Uh huh, you hear it.” she said before hse turned and started to walk away. BJ growled at her departing form as he ran his hand down his face in irritation. “Damn stubborn ass woman.” he muttered.
“ I heard that!” Eliora called out over her shoulder. Her words held no heat as she hid a smile. Though the smile slowly faded as a sickening feeling came over her. She pushed it aside, knowing what it would lead to.
“Good! Then I ain’t gotta repeat m’ damn self!” came BJ’s retort. It almost made Eliora laugh out loud at how disgruntled he sounded. “Where are you even going?” he called out as he closed the distance between them.
“I dont know. But im not stopping.” she said with a shrug. Bj sighed again as he walked with her. He was happy that she didnt seem so unsettled and emotionally ungrounded. She seemed to have a better grip on herself for the moment.
~*~*~
Anthony watched as Foxxy headed off to the infirmary area. When she was out of sight, he let out a great sigh that did nothing to dislodge the weight that was still on his shoulders. He roughly ran his hand down his face but it didnt do anything to dispell the worry and anxiety that clung to him at Eliora’s return. He and his brother’s were the reason she was the way she was. Even still, he had been ready to shoot her in the head if she made the wrong move towards Voss.
BJ’s reaction wasnt missed by hm either. He respected the hell out of the big man but whenever he was ready to thump, Anthony would be happy to oblige. BJ aside, Anthony was truly surprised that she would try to kill herself. It made his feel like shit all the more. The woman was clearly hurting something fierce and needed help, not a gun in her face. He sighed. He and his brother were trying to do better. Antwan was , at this very moment trying to keep a promise he’d made to his best friend and Antonio…
While he had his problems to work on, wasnt as bad as he was before. The pet Foxxy had gotten for him seemed to be just what he needed. Anthony was sure that given time he’d change even more...maybe...possibly….Anthiony pulled his phone from his jean pocket and dialed up Alexander, the only other person he knew of that could help Eliora.
After a few rings, Alexander picked up. “ Yo! i havent spoken to you in a smoking hot minute. What’s good?” Anthony was silent a moment wondering if he was making the right choice. They had cut ties for a while since he had the pups. It wasnt until after Alex had left the pups in New Dawn with Jason did they pick up communications. It wasnt until her heard Alexander’s voice just now that he realized that man still thought she was dead.
“What’s up Ant? What’s going on?” he asked in a more serious tone.
“I need your help...It’s Eliora.” Anthony said and waited for his words to sink in but all he was met with was silence. “Alexander?”

He waited for them to exit the room before he turned to Ro, he lifted his hand to point at him but it slowly fell before he just waved him off." Get out of here. " Was all he said turning his back to him signifying he thought he wasn't a threat to him but wanted him no were near him. Ro took the hint and left the questions he had fall away from his lips. Shoving his hands into his pocket he let out a long sigh walking out of the large sliding metal door leaving the Alpha to his thoughts. He moved along the chiseled rock of a hallway he had heard them speaking before he saw them. It took only a moment for them to come into view, and both were not headed for her room in which they had just left. He decided that following them would be a better mix of his time, those left in the dungeon would be better punished if left to stew. He walked languorous after them he cared not if they heard or saw him.
If Sia needed him she could reach him at the phone she had purchased for him in case he decided to walk out of The King's Palace. He had just finished learning how to use it, Pi had one before when she was with the old woman. He would have her relay messages to her he had never needed or used one until now. He had once butt-dialed Sia in the middle of torturing someone in the dungeon for Misrepresenting her at The King's Palace. He had not noticed for she had hung up long before he checked it to see if he had any messages. He saw the call but did not remember making it. Then he was informed later by Pi that he had done what was called a butt-dial, in which the person bumps the phone causing it to dial someone. He now had a better handle on the device since then. He checked it finding a few messages from Pi telling him off about one thing or another he would just click it dormant before noticed them further ahead and headed downstairs. He had put the phone away and moved quickly after them to catch up enough to see where they were going.

Voss sighed as he left his room leaving it as is, he was not in the mood to be anal about everything being in its place. He had too much of a headache to give a shit right now. Though he found that the amount of pain he was feeling was substantially less than before. He figured that his body was adjusting to the use of an ability that most did not tap into even some alpha's bloodline was left without a pack. He figured the amount of stress that came with his lifestyle had no help in curbing the pain. It was something he chose though he found himself a little more conscious of things the had not been before. He found himself doubting his business line of 'finding' and selling flesh. He had walked out of the shelter of the cave out into the sun and made it halfway across the basin now he found himself in front of the council chamber cave entrance, A large rock made it look as if it had collapsed or something had blocked the entrance. Though if you were close enough you could find a place to squeeze in from the outside. He moved through the tunnel heading out into the large chamber where the statues stood, he saw Chakori keeping care of them. He shoved his hands into his pockets staring watching her at Mike's statue. She was taking the dried flowers left out and putting them in a container, she was replacing them with fresh ones.
He watched her move to set the container down and move to put new little candles on his statue mantel. She held her Japa mala beads in her hands as they were pressed together as she prayed for him. Each statue had a display for it, even now that it been a year since they had passed. She continued to watch over their statues praying for each in the line. She would wish them well in the rebirth of their life anew, each statue had a god or goddess on its mantel as well she would place offerings to. "It is a kind thought..but they may not view this religion as their own." Chakori jumped slightly upon hearing his voice. " I know. This is more of my way of praying for them then forcing the belief on them." She said softly." I remove the gods and goddesses after the night is over. I do not want to hurt those that know them." She said looking up to Mike and smiled. Voss would move slowly to sit on a bench before Mike's statue. He had it put there for Bj for him to come and see his likeness if he had wanted to. Chakori had told him that Bj had not visited once, this had concerned him a little and thought that he would of at least came once to look in on the statue once. Give him a place to speak to him at. " I need help." Chakori had looked at him and smiled about to laugh. Seeing his face though she became serious." Ok," She would walk over to him starting to go over him physically. He would hold up his hands as if telling her that's not it. She watched him for a moment. "You're not hurt?"
He would shake his head," No, other than the headache...No." She looked him over for a moment, she would raise a brow at his silence after he spoke." I... Voss, I need you to tell me what is wrong. I can not tell by just looking at you." He would growl lightly making her tense slightly, he stood up moving to pace slowly debating on telling her. " I .. I am mentally taxed. I ....care. " He did not truly know how to explain his dilemma. She seemed only confused by what he had said until he stopped pacing and looked at her." I am an unground businessman. I peddle in flesh and sell drugs among other things, caring is not usually apart of this grouping of illegal jobs. I am having trouble balancing caring about my pack and trying to not care about what I do. "She nodded heading to the table grabbing up her clipboard with papers on it she would go and sit down listening to him speak. It was to just allow him to pour out what he had to say about how he was feeling. Once he was finished he stood to stare at her." Well?" He saw she was smiling and frowned. " It is a normal feeling, you have a conscious Voss. It is hard to care about a group of people and shove aside another without a thought. It is bothering you. " He laughed," No shit. How do I make it go away." Chakori would look at him with a sad look on her face." You will not be able to. You would have to stop caring about the people you do. You won't be able to have both." She said looking at him. He sighed pulling his hands out of his pockets again." I have to." He motioned as if he was going to go crazy." I can not stop caring about Lottie. It is not possible. "
Chakori would shrug her shoulders," I have no answer that you want to hear Voss." He would move to sit next to her on the bench with his head in his hands his teeth gritted before he relaxed. He would lean back letting out a sigh looking at the statues." I will find a way to deal with it. " He had a slow reaction when he was about on a hunt, another were-wolf had nearly had taken him down. He had stopped chasing his prey to allow the other one to go for it. Little did he know the rogue was trying to kill him, he had struggled a little with allowing him to get a little to close before he was able to beat him. He killed him for the mistake, he had pulled him apart leaving the mess for others to find along with another kind of a mess. To let others know he was taking over the area.

There was no way Alexander had heard him right. Eliora was dead. She and Benjamin both were dead. The building they had been fighting in fucking blew up. They were unable to find any trace of her or Benjamin thanks to Sammie. Anthony knew how he felt about Eliora and the last moments he’d had with her haunted him even to this day. Her hurt and pained expression on her face as she lay restrained on that medical bed in labor, was not one he would ever forget.
He had betrayed her, and it was one she didn’t see coming. Through the years, he’d watched over her. He protected her from the shadows and kept her from Benjamin’s clutches. He was a man of many names and occupations in Benjamin’s pack, namely one of his top enforcers. When he had been given the task of getting close to the Fatelle family to keep a close eye on them, he had no idea how close to them he would get. They and the other families of their breed had been shown as dangerous monster that knew only how to destroy and kill.
Benjamin had been sure to only show them at there worst. Alexander was privy to the treatment that they were subjected to, but he didn’t care one way or another. He’d been pretty pissed about being pinned down with a babysitting gig on top of handling his other business. He walked into their sector full of prejudice and stereotypes. So naturally things had been plenty rough between him and them.
He observed how they were treated versus the rest of the pack silently. None of them ever complained, they simply tried to live their lives in as peaceful a way as one can in a place where people hated you for no valid reason. Eliora’s mother was a very distrustful woman and very headstrong. She was a fierce protector and fighter, defending those she deemed needed her protection even from Benjamin. Benjamin found her to be entertaining and loved the shows she would put on for him. Her role in the pack had been as an enforcer of her own people.
Benjamin had explained that it was easier that way. He even had her train the regular pack enforcers on how to handle them. She hated the job but felt it was the best way to help them if they were better understood. Alexander had agreed with that sentiment and found himself growing even more curious about them. So, he used his assignment to get closer and gain more information. It didn’t come easy, Vantoria made sure that the information was earned because for a whole week she would have him fight her and if he could land at least three hits then she would talk to him.
Everyday she kicked his ass, and her husband Stephan was there to patch him up. The worst part was that she had done so in her human form. She hadn’t shifted once. By the skin of his teeth, he managed to meet the requirements she had laid out for him. She had a good long laugh and fed him a hearty meal in celebration and thanks for his determination to understand them. She’d told him about the stories about their breed that was passed down from generation to generation.
Eliora’s dad went over their healing practices with him, about what herbs work best and which were the worst. The man was well versed in herbology and medicine which was only natural seeing as how he was one of their healers. Stephan was no slouch either and was well versed in combat just as his wife was and would even train him now and then when Vantoria was unable to. Thankfully he wasn’t as forceful as his mate. He was nurturing and kind in contrast to her. They were a well-balanced pair that served their community as best they could under the circumstances.
He’d taken in all this information finding it very fascinating. He could see why Benjamin was so obsessed with them, though he had to admit that Benjamin’s obsession was detrimental. It wasn’t until he had met an adorable young Eliora that he knew he had to protect them. She was so young, yet her eyes had seen so much. He’d watched how she and the other children like her had been treated, especially being the last of her grouping to have her first shift at the time. His view on a lot of things had changed as he watched the daily struggles they had gone through.
He'd wanted to nothing more than to beat the shit out of those girls who’d jumped her, but that’d cause too much of an uproar because of who their parents were, not to mention blow his cover. As much as it shamed him to admit, he couldn’t stand witness to her punishment for defending herself because there would have been a lot of dead bodies. When she had found her mate, he new that it was the worst thing to have ever happened to her and his thoughts were only cemented when Christopher had killed their daughter. No one had known of her pregnancy aside from himself and the mated pair because he had made sure of it. But that idiot Chris had gotten himself drunk and spouted off to his buddies and they filled his head with bullshit before confronting her and committing that atrocious act.
If Eliora hadn’t killed them, he would have done so though he was able to beat the living shot out of Chris. He beat him until realized what the fuck he’d done. The kid was so tortured by it he’d went to his dad for whatever fucking reason and was killed by that sick bastard for his troubles. He’d been there for Eliora and her family through their milestones and helped them whenever he could. When had found out they were expecting triplets, he knew something had to change.
He sat her parents down and told them about his assignment to watch over them and report to Benjamin. That’s what he had been doing initially but as time passed, he couldn’t do that anymore and instead fed him false information. They were disappointed but had already known from the start what the situation was. Though they asked to keep it from Eliora because he was the only other person, she could trust aside from them. He’d spent that night discussing escape plans for the family and locations.
He'd used his connections outside of the pack to arrange safe housing and education for them and the children. He helped them escape and stay out of Benjamin’s reach all the while feeding him information. So many times, he wanted to just stop but whenever he saw Eliora acting like the child she was, it showed him that his troubles were worth it. When Eliora first talked about joining the military, he spoke with her parents about it and promised them that he would continue to look out for her even then, when he wasn’t doing jobs for Benjamin
This put them at ease knowing that they could depend on him to do so. They enjoyed the visits with Eliora and her comrades. It gave the pups someone else to bother and her mother someone else to cook for. On the day that Eliora was to come home from a tour, he was unable to go with her because Benjamin had him on another assignment. It wasn’t until later that he found out what happened. He played it off as nothing, as if he was relieved, he no longer glad to deal with them again but in truth he was devastated. He knew that if he was than Eliora would be completely wrecked.
He was right. She’d been so distraught she went on a killing spree, killing anyone unfortunate enough to catch her eye. She’d killed hundreds of people destroyed property and caused mayhem, it put her on the radar of several hunter societies but again he covered her tracks to keep her safe. He’d enlisted the help of Sammie and his guys to do cleanup on the situation. That was one of his more tricky situations he’d had to handle
He'd been given no new assignments until Benjamin realized Eliora was nowhere to be found and he wanted her to a point that was beyond reason. So once again he tasked Alexander to find her. He’d led Benjamin on many wild goose chases all the while keeping Eliora’s whereabouts hidden even after she had joined a new pack and sent her adopted son off to stay with Galen and his Pride. She was always looking to cover her tracks and stay hidden especially after the first pack fell off and she had to find a new one. He’d kept tabs on Casey through Galen and was glad to hear the kid was doing well. He was even more ecstatic when Eliora found another pack that she felt safe enough to bring him back to.
Still, he worked on covering her tracks and out of Benjamin’s hands but as with all things. When Benjamin wanted something, he stopped at nothing until he got it. He’d watched over her damn near her whole life and never wanted her to wear a look of pain and betrayal because of him. He’d seen that look on her face so many times because of other people and each time it broke something in her. To be the reason for that tore at him and he knew there was nothing he could say to fix it.
He was unable to save Eliora, but he made sure to save those children, it still pains him to know that he had lost one of them but he made sure the others were raised in a loving environment surrounded by people who spoiled them rotten. Their Godmother was a Madame for fucks sake, but she would murder anyone who lifted a finger to hurt them without hesitation. But as the children had gotten older, he knew having them growing up in a brothel was not ideal. So, he took them to the one place he thought they would be safe. But that turned to a clusterfuck, and some weird shit started happening that he couldn’t explain.
He'd felt like a complete failure and had been searching for them ever since he’d heard the news from Jason. But for the life of him he couldn’t figure out anything no matter what connections he used. So when he’d gotten the call from Anthony he’d thought it was one of his many contacts finally calling him with some good news.
“Alex...Alex!” Anthony yelled into the phone and brought Alexander from his thoughts. “Yea, man im here. Stop yelling in my ear damn, you’re gonna bust my eardrum.”
“Well say something shit. I thought my phone was fucking up.” Anthony growled softly. Alexander rolled his eyes and sighed.
“You mention Eliora and my mind wandered off. Are you trying to find something out about her or what?” he asked, clearly guarded as if this conversation was going to pain him and it very well could. “
“Why are you bringing her up after all this time?”
It was now Anthony’s turn to be silent for a moment. It was then that it registered that he had no idea Eliora was alive. If he found out she’d been alive this long and no one told him, all hell would break loose and he would demand to see her. Anthony had to choose his words wisely, but he knew he couldn’t keep that kind of information from him. After another moment he took a deep breath as if to brace himself and let it go slowly.
“’Its hard for me to say this but we have Eliora. She had been with us recovering but we feel like something is wrong with her. We want to help her but don’t know how and wanted to know if you could help?”
There was a long ensuing silence as Anthony allowed Alex to process what he just said. Suddenly there was cynical laughter coming through the line. “Is this fucking sick joke!? Are you trying to get back at me for some shit? What the fuck is wrong with you!?” with each question Alex growling became louder and deeper to the point of it becoming a full-on roar.
“Look man I wouldn’t joke about something like that. Im not fucked up like Benjamin.” Anthony replied trying to keep a level head know the news would shock anyone.
“Huh, I don’t know. I really wonder about that. Are you really any different?” Alexander snarled striking a chord with Anthony. He knew it was a low blow and fucked up but so was the sick shit he was pulling.
Anthony snarled into the phone. “SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LISTEN YOU FUCKING SHIT FOR BRAINS!” growling in frustration because he completely understood where Alex was coming from but understanding only goes so goddamn far. “Listen, damn it! She is alive! If you want to verify go right ahead. Talk to Sammie, seeing as how he was the one who had her body n the fucking first place. Idont know how or why she came back from the dead, but she did. She wandered the desert until she came into our territory and was confronted by the pack.
Subduing her was not easy and only succeeded because she didn’t want to hurt Lottie and that allowed us to chain her with silver chains. A lot has happened since she has been here. “Anthony said with a heavy sigh as he forced calm into his voice.
“I want to see her.” Alexander stated frankly with no infliction of his voice.
“C’mon man, you cant. I know how much she means to you but right now she is not in a place to receive anymore shock. The last time she saw you devastated her. That kind of shock will push her over the edge, and we are trying to keep that from happening.”
Anthony knew that Alexander wanted to argue but he wouldn’t jeopardize her health and safety if possible. “Someone should have fucking told me. She could have seen her fucking children! Now I don’t even know where they are.” Alex held fire in his words, but they were soon cooled with that last statement.
“What do you mean? I thought you and Jason were taking them to New Dawn to live with her pack. What happened?” Anthony asked in pure surprise.
“it’s a long confusing story.’’ Alex stated in frustration. It was his turn to heave a heavy sigh. “Ok I will help you, but I intend to check the info you gave. At some point I want to see her. Seeing me cant be as bad as constantly being around you and your brothers, so don’t give me that.”
“Ok.” Was all Anthony could say or they would continue to go in circles.
“So, what do you want to know?”

Eliora walked down the halls exploring the passageways and different areas. She found the kitchen and debated on getting a bite to eat but that her think of Ro and how he bit her. She lifted her arm to see the scars left from his bite and wondered what her blood tasted like to him. He was as strange a creature as she was. A male banshee vampire. That was pretty dope. She gingerly touched the scars although they didn’t hurt anymore and felt ashamed of the way she reacted, but she stubbornly refused to apologize. She sighed and let her arm drop down to her side.
She had to get rid of this energy. “Hey BJ, isn’t the gym somewhere around here? Why don’t we go hang out there instead, get in a bit exercise.” She said turning to give him a bright smile when she saw Ro and just froze. She was trying to process her thoughts and feelings towards him because they did still lean towards anger but the thought of being angry made her tired and that whole roundabout would send her down a rabbit hole she is trying not to fall into, at least not in current company.
“I thought you would have left by now. Surprised to see you here.” She said nonchalantly, though remembering he was present when Voss sent her to her room like some kid filled her with embarrassment. She turned around to hide her blushing and growled softly. “If you are hungry, the kitchen is over there. We are going to the gym.” She said and grabbed BJ’s arm to try to move away from Ro. Was it childish, very much so though she found it kinda fun. She knew she was too old to act like a child be it surprisingly felt lighthearted, albeit embarrassing.
When she felt her intruding thoughts trying to push through, she turned her attention to an exasperated BJ. “Eliora, we went the wrong way for the gym.” He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

(if time line is wrong let me know)
Chakori watched him as he stared she could tell he was dissociation as his eyes seemed to glaze for for a moment before he turned to look at her. She seemed very concerned even as he looked at her." You need to speak with someone." He smiled one that wasn't a happy one." I do. " She would pat his hand gently." Not Someone that has the same mindset as you. You need something professional." She was referring to him speaking with Sia about and there business. He knew what she meant and tried to deflect what she was desperately trying to say with out setting him off.
He would stand up taking in a deep breath before letting it out as he rubbed the back of his neck. " I .. that would leave me vulnerable to ..." She would shift on the bench staring at him." How? " He turned to look at her. " Well, telling inner most darkest secrets would lay me bare. My emotions are not for others to know. Not what I think or feel. Showing weakness is not a game. It is a death sentence. " She would sigh softly and shake her head." Yes, well you would not be talking to someone that would be able to talk to others. Hence the professional help." He stared at her his eyes searching her face." Are you saying that I need therapy?"
The look on her face as telling that she could not answer the question with out fear. He closed his eyes briefly before he would lean against the statue. " You may speak freely just like everyone else. You are no longer held to the standard of my flesh trade."She would nod her head a little. "Yes, I am perfectly capable of doing your therapy." He laughed and her body stiffened briefly before he waved his hands a little. "If I need therapy so does everyone here. Do you realize most of them did not chose the life they have. It is the best option for them for now. " He sighed before he walked over to her and sat down again."If I do they have to too. I am not going to be the only fool to shed some darkness." She would nod a little and meekly smile." I can not order them to. But you can" She said and he realized she was hoping for this. He he made a scoffing noise before laughed at her cleverness of how she did it." Well I will write up a meeting soon. I will announce it then. " He looked over at Chakori leaning back against the bench." You have your hands full when it comes to Eloria. " She looked at him shocked." That is something deeper then mental stress. Her chakra is not flowing. Part of her is darkened. "He waved his hand as if not wanting to hear it." If I speak on this you will listen to all. It is required." He would not be the only one. " If they are beyond help at least they will know it." She made a face." No one is beyond help if they want it."He would send across the pack link an announcement for a meeting in three hours. "Eli needs your help the most though."He said softly. She let out a sigh," You all do."She herself had someone she used to speak to. It had been a while since she had.

Ro stood stock still watching her his 'feelers' pushed out to take tid bits of her or bj's emotion to gauge the situation. Not ever smile or angry look was read correctly. It was close to a smile when she said she was surprised that he was still there. It turned to a full smile when the next emotion was felt. Seeing her walk off with bj in the wrong direction for the gym made him chuckle. He did not require human food to survive. It was more of a enjoyment and he prefered King's Palace human food.
He would let out a soft breath saying in a whispered voice." Wrong way." He would turn and walk towards the gym. Hearing a few inside he would walk into the area the smell of sweat and wet dog filled the room. Seeing lottie running on a treadmill while her two guards spared with each other like ruffins. He slipped his foot under a weight lifting the hundred pounds as if it was a mere kick ball. before putting it down. He sighed at the lack of gear for them. He figured that this was more to just sweat to then build muscle. He watched as lottie turned up the speed on the treadmill. He was reminded of a spotted deer by her gate though he knew she was the child of Voss. He noticed her eyes on him in the mirror and he averted his eyes quickly once he had realized he was staring far longer then was acceptable. He noticed the two had stopped messing around to stare at him." You come to stare or workout?"
He slowly took off his jacket a wrap around his abs as he slowly pulled them off setting it in a pile as he used the wraps for his hands for boxing. "You will do." He said pulling his boa from its carrier as he swung it around fast it almost looking like a shield with how fast it was going. His abbs were chiseled and his definition made it easy to see how he breathed when preparing. Lottie slowed her run to a walk before stepping off the mill before taking a large swig of water.
Her furry little companion who looked a little disoriented from the area he was sitting in. She would watch her guards who slowly started to take off their shirts as if this was a manly thing to do. She had yet to understand the reasoning behind the brief preening they did before a fight. It however seemed not only a male thing. La la occasionally did so, though some said it was meant to distract her opponent. She shrugged and sat down to watch as the two guards charged ro one trying to grab his weapon and earned a clock to the head with its spinning as he roundhouse kicked the other. They were quick to jump up kicking their shoes off and socks. One had a split lip that healed and the other's had no mark. They stood still watching him carefully as he seemed ignore them as he closed his eyes their anger pooling as he breathed calm.
When they silently moved for him he felt their emotion shift, he would strike out nearly missing one of them but catching on a down strike causing the other to back up quickly as he kept spinning the weapon. Lottie started to giggle as Nox moved from her chest to her shoulder to get a better sniff and view of the blur that was the figures before them. She found what she thought was a dance that Ro was doing to use as a fighting style. She could see visual anger on her gaurds. She did not understand for she thought this was for fun.

Eliora blushed profusely when BJ said she taken them the wrong way. In her haste to get away from Ro, she had taken them the wrong way and gotten lost in what was essentially her own home. Growling softly, she let go of BJ’s arm and huff as her tail swished back and forth irritably. “Shh.” She said and did an about face to head back up the stairs. BJ chuckled softly and simply followed her as she turned around and headed in the correct direction to the gym. They both froze for a moment when they received the message Voss had sent out about a pack meeting in three hours. They both looked at one another before continuing to the gym.
~*~
All who heard the message was confused about the message. Some wondered if it had anything to do with Eliora and the reason, she had come back a complete mess. Some shrugged it off as just random everyday happenings since there was always something going on.
~*~
“You know, its ok that you went the wrong way, it happens. Though I don’t think it is possible to run from your own embarrassment.” BJ stated with a snicker he received a low warning growl in response. He chuckled as they turned down the hall and went into the gym. The scent of sweat was heavy inside and Eliora absently thought they needed to add a bit more elbow grease when cleaning the gym.
The next thing that followed was the sound of fighting. It piqued Eliora’s curiosity though the closer she became to the fighting area the stronger his scent became. She growled low in irritation. She and BJ stood ringside to watch the fight. It was Ro versus Lottie’s guards. She was curious as to what had brought this on and turned to see Lottie enjoying the fight. She smiled and turned her attention back to the combatants. She couldn’t tear her eyes away from his dancing form.
He moved so elegantly and swiftly. She wondered what it had looked like while the two of them were fighting in the rain. She watched his movements closely and they made her antsy, the scars he left throbbed, and she felt her fangs ache. She licked her lips and twisted her tongue in stark irritation and something else she didn’t want to acknowledge. BJ gently bumped her shoulder and brought her out of her thoughts. “Didn’t we come here for you work up a sweat?” he asked causing Eliora to growl at him as she continued to watch the fight it only served to make him laugh.

At the point that Eliora entered the gym and her scent hit him he was well aware of her emotions long before then. Though the room was filling he would pull from only certain people. No need to pull from everyone when some were more appetizing when it came to the overwhelming emotion.
He stepped back as they tried to clamior over each other to get to him. He would jump up on the ring pole, his eyes still closed. " Your rage makes you easy to spot." He said to the two. Though to him theirs was merely a lick or a taste. He was more speaking on Eliora's underlying rage. They snarled lightly as they started for him. " I am through" He said not moving from that spot.
The two of them paused to watch him for a moment. They stiffened in anger at not the chance to regain the honor of being played with by a outsider. One made their way out of the ring as one jumped out of the ring other tried to kick him off the pole. In which he jumped and cracked him on the head.
It was not long that he rubbed his head and slide out of the ring mumbling about being to much of a show off. It was noted they would be seeking a re-match whether inside here or when he was less expecting it. It was then they sat down drinking water.
" That was pretty." Said lottie that Ro gave her a smile and looked over at BJ and Eloria as he spinned his weapon. "Yes, It seems for you heading to the gym I made it first here." he said with a knowing smile. Lottie smiled more seeing Eliora," Eli is a good fighter." She said with a bit of a jump.
~*~
La La paused on working on her motorcycle listening to the message frowning. She had seen as they had gone by, it was a shake of her head as leaned into the motorcycle twisting a bolt with her fingers. A few speaking to her, asking if she knew what was going on. Her response was a curt laugh and scoff in her head. Then a long pause." Eli was being brought into the place. It is probably about that leave me alone I am busy. " She had only a certain amount of time to get her bike back in order. But she guessed that she would not be going anywhere for at least five hours. Depending on how long this meeting was going to be.
~*~
Ro seemed to recuelect for a moment before he smiled." You want to spar?" He asked kicking his shoes off this time he seemed to prefer not wearing shoes anyway as he wiggled his toes seeming as two on each foot were tapped together. He was well aware that she was good at fighting, but he wanted her to step into the ring with him.
He imagined it would keep her thoughts focused on him whether it was anger or the carnal distraction of watching him like she was. Emotion was his favorite sweet treat. Souls were a full meal and by contract was not allow to partake outside of The King's Palace. He took this seriously as was part of his contract. The only exception was in protection of any that he might be assigned to guard outside the Palace. He seemed to relax as he leaned back on the rings rope his stick still in one of his hands.
His eyes flitted to Lottie for a moment seeing she was sitting by the edge of the ring. He was not long on looking at her. "Or perhaps You would prefer to fight me?" It was not snarky more intrigued if her personal guard would want to fight him.

Eliora could understand the feeling the twins had of unfinished business. The want to continue fighting until satisfied. She couldn’t help but laugh at the way they exited the ring. She smiled at Lottie when she called their fighting pretty. She had to agree with her god daughter it was pretty and very enjoyable to watch.
When Ro spoke to her, she stiffened in embarrassment and could hear BJ stifling a laugh. “So what? It wasn’t a race.” She said with a soft growl. Eliora gave a small smile to Lottie at her compliment. “Thank you, Lottie.” She said wondering if that was Lottie’s way of saying she wanted her to go next. She honestly didn’t think she was that good of a fighter. She didn’t fight gracefully nor methodically. As time had passed, she felt it’d become wilder whenever she was forced to fight since she spent so much time trying not to fight.
She was so mixed up when it came to violence, most times she wasn’t sure how she was supposed to react. One moment she didn’t want to be associated with it and the next she wanted to bathe in the blood of her enemies. Of course, back then she had that nagging voice of her shadow egging her on. It was nice not to have her screaming in her head. When it came to Ro, he pissed her off on another level though the fact that he went out of his way to help her kept it in check. Being around Lottie also kept it at bay.
When Ro asked if she wanted next, for a moment she’d become excited and would have readily said yes but she wasn’t sure what effects not having her shadow had. She didn’t want to put Lottie or the others in needless danger. Being angry and pissed off at him was one thing but getting carried away in a fight that was meant to only be for fun was another story. Though all of that went out the window when he asked Lottie if she wanted to fight. It was an innocent question with no malice behind his words. He was a dangerous being like that woman during the trials and she didn’t want him getting too close to her.
Eliora growled dangerously in warning. The idea of anyone raising a hand at Lottie had her protective instincts going batshit. She was family, a child in comparison, and they were to always be protected.
“No.” Eliora said in a dangerously cold voice as she tried to pull herself back. “I will fight you.” No one here was going to hurt Lottie, she was safe. She tried to reason with herself all the while bloodred started to slowly seep into the gold of her eyes.
“Eliora.” BJ called out to her cautiously though she only had eyes for Ro. She bounced on her toes before launching herself from the floor over the ropes to stand between Lottie and Ro. “I am fine, BJ. I promise.” She said as she had gotten a bit of control over her instincts. It was ironic how she was being so overly protective when not too long ago she was trying to kill herself. If she was dead, how would she have protected her then? Well, there were ways for her to do so, but it wouldn’t be the same. She went back and forth with her conscious until her need to protect began to recede slowly. “I guess I will be your opponent.” She muttered.
