( Jewel) They were sitting in the back of his truck, with the windows open and the radio playing soft music. They were parked near a river by the forest with the moon glowing brightly down on them. It was the picture perfect scenario of a romantic outing. However looks were deceiving. He had drugged her, his own girlfriend back at the house party that he had taken her to. Originally he was going to take her upstairs to his boy's room and see if he could get lucky there and finally see if she was his mate once he changed her but she had wanted to go home, even in her drugged state. Which was why he drove here, to this peaceful setting and had moved to the backseat with her, gently stroking the side of her neck where he would bite her to change her. He felt really strongly about this one. Sybil was everything he wanted, he knew that if he just changed her into being a shifter, he would finally feel those mate tingles and he'd have a mate. It was time. He couldnt-wouldnt wait any longer. "I know this isnt your house. I thought this would calm you before I took you home." He brushed his finger against her cheek, smiling and moving closer, locking her in between the steel interior of the truck and the side of his body. "Relax babe, I'm not going to hurt you." He smiled and pressed a kiss against her cheek, trying to bring her closer by pushing her shoulder into his chest. "God you smell so good."

Okay, so she's never been to a house party before. Because her parents never let her out of the house to let her go. And now that she has gone she never wanted to go back. Not because of the obvious alcohol there or the equally obvious drugs. But the people there … they were either intoxicated or leering at her. When her eyesight began to get fuzzy she immediately knew something was wrong. She wanted to go home right away.
Sybil trusted Lane with her life. So when she told him she suspected someone obviously spiked the punch, she didn't accuse him. No matter how ridiculous his choice was about going to the house party instead of going to see the movie about Jesus when He was a kid. She would never put him in an ill light.
Her head was fuzzy, like a staticky TV station. She could barely keep a coherent thought. Sybil let him put her head on his chest because of this. Otherwise she would have resisted. Feeling his fingers against her face and neck didn't elicit a reaction from her like when Ruby steadied her from falling – and Ruby didn't touch her skin other than her wrist and cheek! She didn't know whether or not it was a good thing.
Wait. It is a good thing!
"Do I?" she mumbled, closing her eyes and burrowing her face further into his chest. What a weird statement. But she was too out of it to notice. "Thank you?"

"You're welcome." Lane smiled down at her, brushing the soft strands of her hair as she snuggled into his chest. He took it in the way that she wanted to be closer to him and was feeling the same way as he was. He kissed the top of her head and caressed her shoulder, trying to make her feel at ease and comfortable with just this.
It wouldn't do if he just rushed in and scared her away. He had to ease her into wanting him. Which he knew she did. Because he was all that she wanted-religious, handsome and caring.
"I want to kiss you." Lane found her chin and bought it up, smiling down at her. "May I babe?" He brushed his thumb along her jaw and slowly eased down, until his lips met hers. It was a gentle kiss, just a small peck on the lips until he gradually insisted with his lips for more.
At the same time? He started moving his hand underneath the hem of the shirt she wore, trying to lift it up and away from her body so that he could see everything that she's been hiding from him.

Sybil's first kiss should have been with her husband. Which was going to be Lane. So it shouldn't have mattered all that much, right? When Lane leaned down and pressed his lips against her novice ones?
Wrong. It felt so wrong. She promised God to be celibate until marriage. And so far, it had gone good. Lane respected her wishes because he had the same ones. So when he asked she told him no. Just a small, hesitant no. Maybe he didn't hear her, and that was why he kissed her without permission. And she was ready to forgive the gentle peck.
But he kissed her again. And again. And again. Her movements were too slow and to even stop him the first few times. But her fingers curled themselves within his shirt before she tried pushing him away. "No, Lane," she said, her voice louder. But it didn't have the firmness that it should have. When she felt his hand againt her skin her stomach tightened as if shrinking away from him.
One of her hands let go of his shirt so that she could wrap it around his powerful wrist. "Lane, I said no," she said, a bit frantic. "Please. I made a promise."

Lane ignored her at first, continuously kissing her, enjoying the feel of her lips beneath him. He loved this part-the part where in just few moments he would finally find out if the girl he had been courting was his mate. The anticipation urged him on, his lips becoming harsh and his hand relentless as it group around Sybil's hip, he spread his fingers letting his hand get to know his mate's curves.
At his name, he pulled back and made a low whining noise in the back of his throat, the wolf in him wanting to see if finally he would be given his mate. "Babe..." Lane pressed his nose against her throat-not at all moving his hand even though he could feel her hand tugging it away. He enjoyed the struggle-maybe that was why he continued changing people in hopes that they would be his mate. Because he loved to see them struggle. Loved to see their faces when they saw him for what he was. Loved to take them as they begged not to. And it was just a major bonus if they happened to be his mate.
"I know Sybil, I made a promise too...but it wouldnt hurt since we're going to be married anyway. Please, Sybil. Just a little. I'll stop if anything." Lane cupped her hip, pressing her closer and curling one leg around one of hers, his other hand sliding down her back and back up until he cupped her nape and pulled her back close to his face.
"Just a little babe." He kissed her jaw, moving his head lower to lick at her jumping pulse, enjoying the scent of her and knowing that he was lying when he said he'd stop. He never stopped.

Her mouth was sore from his kisses. So sore she winced when pressing her lips in a grim line while she thought. She had taken sex eduction her freshman year of high school, which was five years ago. Not only that, but she didn't pay all that much attention to the many ways of saying "No" because she didn't think she would ever be in this situation.
Maybe because this was her first time. Or possibly because she was drugged. Either way, she had to admit that it did feel kind of good. And what he said did make sense. They were going to get married, even if he didn't formally propose. So why not? Sybil thought before her breathing hitched. Her space was completely invaded, so she tried leaning back as best she could. To get away. To breathe.
She didn't want to lose her innocence. Not when she couldn't fully enjoy it, or when God would be disappointed. Sybil liked to keep her promises. And a promise made to her Savior was one she intended to keep. No matter what. "I want to stop now though."
She gasped when she felt his tongue against her neck, bloodshot eyes going wide. This was definitely a new experience for her. One that had her body standing at attention. Yet, it wasn't the same as Ruby's simple touches. This was more like … doing something with a different technique than you're used to. Stressful and foreign.
She felt herself grasping for the door handle behind her, fingers numbly searching against the hard plastic. Sybil pressed her face against the seat, then, not wanting for Lane to kiss her again. No, this isn't what she wanted. "Lane, please," she tried desperately again, her free hand grabbing his shirt and bunching a part of it up into a fist. "I wanna go home."

"Baby stop, everything's okay." Lane gripped her hip hard, digging his fingers into her soft skin and pulling her back against him, rubbing his nose against the curve of her collarbone. "Just a little. You'll enjoy it, so just stop babe. Stop fighting me. Im you're boyfriend. We're going to get married eventually. Just chill." He laughed against her skin and nibbled a little on her collarbone.
When he caught sight of her trying to find the door knob, it angered him and he saw red for a second, the wolf in him snapping into a crazy desire to let her go and hunt her down. Lane had different plans though so he smothered the instinct for a little hunt with Sybil being his prey and grabbed her hand away from the door, pulling it close between them.
"Why are you trying to leave me? Huh? Why are you suddenly saying no to me these days? Does this have anything to do with that bitch at the supermarket? Ive been smelling her on you recently. You cheating with me Sybil? Huh? I asked for just a little fun and now you're acting as though I'm going to hurt you." He forgot to not cuss but at this moment, he didnt really care. Until he found out whether or not Sybil was his destined mate, she was his. His.
"Not yet baby, we're gonna have a little fun then I'll take you home. Okay?" He smiled wide, pulled her fingers to his lips and kissed the tips. "Just a little babe. Show me that you love me like you say you do. Show me you like me more than that she-man that you've been spending time with. Come on. Just a little. Assure me you're loyal to me. Just a little."
Then? He ripped her shirt down, enjoying the sound of the tear and watching the shirt rip around her shoulder, exposing her cleavage and the sight only urged Lane on to the point that he kept ripping the damn shirt until finally it hung loosely on her shoulders, exposing her front to him.
"Mm babe, you're so beautiful." He maneuvered them both until he laid on top of her and she laid flat against the seats, their legs tangled and squished but the most importantly thing was that he now had both wrists in one hand above her trapped and one hand free to roam around however he please.
"Just a little." He hummed, running his fingers down her sides and bowing his head to kiss the hallow of her breasts. "Just a little." He mumbled against her skin and then licked at the curve of her exposed tit, closing his eyes to enjoy the taste-anticipation running high.

Sybil's throat let out a hiss of pain, her soft skin also like a banana's peel - easy to bruise. Her skin touched by the cool breeze coming in from the window raised as she suddenly shivered and moaned. It was half in arousal and half in despair. He wasn't listening to her.
But then she squeaked in fright, feeling as if she was going to be slapped or hurt physically. This would only solidify her assumption that everything was, on the contraryn not "okay". "I w-would never cheat!" she stammered, closing her eyes tightly so that she couldn't look into his face. "Especially no-ot with a girl." Sybil didn't stop her defending herself to wonder what he was talking about when he said he could smell Ruby on her. No, she was too busy trying to convince that she was a loyal girlfriend. Shoot, if Sybil found out Lane was cheating she wouldn't call him out on it. She would be the type of person to turn the other cheek.
That was how loyal she was.
It didn't matter if Lane's hand was gripping too hard as he accused her of believing that he would. She wasn't going to call him out on it. She was too afraid to. Tears pricked her eyes a bit, yet other than a little sniffle she didn't outright cry. "I'm sorry, Lane," she whispered, her tone thick with emotion. With each kiss he gave her fingers the less she cried. The tears receded for the moment, and slowly she opened her eyes to look at him. Well, as best she could, considering he was a bit fuzzy to her.
"Just a little," she finally conceded, nodding a bit as if reassuring herself as well as agreeing to him. But Sybil wasn't expecting for her shirt to be ripped up. A gasp of shock escaped her lips, more goosebumps arriving in their prickly way. Underneath her bra, her nipples peaked. She didn't like how it felt. How inexperienced she was at this. Do people rip each other's shirts off when they're in a situation like hers? "My shirt," she squeaked, horrified, as she tried to cover her skin with the remains of it.
Sybil let herself be laid down, her braid caugh underneath her back as well as the buckles. Those, she thought while wheezing underneath Lane's weight, were going to leave a bruise, whether Lane's had did or not. Even though their legs were tangled she found that one of her feet were pressed firmly against the door on the other side. Strangely, she was happy that one of her feet were free, even if her wrists weren't. One twist against each other not only revealed how frail they were, but emphasized that Lane had a strong hold. There was no way her hands were getting free. Her throat closed up in fear because of that.
Everywhere his free hand went, it sent a trail of blazing fire against her skin. It was as if her body was trying to say that this wasn't right. Or, she hoped it was saying that. His tongue was even worse, feeling like lava sinking down to her veins. Yet her body arched upwards, a sound coming from something deep within Sybil that she never knew she had. Something primal. An aroused state of being. "Just a little," she reminded him. "Please."

"No? Never?" Lane enjoyed the sight of her face and bent down, smirking a little. "Good lass. Because if I ever find out that you do cheat on me...I'm not going to be happy. But you promising me that you'll never cheat, it makes me very very happy." He brushed back the almost tears and kissed her shaking lips.
"Mm I forgive you babes." He brushed his lips down her throat, rubbing the side of her stomach, getting to know her skin in a more intimate way. "I love you so much babe. You're the best girlfriend ever you know that? I'm so lucky to have you. You're the best. Just a little I promise. I'll never hurt you. You're so precious to me babes. You're so pretty." He kissed her cheek, then her eyes, then her forehead, her nose, her lips, her chin, lower and lower until he was kissing the hallow of her throat, briefly smirking at the sound of her squeak.
"Just a little." He agreed, brushing his lips against the curve of her breasts, nipping at the delicate globe gently as his other hand snaked lower down her abdomen until his fingers were playing with her button and zipper. By the time she would notice what he was doing, he already pushed one hand down her pants-holding her body down with his weight and keeping her legs spread with his knees.
"Ssshh, just a little. Relax. Just a little. Shush." He grinned and kissed her quiet, rubbing against her panties before quickly tugging down on her pants-not letting her go until he succeeded in getting them off. "Just a little." He tugged on her panties next, not listening to anything she was saying and when he got those off too. Well. All he had to do was unzip his pants and pull it out.
Then? He used his hand to cover her mouth and when he entered her? Well he bent down and bit down on her as well-not a mates mark but the kind of bite that will begin the change.
(Timeskip because I can't rp this out any further)
He didn't notice the lack of tingles until after he was done having fun with Sybil. When he finally let her go and was zipping back his pants up, was when he realized that the change should have finished already and therefore he should be feeling tingles right about now.
So he moved out his hand to brush back some hair from her face and then...nothing.

He was so rough. Her femininity was throbbing. No. It was bleeding. Sybil didn't think that he would be so ... big. Or she would be so tiny. When he entered her the first time, she screamed against his hand. And until he pulled out for the last time, she was sobbing and moaning and screaming.
But it wasn't just her nether regions that hurt. It was everywhere else too. When he bit her, she thought it wtas just a fetish of his - he's been nibbling on her all night, after all. But - this sounded crazy - the bite seemed to be the center of the waves of pain that washed over her. Her body shook like a leaf, the spasms were so terrible. Sybil swore that she could feel bones meld together or break apart. Her stomach tossed and turned like a small boat in the unforgiving ocean.
And then ... she changed.
It was a slow process. One that stole her of breath and darkened her vison for a good twenty seconds. She arched her back when it felt like a donkey kicked her there. Then she passed out at the pain.
When she woke, she was in a different body. Her hands and feet were now hooves. She cold flick her ears back and forth. Her vision was totally out of whack. And she had a tail. Fear made her heart race, and when she tried standing up, she immediately fell back down. The sound that was intended to be a cry for help turned out to be a bleat.
The second time she tried to stand resulted in the same thing as the first try. In fact, it wasn't until she was hearing ominoous cracks in the woods behind her that she finally stood up and stayed up. She had to get out of here. No time to actually wonder why she was a deer.
This has got to be a dream. A nightmare.
Sybil stumbled like a drunk through the trees, not sure where she was going yet too lost to turn back. Then suddenly, grass became pavement. The restless rustling her hooves caused changed to hurried clop-clop-clop-clop. She had came across a highway! Sybil can find her way home!
She followed it a ways, her drunken stumbling turning into an agitated gallop. Instead of being smart, she ran down the median, taking up a little of both lanes. She was too frightened to care if a car came. Until she felt the pavement beneath her rumble and a bright light hit her eyes.
An understanding settled in the bacj of her mind, because then she stopped and couldnt help but stare in fixation at the headlights bearing down on her.

The moment he found out she wasnt his mate, he grew disgusted at her, so disgusted that he didnt even want her in the back of his truck. He grabbed her body whilst it was in the process of its change and he threw her in the woods, not at all caring what became of her. She wasnt his mate. He kicked his truck. "Fuck! Again!" Why? Everything was going so well. They were perfect together. Why...?
That bitch came to his mind and he growled out, digging for his phone in his pocket and quickly dialing Sybil's parents. Sure it was late. But they had a right to know that their daughter had cheated on him with a fucking she-man. It was the only possible explanation. How else could Sybil not be his mate? How else? She should have been his. Everything was going fine. Until that day at the supermarket. That bitch stoled his Sybil. The most potential mate yet.
So he called her parents, telling them about how much Sybil wanted to go to that party of his friends-and he only mentioned it because he wanted to tell Sybil how horrible people were these days but she pleaded with him to actually go. So they went and she started drinking. He told her not to but she woulnt listen to him, said that she wanted to have fun. And then? Then she left with this chick. And he couldnt be with someone whom partied and drank and left him for another person of the same sex. So he said his goodbyes to her parents and wished them well, asking them to be kind on Sybil because he was a kind man and he didnt want her to get in trouble despite the pain she bought him.
He was delusional. Thought he was keeping her off the path of sin. But he was also bitter. Because she didnt end up being his mate. And as always, he didnt feel like staying with some chick who wasnt even his mate. He had his fun, now he was leaving.
-
Ruby had to call it a night-she couldnt find Killian anywhere. After the incident with Allison...he's been retreating to his old ways and Ruby didnt like that. As much as he would state that he didnt mind selling himself, he did. They all did. She did. She hated those days. Would do anything to not have to relive them and she knew just how much Killian was in pain if he had to revert to those days.
But she was tired. Barely been sleeping for these past few days. Shes been hopping from bar to bar. Stripjoint to stripjoint. Club to club. Hell she even paid their usual drug dealer visits and...she only got his trail. Ruby rubbed her eyes, driving one handed on her bike in the highway. She was tired. Right now all she wanted was her bed. She didnt even want to call her ex girlfriend today to help her with the nightmares. No. She was certain she'd sleep straight through them today.
Ruby sighed and closed her eyes for a second before opening them again and then almost having a heart attack because there was suddenly a fucking deer in front of her. "Seriously?" She yelled and curled her body, it was the only way if she didnt want to hit the damn animal. Her bike went down due to gravity and she skidded off, wincing at the pain of the highway as she was pulled down.
"Shit shit shit." Ruby snapped at the deer, but it was too late, even when she reached forward with her bare fingers towards her front tire to stop it from hitting the deer, she couldnt stop it all the way. Blood spilled down from her shoulder and fingers, and her tire hurt the deer's leg.
It had all happened so fast that when she finally stopped moving on the highway, Ruby had to stay on the floor to catch her breath. The deer in front of her head, its leg trapped under the tire. Ruby forced herself up and pulled on the bike, and gritted her teeth in pain. Once her bike was off the deer's leg, she let it fall again, aware of her leg underneath it. But her leg was already messed up. God it hurt.
Ruby forced herself to take deep breaths and tend to the deer. She liked animals and she felt responsible for this one since she hurt it. "Sshh, you're good Bambi." Ruby wiped the blood on her hand off on her thigh and saw the skin from her fingers to her palm all messed up. Well of course it was. She tried to stop a fucking tire that was still going more than thirty miles per hour. And she wasnt wearing gloves. Idiot. Ruby sighed to herself and ripped up her shirt, quickly tying it to her palm. It would have to do for now.
She ripped another strand and scooted closer to the deer. "Hey, ssh, its okay. Let me see that leg. Its alright girl. Dont be afraid, I'm sorry for hurting you. Let me see." Ruby slowly reached out for its leg and extended it gently, listening closely and then smiling and slowly binding the gash on its leg. "Just a little tire burn and a cut. No broken bones. You're good Bambi. But for good measure, let me take you home." Ruby cupped the deer up in her good hand and kicked the bike away with her good leg before hopping up and picking the bike back up.
Only then did she look at her leg and she quickly looked away, not liking what she saw. It hurt to straddle the bike especially with a bad leg and bad arm. But she did it, breathing heavily. "Please dont struggle." She said breathlessly towards the animal, "I'm not trying to hurt you. Quite the contrary." Ruby started the engine and started on her way home, pushing her leg to the limit. "I have a friend who knows more about medicine than I do, so I'll let her look at you and then let you go once you're healed. Just...bear with me until then Bambi."
She felt blood coming down from her head and winced, at the sudden dizzy spell. But she's been through worse and forced herself onward.
When she finally opened the door to her apartment, it was all she could do to close it, lock it and set Bambi gently on the floor before collapsing on the floor, breathing heavily.
"Just give me a second." She huffed out.

Chital (what Sybil was at the current moment) females varied in size, going anywhere from 45 to 99 pounds. Since Sybil's human form was small enough as it is, it seemed that she shrank when in her second skin, actually weighing 70 compared to Sybil's 118.
But she didn't know that. To her, this was a really bad nightmare. Being hit by a motorcycle just added fuel to the fire.
It happened so fast that she didn't make any noise of pain. But it did hurt. Her femininity was still hurting. Her body was sore. Her leg felt the pressure of the bike more so than the damage it caused. That is, until Ruby moved it.
To be honest, she didn't even register that it was Ruby until she tried getting up again to run away. Immediately, she halted, breathing heavily. Her already wide eyes grew even wider in recognition, and she bleated. It was weird to say it, considering the last two times she's been at a close proximity with Ruby she wasn't all that excited to be remotely close to the woman. But she was glad to see her. So glad that she made a sound of greeting on top of her bleat. Or, what she assumed was greeting.
Sybil let her leg be tended to. When she felt a stinging sensation, she instinctively tried tugging it away. Just a bit though. And when Ruby picked her up, she only struggled to get comfortable. Yet, before she could, she noticed a few things.
One: Ruby was hurt.
Two: she felt a strange, tingly sensation ruffling her fur.
It was her fault, she realized. This whole night was her fault. Giving into Lane's persuasion, which ended up causing her to have a crazy nightmare. Walking in the middle of the road was a stupid idea. Of course, it didn't matter, but this nightmare felt realistic. And it was hard to distinguish real from fakes.
Her front leg was tender. So tender it was high in the air. She was too afraid to put any pressure on it. When Ruby fell, she immediately went to her and huffed in frightened concern.

It was a good thing the deer hadn't tried to escape from Ruby's arms or they would be sprawled on a side of the road instead in front of her apartment door. If the deer hadn't been as accommodating as it was, Ruby was almost positive she wouldn't have made it home. Ruby Constantine. Dead because of a deer. Well...that would be just plain odd.
Ruby smiled at little at the deer going to her in what seemed like concern. Or maybe she was just hallucinating because of the loss of blood. Either way. It made Ruby feel slightly better. "I'm alright girl." Ruby closed her eyes and took comfort from the cold tiles underneath her. "I'm alright. Just give me a second to breathe and I'll call my doctor right on over to set you right."
Ruby stayed on the floor for a few minutes, trying to stay conscious. After what seemed like forever, she finally sat up, leaned against the wall and looked for her phone. Once she found it, she forced herself to sound normal. Chloe answered on the last ring.
"What."
"I have a deer here that I almost ran over-"
"You almost ran over a deer? Are you serious? You're so horrible Ruby I can't believe you. Why couldn't you look where you're going-"
Ruby tuned out, waiting a few moments until she didn't hear anything coming from the phone. "Yes yes. I'm a horrible person. We already established this. Care to come on over and take a look at the thing? I don't think I hurt it that much but-"
"I'll be there in ten. I can't believe you sometimes. Now you're hurting animals? You're really something."
"Yeah. Thanks. I'll see you in ten." Ruby clicked on her and closed her eyes, biting her lip to keep from making any sounds. But soon she bowed her head and started laughing. God. Chloe was right. She was a horrible person. When she raised her head, her eyes were glassy as though she had almost cried.
"Well, Bambi, a doctor is coming to see you. You'll be alright. Gotta clean up though before she gets here. Make yourself at home I guess." She forced herself up using the wall as her support and hopped towards her room, forgetting to close the door.
Then? She undressed until she was nude and hopped towards the shower, quickly cleaning the majority of the blood off of her and then moving towards her bed to bandage her mess up leg. She made sure the bandages were tight and then did her arm. She glanced at her hands and quickly grabbed the gloves that were on her bed table. After that she dressed in loose clothing that covered her body so Chloe couldn't see her injuries.
She barely had enough time to mop up the blood and spray a can of frebreze before her door knocked. Ruby glanced at herself once to make sure there was no evidence of herself being injured and then at the deer before opening the door. Chloe barely glanced at Ruby before pushing past her, her shoulder hitting Ruby's bad one. Ruby's fingers clenched on the doorframe and she bit her lip to not make a pained sound. Once she got it under control, she closed the door and walked normally towards the couch.
"It looks so frightened." Chloe placed her bag down and kneeled on the floor near Sybil, gently whispering to her to come. "Come on girl. Let me look at you." Compared to the way she had been speaking with Ruby, her voice was soft and sweet, instantly smoothing. But for Ruby. It was the most horrible thing to listen to. After all, Chloe had caused Ruby to almost...almost change. That voice has smoothed her down and then it destroyed her all over again. Ruby sighed and eased down on the seat, trying to not groan in pain from her leg.

Sybil watched Ruby leave the room, concern canoeing through her veins. And guilt clawing at her conscious. Ruby was more hurt than she was, yet Ruby was having someone come look at her.
She had to make up for it. But how? This was just a dream. And she didn't know how to … change. Sybil took a deep breath, then let it out through her nose. Slowly, she sat on her haunches, and looked around the room. She didn't think of where Ruby lived. But she wasn't expecting it to look so normal.
Then again, Ruby was just a normal person. The only difference was that she liked girls.
In dreams, the events seem to be crammed together, and not very detailed. If at all. These ten minutes didn't feel like a few seconds. They actually felt like ten minutes. And that was her reality check.
Literally.
She was moving around restlessly by the time Chloe finally came in. Of course, she wasn't using her injured leg. She desperately wanted to believe this was a dream. Then it would be more plausible for her to be a deer.
What did Lane do to her?!
At first, she stamped one of her back hooves on the ground, as if trying to get their attention.? "I'm not a deer!" she tried to say, but all that came out was a series of bleats.
This was frustrating,
Finally, she walked to Chloe with no fear. Just … distracted. She was too consumed with trying to figure out how to tell them – especially Ruby – that she was Sybil. Otherwise she would have shown Ruby's wounds to Chloe. Ruby needed it more than Sybil.
How was she going to show that she was human?
Then suddenly, Sybil's back bowed inward, as if someone punched her. One ear shrank, then the other, pores opened slightly, and her hooves became hands and feet.
It hurt. Just as much as the first time. Which meant that she passed out from the pain.
When she woke, she was nude. The sudden cold had her skin erupting in goosebumps. Her hair, which had escaped from its braid, was in a wavy mess around her shoulders. And there was a yellowing bruise on her hip, where Lane was holding on just a bit too hard. Blood, as well. On her inner thighs.
She didn't speak, but she did show that she was alive by quickly curling herself into a ball, eyes wide. Maybe she should have thought a bit more on this.

Chloe smiled down at the deer and Ruby watched them interact before glancing away, knowing that if it was anyone but Ruby herself, Chloe wouldnt treat them unfairly. Chloe petted the deer and then opened her bag, about to pull out some hydrogen peroxide when a bone cracked. The sound filled the room and Ruby snapped her head back towards them, her lips open in a attempt to ask Chloe what the hell she did but then she just...kept it open as she stared at the deer.
Which slowly shifted...shifter? Ruby hadnt smelled it. But then again she never heard of a deer shifter before. For crying out loud that was almost unheard of. She's dealt with angels, demons, all kinds of shifters but a deer shifter? Ruby was...shocked. So shocked that she didnt notice the now familiar scent that was rafting through the room. The same scent that was on the deer but that she unconsciously pushed aside because there was no way that Sybil was a shifter. Unconsciously that was why she had been kinder to the deer because it reminded her of Sybil. But Sybil was a human. Ruby knew this. Ruby...Ruby stared at the woman lying nude in front of Chloe.
It was Sybil. Ruby couldnt help but stare, her eyes expertly catching everything that Sybil had to show. The brusies, both on her hips and her wrists, and the blood staining her inner thighs. She glanced back at her face once Sybil curled into a ball and yes. It was Sybil. But...how-
Lane.
Ruby's eyes turned yellow and she saw red. That bastard. Oh god she was going to kill him. That bastard. She should have killed him when she first saw him. Now that she remembered Sybil's boyfriend, she could smell him on her. She shot up, not caring for her leg and grabbed the blanket that was covering the couch she had been sitting on. She moved down to Sybil and instantly covered her with the soft comforter, pushing back the strands of hair from her face.
"Sybil? Sybil are you okay?" Stupid question. God so stupid. Ruby then eased her arms under Sybil and picked her up, wincing from the added weight-before it would have been no problem but her leg-and moved quickly to her couch, setting her down and kneeling down in front of her on the floor, framing her face with her hands. "You're going to be okay. Okay? You're with me now, Sybil. Okay? You're safe." She pushed back Sybil's hair, smiling warmly at her and ignoring the pain in her body.
"...She's a shifter. Did you know this? Who is she?" Chloe spat, her tone turning jealous at the sight of how...sweet Ruby was being with the new girl. Who was this chick? Chloe never saw Ruby being this sweet. Not even to her. Chloe clenched her purse and felt like throwing it at Ruby.
"No, she was human. She got changed...this is all new to her Chloe, can you get her a glass of water please? Bambi where does it hurt?" Ruby didnt realize she called Sybil by the deer's nickname but it felt...natural.
"I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'll kill him. Okay? I'll kill him for hurting you."
