( Voss) The sun was setting, a beautiful explosion of rich hues of orange and purple that filled the sky as it made it’s descent. The dying embers of the setting sun caused the very shadows to dance around her. The gentle breeze caused her long white hair to to lift as it passed through and she moved it from her face as she tried not to hold back her tears. The scent of summer, blooming flowers, sweet waters, the acrid smoke of campfires did nothing to help her mounting sorrow. Eliora sat there in a pair of blue shorts and a white camisole top, the only clothes that she had to her name since she left Black Ash. she sat there with her knees pulled to her chest as she watched the setting sun. She silently wept, her sorrow refusing to be pushed aside. Her heart hurt. No, not her heart, her very soul wept. She angrily wiped at her tears only to have more replace them. She laid her head on her knees and just cried. She was pained. She was forgotten and she had forgotten. She didnt know if Anthony had told her the truth about her family, but the further away from Black Ash she went, the worse the sorrow and the pain became. The sickeningly sweet voice of her shadow was the only thing that kept her company. Even the constant egging on that it did for her to forsake everything and give in to her darkness, was drowned out by her sorrow for everything that she had lost. What had she lost? She lost her guardian, her family, her mate, her pack. She lost everything that she had worked so hard to gain. She truly thought that there was no way for her to gain that back. What would she do if she found her children, if they even existed? She would be a complete stranger to them. They would not know of hr and would turn away from her. How would she handle that? She lost her connection to her family. She could not go to them for comfort as she once did. She was alone. They were lost to her until the day she died...again. She lost the bond that she had with her mate. That thought gave her pause and she could feel the sorrow of a different kind swell up within her as a pain mixed in with her sorrow. She died and when she did, it cut that mate bond she’d had with Darian. It was what happened when Chris had been killed by his father. She knew this feeling very well and had hoped to have never felt it again. But no, fate would not smile on her. Had he moved on and found another? It has been well over two years since she had died and she’d been dead for two weeks. She shook her head and sobbed. She couldnt expect him to withhold himself for that long. The most damning of all and the source of the majority of her pain and sorrow was the loss of her guardian. She had lost the one constant in her life. She had been a mother, friend , and protector. It was Eliora’s fault that she was gone, chained to a monster for all of eternity. That is how she repaid the one person in her life that meant the most to her. There was no way to fix what she had done and she had to live with that but it ate at her very soul. Her train of thought brought a fresh bout of tears streaming down her face. Her hair fell about her like a white curtain isolating her even more from the rest of the world. “You waste your tears over things you can not change. Get mad and do something with all of this energy.” Her shadow whispered to her as it danced in the dying light. “Why do I even bother with living? There is nothing for me here. I shouldnt have come back. Why didnt I just stay dead? It would hurt so much less.” She asked rhetorically. Her shadow stopped dancing almost as if it were in thought. “Why kill yourself when you can take the lives of others?” It asked almost curiously. It knew that if Eliora were to die before it had a chance to completely consume her soul then it would die right along with her. Eliora snarled at the shadow. “I dont want to kill anymore!” “Not even your family’s murderers?” The shadow scoffed then laughed at her. “That is different.” Eliora said softly. “I dont see how. Seriously what kind of wolf lets that happen to their people and do nothing about it?” The shadow asked snidely. “I said it’s not like that!” Eliora snarled and struck the earth with her claws where the shadow had been, leaving deep grooves. “So no justice at all, huh?” It asked unphased by her actions. Eliora could see what the shadow was trying to do and she refused to do it.it wanted her to go and walk a path of sheer destruction like she had before. She refused. “How can they rest easy knowing that you would rather be among their killers rather than keep your promise you made to them?” Aroile said pushing forward. Eliora’s misery and despair fed it, though her anger and destruction gave it power. “I dont want to kill anyone else. I dont want to see how happy everyone is without me. I am so tired and there is nothing left for me here.” Eliora said softly as she began to weep in earnest. There was no escaping the feeling of bereavement. It was as constant as the shadow that whispers in her ear. She was so tired of being afraid, angry and full of sorrow. It was weighing her down and she didnt think that she could carry it anymore or that she even wanted to anymore. So there she sat on a ledge facing the last bit of light from the setting sun as she wept. No matter how much she wept though , there was no escaping her sorrow. She looked to the night sky and watched as the stars came out to dance while mother Luna overlooked them all. Such a sight used to bring her peace and calm but it only served to sadden her more. She had regained some of her memories but apparently not the most important ones like having children, killing Benjamin, exactly how she died, and what happened to her after she died. Although at this point, she was done trying to remember. What good would it do her? With tears running down her face, she sniffed and stood to her feet as she looked over the ledge down to the sharp jutting rocks that rested below. There was no longer any reason for this existence,it was fucked up. “You are a coward.” her shadow hissed and moved angrily as she took a step back from the ledge. ”Things not going your way so you give up,taking the coward’s way out at that?!” it scoffed. “You area worthless soul. It’s a wonder that they even let you come back in the first place. But no, they felt like sending you back would serve a higher purpose. I hope they didnt put all of their money on you. If so they are betting on a losing horse.” Aroile said as it wrapped itself around her but it could do no physical harm to her. “Go ahead and kill us both.JUMP!” It snapped. Eliora flinch as she continued t overlook the rocks. She was also trying to wrap her mind around all that the shadow had spoken. It was pointless, though. It only served to cause more pain. She closed her golden eyes and simply allowed her anguish to overtake her. What was the point in trying to stop it anymore? With a sob, she opened her eyes and walked off the cliff. She relaxed and stared up at the dancing stars, watching Luna as she continued her descent. Soon she would be among them, among her family. She knew that suicide was deeply frowned upon but she felt she had no other option for respite. Her hair tangled around her and flew about her as the wind whipped her and dried her tears as soon as they would fall. She closed her eyes and welcomed the impact that would take her where she wanted to go.

Ro stood at the window covered in dried blood spatter as he tugged his tie off dropping it to the floor. The sky looked beautiful in its many hues and colors his eyes focused on it for a moment as he would take a washcloth wiping the blood off him. He changed into another set of clothes, a jacket without a shirt and a pair of slacks. His ritual after working someone over for a punishment that may have tipped him to unseen amounts, something that often had him standing by an unconscious body. His feeding still unstable that he often lost control in the dungeon.
He sighed as he walked outside into the dying light of the sun sniffing the air smelling something sweet on the wind, like rain calling to the evening sky; a storm rolling through? He walked out of town following that feeling in the air that called to him behind a what he figured was a storm rolling in. He needed to clear his head of the high from the fear he had consumed before eating the poor girl's soul, he had been tasked with disposing of her for what reason he was not told. He left her like a lobotomized patient sitting in a chair, the personality gone from her body still living. Taking a soul from a still living person left them like empty clay dolls. He had yet to devour a woman's soul that he could remember at least.
In truth, he had been standing in his room for hours after he had finished his meal, the high once he had eaten her soul was gone instantly. He did not know if he liked the switch in emotion so quickly, though for now, he felt somewhat full. Though he still had a thirst for liquids. He had been drinking water even though he knew what he thirsts for, or assumed because he read that vampires craved blood. He wondered if the mixture of both pangs of hunger held him in this kind of high state of need, now it was slacked for one it was less hard on him to seek it. Though he refused to drink blood wondering if he did that he might slaughter the entire King's Palace.
He shook his head as his mind would not stop thinking about all these horror-ish ends of terror. Pi being a member of King's Palace he could not accept these Idea's that flitted in his head, even if only a concept for the moment. His stride was rather quick as the smell behind the hidden rain to become stronger and a pull of emotion called to him. It was a deep sorrow that had no bottom. Tracking the emotion was easy to pinpoint out this far was the land shifted up making cliffs and steep rises in the land. A few droplets of rain started to speckle the ground coming from the heavens above, the night was bright with stars the moon show of the heavens. Clouds spread along the moon like silver strands of hair covering a shy maidens face, his sharp eyes focused on falling debris?
He moved quicker towards the towering cliff in large strides jumping using the ground to rocket himself forward and at the last jump, he would push himself into the air with a force that broke the ground. Him meeting the falling body was hard causing the sound of something hitting the ground with force, his boa pushing into the cracks of the cliff to slow the descent. His arms that held the falling body to him had claws dug into the clothing and possible flesh to keep the person from jerking away from the impact. His jacket flying away showing his muscles along with his yakuza tattoos.
He knew that a few of his ribs snapped from the collision and that bruises might show later despite the healing. His foot was rooted against the boa helping to hold it against the wall, the descent would have normally scared anyone. He seemed to have a steeled look on his face more seeming of an annoyance than anything. He pushed from the wall going up a bit then down again, it seemed to slow considerably that he stepped off to the ground without a stumble.
"Are you out of your mind?" He said setting her down gently his anger bubbling. Though she had not asked for assistance he had seemed the need to intervene. The reason lost to him his anger was there but the speech he had on his tongue fizzled away. He sighed pulling the emotion from the air around him for about twenty feet. Needing his own emotion gone so that he could perhaps talk her out of climbing up again to try once more. There was only one reason to be falling off the cliff if you could call that a fall.

The rush of the wind around her whirled i her ears and was almost deafening but oddly lulled her to sleep. For just a brief moment she dreamed. She dreamed of being reunited with her family and of the world that waited for her just beyond the veil. More than anything, she wanted that. She could see Lanani in her mind’s eye, could hear her voice as she spoke to her and fussed at her for what she was doing.. The lilt in her voice was always gentle on her ears and she always enjoyed listening to it even when she was being fussed at.
“What in blue blazes are you doing, Eli?”
“I’m so tired,Nani. I miss you so much and i have lost everything.”
“Oh Eli.” Lanani said and a sad expression claimed her face. “Baby girl, there is a reason for everything.” She said and reached a hand out to touch Eliora’s cheek.
“I truly don't think that is true anymore. But should that be the case, how much must one person go through before they break? I can't do this anymore, Nani.” Eliora said and leaned into the caress as tears ran down her face. They were like a never ending river but Eliora thought nothing of them. She had become so used to them that they no longer register in her mind as being present.
“Eliora, you are not one to give up. You are still needed here. You have children who needs their mother. Benjamin is gone and no longer a threat hanging over you.”
“Nani ,i’m at the end of my rope. There’s nothing left for me here. My children have grown up without me. They don't know me. They don't need me. As for Benjamin,he may be dead but the ones who murdered my family still lives. What should i do about them?” Eliora was quiet a moment and scoffed. “Can't do much now, i jumped off a cliff.” she said with a dry laugh.
“Eliora. Really think about that. The one who is responsible for their death died by your hands.”
“No! Antwan and Antonio killed them! Not Benjamin! I saw them! I...saw them.” Eliora said and moved away from Lanani’s touch.
“Do not let your emotions blind you Eli. They were just as much of a victim of Benjamin’s as you were.”
“Yea but i didn't go around kil-.” Eiora abruptly stopped herself as realization hit her. She growled low and shook her head. “ It’s not the same it's different.” she said sullenly. Lanani scoffed.
“Why? Because it was your family that had been Killed? What about the surviving family members of the ones that you killed?”
Those words struck her right in her heart. Lanani didnt let up. “So you are the only one that is allowed to redeem themselves? Did those who work for Benjamin not save you and your children?”
“ I dont know!” Eliora screamed.
“Shh…it’s ok.” Lanani cooed. “They were ready to give their lives to save your children, Eliora. You have seen for yourself that they are not as fucked up as you once thought. The things that they did were by order of Benjamin.”
“Did he also tell them to rape my mom as she watched her children being killed?” Eliora snarled not liking that Lanani would try to forgive that action.
“Im sure he did not, but they are a product of their environment.”Lanani said softly and Eliora scoffed. “ Do you really think that your family would have wanted you to waste your life on revenge for something like that?” Lanani demanded.
Eliora was quiet a moment as she thought it over. She knew deep down that her family would be sorely disappointed that she was wasting her life. She gave a short derisive laugh as she realized that she was arguing with herself.
Lanani wasnt really there. She was still in the deepest depths of the veil imprisoning a dangerous spirit beast that was hell bent on destroying shit. Not to mention she jumped off a fucking cliff. She was pretty sure it was too late to be having second thoughts.
Her tears were never ending and stung as the wind whipped at it. There was no point in going back and forth with herself. Whats done was done. She knew that her family would want her to live a full and happy life. She knew this but she just couldnt take it anymore. With one last sigh she braced herself for impact.
Impact came but it wasnt the one that she had readied herself for and so she gave a surprised yelp before her breath was snatched from her from the impact of a strong muscled body hit her and strong arms locked around her. The feel of claws digging into her shoulder and legs had her anger mounting. When she was able to drag a little air into her lungs it was pushed out again by another jump.
She could feel her fangs elongating causing her jaw to ache as well as feel the brush of fur beneath her skin as she teetered on the brink of a shift. When she felt the hard ground beneath her from where he placed her on the ground, she leapt away from him and crouched on all fours growling at him as her eyes changed. They were sectoral violet and gold.
“Ha! One more thing that you cant even get right.” Aroile said in a scathing tone.
“Shut up!” Eliora growled at it. “Make yourself useful and kill that thing. Dont worry about the need to feel guilty, its not werewolf or human.” Aroile mocked.
“I dont want to kill anything.” Eliora said on a sob. “He should have just let me die.”
“Hmm, lets taste his blood first and see if he needs any seasonings.” Aroile said offhandedly, completely ignoring Eliora. “ He stopped you from killing yourself. Kill him for the audacity.Drink his blood and mark his flesh. You know you want to. I can feel your anger. Come on and treat yourself.” It cooed in a singsong voice and Eliora could see it dance on the ground beside her.
“ I wont.” Though despite herself, her anger mounted as she looked at the man who had saved her life. “Why did you save me!” she growled and glared at him. Her claws growing and raking the dirt as if she imagined raking them along his skin. “You had no right to do that.” She snarled and dug her claws in the ground as if to anchor herself.
The brush of fur became more persistent and her joints ached as she held back her shift while glaring at him with her gold and violet eyes. “I hope you dont expect me to say ‘thank you’ because im not.” She growled and arched as her joints popped.

He watched her crouch like an animal a ways away from him, a small smile graced his lips briefly as she snarled at him. Though his face went back to stoic his features emotionless; his mind was running a mile a minute with strategies, having stayed briefly among the werewolves of Black Ash he knew she was one of their kind with the lingering of her scent.
Were's or shifters had a distinct smell of their very own, each different variations with an undertone of wet dog? That only became more strong when the shift being just on the verge of pushing forward. His eyes focused on hers, the colors vibrant and mesmerizing to him. The sky opened up from a drizzle to a downpour. His tongue had slid across his lips catching the scent in the air before the blanket wet covered it. " No, I would not expect someone that broken to give thanks. " He seemed to want to be sympathetic, but that was cut by the next words he said.
" I was just not aware that were's had the ability to die from a fall of that height? " He would let out a sigh as he gently scratched his abs. " I mean what would have you done if you merely just broke your back? Does your body pop bone back into place like vampires? " He would step a few paces closer shoving his hands into his pockets. " I broke three ribs just breaking your fall."
He tilted his head a little as if in thought, " You," The pause was brief." Well, you don't give me the feel of a coward." He moved towards her his focus was really on trying to pull her emotion from the air. " So why the jump? Too afraid to eat a bullet? To final for you?"
He narrowed his eyes a little as he kept slowly moving towards her, his hands moving from his pockets the pang of thirst jumped. His mouth was salivating swallowing hard he managed not to break eye contact unless she closed her eyes. " I mean it seems more like angst teenage drama to jump from a cliff. You do not strike me as a pup. "His power seeped out like invisible smoke or a growing spider web. " Though everyone tends to be wrong from time to time."
He thought she felt familiar for some reason, it was something he could taste in the air before. His eyes shined liked dogs in the darkness, though they were silver in color. Bending down he would pick up his boa once more, he had dropped in favor of keeping her in his arms when he had landed. He let out a breath slowly as electricity collected inside his mouth. He didn't notice it; but if he had, well he would have been surprised, to say the least.

“Come on” Came that sickeningly sweet voice that wanted her to give in and rip into this asshole standing in front of her. Despite her trying to hold herself back, she could feel her control slipping. The feel of the rain should have been a relief but it made her skin hurt and irritated her even more. “He’s right there!Kill him!” her shadow demanded as it felt the waning of its power. It hadnt registered before but now? It felt it and it didnt like it in the least. It was trying to hhide its panic as Eliora fought against her shift.
“Good.” Eliora growled at him as she watched him but it soon turned into a half moan before she snarled and snapped her teeth at him. She really saw him. He was tall and well muscled with a hick chest and wide shoulders. Her eyes were drawn to his tattoos as his hands scratched his ribs. Eliora met his eyes again with a blazing glare.
“The height and speed, not to mention the fucking impact of those fucking jagged rocks would have done the job just fine.” She snarled at him not wanting to think that her attempt wouldn't have worked. She was hoping that the impact would have burst her head open, severed her brain from her body or even pierced her heart. If a simple broken back was her resulting injury, she’d have simply waited to heal before trying it again.
“Why the flying fuck do you even care,Ro?! If I wanted to have a quick death then surely i would have “eaten a bullet” as you’ve so politely put it. That would be too easy. I welcome death. Unlike most people, i actually know what awaits me on the other side and its a helluva lot better than this shit.” She spat as her lips curled. Yes, she remembered him, albeit vaguely. She'd met him during the trials for Black Ash.
Listening to his words was causing her to get angrier. Though it was then that she realized that her emotions were being drained the more she got worked up. It caused her to become a bit dizzy and bewildered but the sickening voice of her shadow caused her to shake that off pretty quick.
“Argh! Kill that bastard! Kill him now!” it was the first time since her shadow made itself known that she heard fear and panic in its voice as it spoke to her. “He had the audacity to meddle in your business. I bet Voss sent him after you after letting you go. Men never keep their word and always want you to be subservient to them.” it gave a mirthless laugh.”And you spared their pathetic lives. How’s that working out for you?”
“Shut up! It's not like that! Voss is a man of his word.” Eliora growled as her anger began to mount once more and Aroile would do whatever it took to stoke that anger despite it being drained as soon as it was gathered.
“Really? How well do you even know these people? They are in bed with your enemies and yet you spared them. But hell , what do i know, you spared those fuckers too.” came the derisive reply in a sweet singsong voice that held a tinge of fear.
“They changed.people change.” Eliora replied breathlessly before crying out in pain as more of her bones popped out of place. “Really? So them killing your family the way they did was ok because they have turned a new leaf?” it laughed at her out right. “They enjoyed what they did. They do that type of shit for a living but its ok because they ‘said’ that they changed? Do you even have proof that what they said about benjamin was actually the truth? Where’s the evidence to back up their claim? You’re such a stupid girl believing everything that you are told so easily. No wonder they did what they did to you.”
The shadow was ripping open old wounds and causing new ones. It hurt. Eliora’s sadness fought against her anger, but that fight seemed short lived. It felt like her emotions were like running water in an open drain they continued to flow but was being drained at the same rate. Her anger, sorrow, pain, etc was being taken from her. She didn't know what he was but he seemed dangerous. His scent gave him away as being vampire, thick, musky, more reptile than mammal yet it didn't hold that distinct scent of death mixed with dirt. There was something else about his scent that told her that vampire was only part of his make up.
She had Aroile screaming at her in her head and him speaking to her in her ear. She was having a hard time focusing on any one thing. So she locked her golden violet eyes with his silver ones, they were like liquid mercury. She could no longer speak though it was clear that her body language warned him not to get much closer.
She listened intently to him as he spoke. She could feel everything seep out of her and she didn't know what to make of it. “YOU STUPID BITCH! THAT'S WHY I SAID FOR YOU TO FUCKING KILL HIM!” Aroile snarled at Eliora and pumped pure adrenaline through her in her attempt to save herself and her waning power. Feeding off of her sorrow was one thing being empowered by her anger was something completely different and this Guy threatened both. He was too dangerous.
The sudden rush of adrenaline filling her body pushed her over the edge of shifting and she ripped through her shift in seconds. Her eyes had turned blood red as blood lust raged through her veins. She stood 8 feet tall and was now much heavier and stronger in her Gauru. She flexed her massive claws and snarled at him. Her only concern and foremost thought was tasting his blood and flesh. She licked her chops as her claws itched to rip through his flesh. All reason was out the window leaving only her blood lust to be satiated. She snarled and whipped her tail back and forth in anticipation as she watched him slowly pick up his boa.

He realized now who he was dealing with, at least by name and sight. He understood now why she was familiar, he narrowed his eyes a little before letting a breath out much like a sigh the lightning crackled along his lips his fingers twitched with the same crackling between them. Though it was a color of a soul a blue-green ethereal charge between both, his boa was made of ironwood. Strong.
It was the embodiment of his physical strength and the etchings on it was for his chi. This became an extension of his body when he wielded it, he would swirl it and hit the ground as the ethereal sparked and arched off the boa. He would slide the weapon behind him as his other free hand would come forward, his fingers would wiggle toward him twice. It was as if he was asking her to come at him, the more he ate her emotion seemed to reopen the high he felt when he ate the soul.
His attention was focused on her deeply as if trying to peek inside of her, deep into her soul. The sparks were now flowing across his body drawing his attention from her, " Why do I care? " He had no idea why he was stopping her. All he knew is he felt the sadness in the air, it was palatable to the point of tasting it. The rain was hardly a barrier this close.
" There has to be a reason to answer the call of sorrow?" He was quick in his step moving between raindrops as if time was slowing down, he would swing the boa for her head in hopes to knock her out. The thought of drinking from her came to his mind even as she was in the form she was, it was the smell of her that drove him to see what her blood would taste like.
His fangs were un-capped glistening in the single moon in the sky. His teeth were like pearl white, unstained by blood, the knowledge of the ability did not give him the ability to drink. Some blood was poisonous to his banshee side, he so far was torn between exploration of his thirst. Through his outstretched hands, the sparks arched off towards her. Feeling the sadness was like a well that had no bottom.
He noticed that even with no bottom that well filled quickly with only sorrow so dark there was no end. He had heard that she was troubled from enough whispers from the Black Ash, he wondered why she wasn't with them still, but first, he had to get her past this part to figure it out. Only if he was lucky he might see the other side.

Eliora saw the sparks and for a split second, she thought it was a beautiful sight, the way it arched and seemed to dance about him and caress his skin. As quickly as that moment came, it also passed and she couldn't hold on much longer. The beast didn't care for any of that, she wanted to feel his flesh under her claws and taste his blood on her tongue. Eliora could feel herself sinking into the background of her mind as Aroile tried to snatch the reigns from her in her weakness, the need for his death a powerful thing. The beast snarled and flexed its claws as its body tensed, it paid no heed to the ethereal charge as it looked for an opening. The beast was more focused on one thing and that was sating the bloodlust that sang to it as it coursed through her veins; not the erratic emotions that drove and consumed her human self.
The beast watched his movements closely, licking its chops almost in anticipation of the fight that he looked ready to give. A silent snarl on its lips when he motioned for it to come forth, it was happy to oblige.
~*~ Eliora was bogged down by the weight of her overwhelming emotions and drowning in a sea of her sadness and whenever she tried to get above it, she was hit with another wave. The feeling of hopelessness choked her and stole what little air she could drag into her lungs. She soon found herself in the middle of a pure white room on her knees bent over weeping; the curtain of her fallen hair providing the only darkness to be found.
‘Just give in and set me free. You are weak. You can't handle something so simple as your own emotions, its no wonder no one bothered coming for you. You are worthless and pathetic. You don't deserve breath in your body. Since you have come back, what have you done to even deserve the second chance at life that was given to you? Certainly, nothing worthwhile because those bastards are still alive and well’. Aroile snarled at Eliora relentless in her efforts to consume her. ‘You don't even want to be here! Just do us both a favor and give in. I promise it will be painless for you. You’d simply cease to exist. I’ll make it easy for you. No more suffering.” her voice would alternate between singsong sweet to demonically demanding.
Eliora seemed to waver for a second but it quickly passed. Giving in to that thing meant that she wouldn't be able to see her family ever again. There would be nothing left of her. “I..I cant…. I won't! You are the one who should not even exist!”
“You stupid bitch! If you only knew what my existence felt like, you wouldn't be so fucking high and mighty. I shouldn't exist?! And what you do? Why? Because that lying bitch you call your Goddess graced you with a second?!” Aroile gave a derisive laugh. “You're more stupid than I originally thought.”
In the darkness a pair of rich violet eyes peered up at Eliora, meeting her golden ones. For a moment they stared at one another; one with pure anger and disgust the other with soul-wrenching sorrow yet there was a steely determination within their depths. “It's pointless to fight me,” Aroile said in a deadpan voice. Eliora simply closed her eyes and leaned her head onto her knees and continued to weep
~*~
At the sound of his voice, the beast tilted its head as if listening, though that was not the case. It was merely taking him in, watching him intently with deep blood-red eyes as he moved, looking for that moment when he would strike. When the moment came and he struck out towards its head, it did a quick side step and moved forward in the same motion to stay in close as it struck out with a clawed right hand hoping to eviscerate him. No sooner had it struck out, it moved away from him, careful not to slip on the wet ground. It snarled and jumping back from the sparks that had caught it. It shook out its fur to get rid of the excess rain and the pain of getting shocked before it charged him.

Ro hair hung before him now long about his face covering it. It was draining of its darkness as if the moon was pulling it to the sky and filling it with its silver look. The strikes were fast sinking into his flesh ripping through his skin. A cry of the female banshee was said to be chilling.
His cry sounded like a female with a masculine undertone. As if two people were screaming at the same time. Blood was now upon the claws of the creature, the wound was healing fairly quick on him he would use the bo as an extension of himself.
If the weapon made contact with the beast the charge would be shot through it. His fingernails were growing rapidly turning to a point, fangs elongating with a second set conforming to his mouth. The amount of emotion that was being pulled intensified at his transformation. His claws could slice through flesh just as easily as the beasts now. His hunger was still driving him, the need he had fought for so long now called to him. Maddening him.
His fangs ached with the need to sate the thirst, the hunger. He would beat back the beast or lose to its prowess. He would swing headstrong into the beast pushing through regardless if it swung at him. If he did not heal fast enough he would drop like a rock. The rocks beneath his feet made him unsteady as the monster before him slipping he would reach for the hair of the beast.

The beast gave Ro a steely glare as it brought its bloodied claw to its mouth and licked Ro’s blood. The immediate rush of ecstasy was unbelievable. His blood was like a sweet indescribable heavenly nectar. It stunned the beast to the point of momentarily immobilizing it. It was literally a shock to it’s system as little electrical shocks marked the trail of blood through its system. Its eyes seemed to dilate and its senses became stronger for a second before going back to normal. It licked its chops wanting more even as it licked its claws clean, growling the entire time.
The man’s cry pierced it’s sensitive ears causing it to howl in pain as it clawed its ears before locking it’s eyes on Ro once more. It snarled at him and charged him head-on. The beast roared as the pain and shock from the boa hit it full force though it lasted for only a moment as it struck out at Ro and pushing through to get to his center. When Ro slipped, the beast snarled and tried to make a quick pivot on the balls of its feet so that it could grab him and sink its teeth into his flesh and taste the heavenly nectar that was his blood. But its momentum along with the rain and mud caused it to slip and fall.
It started to push to its feet when it felt a sharp pain in its tail. It whipped its head around and saw that Ro had latched onto her tail. In the blink of an eye, it turned and went straight for Ro with a heart-stopping snarl. ~*~
Eliora could feel the constant pull of her emotions and was grateful for the momentary respite, but it seemed as if the more they were taken from her the more intense her sorrow and desolation became. She felt as if she were being torn apart by her own emotions.
Then suddenly she felt pure peace and whole. It caused her to lift her head wondering what that brief respite was and where it had come from. Her heart raced and a sense of anxiety filled her but that too was overpowered by her eternal sadness. Her tears fell down her cheeks in rivers.
There was a disembodied snarl as Aroile manifested in front of Eliora. She struck out claw her but her hands went right through, having no effect on her at all. “Argh!! You are a good for nothing stupid bitch. Do you not realize what we are dealing with right now? That thing out there is trying to kill us and yet you still hold me back. We have to kill him before he kill us! Give in to me now so i can save us!”
Eliora didnt even bother looking up at her. “ this is just another ploy to consume me and end my existence. Im not as stupid as you think.” Eliora snarled softly. Aroile snarled right back causing Eliora to flinch. “ you’re right youre not as stupid as i think you are, you’re fucking stupider! Why cant you understand that i am just trying to save us!?”
“Youre just trying to save yourself! You care nothing for me just that i dont die before you have the chance to consume me. Ro is not trying to kill us...me. He tried to save me...” Eliora said through her tears as she pictured his face after he had let her go after catching her in a free fall. Her heart began to ache and the pain intensified. She cried out as even more tears fell down her cheeks. She felt as if she would burst and it took her breath away as she gasped for breath.
“Come on, Eli. just give in and let me put you at rest.” Aroile said in a soft melodic voice as she sidled up beside Eliora who shook her head defiantly as she clutched her chest and sobbed.

Ro had felt the concussion of skin and fur as they had fallen together, he had been faster in recovery it seemed as he griped her tail in his clawed hands. He would let the electricity course through his hands into her body letting out another cry of the banshee. It was something he repeated a few times knowing from the first time it had been enough to stun the beast.
Then he began to drag her towards the cliff base, he wanted to be able to gain purchase to hold fast against her. He had not seen anything so beautiful as this dangerous creature, legend by sheer sight alone. The mud was making it difficult to drag her, he needed a upper hand.
Another hunger pulled at him telling him to eat her soul. He let out another scream as he descended upon her. He would try and feed his thirst to sate one of his vices. He hoped to endure not dying from her blood. He would try and seek the flesh to purchase on.
The electricity would slip along his body like electric cling with an extra punch. He thought the beast was only becoming more angry. The well open to him like an endless platter his need would still be rising if he could not find purchase with his doubled fangs.

The beast stopped short at the sound of the banshee’s cry, it clawed at its ears and shook its head trying to rid itself of the piercing noise, but it only served to shake rain, mud, and blood from her white fur. The pain in its backside was like the crash of waves as it came and went. When Ro began to drag it, it tried to claw and dig in the ground to stop him but its claw simply cut through the soil like some sort of gardening tool.
Growling it twisted and took a swipe at Ro looking to either force him to let go or cut open his flesh. The thought of tasting him egged on its bloodlust and hunger. With a snarl, it would do a small forward roll motion to gain its feet and launch itself at Ro once more. It fought through the pain of the electricity that struck it, roaring its defiance as it went for his throat, wanting more than anything to sink its teeth into his flesh.
~*~
Eliora gasped and closed her eyes as wave after wave of shock hit her. She didn’t know what to make of this. She only knew that it made her heart race even faster and the sensation of her heart about to burst intensified to the point that she began to claw at her chest as she cried out. It was a cross between pleasure and pain. She growled as she huffed and puffed when she was given respite.
“Let...me...help… you…” Aroile said weakly. The shadow creature hated how weak it was becoming and snarled. “He’s going to kill us, why cant you see that?”
Eliora’s breathing was coming in short as she looked at her shadow. She didnt know what was going on nor what to do, but she knew for sure that if anything happened to her shadow self it would not bode well for her. “How long do you think you could live without your shadow?” Aroile demanded as she fed on Eliora’s uncertainty and doubt. “ not long thats for damn sure.” Aroile snarled.”
Eliora had no control over the beast and controlling it was the only thing that she could see to save any of them. Aroile snarled and gathered all of the strength she possessed and pushed her way into Eliora, causing her to scream in agony.

Ro would swing back from the beast catching another blow to the midsection letting out a scream once more.
The water crashed against the side of the boat, voices were heard but from a distance. Once cold and wet felt somewhat dry and naked. The language that was spoken was rough broken English. Vision clearing men standing over his body looking at him oddly speaking to each other. " You? " One motioned to him.
He would sit up rubbing his head things becoming clearer that a need brushed his core that he felt himself melt away into himself. A beast of death came forth only to rip those that had saved him to shreds. All but one. Leaving him asleep once more. The one who asked his name remained, he could have slew Ro but remained watching over him with a smile that spoke he had used for such a beast.
He would snap back letting out a scream again longer this time trying to keep out of the reach of the beast before him. It was not easy to fight with the skin that you wore crawled with a need that you could not sate when the prey would not remain still before you.
Between screams, he edged back to the large beast intent on sinking his double fangs into its furred flesh. To drink and do so deeply as he could, it would be the beast or him at the end that won.

The beast snarled as it began to claw at its ears once more creating deep bloody wounds on the sides of her head. When the scream stopped it shook its head and became slightly dizzy but the sensation soon went away and it charged him once more. He had given it an opening when he seemed to go into a daze, or so it thought. Ro seemed to come back to himself and let loose another scream that had it nearly ripping its ears off. It snarled and struck out blindly. It tried to rid itself of the scream but its ears were currently ringing.
It sensed Ro coming in closer and moved accordingly. It stood on its hind legs and flexed its claws as it headed straight for Ro wanting to rip him apart if it was the last thing it did. When they clashed and it felt the sharp pang of his fangs in its arm as it was brought up in defense. It was a reaction that it was not used to having and it clearly didnt like it. It tried to fling him off but after a few tries it reached for his hair attempting to grab a handful and yank him off.
Its movements were becoming slower and its healing began to slow as well. It could feel a deep pull not just from its veins but also deep within and its fight intensified. It yanked its arm upward, with Ro still attached if he hadnt gotten knocked off, and opened its large jaws only to snap them shut on whatever part of his body that was unfortunate enough to get caught in its mouth and it would begin to try to forcefully rip him off while enjoying the sweet sweet nectar that was Ro’s blood. Of course the electricity coming off of him was getting harder and harder to withstand but it only caused it to sank its teeth in deeper. ~*~
Eliora’s screams echoed in her mind as she burned from the inside out. She clawed her skin, leaving deep bloody scratches. “NO! Get out! I do not submit to you!.” even with the overwhelming emotional storm that she was constantly weathering Eliora held strong and would not submit to the shadow no matter what. If she did it would mean the end of everything that she held dear and she refused to be the cause of that ever again.
She could feel the ice-cold burning tendrils of Aroile as she tried to consume her but Eliora wouldnt make it easy for her. Memories flashed before her. She saw the faces of her lost family and her found family. She saw faces that she had come to love despite the hate she held for them. She would protect them. For all intents and purposes, they were her family and family was to be protected. She was surprised at the level of attachment she felt for them but it merely strengthened her resolve and fight.
“You will not win!.” She snarled. Aroile was silent as she pressed for some sort of ground on Eliora’s soul. She couldnt afford to be distracted nor reply, no matter how much her scathing replies burned her throat like acid.
Eliora’s breathing was becoming short and choppy as she fought, but she would continue to do so.Even if it killed them both in the process.
~*~ Tal stared broken heartedly as he watched Eliora’s struggle. He was in no position to interfere and so all he could do was watch helplessly as one of the last of his descendants fought against her own destruction. He and Luna had both been watching but upon seeing the fight Eliora was having with both the male and her shadow self ,Luna turned and walked away. She had said that there was no reason to continue torturing themselves by watching Eliora die again, but this death was not one she would be able to come back from.
Tal was so heartbroken. She didnt deserve this. She had done nothing to deserve what was happening to her nor what had happened to her. He began to shed tears for Eliora and caused the rain to pick up. He couldnt tear his eyes away and felt she deserved to have someone to see her last moments. He admired the fight in her but also knew that it would soon take itss toll and her fight would be over.
He sensed a presence behind him and immediately knew who it was without even looking. “Hello brother.”
“Hello brother,” Lucien said and gave a slight bow of his head before going to stand beside him. He took a peek at what Tal was looking at and Tsk’d. “Your mate’s handiwork continues.” Tal snarled. Watch it, brother.”
Lucien bared his fangs but conceded. “Fair, but you know I speak the truth. You are the reason i am even here. I feel your despair and sadness as if it were my own, brother. You have called me here. So i ask you, what is it that you want?” Lucien asked almost in a bored tone.
Tal watched the scene before him and Lucien looked down as well. “Hmm, she is definitely a fighter. Did you want me to take her?” Lucien asked curiously as he watched in slight amusement.
“ You know that you cant interfere with our kin.” Tal said sadly. “ but yes, i want to spare her. She doesnt deserve this. I am tired of seeing these things play out as if on repeat. It hurts brother.” Tal said almost dejectedly.
“Why not simply ask Luna to stop it, she’s the one who caused all this in the first place.” Lucien asked nonchalantly.
With a snarl, Tal turned on his brother and held him off of his feet by his throat. “ Do you ever forget your part in all of this as well, brother.” He spit the last part-out with such venom that it caused Lucien to actually flinch. Lucien quickly recovered his composure before speaking again.
“Put me down.” he said coldly and the temperature fell dramatically around them. For a moment neither moved as they glared at one another, their breaths coming out in cold puffs. Tal tossed Lucien away from him , though Lucien simply glided as if on ice. “You didnt answer my question. Why not go to your mate to stop this?” he said as he walked back over to his brother as if nothing had transpired between the two.
“She refused. She said this was their punishment for betraying their parents.”
Lucien looked at him incredulously. “Brother, that is straight bullshit. She is punishing innocents. You, a keeper and enforcer of justice should know that better than anyone. How can you allow her to do this?”
“I have no control over it. I can merely suggest that she stops but she is still so wrapped up in her anger over the betrayal that i cant even reach her.” Tal said as he watched the fight continue.
“What will you do when your blood no long roams that world and the escaped spirits try to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting idiots down there? You can not allow this to continue.”
“I CANT DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT!” Tal snarled and his face became anguished. “I ...i cant stop it...”
“What makes you think that i can?” Lucien asked curiously. Tal turned to him and glared.
“Do not play games with me brother. That creature inside of her, the one she is fighting, that thing falls under your jurisdiction. She belongs to your realm...our realm. You rule it now. You can do something to help her. She is blood of my blood, just as you are blood of my blood which makes her blood of your blood. Stop her suffering.”
Lucien sighed and bowed his head. “ you ask a lot of me brother.” Tal growled.
“Dont give me that. Just as Luna is to blame, so too are you. I have not called upon you in millennia, but i am begging you now. She is of the last of our blood, help her.” Tal beseeched.
Lucien growled in annoyance. “Fine! Damn you are annoying. Good luck explaining to your beloved why you ‘betrayed her’.” he snarled. “ you just gave her another reason to hate me.” He said feigning hurt.
“Not that you care if she did or not anyway.” Tal muttered as Lucien gave a deep smile and an even deeper bow as he lifted fedora to his brother. “You, my dear brother, know me too well.” he said and left with a soft chuckle. Tal turned back to the scene before him, hoping his brother got there in time to actually save her. ~*~
Lucien stood back and watched from within the very shadows the ensuing fight between the two beasts. He hid his presence from them both, not wanting to give neither the upper hand over the other by surprising them with his presence. Instead, he waited for an opening to strike. The thing was, the two of them were moving so damn fast that it would have been a hard fete to do what he was going to do had he been a lesser being. He was almost tempted to sit back and watch, but he knew time was of the essence and besides it wasnt often that his brother asked anything of him.
When the two locked onto one another, time slowed for just a moment and he struck. He stood the same hight as Eliora’s form and was dressed in a dark pinstriped suit, his white fedora obscuring part of his face. He grabbed the beast firmly by the shoulder and struck her in the back. His hand went straight through her body and into her very soul as he reached even deeper to get to his prize; her shadow self.
He admired how she was able to fight off the shadow for this long but she was starting to lose her fight. He dug deeper and wrapped his hand around the very essence of the being and snatched it up, ripping it from Eliora. Eliora screamed as her entire being became a live wire of pain-ridden nerves. It was beyond excruciating. “Sleep child.” Lucien commanded and drug the writhing dark spirit from her. As soon as the creature was free from Eliora’s being, Lucien gave an exasperated sigh.
“She’d better appreciate what im doing.” he muttered and summoned a pure with box encased with silver lining and tossed the spirit inside. He looked at the two locked in combat and flung his hand at them both to separate them. Then he turned on his heel and disappeared into the shadows, no longer having a reason to stick around. ~*~
The beast gave a pained howl and dropped to the ground huffing and puffing before the pain became too much and it passed out. Eliora’s body began to shift back to her normal self, even if she was covered in blood and mud. Eliora began to rouse from her subconscious and her golden eyes landed on Ro. her last thought was how beautiful he looked covered in blood and mud as he were. But soon the pain was too much to bear and she welcomed the darkness that swallowed her.

Ro noticed the resistance was hard after all screams, something he kept in mind when pushing the advance upon the beast. The attack that crashed against him sent his muscles in a straining motion. He understood that physically this creature happened to be much stronger in muscle strength.
He had to have to use other things to his advantage to keep it from tearing him apart. As his double fangs settled into her flesh like it was angel cake surprised him, the rush of blood around his fangs was like the first high a future junkie feels. This only made him latch on like a pit bull digging deep to drink from her.
Dark and damp feeling awoke him once again the cage he was kept in an old keep. The death strewn around him told him that they had starved him again to the point that he turned into the beast they spoke of as a demon. He sat back on his heels lifting his head to breath as the air turned cold. Breaths come out in little puff clouds of heat, " It will do nothing for you to do this." He muttered.
Each time this happened he became weak like a fat-laden child on thanksgiving. He felt only the want to sleep after devouring that many, that is what he wished was to sleep this very moment. But something like always kept him awake in his torment. Soon he retching he would expel everything from his stomach, this made him awaken more getting up he would scream it sounds like a normal angered man. Crackling crude loudspeaker screeched out a message." Not until you find your self." He would stumble over to a hose and begin to wash away the filth by himself. They never let anyone near him so that he would starve. Once done all was to shove the bodies or what was left of them into a shoot. It being done he would sit holding his head in his hands. Weeping he would scream again and the womanly howl came forth with a masculine undertone.
The door lock was sounded to be open with its electronic buzz. He would scramble to his feet rushing the door moving downstairs. It was frustrating for him to find yet another barred door. However, when it swung open he seemed elated and ran. Only to crash his dreams finding himself on an island of small stature.
Another wave of thirst hit him and he would begin to pull again, it was from the beast trying to rip him and or disembowel him as he fed on the arm of the beast. Him so wild in his drink had him not feel or see or hear the blow that tore them apart. He made a hissing noise his double fang stained with her blood. Looking around in search of what or who had separated him from his prey gave his body time to acclimate to the separation and feeding. His breath huffed watching the beast seem to be breathing in great pain before sub coming to its sleep. The transformation reverted had him tilting his head a little. He had to admit that the dirt covering her was a good accent for her. He moved towards her as she sleepily opened her eyes to gaze at him. When her head hit the ground again passed out his hair would slowly start to fade back to black. His smile once again with only one set of fangs, he would crouch down gently pushing her hair back from her face. His clothes torn minus his jacket he had flung from him.
He did not move from watching her noticing the breathing was at ease of sleep he would come putting the jacket over her after he had retrieved it. He would pick her up moving for the road his feet unsteady on the mud. He stayed upright though as the rain beat down on him till it started to lighten to speckles here and there. The great white moon looming over him and her he looked up his now long hair he would have to shave once more shone in the light. He would focus and push off the ground jumping up the incline to the road.
He would then begin to run carrying her with ease. It was not until he would see the city lights, he made his way along the sidewalk in the darkened street lamps. Hearing a man toss his keys to the valet and walk inside had him on the man quickly as a wolf might his prey." Give me the keys." The man stared at him for a moment before mumbling." Here are your keys sir." He would take the keys opening the car's back seat tossing her inside getting in the front. He would speed away his breathing was heavy with what he had just done. It was something he had never tried before and it put his adrenaline to pumping.
~*~
The drive had dried out his hair he left the window open to calm his nerves after the fight and feeding, he remembered the taste of her it made his blood course again with the want. Pulling along the side of the road, it been a while most likely an hour or so. He pulled her up out of the car into his arms again kicking the door shut his jacket a poor for an excuse of covering. His arms held her like a light feather against him as he walked off into the desert towards Kia's place. It would be the first place he would find before the compound, he had been with Sia and Pi when they had come for the funerals.
He knew where to go his feet carrying him the mud and blood dried to him now and her as well. It was flaking off him as he moved. Kia sat on her large rock by the house her legs crossed her body naked except for the beads in her hair along with the feathers. Her nose smelled them first, her eyes would open as she slipped on a robe standing up tying it. She would lift her head to the sky letting out a solemn howl that carried for miles.
~*~
The alert had him awaken from his nap from scotch laying on the flat rock in the middle of the basin in the canyon. He let out a great sigh before a yawn stretching letting out a groan. He would stand up looking towards the entrance to the canyon in wait.
He would see someone being followed by the guns above, he waited for the person to get closer inside. Once closer he could smell who it was as the wind shifted, his lip would curl as a growl came from here. " You better explain yourself now!" He said jumping down walking towards him.
Ro let out a sigh," She jumped from a cliff and I stopped it."
Voss moved closer seeing her covered in dried mud and blood. " Why is she bloody then!" He growled through clenched teeth. Ro looked around seeing more of the wolf pack coming to see what was going on. It had him clenching his hands on her more." She did not like the fact I saved her. So we fought. She will be fine with some rest." Voss looked at his mouth and his eyes narrowed.
" She best tells me the same thing when she awakes boy" His voice was deep and angry growl as he motioned for him to follow him. He would move for the inner part heading down his hallway Ro following him. " Put her in my bed." He said. With her vulnerable he wanted none to bother her that he did not trust. Last he remembered they had put a hit out on her after she tore out of here. Ro did as he was bid laying her in the Alpha's bedding now strewn with the pelts of his enemies.

BJ had been going over some of the reports of his men when he heard Kia’s howl. No sooner had he heard it, Falcon flew in and shifted as he landed on one of the boulders. He paid no heed to his nakedness and neither did BJ. “You got eyes?” BJ asked even as his guys that were near rushed out to see what had happened and handle it if need be. BJ wore a pair of blue jeans and a black tee with no shoes. His toes dug in the dirt loosening it up as he listened to him.
“Yea, the dude, Ro brought in an unconscious Eliora covered in blood and dried mud.”
“What?!” BJ snarled and followed his men as they went to meet the man. BJ growled low before he regained his composure and pushed all emotion out of the way so that he could deal with the situation at hand. Falcon followed with a sniper before branching off and going to his personal perch and lining the newcomer in his sights. BJ went to stand behind Voss being sure to stay close by even as he jumped down and walked towards Ro.
If BJ remembered correctly, he was one of Sia’s guys. His attention turned to Eliora and he had to fight back the immediate snarl that wanted to erupt from him. He could feel his cat pushing to come forth but he fought it back savagely and gave Ro a steely glare as he too waited to hear the man’s explanation. He had been upset that Anthony had put a hit out on her but knew that he wouldn’t have done so if he didn’t have a damn good reason.
Surprisingly it wasn’t only him that had a problem with it and voiced their opinions about it but what was done was done. Of course, there were even more who supported the decision. None of them expected to see her back let alone in the shape that she was currently. There were resounding growls as Ro followed behind Voss with Eliora in his arms.
She had tried to kill herself… It saddened BJ to think that she would do such a thing when she had so much to live for and made so much progress with them. He wondered what the turning point was to make her do something like that. He looked at Ro who didn’t look too worse for wear for someone who had fought her. He growled softly.
~*~
Anthony was coming out of one of the tunnels with Foxxy as they discussed what supplies she needed for her infirmary, when he heard Kia’s howl. Foxxy whined and looked up to him with concern as he clenched his jaw. “I have to go, Fox.” he said and started to leave. Foxxy debated for a moment if she should go with him. They may need medical attention. She hurried back to her office and grabbed her medic bag before hurrying back to catch up with Anthony who was walk like a man on a mission with a stoney expression marring his face. She walked beside in worried silence.
Though the silence was broken when she gasped as they saw a pissed Voss followed by Ro holding an unconscious Eliora walking into the barracks. The scent of blood was hard to miss. Anthony growled and picked up his pace. Foxxy paused unsure what the cause of his growl was; Eliora coming back or that she was unconscious and bloodied being carried in. everyone knew about the hit he put out on the woman. She shook herself from her thoughts and ran to catch up with him.
~*~
Her body felt like lead as she began to come to. She was still in pain and her wounds were healing slow. On her tongue was the sweetest and most delicious flavor she ever tasted. She tried to move her arm and struck with excruciating pain. Instinctively she let out a soft whine and tried to curl in on herself. When she buried her head in the bedding everything in her stilled. Voss’s scent encircled her and her heart raced. The last place she wanted to be was back with the pack.
Slowly she opened her eyes and for a moment everything was blurred but she could most definitely smell those nearby; BJ, Voss...Ro…. she began to move slowly as she growled low. Her growl became deeper and louder the more awake she became as her anger at Ro mounted. She turned flashing golden eye on him as she snarled at him.
