"No, it's okay. I can get the tattoo." Her reply was made in haste. It was because she didn't want to be an exception. It was bad enough that she stood out on the first day of her stay here in the Isles. And that she had rough patches of dragon skin not only where it was visible, but places that wasn't exposed at the moment. She wanted to fit in as much as she could. She'd follow through with the culture, because she wasn't in the human realm anymore. And she would never be in the realm again.
Her chest tightened. Homesickness hit her like a freight train. She couldn't help but bite her cheek once more. So hard that she bled. It kept her from crying. Because right now she shouldn't be crying.
Just as soon as it came, it was gone. At least, she ignored it, trying to bring herself to the present. Shoot, she actually welcomed the warmth going through her body at the sight of Crevan. A chuckle forced its way out of her vocal chords, thinking 'That makes one of us.' Slowly, as if unsure what to do, she sat down on what she now considered her side of the bed. By the time that she settled down, eyes dry and with pursed lips as if thinking, she saw that he was already dressed.
"She's taught me a few things that the kids from her family are being taught right now. Like levitation and aura-reading. She did try to teach me something else ... " she trailed off, trying to remember the name of it. But when it didn't come to her, she shook her head. "Felicity said it was all just simple things, to ease into the powers that I'm going to have when I turn sixteen." Which was tomorrow. Her birthday's tomorrow.
"I'm not an expert, or anything, though. Besides, she just called it little things. The stuff that can be done without the family book. Which they can't find."
*
"Ah, assumptions can be tricky," Cindimir said, a snort of smoke coming out of his nostrils and drifting lazily away. It was a snort of amusement. Slowly, he eased down to lay on the steps, inevitably blocking anyone from coming up or going down the steps for the time being. "But they are amusing as well. I do believe I might have startled one of your guardsmen into urinating in his trousers. It was not intentional, mind." He shook his head, and clicked one claw a few times against the ground.
Sapphira was always forgiving. Never the one to hold a grudge, like her younger siblings. Immediately her fingers relaxed their hold on her father's leg, then let go. "I forgive you, your majesty," she said softly, curtseying.
"And we thank you for your hospitality," Cindimir continued. Yes, he was sensitive to magic, since he was given the body of a faerie man to lay with Sapphira's mother before. Ever since then, he could tell when and how magic was used. And in some cases, what kind, whether white or dark. "It has been a pleasure meeting you." They didn't move until the three people left, feeling that it would be rude of them to leave without them leaving first. Then without further word, they rose high so that they could search for both Sarah and Felicity.

Crevan would chuckle lightly as he moved to pick up a few more things, his hair he would start to tie loosely with something. " Well if you saw so. " He said softly adjusting the arms of his tunic he would stop in the middle of doing so, his nose twitching as he sniffed the air. "I suggest you stop doing that..." He said softly before he went back to adjusting the sleeves of his tunic. His eyes flashed between blood lust and his normal royal color's, he felt as if she was doing this always on purpose.
He knew it wasn't but it felt like she wanted him to drain her of every last drop of her blood, He grabbed crouched to lace up his boots. She would be able to hear how strongly he was yanking the leather through.
He stood quickly after that and moved around to her. " That is good. If you do not learn enough from your family Anya will teach you some other basic things " His eyes fixated on her pulse, it was all most transfixing for him. His mouth would water so that he had to swallow many times to keep it from flowing out of his mouth. He saw her sitting on the bed and his mind went from being clouded to clear as he reigned himself in. " I..I think on your birthday I will mark you " He said softly.
~*~
The queen would Curtsy again along with Anya before she would smile" Thank you " She said softly and retreated she knew they would be eager to find Sarah, she did not call Anya to come with her. Anya would blush deeply looking down at her feet," Yes assuming can be dangerous " Damien would move to her and kiss the top of her head before walking inside.
Anya would move down the steps, she wanted to go see her friend even if she had stayed at the castle most recently. Moving around the castle she would head down into the ruins, stopping briefly to speak with one of the guards. He would give her a few coins and she would give him a 'blessing' it was more of a ward for his family to make sure they did not become infected. It would be hung in the house to help cleanse them, she wished him luck and headed on down further.

"Doing what?" Sarah asked innocently, after swallowing the faint traces of blood coming from her cheek. And then suddenly, she remembered. That first night she came to stay in the Isles. He told her not to chew on her cheek – or something to that extent.
"Never mind." Embarrassed, which is the total opposite of his assumption, she looked away; rubbed her raw cheek with her tongue; and drew her golden hair over one shoulder to finger-comb it. With every harsh tug of his leather straps she paused and winced. If only slightly.
Her Adam's apple bobbed constantly, but it was because in between her rubbing her cheek she was swallowing a mouthful of blood. Though it stopped when he spoke. Her eyes became slightly wide, and her heart beat at a gallop. Anya had told her what a mark was. And she figured that Crevan would have to bite her. Strangely … she wasn't scared.
Sarah found herself trusting him. "Okay," she whispered, not only replying to his last statement, but to Anya's teaching her. But in her mind all she could think of was that her birthday was tomorrow. She felt her chest tightening like a vice, the blood slightly filling her mouth up bland and tasteless. She wondered what it would feel like, being marked. Would it hurt, since he was going to bite her? Or be pleasant?
She couldn't be sure.
Temporarily, the tent was washed in darkness. This startled Sarah to stand up from the bed, heart jumping in her throat. Like she had been caught reading a dirty book. Other than those few seconds, though, light crept back into the tent. "What was that?" her voice was barely above a whisper. "Do you know?"

He chuckled watching her for the long moments that teased his senses, even the smallest amount of blood he could smell for a great distance. One drop was enough to drive a horde of infected in the direction of the smell, his senses were keener then that and being that close. Well it was like a opium addict sitting in a room full of opium and told not to touch it. This made him lick his lips a few times before turning from her. " Good. I will try and make as painless as possible. " She would always feel a brief bit of pain, but his blood line had a gift of venom and solution. They called it venom for the fact that it would change you forever, once filled with it you would either slowly change or die. There were different type of solution as well, fear inducing, a aphrodisiac, pain numbing, and one that could slow your heart beat making it seem you are dead.
His attention jerked to the flap of the tent, when she asked him those questions his heart skipped a beat. " No but its big" He said softly, he would hear the trumpeting call of alert from near by. He would rush to the war room to put his armor on, Maximus seemed not as urgent to go to war. Instead he would tug on Crevan's tunic wanting to play, he stopped looking down at Maximus. It set him at ease knowing it was not a threat, how the wolf knew was beyond him. Crevan would walk out side the boy trumpeting as he ran past would be yanked up by his shirt. " Calm your self and stop that " He said taking the bugle from the boy before dropping him.
The boy would shake while getting up dusting his bottom off, Crevan would shove the instrument back into the boys hands. " False alarm every one calm down!" He bellowed loudly, the king would of sent word if this was a attack. The queen would of already started a fire fight of magic, he couldn't believe how ignorant his group of soldiers were acting. Though he sheepishly and inwardly scolded himself for the same thing, his only reaction was to protect Sarah.

There was nowhere to land among the tents. And besides, they weren't even sure if Sarah was down there. A puff of irritated smoke poured out of Cindimir's mouth. Oh, how he wished they had been told where she was.
For that matter, where was Felicity? She knew that they were coming today. Why didn't she come out to greet them? He felt as if he was a lost child in the middle of a maze. This place wasn't really dragon-friendly.
And he wasn't even thinking about the bugle-blaring.
"Father, they've sounded something," Sapphira said over the wind. "Would they be stupid enough to attack?"
No, they wouldn't. At least he'd give them the benefit of the doubt. The queen and king were welcoming, and open to the pair. Other than the glares toward Sapphira they didn't have any notion to fight. Which was always good.
But he didn't say anything to her. The wind would just carry his voice away.
Suddenly, a column of water shot up to the sky, nowhere near the flying dragon but enough to gain their attention. Sapphira looked down, only to barely make out someone frantically waving her arms over her head. By her was the water fountain in the city. Sapphira giggled before telling her father to lower himself so that she could drop.
Just because he couldn't land didn't mean she couldn't either.
He circled once around the fountain, descending as he did so. And just as soon as it was safe, Sapphira fell from her father's back and landed on her feet in front of Felicity.
"Sister!" she exclaimed, and the two embraced in a fit of giggles and little squeals. They hugged for a long time, and Sapphira enjoyed it. It had been so long since she saw Felicity. Since the late stages of her pregnancy.
"Where is she?" Sapphira finally asked, when it was time to pull away. "Your daughter?"
"She's with the army general," Felicity replied. "Sleeping, probably. I've been working her for the past couple of days."
"Let us go, then!"
**
All thoughts ceased after Crevan said that he didn't know. For a few seconds, she forgot how to breathe. Images of the infected forced its way into her mind; although it was something that flew over their heads, she couldn't seem to understand that it wasn't the infected.
She quickly moved to the armoire to hastily pull on stockings and boots. With shaky fingers, she laced them up. Then she followed Crevan and Maximus outside.
At first, she was confused. So they weren't under attack? Her eyes looked up toward the sky, yet saw no sign of the thing that blocked out the sun. Then she searched around them for shuffling people with milky eyes, remembering what Crevan had said in his fight with Felicity.
A cold chill engulfed her, making her shiver. "Did anyone see what it was?"

The City for a short while went up in panic about the dragon circling above, but i seemed word traveled quickly about the visitors and all soon went back to normal. Though the people around the fountain seemed to gawk longingly at the two, women speaking behind fans and men whispering to each other as they smoked Cigars. It seemed more lords and Ladies where about the city these days. Like some grand event might be taking place, one could never know with the royal court. Falicia would look out her story window not being able to see what the fuss had been about Éloïse Chuckled as she played with one of the empty spool with some thread she would wind around it then shoot out from her making it unravel.
" You might as well step out side, your not gonna see a thing from here. " Falicia would smile and laugh shaking her head. " I know but I am not going out side alone " Éloïse hopped down off the counter. " Eh bien venu sur le poulet." (Well come on chicken.) Felicia would throw a spool at her before heading out the door, both the woman carrying the long part of their dresses to make it easy to move quickly if needed.
Killian would see his sister coming out of the store with her friend, he sighed chuckling the long thinly rolled stub of a cigar on the ground before grounding it out to follow them. " Sweet sugar's you two what brings you into the air of this fine morning " Felicia would raise a brow and laugh " To see the great spectacle that has our great city in a tizzy " She said softly with a curtsy, Éloïse would just roll her eyes at the two of them. " You both flirt to much for your own good " She mumbled as they both just laughed at her as they walked down the street, He had a fancy looking suit with a fine black jacket with coat tails, his head was covered in a top hat today. " Looking lovely this morning Felicia " She wore her usual color, crimson red but her tip was more at hiding her large bosoms. She seemed more modest in the dun up laced out fit, it looked more like a suit with a cut just to show a little bit of cleavage.
Éloïse tried to put some distance between them and her, " Do not go to far sister we don't want you getting snatched up!" He shouted which made her cheeks redden and her lips purse in anger. She hated him to treating her like a child when they were the same age, it was so infuriating. His long hair made him all the rage with the ladies, though he seemed to never settle down with one.
~*~
Any sighed seeing the camp going into panic with the once over, she thought most of the young men needed more training. She had never seen a panic among them before, though upon seeing Crevan come out in a hurry she raised a brow. She rushed down as quickly as she could seeing Sarah pop out after she had moved down to their level. She would smile " It was a dragon ..." She said softly a smile on her face. " You have visitors " Crevan would shoot a glance at Anya who would stop dead in her tracks and blush deeply. " A messenger could not of been sent ahead of time, I have a bunch of fools running about the camps " The older men laughed at his jest of the youth. Anya Curtsied and lowered her eyes. " I was trying to get here...it seems they cover ground very quickly " She said in the meekest of voices.
Crevan would raise a brow" They? You said they?" Anya would nod pausing only long enough for him to glare at him. " He brought a half dragon with him, youthful woman bits of her dragon like rest more human like. " She said softly. " Much smaller then him. The only place I think he could land would be in the Colosseum " Crevan would look down at Sarah," Did you know they were coming today?" Had he been told to only have it slip his mind?Maximus would bark before dancing around Anya who would only smile and pet him she seemed to calm quickly.
Crevan sighed as Alister appeared, " The Lady's mother is with the dragon girl sire" He said bowing, Crevan kept a eye on him for a moment." Go spy on them till we can make our selves ready. If you get caught it was nice knowing you" Alister made a short laugh and disappeared.

Unlike Sarah, Sapphira and Felicity didn't care about the audience they attracted. As they caught up with one another, they linked arms and started slowly for the camp. Felicity felt comfort in touching Sapphira's scales; since she met Foster she's always considered them safe. "Her eyes remind me of the troves," Felicty commented about her daughter when asked what she looked like.
"What else?" Sapphira murmured expectantly. Then she laughed suddenly. "I cannot help it. I am excited to finally see my niece. What is her name?"
"Sarah," Felicity replied, a soft smile on her face. "Not too far off from what we had originally planned to name her."
At the mention of 'we', Felicity felt Sapphira's hand tighten on her. One look at her sister, and she knew that she was trying not to cry. "She'll be happy to see you."
"Really?"
"Yes. She wants to be taught glamour really badly." Then she leaned in closer, conspirator-like. "She has trouble accepting who she is."
"No!"
"Yes," Felicity nodded. "Hopefully you and Father can help her."
**
Hearing that the dragon was hear for her, she drew her brows together. Then suddenly, she said, "Oh!" Felicity did say that her biological father's family was coming. And she didn't forget that she was part dragon. The dragon-skin on her body didn't let her.
Unconsciously, her hand brushed across her cheek. Across the patch on her face. "I knew that someone was coming to teach me glamour," she amended. She averted her eyes, down to the band on her finger. Her gaze was only there until Alister arrived. She stayed silent until he left, then she asked, "Why spy on them?"

Felicia and there group would move to the fountain but by the time they got there the group was gone." Well that was not very exciting " She said softly earning a chuckle from Killian, " well let us head to the pub before the big night. " The group seemed eager to do so, Alister would do as Crevan bid staying in the shadows, he did not understand why though. It was just her mother and a woman talking, nothing really to see even though it was about Sarah.
He wondered about tonight, the festivities should be happening soon. Or at least being readied for the fall of the sun, he chuckled getting excited himself. All of the city was invited to the palace ball, it would hold many key people that he could meet and perhaps make a deal with even though he loved working here. The food was nothing like a soul.
He had to agree with Sapphira about her not excepting her self, he had to except himself he had moments when he didn't seem this devilishly handsome. He shrugged listening from a far hearing about father and wondered where this individual might be.
~*~
Crevan would look down at Maximus who would bark at him before licking Anya's cheek making her giggle softly at the sweet kisses and attention from the big teddy bear like wolf. It was something she enjoyed his fluffy like heart and fur, Crevan would look to Sarah. " Your mother Is involved. I like to be in formed of all things she has cooked up. When anything considers you "
He said softly. It was plain as day he was protective even from family it seemed. Anya would smile " And it keeps Alister from being nosy here as well" She said softly with another giggle. " Ok you stop it " Maximus would move to Sarah's side after giving enough kisses to Anya.
Crevan would nod " that too he tends to go through things and ease drop anyway " He said with a chuckle seeming much younger then he most likely was. Anya would blush and wipe her face with a handkerchief. " So are you excited?" She asked softly.

Sarah started to suck in her sore cheek, but she thought better of it. She remembered Crevan's words just a little bit ago. So she didn't want to upset him. Instead, her heartbeat picked up its pace and a small, girly smile was put on her face.
Which goes to show that she didn't particularly mind that Alister was spying on them. Besides, it wasn't like the man was going to do anything; she trusted Alister.
Sarah couldn't help but laugh at Maximus and Anya. She smiled down at the wolf when he came to her, honored that he would be by her side. One of her hands went to his head, and she started to scratch him behind the ear. At Anya's question, she tilted her head slightly in an attentive way. "About being taught glamour? Yeah. Felicity said it was like painting a picture without using paint or anything like that."

Crevan would raise a brow in how she described how her mother said making Glamour was, he wondered if it was a dragon thing. He would shrug " Well they will be here soon I am assuming. " Anya would smile watching Maximus near Sarah as he sat like a loyal down, she wondered if Crevan was wanting to make himself scares before they arrived.
Something he never did before, usually he was not one to run from things. She would stretch and smile " I love how all branches of magic are different. " She would move over to her friend and whisper softly her hoping Crevan would not hear.
" Has he told you when you will be marked?" She was curious because of the danger, though she had a body guard it would be harder for anything to happen. Maximus would nip at her trying to get her attention for her to pet him. Crevan could not help but chuckle as the two crowded Sarah, his attention was focused on the group.

Just as soon as Crevan said they'd be there, Sapphira and Felicity walked towards the entrance of the camp. Since neither of them had been in the camp personally before they didn't know where Crevan's tent was. That didn't deter them from their mission to see Sarah and to teach faerie magic.
"Pardon, sir," Sapphira murmured politely, her eyes crinkling at the corners in a friendly manner. "Where would the general's tent be located?" And just as soon as they were given those directions, they thanked him and were on their way. They were slow in walking, in no rush or anything.
Eventually they ended up where they needed to be, purposefully ignoring any weird looks or not hearing any whispers. Occasionally, the sun would be block by a mass that was Cindimir, who seemed not yet inclined to land just yet because he wanted to make sure his daughters were all right. The girls were, in fact, all right; Sapphira was nearly jumping excitedly, and Felicity couldn't help but be excited as well.
But at the sight of Sarah, both women stilled. Sapphira unconsciously wrapped her tail around her left leg. Her brown eyes dulled in sorrow. Just looking at her brother's daughter sent a sharp pang through her heart. And although Sarah looked mostly like Felicity, there were some of Foster's traits. She wasn't just thinking about the dragon patches that were reminiscent of Cindimir, either.
"Foster" was Latin for "guardian of the forest". Like his siblings, he had named himself when he saw that he had an affinity for the earth. No, he wasn't able to manipulate it like Hannah was. But he found that he was more inclined to the animals and plants. In the faerie realm, the Forest had been protected by him until he met his untimely death. But before that, he had a better relationship with Kheelan's hounds than Kheelan himself did.
Seeing Sarah petting Maximus with no qualms about his size showed Sapphira that Foster wasn't truly gone.
And her ears! Sarah definitely had Foster's ears. The soft, distracted smile. Her stance of a royal... That was all Foster.
"Sarah," Felicity said, "there's someone I'd like for you to meet."
*
In the time it took for Felicity and Sapphira to arrive, Sarah had moved her head closer to Anya so as to listen better to her whisper; blush a bit; then nodded slightly. "Tomorrow," she whispered just as quietly.
But Sarah couldn't say anything more than that, because when Maximus nipped at Anya she couldn't help but giggle. "Someone wants attention," she teased the dog.
Then she looked up at the mention of her name.
To say that Sapphira's appearance didn't take her aback would be a lie. But she didn't accept the urge to hide behind Crevan. She had believed Anya when she gave the descriptions of the visitors. So she stood her ground, and smiled in a friendly way.
"Good morning," Sapphira said to the group, curtseying after unlinking her arm from Felicity. "My name is Sapphira." Then she stood up from her curtsey. "I am here to teach Sarah the art of glamour."

*Later that night*
That night Crevan had said that a break from all her work was due, she had been training days before that and now she was again. Tonight was the start of the ball which would bleed on into the next day, it was to be a all night's a fair. Crevan would be dressed in his finest service uniform with his medals cresting his chest them gleaming in the candle light. He would look at his hair wondering if he should shave it down to his scalp or leave it long. In not being able to decide he would do it up in a top knot, his eyes focused for a moment after wavering between red and the royal colors. He would rub his eye lids clearing his throat a bit feeling slightly nervous, he had not attended a ball in a long time and forgotten the dance of politics. To night he would have to learn to dance again, he would done the dress cap and adjust it before chuckling shaking his head to see if it would stay on.
" Sarah are you ready?" He had them adjust his tent the night before so she could have her own dressing room. He realized she was not used to such of things that seemed normal to him, he had used such little space for efficiently packing up the tent. Now? Well now he had some one else to think about, regardless if his brother had gotten her for him as a pet. He chuckled and wondered if he should still order the bed for her, or had she gotten used to his? He frowned a little running his hand along it knowing she would most likely still not sleep while he was there, he was staying up most of the night to let her sleep. Well tonight no one would be sleeping the castle and town would be alight with cheer and suspense. Six houses had already arrived from the most outer larger Isles, most of the offspring of said houses would be in attendance. Ranging from ages fourteen and up, I think even one was bringing its youngest more as a formality then as a prospect. Male and female alike. It was to Celebrate Sarah's birthday; the queen planned on crowning her Princess for a the night. It was a small tradition for the fiancee of one of the royalty to be crowned princess on their birthday. Though he had not announced it or made any mention of being infatuated with her the queen had taken it upon herself to stretch the rules a bit to give her a wonderful birthday.
Though the youth's coming to the event would not be trying to court her ( if they wanted to survive), they would be taking the opportunity to woo the prince of the King and queen. It was a right affair for each ball for them to propose wonders and treasures a like to win the affection of the young prince. It was just the way of things that happened during such events, Last time a ball was held a foreign blood line of witches was given to him as a prize. He had accepted the gift as his mother said he should but politely refused to marry the mans daughter, said that she was not ripe yet for the picking. The man was returning this time in hopes to win him over with a few gifts, he brought fine horses and hounds this time along with a money dowry for the young male. Ever since his first wedding had gone a rye they had never stopped trying, usually the royal house would keep to themselves. But now? Well now they could not afford to, this left Damien enraged and his wife irritated at her husband every time they came. She would be even more so if they ruined Sarah's birthday ball.
~*~
The Castle was a glow with odd colored fires burning like candles as they floated about the air illuminating the ball room and hall ways leading to it, Anya was using magic along with other witches to decorate the halls. Her mother refused to help saying it was bad luck, she had told her mother to go stuff her self.
Was the first time in history Anya had a outburst with anyone, it had scared her more then her mother. She felt bad the moment she had said it, and now she was trying to push that feeling away by making this night and day the happiest for her best friend. The queen was even assisting in making firework for Sarah's arrival, she had said it was like being able to have a daughter again. Some one to lavish upon she seemed to miss having someone like that to be around. Felicity had woken that in her or something, the woman seemed overly cheerful and it helped brighten Anya's mood quickly.
All the witches would begin to sing a song the servant men would gather and begin to play music, some of them would dance with each other it had seemed the Celebration could not wait till the Princess would arrive.

Yes, Sarah had been practicing glamour. And yes, she did indeed need a break from it. Sapphira and Cindimir left, having heard that there was to be a ball tonight. Neither one of them like gatherings like that. So as Sarah took a brief, thirty minute nap, the dragon-folk promised that they would return tomorrow, bearing a gift or two for Sarah.
Soon after her nap, Sarah had gotten ready in the room separate from Crevan's. Felicity had helped with her hair, bringing some products from the palace to make sure her hair stayed in place. Sarah was self-conscious about her ears (and everything else), so Felicity left the hair down in large beach waves, the golden color making it look as if Rumplestiltskin had woven it personally.
Somehow, she had gotten a new dress from Falicia. When she asked Felicity said that Sapphira bought it. How, she didn't know, but Falicia was talented at her work. It, too, was a golden color to compliment her hair and eyes. It showed her shoulders, yet had sleeves going all the way down her wrists. Her party boots – the ones that showed skin – were under the large ball gown. Starting from the skirt up, there was a light blue embroidery that was reminiscent of flowers. For the corset in the back, it was tightened up with blue silk.
It had costed a pretty penny, but Felicity said that Sapphira didn't mind.
For the last five minutes, she had been contemplating whether to use the glamour to cover the dragon patches on her skin or not. Half of the city had seen her already, and the rest had heard that she was part dragon – if not her skin then the dragon that was flying overhead earlier that day. But there were to be other people at this ball. Notable people. Would they whisper behind their hands at her like her peers back in the human realm undoubtedly would have? Not everyone could be as nice as the people in the capital. So, really, it would make sense to use the glamour to make her look like what she had been before.
Felicity had left when she was finished with her hair; if she had been still here she would have reprimanded her. But she wasn't, and the faerie magic settled around her. She giggled slightly at the ticklish sensation before calling out to Crevan, "Yes, Master."
Then she stepped out from the new room, in Crevan's view. And because of this, she suddenly grew nervous.

Crevan would stop staring at her his eyes taking in her and the dress, his jaw seemed to drop for a moment till Maximus whined and he gained his composure" You look stunning " He whispered adjusting his Dress suit, though when his eyes landed on her face there was a slight hint of disappointment in her hiding her self with Glamour. She must have no idea bout the monsters his people were, because she seemed to hide something was apart of her. He turned away from her before he would pick up a bracelet coming over to her he would put it around her wrist.
" I know the clock has not struck midnight yet. But Happy birthday " He said in a gentle and soft deep timber before stepping back, the bracelet was made of Platinum with one charm dangling off it. " For you to add memories over the years if you like " The little charm that dangled from it now looked like the Crest of his family. He would pause for a moment before holding out his arm to escort her out and to the palace.
Alister was in his own tent not far from them his suit was slick looking, like servant with its own little flare of style. He wore black gloves over his hand instead of white, they were made of some leather his suit would seem to gleam all most when light hit it just right. He would tie up a bow tie instead, he chuckled before looking at himself in the mirror his eyes turning to goat's for a moment then they melded back to the glamour that held them like any normal pair of those around him.

Carriages moving down the streets in a nice pace, though two weaved in and out as they seemed to be racing to be first in line. the two once clearing the rest would smack into each other as if trying to drive one another off the road, the carriage drivers whipping the horses as the animals breath would fog the air along with the crying whinnies as they desperately tried to out race the other horses. " Move you beasts tarry not My master wishes to reach the palace first " The man shouted swerving again to hit the other carriage people darting out of the way to keep from being a splatter on the cobble stone. The other carriage would fall back not wanting to become a wreck .
The driver would dig his feet into the stand and pull back hard to try and stop the horses before they crashed into the wall by the steps up to the castle. The driver breathed like the horses as if they might keel over, his heart had been racing the whole ride. He would jump down to open the carriage for the occupants to climb out, the Lord stepped out first his Daughter's in tow. One sixteen and the other little lady about nine, she was here to mingle and learn how to address royalty nothing more. The servant would close the door once they had departed, he would then tend to the horses begging for forgiveness for how harshly he had treated them. But his head had been on the chopping block if he did not reach the Castle first, now he could move the horses and tend them to make sure they did not parish for his Masters wishes.
The rest of the carriages would fall in line young men and women alike offspring of the lords and Ladies, they had figured the prince did not like to dalliance with a female so perhaps a male suitor would win them a spot along the blood line of the royal's. The queen hearing the commotion of the pushy lord had her cheek to twitching with anger, " Rush and silence that fool before ruins this occasion" The guards would make haste in greeting the man who felt males were meant to be the head of the line. Old fashioned in thinking he ushered his daughters to hurry, when he ignored the guards they would press a spear to his chest to catch his attention when he opened his mouth to reprimand them they pressed harder.
It seemed to catch his attention quite nicely and he silenced, " this is a special occasion the queen wishes for you to speak only when spoken to ...tonight" The man puffed up as if he was going to go on a tangent but the spear pierced his outfit and his flesh a little causing him to silence once more. " Understood?" The man would merely nod his head and the guard would back off quickly allowing him through. Seeing the ballroom all but empty of servants he was pleased at l east to be the first to arrive. His daughters were much more well mannered then himself, they would walk around taking all the beautiful decorations in awe. When the queen came to greet them along with her husband the girls would curtsy in greeting, the man however would look around ignoring the queen to shake her husbands hand.
" I was wondering what the occasion was for? Not that I do not gleam at having the opportunity " He said with a chuckle, the queen would choose to ignore his disrespect and focus on the girls. " Come let us go and see the rest hmm?" The girls would smile and follow her, it was more for the younger girl then the one about her sons age. She sighed looking her over, " Darling are you ok to breath in that?" The girl would blush, her father had instructed for her to be sintched up extra tight. Which was nearly cutting the poor girls air off, the queen would look in the mans direction before scoffing seeing him trapping her husband in conversation. Seeing that he wasn't looking she would loosen the girls corset causing the girl to take a deep intake of breath, and seemed to be deeply relieved. She had thought she was going to pass out. She watched as many more filed in before the announcement was made to what he occasion was which some seemed oddly confused, though did not qualm at the chance to marry off their offspring.

Her nervousness receded, giving way to shyness that was represented by a soft blush. Crevan always seemed to make her do that, become red like a tomato. Sometimes she wondered if he did it on purpose, giving compliments out to her just to see her react in such a way. But she did have to admit, Sarah felt beautiful tonight; she accepted the compliment without bringing herself down in the process.
"And you look dashing," she said, ignoring the disappointed look on his face. She was telling the truth, though to her he always looked like that. In his tunics. In this formal attire. Anything. Tonight was just a good night to admit her thought.
At first, she was confused as to why Crevan wanted her wrist. That confusion went away as soon as she felt the coldness of the bracelet against her wrist. Her eyes widened slightly in awe; reverently, she stilled the charm against the palm of her other hand. A whispered "Oh," moved past her lips before they tilted upward.
It was the same thing tattooed on Crevan's chest, and just as beautiful.
"Thank you," she told him, smiling wider to show how much she meant it. Soon after that she took his arm, resting her hand within the crook of his elbow, and let him take the first step. "What's this ball for, again?" she asked just as soon as he did, like Crevan or someone told her the reason behind this, when really they didn't.
