“Honestly I don’t know what it is that I’m saying that always gets you riled up Leonhart. Maybe you just don’t like the sound of my voice.” Armin mused, still playing with that strand of his hair, seeing her eyes fixed on it. Or was she looking at something else? Armin’s mark started to pulse with heat and he dropped the strand, seeing the blush forming on Annie’s face before she looked away from him.
Armin sighed when she escaped once more, he couldn’t blame her. Armin had a feeling this was the first time Annie lived with someone. Alone. It was the same for Armin and as a result, he found himself rambling on. Apparently Annie didn’t care for it. Armin groaned, rubbed at his hair, and went about getting ready for a long day of shopping.
Armin wasn’t a big shopper himself but picking out outfits for Annie? Well what guy wouldn’t want to do stuff like that for their girl? He would have to rent a car as well, not wanting to take cabs for the rest of the month. It was bad enough getting in a car, but having strangers drive him around? No. Plus he wouldn’t mind some night drives with Annie, just the two of them. Armin smiled, hearing her earlier words that Annie had taken his advice. He looked at the green bottle and saw a tiny step forward. Good for her. Armin was proud.
He got out of there a few minutes later, smelling Annie’s scent close and noticing her form sitting on one of the chairs. A magazine covering her face. Armin chuckled at the sight but kept going, wanting to get to the rental shop before it got any later. A cab and a hour and a half later, Armin was driving towards the mall via gps in a white SUV when in reality Armin already wanted to head on back to Annie.
Armin checked the radio, looking for anything to distract him, finding a rock station that he liked and maunvered his way around the little island. The ‘mall’ was really a bunch of shops all spread out along one road. Armin found a parking spot about halfway in, passing by some shops he had made a mental note to pass by. Locking the door, Armin stuffed his keys into his pockets and strolled down the street, entering any shop that he found curious.
It took him a while and a few trips back to the car before Armin was satisfied that he had gotten enough. He was taking one last stroll when he paused outside a jewelry shop. Armin entered, hearing the shells signaling his arrival. Like most of the shops around here. The constant reminder that Armin was near the sea was relaxing to him and Armin strolled around the shop, his eyes scanning all the different types of jewelry. Some were made by hand, others looked as pretty as the ones in jewelry shops. Armin paused by the rings, already hearing Annie’s annoyed complaints that he was pushing for something again.
“Got a special lady on your mind?” The middle age store owner said from next to him and Armin smiled at her sweetly.
“Yes but she would kill me if I gave her one of these.” Armin said and the woman laughed, patting him gingerly on his arms.
“Ah young love. Let me know if you change your mind.” The woman patted him again before making her rounds, going to the other couple in the room. Armin sighed and was about to turn away when he paused. One pair of rings catching his attention. Armin waited till the woman was done with the couple before flagging her down.
About four hours after Armin had left the resort, he was finally back. It took him a minute to find the parking lot for guests and he loaded his arms with all the bags, not wanting to take another trip down back here. Armin made his way back to the cabin, ignoring the stares and the giggles from the females. Yes Armin knew he looked ridiculous covered in bags, a good fifteen-twenty of them. He didn’t care. Knowing that each bag carried something for Annie and a bit for him as well.
Armin struggled with getting the key out of his pocket but managed. He took his shoes off by the door, hearing the tv playing. Armin made his way towards the living room and dropped all the bags onto the table, untangling himself from the plastic mess and searching for something and then sticking it in his pocket.
Armin stared at the bags, knowing he had gotten her everything from regular clothes, to some pajamas, sexy lingerie, comfy underwear, bras, swimsuits, socks, a bath rob, silk robes, red blue black and white, there was something about the silk and Annie’s skin that Armin wanted to experiment on, a few dresses and skirts, a few more hoodies and jackets, some hats for them, sunglasses too, sunscreen and lotions, there were a couple bags of clothes in there for him too, more shorts and shirts mostly, and a few more items he thought Annie would like. Armin even got a few board games and some chips and nicknacks to pick on.
He bit his lip, turning around and heading toward the couch, feeling tired and a bit nervous about his choices. Armin gripped the box hidden in his pocket and sighed, grabbing the remote and changing her program, flipping for something eye catchy.

Armin took so long that Annie found herself leaving again. She found herself in a spa place that was also a nail salon. She wanted to keep trying on her own, to listen to Armin. The whole thing felt bizarre to her, being here, but she was attempting to get out of her comfort zone so she could distract her otherwise preoccupied brain. Sighing, she asked to get her nails done. The lady was talkative and kept trying to coax a conversation out of Annie and after a while, she learned to work in silence as she cleaned up Annie's cuticle and asked Annie if she wanted acrylics or gel.
At this, Annie frowned and said that her nails where okay. At this, the women frowned and Annie flushed knowing that that wasn't the usual answer. After some time they decided just to paint her nails and Annie settled on the most basic nude color. She compromised for her inability to actually try to find something nice and let them paint her toes too. Some how, she got coaxed into something called a Brazilian wax because they had some sort of discount and Annie was most definitely not prepared for what happened next.
Flustered at the attack of hot waxes and quick pulls from her armpits, legs, and most private of parts. Annie left the salon with even her eyebrows done, she drew the line at hair trimming and massage, not trusting the ladies to be gentle and not wanting to be touched for a more prolonged amount of time. It was barely just after noon now and Annie found a hiking trail that promised luxurious views.
Out of curiosity and feeling a bit grumpy, she started going through the hiking trail, engulfed in nature half a mile into it and she found herself going off trail for a bit before finding a clearing. She couldn't smell anyone around there and decided to do a bit of exercise. She still felt some pent up energy that she decided to take off on a tree and soon thereafter, she found herself kicking and punching the poor thing with everything she had until he legs threatened to buckle under her.
She sighed, staring at the tree and cleared her throat. "I actually like your voice." She said, crossing her arms in front of herself defensively. "I actually like you, a lot, and it's so obvious I keep fucking up. You're... You're absolutely beautiful," She found herself chuckling. "You're gentle and nice and pure and all the things that I'm not because I'm... Just a bitch. A bitch who hurts you physically and with her words. A bitch who doesn't do anything but react bad every time you say something that she actually likes to hear but doesn't know how to react to."
Annie sighed, hitting the tree one more time out of frustration before stumbling and limping out of the clearing and towards their room. She was happy he wasn't back yet, it gave her a chance to take her third shower of the day. Shortly after, Annie was cussing when she realized she forgot to turn on the dryer and the clothes that she was wearing where still midcycle in the washer.
She wrapped herself in her towel and was glaring at the ocean through the glass on the bedroom floor when he finally made it back. She hated to admit it, but his return made her happy. "I was listening to that," She lied with a tease, eyes falling on the amount of bags and she felt awful. Of course Armin would go above and beyond. She had expected a couple of shirts and some pants... Not a whole wardrobe.
Annie made her way around the couch and sat down on the edge, cheeks red. She was covered in purple bruises and small red wounds. From her elbows down to her hand and across her lower leg, knees, and even some on her thighs. She had gone at it a bit rougher than she thought she would, but Armin had guided her actions and she recalled feeling the need to get stronger, so she could put up more of a fight next time he lost control and hopefully be able to protect him from his new shift.
"Arlert... This is..." she went through a bag and visibly relaxed when she noticed it was clothing for him too and not just all hers. "Thank you." She said genuinely with a smile, her heart beating faster and a small blush on her cheeks. No one has ever gone to the extent to get her something and even though she asked this from him, he took it father on his own, and Annie realized she never received gifts. She felt unsettled, a tad overwhelmed, but happy and she hoped he wouldn't be able to pick up on the hesitation through the bond.
Automatically, she opened her mouth to say something rude and standoffish but quickly closed her lips and decided to ensure the safety of her towel around her naked body before she leaned forward and placed her hand on his head, petting him. "You didn't cut your hair." She said softly, trying to distract the situation away from herself.

“Were you?” Armin settled on a action movie playing and turned to face Annie. She was dressed in a towel again which drove Armin wild, as much as the bruises and red marks covering her skin.
Armin raised his brow, not liking the wounds at all. He had been gone only a couple hours and Annie looked like she managed to rumble with a bear. “What did I miss?” Armin scooted closer on the couch towards Annie and reached out to touch her elbow. Armin hesitated and pulled his hand back, bending to look at her legs.
“Sparring by yourself isn’t fun.” Armin scolded her, especially since Annie went overboard. He would have to buy her some padding, thinking of the shop he had passed earlier. Armin knew he should have went in but he hadn’t wanted this trip to be about training. At least not yet. Armin grumbled under his breath, getting up and going through one of the bags where he had bought a med-kit. He took the purple bandages that were loose inside that bag and walked back to Annie.
“You’re welcome, really it was my pleasure. I’ve never done something like this so I hope I got some things you actually like.” Armin sat back down, feeling proud of himself because Annie had smiled and blushed at him. It made Armin feel accomplished, like he finally did something right. Armin lowered his eyes to open the small box and paused at the feel of her petting him.
Armin relaxed under her touch, feeling his smile curling upwards. He pulled a sheet of the small bandages and softly started putting one after the other on all the open wounds. “I wasn’t feeling it when I got to one. Plus too much time had passed already and I just wanted to come home.” Armin finished with her legs and pulled back from her pets to get the ones across her arms.
“We have a rental car too, it’s the white SUV in the parking garage. We should go on a night drive one of these nights. I saw a couple of bars and nice restaurants by the water. There’s music and the food smelled good too.” Armin took her hands and wrapped the few cuts. Armin studied his handiwork and nodded, thinking it would do. Armin was still holding Annie’s hand and brought her bandages fingers to his lips. Kissing each one of her bandaged fingers before smiling up at her and letting her hand go.
“Have you eaten? I haven’t. I’m starved. Want to eat out tonight? Take the car for a spin.” Armin relaxed back into the chair, resting one arm behind Annie but not touching her.

"I wasn't sparring by myself, I was sparring with a tree." She informed him dryly. Glancing at the bandages and reaching out for them but chuckling when Armin ignored her advances and started patching her up. She sat really still, letting him work on her while she was mentally having a breakdown. The tingles and tickles that came from his light touches had her stomach doing flips and Annie was sure she'd puke if she had food in her system. It wasn't because it was unpleasant, no, it was just that she didn't know how to get accustomed to the feeling.
'It's okay... It's okay, it's okay, It's okay..." She kept chanting the words in her head as she willed herself to hold still under his touch and not pull away. She calmed down after a while, a soft tint of pink staining her nose as she fought back the pleasure that came once she convinced herself that it was okay to let Armin touch her because she liked Armin. "I was just..." She sighed when he got to her hands and arms, not wanting to bring up the heavy subject now.
Annie supposed that it was good that they had a talk while she was under the influence of Alcohol. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been so honest with Armin or have even ever allowed him to speak to her and get through to her. Plus, she didn't have to own up to the events because she could play stupid, which also put Annie in a much calmer mindset. She would own up to the night when she was ready and when she wanted.
Armin Arlert had actually managed to convince her of a few things, and Annie was surprised with how she was taking his advice so well and putting in an effort. She was stubborn, she knew it and when she lost her composure she usually reacted with violence. She didn't want to keep hurting Armin and therefore had to constantly tell herself that it was okay. She only wished that it was so easy to vocalize her feelings to him as it was to talk to the damn tree, but she knew that wasn't possible.
Still, she could only try. "I've... I've never had anyone..." She waved her hands at the gifts and closed her mouth, not knowing how to get the words off of her chest, she ended up shrugging. "Thanks I suppose." I don't know how to show it but I appreciate you so much more than you can ever know. She wanted to say those words to him but once again, she found herself unable to form the words in her throat. Instead, she slipped her callused hands in his and gave him a light squeeze, looking away in shyness.
"you got yourself a car?" She chuckled, shifting to look over at him. "Well look at you go." She was teasing him but abruptly stopped because why did she have to be such a bitch? She knew how he felt about it and her automatic response was to make fun of him and that just wasn't good. How did he not hate her when she was constantly like this? Groaning, she made a mental note to watch what she would say to him and sat up at the mention of food.
"I'm starving and that sounds like a date." She said as casually as she could, looking into his eyes. She had meant it, but she hated how it sounded rolling off of her lips so sarcastically. Still, she looked into his eyes and watched his reaction, ready to make a joke about her own words and make fun of him depending on his reaction. While watching him, her stupid mouth moved on it's own and she found herself slowly and mockingly saying, "What do you suppose I wear for such a special event." She retorted.
And she wanted to slap herself.

“A tree?” Armin asked amused, glancing up into Annie’s eyes and bit his lip to keep from laughing too loud.
“Should I be worried about said tree? I have a few wraps.” Armin teased her lightly, not minding their little digs at each other. But all fun aside, Armin didn’t like that Annie felt a need to vent out her frustrations on a damn tree. Armin wondered if he was the reason behind all these bruises and wounds. He was pretty sure he was. Considering everything that had happened, including last night.
And despite it all? Annie was still here with him. Looking at the pile of bags with eyes full of emotion, warmth and mixed emotions flowing through to Armin due to their bond, which had intensified during the day. Armin could feel what she wanted to say in so little words.
Armin squeezed Annie’s fingers when she did, wanting Annie to know that he understood. “Get used to it Annie, I might have found my favorite pastime.” He tried to lighten her mood, knowing that if he thanked her with sweet words, she would probably get upset again.
“I did.” Armin winked at her, enjoying her teasing. It didn’t bother Armin as it did Annie, knowing that it was just their way of expressing themselves. Half the things he said or did, sometimes were completely different to what was planned.
“I didn’t think I can handle another cab driver.” Armin admitted, rubbing at his neck, where his mark throbbed at the mentioning of a date.
“If it sounds like one then it is one?” Armin tried before smiling at her words.
“Well I do have a few favorites.” They were all his favorites, anything Armin had thought would look good on Annie had become his favorite. But there was this one outfit, one that could even match the box in his pocket if Armin was brave enough to show her.
Armin stood and went through the bags, taking out a shoe box, then a light blue dress, then a jacket, and finally a light blue matching lingerie set. Armin glanced at the fabrics in his hand, that was still mostly hidden since Armin had piled it up on after another. “Let me just leave it on the bed.” Armin walked the few steps and then set the clothes out on the bed. Her shoe box set on the floor. The color of the baby blue clothes going well with the room and bedsheets, the lingerie set making it all the more sensuous. It seemed, Armin really liked Annie in blue.
Armin left the room, feeling a wave of lust going through him and tried to control himself. “I laid it up for you. If you don’t like it, feel free to change into something you do.”

Maybe Annie was being a little to harsh on herself. She was trying, she really was. But Armin didn't seem to get upset at her, instead, his eyes shined brighter at her words and he even smiled. She studied his face, eyes falling down at his perfect lips, lips that she now knew how they tasted and how they felt- sweeter then his own words. Her heart felt heavy, she knew she didn't deserve him and she could only watch him, flustered, as he went through the bags proudly, knowing exactly what he was looking for.
It was his confidence in his feelings and in what he wanted from her that made her feel tired. Annie had grown violent towards him, in a way, each time her composure threaten to fall apart. She hated it, honestly, but felt more relaxed after taking it out on the tree. She had let out all her rage to what had happened to him, all her rage at her nagging uselessness. She just needed to show him somehow, that she was going to try. Without finding to words to tell him.
She quickly got up and headed towards the room, looking at the soft fabric that he had laid out for her and at the box on the floor in curiosity. She waited for him to leave and closed the door. She could still see him clearly through the glass and when he turned to stare, because she knew he would, she shook her head and mouthed a silent, "You wish" before closing the privacy curtain that was on her side of the door.
Now that she was alone, she realized that she had started feeling overwhelmed even though nothing big was happening and he wasn't pushing her into anything with his fancy words. She stood there, calming herself before her own curiosity took the better of her and she walked towards the clothes, passing a hand over the silky soft texture before picking up the first item. A dress and she found herself frowning.
She didn't do dresses.
Mainly because it just wasn't what a soldier would wear and she wasn't the type of female to get dressed in something so exposing, and it was so short she almost wanted to open the door and throw it at Armin. But she had to remind herself that she wasn't a soldier, she was more than that.
He's never seen her in a dress and Annie wanted to hit him for being so perverted. Still, the feeling wasn't as strong as it was when she noticed the underwear he had selected and she almost shrieked at the sight.
She picked up the small delicate thing, glancing at the size and wondering how he even knew her bra size. It was see through and had no padding and for a second, she wondered how his hands would feel while she wore the fabric. Knowing that he'd still be able to feel her breasts under it perfectly. She felt hot, all of a sudden and wouldn't be surprised if her whole body didn't turn bright red at the sight of the panties. Thongs, the male had gotten her a pair of matching see through flower decorated strappy thongs.
She was going to have to kill him, for sure.
Automatically, Annie knew she couldn't wear the outfit. The dress went to midthigh, the thin spaghetti strap was too revealing, the dip in the front going too deep and the ruffles that curved down only exposed more skin in the front. She placed it to the side and picked up a jacket she hadn't noticed before. It felt heavy on her hands and she felt herself smiling. The jacket was baby blue, matching the rest of the outfit. The soft turn down collar was appealing to her, so was the strappy belts and the silver decorating zippers.
She placed it down and grabbed the box, expecting something as ridiculous as heels and being pleasantly surprised at the boots. A pair of semi-heavy combat boots that where the same shade as her dress, they had a decorating pouch on the side and Annie quickly took one out of the box and bounced it in her hands, grinning as she tapped the front with her fist. She was still going to kill him and she was going to use these gorgeous shoes to do so.
She placed them down and unwrapped the towel from around herself, putting on the bra and hesitating to put on the thong. They where a bit harder to put on and she knew they'd be annoying to wear, but once she got them into place, she spread her ass, letting the fabric fall between her cheeks and realized that it actually wasn't so bad. She was blushing now as she worked on the two straps at the side of her hips. The material made her nipples hard and she rubbed at her chest before sliding on the dress with ease.
She looked at herself in the nearest mirror and blushed. It took her a couple of seconds to realize that she felt embarrassed and exposed, nut she didn't hate it. In fact, she felt excitement building inside of herself. Unpredictable as she found the word to describe how she felt... Cute maybe? hot? No... After a long pause, she realized she felt... Attractive, sexy even. The curve of her breasts nicely filling the fabric in the front and the dress flared out against her wide hips, showing curves that she didn't even realize she had until then. She slid on a pair of socks and tried on the boots, liking how they felt heavy on her feet.
The jacket fit perfectly over her arms and shoulders and she found some safety in the cover it gave her. Her eyes widened and she realized that Armin had compromised with her, without possibly knowing. She wasn't one to wear delicate shoes or show off skin and he gave her something she felt confident in and something to cover herself with when she felt too exposed.
Annie Leonhart did not deserve someone like Armin Arlert.
She felt confident now in ways she hadn't ever before and she realized that she was still lacking. So she quickly attempted to make herself look better and with a sigh of discomfort, at the fact that she didn't have anything to add when it came to make up or even making her hair as fancy as her clothing, she glanced at herself and tried to make herself a bit more... put together.
She took off the bandages on her legs, the wounds healing up and the bruises barely visible but didn't take off the ones on her arms, not wanting to destroy the effort that Armin had put into it. Then, she combed through her hair, deciding to leave it down and cover her mark. But at the last second, she put it up in a bun, letting her fringe fall on her face like always but thinning it out by pulling more hair towards her bun and making the rest of her blonde hair fall forward in well placed lose strands. She worked on her hair more than she would ever normally even if the style was something she was used to wearing. Then she pulled out a lip gloss that she had never used because of the tint of pink and carefully applied it to her lips.
She had taken far too long to get ready and when she was done, she stood in front of the glass door trying to calm her nerves before silently sliding it open and stepping into the living room. She felt shy and her ears felt hot with an uncontrollable blush and she found herself looking at anything but him until she gained the nerve to look at him. "R-R-Ready?"
Once again, she wanted to slap herself. This time for stuttering.
"When did you turn into such a pervert?"

Armin chuckled at Annie’s dismissal of him and her little you wish remark. Armin did wish. He could have pushed the matter but Armin didn’t want to push Annie. He wanted Annie to get comfortable with him and with herself as well. So Armin could give her all the space she needed. It wasn’t like he had nothing to do.
No. Armin had been avoiding thinking about the biggest threat to them at that moment. Not wanting to acknowledge that Armin himself was the biggest time bomb. Armin sighed, thinking of the Gorilla Titan in him, even now he could feel the beast raging within. It was a nasty thing, wanting screams, sex, and death. Armin managed to keep it cage in, locked deep and under his Wolf’s sharp claws but it wouldn’t be enough.
Armin had lots to do and it all centered on his ability to get that titan under control. Armin hadn’t thought it would have been a problem, having no issues with his Wolf Titan but Armin figured that since it belonged to his father, it changed a few things. Or maybe it had to with the animal Titans themselves. Armin didn’t know much, most of this was still new to him. But he would find out. In hindsight of this, Armin knew it wasn’t smart of him to be here with Annie. That he was putting her in danger. Armin already hurt her once because of the Gorilla Titan he didn’t want to do it again.
Armin gritted his teeth, grabbing a few bags off the table and going into the second bathroom. He took a quick rinse using his new products, wanting to get the day off of him and smell fresh for Annie. Armin dried himself and wrapped the towel around his waist, brushing his teeth and trimming the edges of his beard. Armin got a fresh towel and rubbed at his face and hair until it was dry enough it wouldn’t drip down on his new shirt. He patted his chest and arms again for good measure before brushing out his hair, tying it at the back of his neck, out of his face. Armin wiped at his neck once more before dressing. He wore white draws, white slacks, a black belt, and a dress shirt in the same light blue color of Annie’s outfit. Armin stared at himself in the foggy mirror and picked at a few strands from hair, letting it hang short against his cheeks. Armin put his watch back on, put the little black box back into his pocket and went into the living room for some new socks and his boots.
Armin was sitting on the couch putting them on when Annie’s stuttering voice made him snap his gaze up, drinking her in. Armin felt his mouth go instantly dry, his shoelaces slipping from his fingers. “Wow.” Armin’s instant thought escaped his lips. She looked amazing and Armin’s eyes wildly keep picking up on all the small little details she had done. Suddenly wanting to kiss those pink lips until they turned a bright red. Armin felt his cock stir, aroused because she looked so good and because Armin had picked the outfit out for her. Aroused at the thought of peeling it off and seeing if she wore the scandalous lingerie as well.
Armin forced his lips to move. “You look beautiful Annie.” Armin hurried up with his laces, wanting to be next to her already. He grabbed his wallet and keys from the table and stuffed them into his pockets, walking closer to her. She was so pretty Armin felt himself getting nervous. Reaching Annie, Armin stared at her eyes, which seemed so much bluer with her outfit.
“I love you in blue. Does that make me a pervert?” Armin smiled down at her, his eyes igniting with sparks of colors, knowing from her reaction that Annie was indeed wearing everything Armin had set out for her. Armin purred softly in his throat, staring at her face and body with desire. Armin tried to reel it in, wanting her to enjoy her night out in her pretty outfit. Even if Armin had a mind to toss her over his shoulder and haul her ass back to bed.
Armin held his arm out for her, “Shall we?” He asked and then bending low to her ear, added. “You smell as delicious as you look Leonhart.”

Armin looked stunning, she realized. With a shirt that matched her outfit and those white well fitting slacks, the boy definitely knew how to dress up for the occasion and Annie felt a bit jealous. She had a lot of reserves about what she was wearing. Not only did it expose skin that she normally kept hidden, but it showed how petite and delicate she actually looked under all her usual layers and her usual bagginess. She realized that she did purposefully dress to hide herself and how small she really was. Being only five foot, she remembered briefly how they used to be around the same height and suddenly Armin grew over seven inches and turned into a toned, yet slim, hunk of a man.
In Annie's line of work, what she struggled most with was her petiteness. Often coming across as defenseless or weak and viewed as a lesser opponent. It had driven her to work harder and she often just glared as an intimidation tactic but her size, amongst other things, was her insecurity. Yet here she was, wearing something that wasn't oversized and that did show off her body and in this Paradis, with Armin's hungry eyes, she supposed that it was okay even if she felt a little overwhelmed.
It was okay because it was Armin.
After putting him through so much pain, she realized she was willing to deviate from the way she normally was if it meant pleasing him. And sure, it was concerning, because it was all too fast and she could definitely unintentionally hurt herself with that mindset. But he had turned into her weakness, sometime during the previous night, and Annie knew he was her undoing. She wondered if her new resolve had anything to do with the bite mark that rested along the soft tissue between his neck and shoulder.
But God was Armin breathtaking. As he moved towards her with such confidence and as he looked at her with those ocean coloured eyes. The shape of his eyes, wide and alert, the fullness to his lips, the sharpness to his jaw and his cute ass nose- it all had Annie hooked. And she could have kissed him, she probably would have, if he didn't open his mouth to comment on her wearing blue. Instantly, she blushed, mouth slightly parting because of course he would dish out such a comment so casually. Her mind drifted to the nights event and how he had reacted to seeing her in blue and she felt a knot of lust in the bottom of her stomach.
"The audacity." She found herself saying simply with a frown that didn't reach her eyes and when he bent down and whispered that she smelled as good as she looked she shivered visibly and her skin got covered in goose bumps, her core throbbing once again in lust and she knew she smelt different with her new body wash but wondered if he had picked up on the smell of her lust for him because Armin Arlert's words where hardly ever innocent, and that little purr almost drove her crazy and it had her wanting to do things to him that she wouldn't be thinking about if it wasn't for the previous night.
Tilting her head she glared at him then, knowing that it was not intimidating with how harsh her blush should have been on her face. After a couple of seconds, she smiled, looking down at his neck. "You, uh, got a little something..." She pointed at her neck before reaching out to where his own mark was and flicking it a little harshly, knowing the skin there would be sensitive. It was the first time she'd pointed out what she had done to him out of impulse since he was so unbashful about pointing out other events that had transpired throughout the night.
Ignoring his arm, she stalked towards the door and exited the room, muttering to herself how Armin knew he was good looking and it was getting to his head, she knew he could hear her and she made a 'tsk' sound as she left the door open for his own exit. She waited by the railing of the deck, dress swaying in the sun and the previous yellow tones of the sky where slowly turning pink with the promise of a sunset and she knew they couldn't miss the view.
Once she saw him leave, she turned away from the ocean and towards him, extending her hand out. "Come on, handsome, you promised me a date and some food and it isn't polite to make a lady wait so much." The words where bashful but blunt and she figured if he wanted to be so unbashful, she'd dish out the same hand to see how he would react instead. She couldn't let him always win at making her flustered and embarrassed.

Armin smiled down at her playful frowns, ever since the first time Annie had blushed for him, Armin had wanted to make her do it again and again. Each time he saw the pink color against her cheeks and tips of her ears, Armin found himself purring with satisfaction knowing that Annie felt the same attraction for him as Armin did for her.
“Of?” He asked, knowing full well what Annie had meant. At her teasing, Armin touched at his neck wondering if he had wet his shirt but came back with nothing. Armin raised his eyebrow at her and then Annie flicked at his throbbing mark. When her fingers touched it, it sizzled with heat and Armin growled lowly in response.
“I know right.” He grabbed his phone, following her departure. “Some hungry animal kinda feasted on me last night.” Armin paused just inside of the door, watching Annie by the railing, the sun catching in her hair making it look golden and pinkish. Armin felt his fingers moving on auto, snapping a few pics before closing the door behind him.
“Jokes on her because I loved every second of it.” Armin continued his last comment, a bit late because he had been stunned into silence at the sight of her, dress twirling by her thighs, the ocean at her back, and waiting for him with her hand outstretched.
Armin took that precious hand, seeing her colored nails shimmering with the sunlight and closed his fingers around hers. “I’ll try my best.” Armin was smiling, he had heard Annie’s soft mumblings earlier and knowing that she thought him handsome and attractive had already made his night.
Armin guided her down the walkway, taking his time to enjoy Annie on his arm and looking at the waves as they passed. He passed the lobby, bringing her deeper into it, curving towards the side out back where the parking waited. Armin clicked on his keys with his free hand, unlocking the door and going towards the passenger side first. Armin held the door open for Annie, not wanting to let go of her hand and helping her inside. Armin let her fingers slip from his, gave Annie a look as she was all legs and pretty in blue in the leather seats. Armin groaned, closed the door and hurried to the drivers seat.
It took only about ten minutes to get to La Villa Mahana, which looked like a cozy Italian yellow house that had a beautiful view of the ocean. Music could be heard from somewhere close by and Armin parked. “Don’t move.” He warned Annie and hurried out of the car to get her door.

"Did you just really call me an animal?" She asked, rolling her eyes but dropping the subject. It was too late to pretend like she didn't remember the previous night, too late to act hard headed because even though this was all new to her, she was enjoying every second of it. It didn't mean there wouldn't be hiccups along the way, she knew herself too well when it came to her stubbornness but the fact that Armin had made it to the flight, had accepted her so easily, it gave her hope that he was right. That there was something worth working for.
She hesitated when it came to walking into the lobby while holding his hand, the place had a few people inside and Annie didn't know if she was ready to publicly display affection. She grabbed his arm lightly with her free hand and opened her mouth to say something. But looking at him, he seemed so content that her complained faltered before she could manage to say something and silently she followed along with him, making a noise in the back of her throat in discomfort.
As they walked into the lobby, Annie could see the envious looks of females as they studied Armin with lust and she felt like she wasn't enough for him, it was so obvious that it made her stomach turn and a bitter taste fill her mouth. Still, Armin seemed so unaffected by it all she couldn't help but find confidence in that. yes, he was hot as fuck and he was hers and that was all that mattered and those thoughts actually managed to calm her inner turmoil.
When they got to his picked out location, Annie stared at him in confusion when he told her to not move and then laughed when she noticed he was hurrying to open the door for her before she would do it for herself. "You're definitely being a little silly now, Arlert." She said with a laugh as she carefully got out of the car, fixing her dress in the process and pushing some hair behind her ears. "It smells wonderful." She commented, grabbing his hand and rushing into the small restaurant.
Once inside, she slowly let go of his hand as they asked for a table for two and a seat by the window so they could see the sunset. the place was as cozy on the inside as it looked on the outside, with Italian decorations, and low dim lighting. Each table had a candle in the middle and the waitress lit it as they sat down across from each other. It was then that the intimacy of the location started getting to her as well as the fact that this was a date, their first date, and she was so terrified of screwing it up.
Annie excused herself from the table, asking Armin to order her a number twelve on the menu, a dish with seafood and pasta. She hurried over to the bathroom and before she could make her escape, she was stopped by a waitress. "Where did you find that!?" the middle aged women said, eyes glued to her table and with a roll of Annie's eyes, she already knew she was talking about Armin.
"In a ditch." Annie commented dryly, earning herself a look and she quickly corrected herself. "I guess he found me." she offered a bit more lightly.
"Well if I ever found myself a man like that, we'd never leave the bedroom."
Annie wondered if it was just the way of the people on this island to be so crude and bold. Instead, to avoid the direction this conversation was going in, she found herself blurting out, "It's his birthday."
"Want a birthday surprise?" The lady asked more seriously now.
"Uh sure...?"
"Chocolate or vanilla?"
"White chocolate?" Annie realized that's the only sweet she remembers him eating.
"consider it done." the lady walked away then, leaving Annie feeling a bit confused at their exchange and since so much time passed, Annie simply made it back to her seat before looking out the window.
"Look!" she exclaimed pointing out towards the glass, "The sun is going to set soon!"

Whereas Annie noticed the women eyeing him up, Armin noticed the men’s hungry stares, as their eyes took in Annie’s long legs, exposed cleavage, and pretty face with lips so glossy that it forced men to conjure up their wildest fantasies. Armin glared at them, letting a little of his Titans out in his eyes, feeling the rage and darkness of the Gorilla and the quiet Alpha Predator of his Wolf. Armin made a low angry growling noise, not liking his mate’s soft whines of discomfort. Suddenly the eyes that were watching them were forced away submissively, somewhere in their little human minds recognizing a Predator and not wanting to be their Prey.
Armin opened the door for Annie once they arrived, his lips stretched into a lazy smile. “You told me to be a gentleman, plus I like holding doors open for you. Gives me an excuse to watch your legs in action.” Armin drawled, watching the blue dress slide upwards, exposing more warm flesh for Armin’s eyes to drink in, before she smoothed it down. Armin playfully pouted but didn’t mind, not wanting so many men to see Annie’s upper thighs. Those were for Armin, Annie was all for Armin.
He let her pull him along, locking the door behind him with a click of a button and agreeing with Annie that it did smell good. Armin smiled at the host, liking the low romantic setting of the restaurant, thankful that it lived up to what Armin had assumed it would be. He would hate if he brought Annie to a rundown place, not because they wouldn’t have fun-Armin believed that wherever they went, they’d find a way to enjoy themselves-but because this was the first of many dates to come. First times should be special. Armin thought of last night and touched his fingers to his neck, his mark, and smiled. Last night was special.
Armin nodded at Annie, watching her disappear around the bend and turning to gaze at the view. They had a outside walkway where a few chairs and tables waited but no one was about. There was a small clearing right in front of them, where Armin supposed some danced. Armin knew a few steps, not anything fancy like a tango although he was sure he could still pull it off. But swaying? A waltz? Armin knew how and saw shadows of Annie and himself swaying next to the ocean.
A waitress interrupted his thoughts and Armin ordered, getting some wine and waters, Annie’s pasta, and the only steak dish they had. Armin was in the mood for red bloody meat and tried not to think as to the why of that. Even as the ape roared through his mind. It seemed to get louder when Annie wasn’t around, sensing Armin’s attention waning back to himself and using those moments alone to pound at his chest and demand attention.
Armin sighed, taking a long swallow of the wine as it arrived. It was red even though Armin preferred whites when it came to his wine but felt like the taste would placate the Titan. Then Armin noticed a swirl of baby blue and watched the same shade of boots coming his way. Armin felt his shoulders relaxing, having gotten himself all tensed up in her absence. “Those boots look great on you.” Armin told her, catching her lit up eyes, and smiling at her happy tone. The loud thumps slowly fading away in his mind.
Armin turned to see the sunset, it was beautiful all colors of red pink yellow and orange, the water sparkling under its rays. Armin shifted his gaze a little, seeing Annie’s face reflected on the glass, looking as if she was part of the lovely sunset. “Beautiful.” Armin agreed, his eyes eating up her rosy reflection before turning back to stare at the beauty’s eyes.
Armin felt his hands brush past his upper thigh, feeling the box through his pocket. He didn’t know when would be a good time to show it to her. If at ever. But figured a bit later when the mood was better and the food was taken away.
“Have I told you how lovely you look today?” Armin knew he had, knew that his eyes were watching her with such lust and admiration but Armin couldn’t stop himself. She looked so pretty and it was more than just the clothes. It was Annie herself, the way her eyes lit up as she stared at the scenery or something she liked. How she kept touching Armin, the harsh ones, the soft ones, or like in the lobby when she grabbed on to him for support making Armin feel even more protective of her. Armin loved the glow of her blush and how the pretty pink melted sweetly into all his favorite places. He loved Annie’s strong willed spirit, watching her spread her wings a little testing them out. Armin knew before long Annie would be soaring high in the blue skies, healed from her past, and most probably not needing him anymore. But maybe Annie would want him to stay either way and that’s all Armin wished for.
“I-“ Armin was about to tell her he got her something when the food arrived and Armin left the small box alone. For now.

Annie looked away from the setting sun when he spoke, letting out a small 'hm?' but finding her words dried up. The way he spoke, calling her lovely, made her heart beat faster. It was unlike his other compliments, it was simple, and she knew he meant it. She knew he meant all of it, but this one hit her a bit different. With the way his lips curled at the edge and his lashes looked so long on top of his ocean deep blue eyes and the reflection of the candle against his skin now that the sky was darkening, everything was so absolutely mind blowing that she wondered if it was even real. If he was even real.
She felt hot but before she could fathom a reply the food came and her mind was distracted by the smell of her pasta. Glancing over in curiosity, she looked at the blood that had already seeped out of the stake and felt a slight bit uneasy. She thanked the waitress, then because she had gotten so worked up looking at him, she slipped off her jacket and placed it behind her chair. Turning back to Armin, she watched him silently until she was shifting in her seat. Her stomach full of lust, not because of the memories she had of the night before. but because of the way he looked at her, spoke to her, and showed her his resolve when it came to his want of her.
she wondered if he could smell it or see it written across her face, because at that point Annie might as well be drooling for him. She hoped he couldn't smell it, but with the way he was studying her, she knew he would be able to sense even the tiniest of flinches. Then she tilted her head and smiled at him because she was happy they where here. but most importantly, she was happy that the man in front of her was none other than Armin Arlert himself because Annie could love anyone, she realized. People formed bonds all the time but when it came to Armin, it was more than that and she felt herself falling in love with him slowly and sometimes roughly.
Because Annie Leonhart was falling madly in love with Armin even if she tried to fight it.
"The food looks good." She said breathlessly, realizing that she had allowed too much time to pass between them without saying anything. "Although you don't strike me as a bloody steak kind of guy." She was searching, silently questioning if he was okay. She remembered when her own Titan took place inside of her and how it had fought her to be dominant almost every second of the day. How she wasn't herself because her Titan wasn't her own to have and the sudden company on a previously one soul occupied body was overwhelming.
She wondered if he was hiding something from her, but didn't blame him one bit if he was.
She took a long sip of the wine, studying it before she finally turned to eat. the food was absolutely delicious and she found herself eating away in silent hunger. When her initial wave of hunger died down midway through her dish, she took another sip of wine and turned to look up at him. "I just realized that I know nothing about you." She did know things. Where he had grown up, his childhood dream, his sense of loyalty to the pack. things that defined him somewhat but nothing about things that he didn't typically show others or things that a person might learn while getting to know someone.
she had spent time with him, yes. But she was closed off and even though Armin was familiar to him, he was still somewhat of a stranger to her.

Armin stared at his plate, the big slab of meat already pooling in its bloody sauce. He had a side of Alfredo’s as well and watched as the blood slowly touched the edge of the pasta. His stomach grumbled and Armin sliced through it, tearing a piece of the red meat and taking a bite. It was good, needed a little salt, and when Armin swallowed, he felt the Gorilla Titan make a triumph bellow from within. Armin put his fork and knife down, not liking that bellow. It felt like Armin was giving the Titan too much when he still couldn’t be trusted.
Armin sighed, distracted by his beasts, and let his eyes rest on Annie. She was his light and just looking at her made everything better. Armin watched as she pulled off the leather jacket, exposing her arms and the occasional purple bandage. The soft lighting played on Annie’s features, softening her cheeks and nose, the candle light catching in her eyes, heightening the blue and the desire simmering within. Annie’s scent seemed to grab at Armin, reminding him of her feisty nature and the fact that she was wanting him.
Their bond laid open and heavy, letting stray thoughts and emotions filter to Armin, giving him a idea of how Annie was feeling. She was a bit worried over his plate and Armin glanced back down at the bloody meat, faintly hearing the thumps and growls for more. “I like steak.” Armin told the truth, he liked it as much as both his Titans did. But there was something different, dangerous even with how the Gorilla Titan demanded the meat. Still, Armin didn’t want Annie to worry about it right now. Not wanting to ruin their date by talking about the Titan that almost killed her.
“How’s your pasta?” Armin redirected the attention to Annie, taking a bite of his Alfredo’s, the side where the blood wasn’t touching. He patted his lips with a napkin and drank some water, his eyes straying towards the steak when it should have strayed towards Annie. After that Armin decided to just eat the damn thing, satisfy his cravings like his Titan wanted, and would be left alone to focus on his lovely date. Armin controlled the way he ate, taking some steak, then some pasta, washing it down with either the water or wine, pasta again before another couple bites of the steak. It was exhausting for Armin to eat slowly and calmly, but necessary all the same, to show patience to his new Titan and to remind the beast, that Armin was the one in control. Armin dicated what he could and couldn’t have. Armin made the rules and they, his Titan monsters had to obey.
Armin paused at Annie’s comment, more than halfway finished. He felt full and satisfied that there was still a good piece of steak left and the Titan had calmed itself some. “I guess that’s fair. We’ve haven’t had the time for it yet.” Armin pushed the plate a bit away, finished with it for now. He took his wine glass, watched the dark red liquid swirl around the delicate curve and brought it to his lips, tasting the dark yet sweet drink.
Armin licked his lips, placed the glass back down and leaned back on the chair. Stretching his legs underneath the table and feeling Annie’s boot. He pressed his leg against hers, wanting to feel some of her warmth. “We have the time now, is there anything you want to know?”
“I’m not that great about talking about myself.” Armin admitted a second after, rubbing his hands with the napkin as a nervous tic as a voice somewhere in the back of his mind darkly laughed as it watched as Armin made a fool of himself. Bringing up images of Armin making a mess while he ate, staining his clothes with the dripping blood.
Armin touched Annie’s mark, feeling a wave of peace rolling through him from the touch, silencing his inner negative voice. Armin sighed, pressing his leg firmer into hers.
“But I’ll try for you.”

There was something wrong with Armin at the moment, Annie realized. He was thinking too much, being a bit too self conscious of how he moves and eats. Annie supposed that if she wasn't so hungry, she would have been more careful with how she ate too. But it was something else, something that she felt had to do with his new Titan. Still, even as those thoughts drifted through her head in Armin's own musing tone and not hers, she found herself just being happy that he was still being himself in some way and showing restraint. It was funny, though, because she was finally feeling casually okay and he was the one stumbling slightly as he ate or as he moved.
As Annie watched him, she took another long slow drag of the wine, treating it as any other drink while Armin admired the wine in his own cup. She couldn't understand the art behind the liquid and took a couple of more bites of her pasta before she felt full. She accepted the fact that he liked steak, but not the fact that that was the only reason why it was on his plate.
Annie stiffened when his leg touched hers under the table, it was visible to anyone and her eyes darted around the room but she quickly relaxed when she noticed that no one could see the small action because of the table cloth and dim lighting. Hesitantly, she turned back to Armin to say something only to find him leaning forward, fingers pressed against the mark on her neck. Instantly, her whole body got covered in goosebumps, the tingles racing up and down and settling deeply inside of her.
She was going to make a remark, but realized that he needed that. She didn't know how she knew, but she did. "It's okay, Arlert. I'm not the best at it either." She reassured, rubbing her legs against his for further reassurment. His mood alarming her slightly. "But it's okay if you're not ready." She said with a shrug. "Just know that when you are, I'll be ready to listen."
She sighed and stabbed a piece of shrimp, eating it contently before finishing her second glass of wine. Then, she slid her plate to the side, finished with it. "I got my legs waxed today." She said casually, trying to redirect the mood. "And my nails painted. Apparently you just don't go to a nail salon to get your cuticles worked on, it's very frowned upon and when they offer to give you a Brazilian wax, just say no. They'll lay you on this bed and make you spread everything open for the Gods to see and they're so shameless." She shook her head with a chuckle, remembering the horror she had to go through. "Arlert, these people are just so shameless."
She crossed her arms in front of herself as she watched him, head tilted to the side. "See? Try like that. You don't have to talk about yourself directly to let me know who you are. I just think it's a little funny that we've gotten this far and don't know the simple things. I promised I'd try too, last night, not with words but..." she flushed a little bit, hands gripping her arm a bit rough in discomfort. ".. Through other ways and I just wanted to tell you that I meant that and it wasn't the alcohol." She rolled her eyes and tried making a joke out of her words, "Besides fighting you is literally the most exhausting thing in the world and I've accepted the fact that you aren't scared of me killing you because none of my imitation tactics work."

The spark of tingles at Armin’s light touch against her neck and Annie’s allowance of it, her words, her leg rubbing against his, her scent, and the concern hiding in her bright eyes all calmed Armin. He let his fingers dance down the curve of her shoulder and arm, feeling smooth skin under his touch until Armin got to her fingers. He squeezed her hand, and tried sending a simple ‘thank you’ through the mate bond. Testing it a bit.
Armin pulled back, already missing Annie’s warmth but feeling calmer now, her words making Armin chuckle deeply and genuinely. “You’ve definitely had quite a day.” Was it bad that Armin didn’t like the mental image of Annie with her legs spread open for anyone other than him? Even if it was females? Armin didn’t care but if Annie wanted to do something, he supposed he’d have to learn to deal with his territorial issues.
“I mean I don’t have stories like that. No Brazilian waxes for me dear, though someone did fuck up my hair once. I ended up shaving it all,” he chuckled at the memory of his bald head. Which surprisingly looked way better than the mess of short bangs and short cut around his ears. Most people didn’t know how to do the cut that Armin had for most his teenage years.
He paused as the waitress asked if they were done. Armin said yes, then asked them to pack it into boxes just in case they got hungry later. Armin waited for the plates to clear, leaving just the wine and water glasses. Armin sighed happily as the bloodied plate left his field of vision, feeling the last wild grunts of his Titan before all was quiet in Armin’s head.
“Last night huh?” Armin smiled wide at her, happy she wasn’t playing the ignorant/clueless tune that she had been this morning. Armin stretched out his hands again, leaving them open and close to hers so if Annie wanted to? She could grab them and hold Armin as he hoped she would.
“I meant it too. Every word.” His teasing tone turned sincere, remembering their exclamations of love. Hearing Annie confirm it, not laying the blame on the alcohol, well it made Armin pull his left hand back down to his lap, grabbing the box and with it still in his hand, Armin placed his hand back on the table.
“Annie I-“ he began but was cut off again as a horde of voices and clapping interrupted the quiet romantic mood of the restaurant. Armin clenched his hand over the box, pulling back his hands as the horde of workers crowded their table. After a moment Armin realized that they were singing happy birthday and staring at him.
“What?” Armin mouth to Annie as the lady with the cake made her way to the front of the group, all smiles and singing at the top of her lungs, as she placed the little round cake in front of him. Armin blinked down at it, a single candle in the middle of the blue frosting.
When had it been the last time Armin had a birthday cake? He had some vague memories of it as a kid but most of his childhood had been focused on being his father’s test subject. Armin cleared his throat, not knowing what to say, the black box still clamped in his hand feeling like it was burning a hole in his flesh.
“Thank you?” He told the workers, flashing them a wide smile and watching their expectant faces for a bit before dragging his gaze back to Annie. He glared a little at her, playfully, and said. “I guess I should make a wish now.” Armin told the group, hearing yes’ from the workers and seeing Annie’s eyes brightening.
Armin stared into those eyes and blew out the candle, hoping his wish would come true.
