Crevan would smile when she asked him escorting her meant he had no idea either, " Thank you" His hand patted her's softly in the crook of his elbow. When she asked about why the ball was happening he would raise a brow. "I would imagine it is something important if the queen is throwing a ball " He said softly even though his timber was deep.
His men were all so celebrating the day but with ale and card games, it meant no more drills for the entire night and next day. He chuckled as they went a little crazy as he escorted her out. " I think we will stay in the palace once we decide to sleep. "He that the men would take the time to party or see family. But most of them would to loud for anyone near by to sleep.
Instead of sneaking in the side entrance he would escort her around front, " I had forgotten how crowded these things get" He said with a hint of a nervous chuckle. Two Servants where checking a list, it seemed they were keeping track of who was arriving this seemed odd to him. He would pay it no mind as he escorted her past as one of them seemed to smile, Crevan touched the short blade out of habit. The smile was not something he liked, like a demon ready to eat a delicious soul. The entrance had many colors splashing against the wall as if water was reflecting the colors, paused only long enough to let some one pass before he walked into the main part of the castle. It was so full as if waiting to be let into the ballroom, its entirety was a buzz with conversation.
~*~
The grand staircase sparkled like diamonds coating its banisters, A woman in a steam punk outfit stood by the top watching everyone below as she ate a apple. " It is fully tonight. " She whispered as a man walked over to her and looked down. " Ah yes and the main event has arrived too" He would smile adjusting his shirt. " I should probably hurry before she makes it inside. Would not want to let Crevan get the first dance " The woman would laugh lightly and shake her head. " You are horrible " He chuckled and let her assist him with finishing up his outfit. She would hand him a cane that was merely for a accessory then need, he stepped slowly down the stairs. The room would all most shift as one. " It is the prince!" one girl squealed. Her father would cover her mouth and lean down to tell her to shush, which made the girl blush in embarrassment.
When he reached the bottom of the stairs he would start to move through the crowd, Craven would stiffen as he noticed him making his way towards him and Sarah. He would not move an inch, put the hand that patted hers before now moved to touch her hand again. Julian would smile as he reached the sight of Crevan. " Good evening Uncle " though the young man seemed to have similar features as him. He looked nothing like the king in fact, Crevan would sneer and bow to him. " nephew" He did not look at him as he came back up again, a direct insult that the prince brushed off. " Ah the lovely Sarah I have heard so much about " He would hold out his hand as if asking for hers. " Would you do me the honor of letting me escort you the rest of the way?" Crevan made no show of not wanting her to go outwardly, but inwardly he felt his pit swirl with anger. Crevan's hand hesitated before moving from covering the one in the crook of his arm.

"Hmm," she made a sound of thinking, wondering what was so important for a ball tonight. Of course, her birthday was tomorrow. But that wasn't important enough to throw a ball. No, she was thinking of something else – like independence celebration. How America gained freedom from Britain and Texas separated from Mexico. Or possibly a holiday that this realm celebrated.
Crevan should know. After all he was the general of the king's army.
At the reaction from the soldiers she couldn't help but match Crevan's chuckle with a giggle. She was happy to see the men enjoying themselves tonight. They deserved it, considering they're nothing but hard workers. She saw a few of them fight before with the infected; they didn't bat an eyelash. Even if their fun consisted of ale and cards, they earned it in her eyes.
"Good idea," she replied to Crevan, smiling.
The closer they got to the gate, the closer she stood to Crevan. Sarah didn't want to bump into anyone. Not because she had claustrophobia, but she didn't want to be a nuisance. It was bad enough the skirt of her dress brushed against others'. She did so happen to glance at the servant that smiled at her. At first, she started to smile back, but looking further into the smile he gave her made her tighten her hold on Crevan and look away sharply.
And then she found herself being mesmerized by the colors being bounced off the walls. They were beautiful, she thought, slowly relaxing. "I don't mind it being crowded," she said out loud.
Golden eyes became as wide as saucers when someone squealed. But not because she was just as excited as the girl that squealed. Rather, it was because she didn't expect for someone to squeal. Though to be honest, as he came closer she could see why.
She stopped when Crevan did, slightly confused at how still he stood. Sarah couldn't help but to look between the two, back and forth a few times (then a few more because she was surprised at the uncanny resemblance). She felt the tension they exuded like a thick comforter on a muggy August night, but she didn't say anything as she curtsied.
Upon hearing that Julian had heard of her, she couldn't help but blush a little. "Good things, I hope," she murmured lightheartedly instead the initial response she was going to say. Then she felt a bit of shock go through her when he held out his hand.
The prince, whom she had never met before, wanted to escort her in? Preposterous. But when Crevan's hand let go of hers, the coldness she felt at the absence had her believing that Julian did indeed want to escort her the rest of the way.
Torn between not want to be rude and wanting to stay by her master's side, she looked up at Crevan to look for a sign. What did he want for her to do? Though after a few seconds of what she felt was looking at a brick wall, she reluctantly let go of Crevan and placed the opposite one on Julian's expecting palm. The seal on her finger gleamed, as if it was telling her that it made the wrong choice.
Or it could be that it was praising her by making the right choice. Ugh, she didn't know.
Either way, she couldn't back out now. "I'd be happy to," she replied, before instinctually bit down on her cheek – this time she was gentle about it. Not because she didn't trust the Prince if she did let herself bleed, but because it hurt too much from her roughness on it from earlier today.

The witch that followed him watched as she smiled nibbling on a card in her mouth, she had a cat like allure and raised a brow at how meek Sarah was. The prince would smile when she mumbled, " Of course mother never Speaks ill of you. It is always how well mannered you are and how beautiful your skin is. " He would take her to him when she let go of Crevan who boiled inwardly but spoke nothing out loud.
He would have to watch him closely and any other now that she was not by his side. He cursed himself for waiting so long to mark her, his nerves had his blood turning from boiling to very cold with fear. The Prince would smile " I am glad that you are allowing me to escort the guest of honor tonight" He chuckled as people made way to the ballroom. Fireworks and the crowd already inside clapped as he escorted her in, " Welcome to your Ball M'lady" He said with a chuckle.
The queen would smile seeing her with her son, it had her walking over quickly along side her husband moved. He would hold out the pillow with a crown on it. Laina would smile taking it from the pillow before curtsying to her. The crown would be placed on her head and the woman would smile " Happy birthday" She said softly and winked to her" No matter if the bells have not tolled the new day this is your Celebration my princess enjoy your night and day as Heir " She would blush lightly when her husband hugged her close. " It has been a while since a princess has graced these halls. If you would do us the honor of being our princess for the night " She said softly. Julian would chuckle watching his uncle out of the corner of his eye. A young male from a house would move as if lining up to dance with her.
" Do you think I could call on the first dance Princess?" He said to Sarah bowing deeply to her like no prince should to any other. Every one seemed eager to rush her, like to speak with her ask her as to why she was so important to the queen. The room became a flutter with talk till the queen would clap her hands" Every one calm let her have her space " She said in a announcing voice.
Anya was near the far side where the food was she seemed to be helping the servants place and arrange things still so that it was proper and clean looking. There was several items that was not normal for humans to eat, and was marked as such so that the guest of honor would not eat them by mistake. Julian's witch would go next to Anya and speak causing her to startle which had the witch giggling. " Ah good to see you focused on something for once little trollop " Anya would frown and try and ignore her. " Oh come on help me pick a nick name for you then if you don't like that one " Anya would huff before turning to stare at her, the girl held a crystal in her hand making Anya freeze. " It ..is fine " She whispered softly. " Good. Make sure he doesn't dance to long with the little dragon. I would not want him falling in love with her. " Anya would stare off into nothing. " Of course..." She whispered softly before the witch plucked up a few items to eat and walked for the balcony.

There was a difference between Crevan's elbow and Julian's. She didn't believe that this was weird to say, because her hands have been in the crooks of both. Why they were different was hard to explain. It had to do with the fact that she was more comfortable with Crevan than Julian. Maybe it was because she shared a tent with Crevan. Shoot, she didn't know. But she couldn't relax with Julian like she did her master.
It wasn't because Julian … was Julian. But that Julian … wasn't Crevan.
You're obsessed, Sarah thought bitterly, before turning her head sharply to Julian in confusion. "Say what?" she asked. It was only when Julian bid her welcome she finally let his words sank in. As soon as they did, she couldn't help but laugh in surprise. A whole ball, just for her. She didn't believe it, even though the queen and king were moving to her with a pillow.
She was absolutely shocked. Speechless, she let Laina crown her. Did she deserve this? Probably not. Sarah wasn't big on herself, after all. Self-esteem issues and all that fun jazz. But all she could do was blush, giggle, and curtsy. "Thank you," she regained her ability to speak to say. "I'd be happy to."
And just as soon as she said it, it seemed that she was being surrounded on all sides. And she was. Like paparazzi following a celebrity. A whole bunch of questions were thrown at her. Too many that Sarah couldn't even answer. Like, she didn't know why she was so important to the queen. She wanted to know that herself.
Though when the crowd ceased, she finally turned to Julian to answer his question with a nervous purse of her lips. "I don't know how to dance."
*
Felicity watched from afar, standing in the same spot Julian had been in when he saw Sarah and Crevan enter. She was dressed in a dark blue, almost a navy color, piece. Her skirt wasn't as large as her daughters, nor the embroidery as elaborate. Unlike her daughter, her neck and shoulders were covered with sleeves and a choker. Dangling from that choker was a pendent that looked like a full moon.
She hated her daughter's dress solely because it not only bared her neck, but just invited people to drink her dry. No one else might see it like she did. Call it protectiveness. But right at the moment she was angry at Sapphira for even buying the dang thing.
Sarah's hair being down made it better.
Restlessly, she rapped her knuckles against the railing that kept her from toppling over into the crowd. Then with the same hand she rubbed the moon pendent. Suddenly, she wished for Foster to be here. So that he could tell her not to worry and be a proud father.

The queen smiled and curtsied again before she would start a dance, Julian would smile to Sarah taking up her hand placing it on his arm as he slide her close taking up her other to lead her. He thought it was refreshing how she did not know how to waltz." Waltzing is fairly easy, just follow my feet " He said softly, he would take it slowly at first stepping back so she could follow. He did a rounded box step he wanted her to get used to the rythme before trying to go further. " If you mess up it is fine. I stepped on my dance teachers toes for nearly a year before I got the hang of it " He said with a chuckle his neck flitted to her neck. Crevan would sigh softly watching Julian waltzing with Sarah before he decided to go to the balcony, he would see Adisa standing at the edge looking up at the night sky. He chuckled as he moved up next to her startling the girl a little, she would smile and brush the short hair behind her ear. " Did he take your prize?" She asked and he made a face. " Sarah is not a prize. She is far more then that. " He would look at Adisa his eyes crimson with a tinge of blood lust. " She is her and her self. The moon the stars the half of me that I have missed for some time. " He placed his hand on the balcony by Adisa, she took a step back as he advanced on her. " She is mine. Call for your Master." He whispered and she took a step back again. " Crevan?" She seemed concerned about him for a brief moment till he hissed. She would snatch her hand up to her pendant, The prince seal lite up a little but he seemed to be ignoring it.
Adisa looked to the the large windowed doors seeing no one coming she backed her self into a corner, He looked down at her before sighing. Stopping a few paces from her he would look out over the city, " My the night looks wonderful this evening. " Adisa gulped feeling the fear tighten her chest, he was pumping the air full of pheromones that made her fear him. " I want you to call to him. Not from the damned pendant. Use your words girl" She wold bite her tongue even as he looked to her the eyes were focused and harsh looking. " So be it " He purred the words sweetly to her as he cup her chin. He leaned down slowly but pulled back quickly when Anya came out. " You should be making sure Sarah is ok not feeding at a time like this. You have held out this long...a few more hours will not kill you" He would turn to stare at her before walking past. Adisa blew out the breath she had been holding. " What took you so long to see his seal?" She smiled and shrugged her shoulders" I thought you should sweat for the comment earlier. " Adisa stuck her tongue out. " Of course the damn charm didn't work " Anya laughed and walked over putting her arm around her friend. " You were never good at charms..." She would escort Adisa back into the ballroom before they would go and graze on the snacks. They both seemed left alone which was not there preferred stand point.
~*~
The queen and king sat watching the crowd dance and have fun, she looked at him with a smile as he kissed her hand. "I am lucky to have you my darling " She would blush at his words and giggle" Oh stop it we are both lucky, besides you still have to wait a little while longer. He chuckled and kissed her hand again before just holding it. " I was not trying to sweet talk you " She let out a scoff as if she knew better, that pulled a chuckle from him they both seemed happy to see the ballroom once again full of people. The party spilled into other parts of the Castle with dancing and partying, Killian and the shop keepers dancing with the other guests. They hoped to catch Sarah when she was not busy, they wanted to see the dress on her.

Sarah's heart thumped harder than normal, feeling the close proximity between her and Julian like a heat wave. His hand on her waist and hers on his arm. It was a good thing that her hands didn't get clammy. "Okay," she said, drawing the word to make it look like there were three syllables instead of two.
Thankfully, she didn't step on him the first step.
She couldn't help but laugh a bit at his admission. It was a laugh of disbelief. A year? Surely someone that probably had his personal fan club didn't literally step on his teacher's feet. "Are you just trying to make me feel better?" Her light-hearted accusation seemed to be emphasized by her accidentally stepping on his boot. The wince she made looked as if he stepped on her.
"Oops."
Now, Sarah had a tendency not to have eye-to-eye contact when she was so close to someone. It just … unnerved her. At school dances, if someone wanted to slow dance with her (not as in what Julian and her were doing right now) she would always look to the side or over the guy's shoulder. And that's what she did now.
Though on occasion, she would happen to glance up at her partner for the briefest of seconds. So she did see Julian looking at her neck. This caused her to look away quickly, stiffen up, and pray that someone would intervene.
She remembered the day she came to the capital. How those women were whispering about being marked and free game and stuff. She also remembered the soldier that was punished for drinking from Anya. Crevan said earlier that he would mark her – and how she was kind of anxious.
Needless to say, she didn't feel relaxed with Julian anymore.

Julian would chuckle lightly when she said he was trying to make her feel comfortable," No truly it took me nearly a year to learn. I kept stumbling about, to admit that i was very clumsy as a child is a understatement " He continued the waltz at a slow pace so she could figure it out but he only smiled when she stepped on his boot. " You are doing very well far better then I " He said softly noticing her looking up at him ever so often, though when her demeanor changed his smile faded as he continued to dance. " Do you really think me that blood thirsty?" He fed well when needing so, " I am nothing like The Crimson Blade, I do not slack my thirst in such a manner." He would slow down the dancing only to come to a stop, his finger would track her neck gently" Fear attracts him you know. His enemies that is. When they fear him the most is when he will slack his thirst. They say it is the sweetest when fear courses through your veins"
Crevan would slap his hand away with a short hand slap, " Thank you prince" He said as he bowed" For showing my pet how to waltz " Julian kept his anger checked as Crevan would sweep in and take her to dancing with him. Adisa would smile dusting her hands as she walked over to the prince" Did your charm not work on her?" Julian hissed only causing her to laugh and follow him towards the balcony. Moving quickly out of sight he would loosen his collar as if having trouble breathing. She would grab his shoulder pulling him around, " You are such a bad man.." She cooed to him his eyes were blood red with anger. Moving to her he would push her against the wall. " Why must you anger me. " He growled, she would smile and cup his face" Because you are mine ...and I am yours. No one else " She whispered to him before pulling him out of sight back into the curtains of the ballroom.
Several others seemed to curse lightly that they did not seize the moment to dance with her while they had the chance. They would sit and stew waiting to see if they would have another chance to sweep the princess off her feet.

Honestly, were these vampires mind readers? Or was she just really easy to read? Gosh, that's so embarrassing.
The regular question that she had bouncing around her head almost daily disappeared, and to replace it was a line of goosebumps that followed Julian's finger like a loyal dog. Those goosebumps felt as if fire was licking her skin. But it wasn't painful. Maybe it was because heat didn't really bother her.
She hated how he was bashing Crevan, who was his uncle. Blame her familial loyalty, but she didn't like that. Nor did she like his attempt to make her afraid of Crevan. Using his nickname. Pulling the "fear makes blood sweeter" bit. "I'm not his enemy," she replied, indignation making her voice firm.
And just as soon as she said that, the sound of skin smacking skin had her believing that she herself got smacked. After a few seconds, when she realized Julian's hand was away from her neck and Crevan was beside her, relief washed away and stiffness she felt. Yet it made the part of her neck Julian touched cold.
Like, colder than a December day. And she hated December.
Sarah let Crevan sweep her away, stumbling a bit before regaining her balance. A sigh escaped her lips, placing her hand on Crevan's arm and letting his own take up the other. "Did you know the ball … was for me?" Sarah murmured after a few seconds, to the break the silence.

Crevan would look down at her for a moment when she asked, he would look around at the gaze of others before he shook his head." No ...I had a Idea that it was but I was never directly told any thing. Besides If some one told you do you think you would of showed up?" He chuckled lightly helping her along. " I mean you do become shy some times"He watched her for a moment." Is this place making you uncomfortable?" He asked his eyes going from jovial to concerned and caring. " If so we can leave .." He said softly dancing her away from the balcony towards the seat of the king and queen. He figured she would enjoy the ball, he had not accounted for every one else possibly making her miserable or uncomfortable.
" Did ...did he hurt you ?" He asked his cheeks would blush slightly out of embarrassment for his concern. He was avoiding looking at her neck region, he mostly focused on her eyes . He was all so concerned if he had offered to take her as scion, which meant that Adisa would be replaced. " I should have refused for you..." He said wondering if his choices had made her upset. Or was he the only one feeling what he was feeling, Julian stepped from the balcony area to look dead on into Sarah's eyes. He remained staring at her even when Crevan spun her slowly, it was as if he was willing her to come to him.
Crevan had a spark of thought and it made his middle ache, Adisa would lick her fingers as she poked him " Are you going to ask her to Marry you?" He would look to Adisa and smile " I could that would leave you open to my scion still wouldn't it?"he said with a chuckle as Adisa smiled only nodding she poked him again. " if she accepts it will eat your father alive " Julian would smile a little as he took her hand and gently kissed it as he watched Sarah dance. " Of course it would. "

Sarah couldn't help but laugh. It wasn't forced, rather it came out as easy as making scrambled eggs. Yeah, she might not have wanted to come if she knew this whole thing was for her. "Most of the time, you mean," she corrected, in a better mood.
She shook her head almost immediately after his question. "Oh, no. I'm fine." And she was. It was just Julian and his ability to shake her. "I haven't seen Anya yet. Besides, it would be rude if I just left after ten minutes of dancing." And she hated being rude.
Exhibit A: Dancing with Julian.
Once again, she shook her head. "No, he didn't." At least, she didn't think so. Then she couldn't help but grin at his blush. The big guy actually had red cheeks. It was a teeth-baring, 'I'm not the only one' grin. "That shade of red is beautiful on you," she tried to mimic his deep voice, recalling the words he said to her earlier this morning. But the tone sounded raspy, as if she chain-smoked.
She didn't care that she did, dancing with Crevan at the ball for her birthday having her in the best mood since her time in the human realm. Before she got kidnapped and sold. "It's okay." The grin turned into a comforting smile. Of course, she didn't blame him anyway. It was her fault. She should have said no.
But what's done is done. She'll be more careful next time.
It was as if that same … higher power that laughed at her when Crevan was taking a bath was laughing at her now. Like with Julian, she couldn't look at Crevan for more than a few seconds. Suddenly, her eyes found Julian's. And just as suddenly, she felt a pull worthy of the moon to Earth. She couldn't help it. She seemed to be under a spell.
And she didn't like that she liked it. Sarah should have been angry that he spoke illy of Crevan. Should have been wary because of the caress on her neck; she's never had a guy do that to her, so of course she'd be leery of the unknown.
She forcefully looked away, at her reflection in Crevan's medals. They were so shiny she could see her freckles that she once hated but now liked compared to the dragon skin. Her reflection looked back at her with a stern expression, as if saying to get ahold of herself. Though her trance wasn't broken until Felicity tapped her on the shoulder.
"May I interrupt this dance so that I could refresh the Princess with snacks her most wonderful best friend had made?" Felicity asked, moving her feet to the steps of the waltz by her daughter. She must have looked silly, without a partner to dance with.
Though she just needed to get Sarah's attention. Because she saw how Julian was looking at her (as he kissed his Scion's hand, might she just add with an indignant huff) and she, for one, didn't like it.
Foster wouldn't have liked it either.

He was relieved to hear that she waned to stay and the fact that he had not hurt her, but when she tried to sound like him repeating his words. It made him smile and laugh, " I do from time to time yes and no they are not " He said turning a little darker shade, he had the word beautiful attached to anything concerning him. " I am just glad your ok. " He watched her carefully as she became shy once more avoiding his look. He would look else where to give her respite from his gaze. He would pick up the dance's pace a little, he seemed calmer now that he was near to her. And her away from Julian's slimy little clutches, his eyes focused on her once more noticing her gaze was towards the balcony. Slowing the dance down so she did not trip, he was about to turn his gaze in that direction till Felicity showed up. Crevan jumped a little at her question before he stopped all together stepping into her view of Julian" I think that is best " He said softly putting his hand on Sarah's shoulder.
Julian would curse under his breath at the connection broken by those two, Adisa would smile and lean on him. " Better pull a bigger trick out of that hat of your's if you want to sway her your way. But I am guessing if you ask her to marry she could not refuse you. " She said with a smile. Before poking his side this made him turn his gaze on her. " I was using no tricks. A long gaze can some times catch some ones attention " He said softly before walking from Adisa. She pouted at hearing him doing it with out compelling her, which Sarah had some sort of feeling for Julian. Which in turn was sure to jeopardize her spot as Scion, it was even know across this realm that Dragons hoarded gold. And the prince was priceless to have, she stalked after Julian" You know on second thought forget her. I am sure you can find some one else. " Julian chuckled lightly and shook his head, " I wont give up till he marks her. Till then she is free to be swayed by any one tricks or not " He said softly. He noticed the horror in her eyes even as he tried to play it off with a smile. " I know ....means i might have to give you up as my source of food any way " She felt a pang of pain and self preservation kicked in. " Ah...fun times " She said softly walking away from him, she had to find Anya quickly who seemed to be hiding now. She was never there when she needed a pawn, and she needed one now most of all.
~*~
Anya yawned lightly behind her hand she was used to sleeping at least part of the night, she had enjoyed watching Sarah dance even if it was with Julian. She had a inkling of what might be happen to him, he seemed to be rebelling much like his Sister had. She hoped it was just a phase that would pass or the throne would be with out a heir and this would leave the king and queen vulnerable to assassination, something that Anya was not to keen on. Meant that she would have to start tasting both there meals again before allowing them to eat. She had been at least poisoned three times in being a Scion for Damien, her mother had taught her what special herbs would fix certain poisons.
She taught her through actually poisoning her, then explaining which root would be good for her to rid her self of the poison. Then she would randomly poison her food, it had made Anya learn quickly and pay attention when younger. But she had not known she was never in danger, her mother would of saved her if she had gotten it wrong. But to her at that age she thought she would die for sure, she shook the thought process from her mind. Tonight was to be fun and exciting not dreary and gloomy, she would notice how the pull between Crevan and Julian was for Sarah and it slightly concerned her. Meant the two could end up fighting, and that would be very bad for one of them.

Her amusement rose when he denied her words, yet he blushed even more. To see him do something she does on a daily basis when she was with him was a sweet reward. It was a good birthday present.
When her gaze had been captured by Julian her amusement had fled. She let Crevan stop moving and Felicity pull her away shortly after that. She didn't like how guilty she felt, knowing that Crevan knew that she – unwillingly, she wanted to think of it as – was staring at Julian as they danced. But on top of that guilt was relief. She wasn't looking at Julian and vice versa now.
"Let's go get some food." Felicity unwrapped her arm through Sarah's and seemed to support her slightly as they walked.
Felicity hated how unnerved Sarah was. And she absolutely despised the way the Prince had his attention set on Sarah. She betted that he wasn't wanting Sarah because he had fallen in love with her at first sight.
Which was a myth.
The whole reason why Sarah was not the queen of the Seelie court was because she wouldn't have felt love. Not even from her subjects. So please forgive her if she didn't trust Julian as far as she could throw him.
At the sight of the table laden with food, Sarah felt her stomach grumble lightly. Her knees shook a tad, the rush of feelings making them weak. Right then she was thankful Felicity helped her. Occasionally she had looked back at Crevan, and when their gazes met she smiled, as if she didn't feel slightly off. And she thought, 'After I eat I'll continue to dance with him.'
While she looked over the selection (her eyes became slightly wide with joy at the desserts from New Orleans(, Felicity looked up and around for Julian.
Maybe if she summoned some fog to hide Sarah from him alone he'd get the hint and leave her daughter be.
((I didn't mention Anya because Adisa couldn't find her either. Lol))

Crevan would smile to Sarah as her mother escorted her to the food, he would slowly follow them staying a few steps behind. He wanted to keep a eye on Julian encase he tried anything, he was feeling that he might lose her entirely if he did not watch it. Crevan would smile to her again when she looked back at him, when she would turn away he would look to Julian who would smile it looking a little mischievous. This made Crevan make a fist clenching his fingers tightly before he relaxed, he noticed Adisa had seemed to disappear this made him feel a little concerned.
He would look around to see if he could find her, with her no where insight of the crowd that feeling only grew so he started to walk over to Sarah.
Anya would smile as she came up behind Sarah and put her hands over her eyes" Guess who " She giggled softly. She would let go after a moments and smiles " Sorry I had to check on some things " She said softly licking her fingers gently as if she had just ate a pastry. " So how are you feeling about your night?" She asked softly she seemed so happy to be able to be apart of Sarah's birthday. Crevan was relieved to see Anya next to Sarah so he would start to look around for Julian again, he had disappeared into the crowd he was furious now but would keep it inward instead of letting it show.
Julian happens to be tucked in the corner being bombarded by Lords wanting him to marry their daughters. He would make excuses and turn down offers, saying she was not the right girl for him. To the lords he was being a fool, but in truth all they wanted was their line to be set into the royal blood line. Julian felt that none of them were worthy of him, and his mother tend to agree. Though if she knew what he had be doing to Sarah, she would of been very furious with him.

To be honest, she didn't expect for her vision to suddenly go dark. Though no sooner than it did she relax at Anya's question. "Hum … Anya?" she asked, her mouth curving upward in a broad smile. She hasn't seen Anya all day – at least, since Sapphira whisked her away to teach her glamour. It was good to hear a familiar voice.
And, as she turned around and showed that smile to Anya, see a friendly face. "I'm having a blast," she nearly squealed, wrapping her arms around Anya in a hug. Then she pulled back suddenly, and squinted her eyes in mock accusation. "You knew, didn't you?" It was obvious she was light-hearted in her question. Of course, she couldn't really be mad at her best friend for keeping this a secret from her.
Felicity couldn't help but feel relief for much the same reason Crevan did. She, too, was looking for the prince and his scion. Or what she assumed was his scion. The more she looked the surer she became in her decision to block Julian's sight. But she grew frustrated – and she wasn't afraid to look for it.
Of course, it didn't help that a lot of bodies were dancing in synch.
She looked back at her daughter's bright face, and was struck by something the seer had said before Sarah had been born.
Favored by the sun.
It wasn't the hair, or the eyes, or the dress – all golden – that made her guess what that meant. But her joy that made her glow like the sun. And here Felicity thought the seer meant Oberon, who was deemed the king of day.
Of course, she didn't stop to think of the seer's love for homophones. And so she stood and found it … awesome that Sarah looked like a mini sun.

Anya embraced her friend tightly once she had turned around, she giggled feeling wonderful that her friend was happy with the party. But when she pulled back suddenly she became a little shocked, but hearing her words elicited a blush from her " Um..." She giggled again when she realized her friend was just teasing her. " Yes actually I did I was sworn not to say anything " She whispered blushing more feeling a little foolish. she would bounce a little with excitement " I saw you dancing with the prince. " She leaned in seeing Crevan feverishly looking for him. " Do you prefer him over Crevan?" She asked softly. She wondered if the Prince would steal Crevan's pet from him, but she knew Crevan and he would not let go so easily; no his anger would not be with Sarah but the young man. Alister would seem to pop up beside Felicity tapping his finger against his chin," Looking for something,Ja?"his voice sounded like he had sung the words. He chuckled watching her his thought danced along to Crevan, he was wondering if he might be able to devour the soul that was caste inside Crevan after all. The turn of events at this ball had his line of demons buzzing from here to the ever after, something would happen that would strike the forgotten bells steeped in the tainted holy ground.
~*~
The King would stand and bow to his queen having her smile before she stood to follow him, they would join the dancing. It was his excuse to find his son who seemed to be playing a game, he had felt the tension in Laina's worrisome face. It some times made her look her age, this he was not at all happy about. No he did not care if she looked old it was the worry she had that would haunt him, he wanted her carefree as she should be. The ball room would part as they danced in a lavish waltz, he would spin her quickly letting her ballroom gown swish and twirl as she did so. The dance turned from the waltz to something more sultry as the music changed to the tango. He would lead her across the ballroom before flipping her back for her to look up at him with devilish eyes, she would whip back her hair touching the floor as her eyes quickly scanned the room. He slowly brought her back up he seemed feverish with wanting to give her a kiss, she could only smile as her hands gently came down to caress his face before she would spin away. He would dance after her watching the room as he did so, Adisa he spotted by her self as she became ensnared by the dance. When their bodies met once more her back was to him as his hand caressed down her, he then took up her hands leading her around the ballroom. Her face flushed as if in desire though truly her energy was not still good enough that this feverish dance would end her night soon if they did not spot him. He could feel her tremble with exhaustion, he did not know how much longer she would last seeming to use sheer will power at the moment.
They would spot him not far from Sarah as if he was waiting for them to leave her side, the queen would twirl out again and he was shocked to see that her skin was a whole new pale. He did not think she could turn a shade more milky then her skin already was, He would dance to her and pull her close as the music changed to a more slow tempo and he just held her close. At that moment the ballroom alighted with a roar of cheers and clapping, she breathed deeply as his arms wrapped tightly around her. He would whisper his voice deep," That's it breath my darling... I found him" She would cling to him with the little strength left she had before he sweep her up off her feet. Her eyes would flutter as if she was going to pass out. He seemed to rush from the dance floor to get her out of sight before she did, Crevan had caught on to what they were doing and had spotted Julian. He would be damned if he lost sight of him again as people started to file from the side lines to dance again.
