( Ventia The title isn't a typo, I'm just a slut for Aot references in our RPs) Annie was running late, an unfortunate incident caused by built up traffic around the airport. By the time she could make out the main entrance, she found herself losing patience with her cab driver. With a frustrated groan, she handed him two bills and opened the door, pulling herself out of the cab and dragging her lavender suitcase out of the trunk. She ignored the calls and honks of complaining drivers as she recklessly maneuvered around the vehicles and ran towards the entrance. She couldn't really be angry at anyone but herself, having told herself that she would indeed not make it to their meet up point. That it was for the best if she and Armin Arlert stayed apart. Annie told herself that she was the cause of all his pain and she needed to atone for those sins as well. Her mind was made up by Sunday night. Especially since every time she attempted to get some sort of sleep, she would wake up screaming in fear, nightmares of him trying to kill her floating vividly into her subconscious. Annie Leonhart even made a point at unpacking the suitcase and clothing that she had bought for herself during her weekend in the shitty motel she was staying at. Toiletries going back into the bathroom, clothes folded in dusty drawers. She threw a bag full of loaded prepaid cards, cash, and illegal identification into the provided safe. She had unpacked absolutely everything as to commit to her resole. All of Monday, she sat in front of a television, mindlessly trying to distract herself with an unknown trivia show, her legs bouncing on its own accord as she bit at her fingernails in anxiety. She had done so much to swallow down and avoid the torment of shit in her mind, working on auto pilot as she cleaned at her wounds, brushed her teeth, and even combed her hair, avoiding the sloppy stitch work that she had done to close the wound in the back of her head. She wasn't going. She wasn't. She told herself time and time again that she couldn't face Arlert anymore, not after what happened. Not after he tried killing her then took the liberty to mark her as his. Not after what she had told him in the bus stop. Chances where, he wouldn't even show up. She was pretty damn sure he wouldn't, so what was the point? Thirty minutes until their meet up time at five, she found herself getting up. She had to go. If not for him than for her own self. She knew that she would never feel safe and no amount of distance that she put between herself and Marley and Armin would make her feel better. No, she needed to get off this damn land, go somewhere far away. Somewhere no one would ever think of trying to find her, no one except for Armin, since he knew which airport and which gate he would find her at. She blamed the damn pamphlet she had seen at the travel stop, blue waves and sunny skies decorating the front as it promised Paradise at gate number eight. She had thrown all her belongings into the suitcase, pocketing several cards and her identification, along side a prepaid smartphone that she had gotten not too long ago. She carefully placed a book down, protecting it with stolen motel towels and ran out of the place without looking back. Now, she stood in front of a lady, a big clock behind the women that told her she had only three minutes to make it to the gate before she would be left behind. She asked for the flight that would leave from gate number eight at five o'clock and was told that the flight was partially empty and she had lucked out. Nodding, she ran as instructed towards her gate, handing her ticket to the women that helped her board the plane. She had been the last one in, delaying the trip by a couple of minutes. Sighing, she picked up her luggage and automatically distracted herself from looking around. She struggled to get the damn thing overhead, having not noticed the trembling in her hands. Was Armin here? She avoided looking around as she cussed under her breath, still struggling with the damn thing. She didn't know if he was here and out of stubbornness, she wasn't going to dare look at the faces of the other passengers. She felt like she was being held by a thin thread and she couldn't afford the disappointment.

((I’m in loveeee with these titles))
The weekend had been absolute hell for Armin, after Annie had left him alone in that parking lot. Annie had been right, they were both a mess after what had happened in that cage. Maybe even before that. Armin hated himself and yet still clung on to that store receipt with all the hope the greedy bastard had. Armin had accepted it, that he was a greedy fucking bastard who no matter how much Armin fucked up, like by trying to kill the only girl he had liked in all his life, Armin still wanted more. He felt like he deserved it, god damn it, yes Armin fucked up. Made Annie bleed and probably a concussion. Armin even made her his mate.
His mate. What a feeling. What a rush. What a pain. The heart wrenching pain Armin felt the whole time Annie was gone. Away from sight and far away that even the bond barely felt like Annie. Just empty and dark, cold and burrowing a hole into Armin’s soul.
That Friday night, Armin holed himself in a cheap motel, stripping the clothes Annie had given to him and going under the shower. Hot water washed away the remaining blood off of him and Armin scrubbed at himself with a soap bar. He must have stayed underneath there for a while before the hot water stopped, automaticity turning off after a certain time. Armin kept going, the cold water a shock against his heated skin, as the scenes of his big day as Magath had put it, went on in his head. After he was done, Armin saw himself in the mirror, seeing fresh blood at certain areas along with bruising. Armin hadn’t even known he had been hurt, and using what Annie had given him, pitched himself up. Even as the dark voice sang in his head that he should let it fester with infection and die along with all his victims.
The next day, Armin confirm Annie’s note and went throughout that day getting what he would need. He couldn’t board a plane without identification. A couple calls later and some trips around the town and Armin was back at a different cheap motel, packing his suitcase with all the new essentials he had bought. Armin had went to his bank as well and got a temporary card as well as pulled out a few more hundreds in fifty’s though. That night he thought of Annie and tried feeling her through the bond, it was still to new to Armin and so delicate too. It wasn’t fully form, wouldn’t be so unless and until Annie accepted him as her mate. It was like a one way street, formed by his desire and reaching and connecting to her. Armin got bits back and took the brunt of the pain of her absence. That night Armin didn’t sleep much.
Sunday though? Armin was a greedy bastard, having convinced himself throughout the whole night, that he could be fine with that. As long as he had Annie.
So there he was, sitting in middle towards the back on a plane going to Bora Bora of all places. Armin had been one of the first to board the plane and hadn’t seen Annie up till that point. Not in the check in line, or around the waiting lounge, or hiding in any of the airports shops, nor in the line to board the plane. Armin had wanted to wait outside, until he saw her, but the flight attendants had convinced him to go in. Now Armin’s feet tapped on the floor, he had told many of the workers that Armin was waiting on someone. To keep the doors open as long as they could. But they told Armin that they couldn’t keep it open past schedule. That they could wait for just a few mere minutes before they had to close the door and take off on the runway.
Armin kept checking his watch like a madman, looking up at the narrow space towards the opening. It was 5:05 and he could tell by the look on the flight attendants face that they were going to close it. But then the look washed away and Annie came into view, looking as flustered as Armin felt. Armin felt his heart squeeze at the sight of her and instantly stood up, moving towards front of the plane, ignoring the questioning ‘Sir?’ voice.
“Here, let me help you.” Armin said softly, his hands covering the space next to hers, taking control over the weight of the suitcase and easing it softly into the lid. Armin had his hair pulled back and tied at his nape, wearing a simple white undershirt with a black button up collar that was open and loose around his body. He wore black shorts and white sneakers with black socks.
Armin gave Annie a small smile and then stepped back, his blue eyes bright with flecks of gold. “My seat is down there so I’ll just sit back down now. Before they kick us off.” He laughed under his breath, despite the bundle of nerves he was, Armin was happy and grateful that Annie had showed up. He made sure the compartment lid was close and then walked back to his seat. Armin had a whole plane ride to talk to her, he could wait a few more minutes until they were in the air.

Annie had been so focused on not searching for him, of not expecting him to be in the plane, of convincing herself that she was doing this for herself, that she visibly jumped when he was the one to reach out for her. Hearing his voice felt surreal and she found herself letting go of the suitcase, happy that his big hands held it up and worked on putting it away for her because otherwise, it probably would have fallen straight down on her face, further embarrassing her.
She nodded rapidly, clearly flustered at his closeness, and chose to sit down at the closest random seat, buckling in her seatbelt and staying silent as the airplane started to move and lift from the ground. With a shaky sigh, she closed her eyes and avoided looking around until the damn thing stabilized in the air and they were granted permission to move about, listening attentively as the flight attendants worked on giving a fancy speech, welcoming them to the flight and telling them about emergency exits, one which was by Annie's seat and she didn't really like that.
It took her half the flight to muster up the courage to get up and move closer to Armin's seat, she took a seat in his isle, leaving an empty space between the two of them. Her anxiety only grew the closer she got to him and as soon as she sat, her leg started bouncing and she started picking at her cuticles subconsciously, having already bit through most of her nails. She wanted to seem cool, like she was collected and being here was something that she had planned, but she couldn't because the last thing Annie expected this morning was to mindlessly run between moving cars to show up.
She wondered if he could feel her suffocating anxiety as bad as she did. She didn't really understand the mate bond thing, just that it was a territorial signal of marking the one that you love. But Armin and her had never had a conversation that was anywhere remotely close to anything that would have to do with relationships, love, and a mating mark. Hell, they didn't even have a conversation on their friendship. She reached for the neck of her hoodie, pulling it closer to her neck and hiding the mark, Annie swore that the people on the plane could tell that she was marked and that thought was making her face flush red, shyness and embarrassment radiating out of her.
An announcement came, that they had ten minutes left before the airplane landed on some island territory outside of Bora Bora. She figured, if she was going to even say hello to him, she might as well do it now, right? With a heavy sign, she turned to look at him and quickly looked away, another blush tainting her skin as she laughed softly and shook her head. "I've never felt more emotionally unstable in my entire life." She told him honestly.

Armin had to force himself not to go to where Annie was. After days of not seeing her, of being near her, Annie’s nearness now was driving Armin crazy. Her scent was too far away and at the same time it had been too long since Armin had it, so he drank it in, gripping the sides of his seat and focusing on Annie’s scent as the plane took off. Armin didn’t like cars and it seemed like he didn’t like planes either. Annie’s scent and the bond flickering into life once more was the only thing keep Armin calm.
He couldn’t corner Annie which was why when the plane stabilized and they were told they could move around, Armin stayed glued to his seat. He wouldn’t corner her. Wouldn’t force her to sit with him. Wouldn’t talk to her until she was ready. Armin had given himself a set of rules on how he was going to do this and it was taking all of him to follow through. Armin had already broken one of those rules by going up to help her, but seeing Annie struggle with the damn thing, anxiety and fear coming off of her in waves, Armin didn’t care. He just wanted to help her in any way he could. Because he couldn’t stand seeing Annie struggling and not lifting a finger to help.
The minutes seemed to tick endlessly by and Armin started to feel that he’d never talk to Annie. Was she waiting for him to go over there? Armin tried to see her from his seat but couldn’t. She was small enough that the seats completely hid her. Armin let out a sigh that sounded a bit like a whine and busied himself with the food the plane had given everyone. It tasted bland and processed but at least it wouldn’t be poisoned. Armin looked at the apple wedges and thought back to the cell bed, sitting next to Annie who was flipping through the book’s pages, as Armin held a apple in his hand. Back then, just a couple days ago, felt like a lifetime.
Armin was lost in his thoughts and didn’t even see Annie coming towards him, only when she passed by him and sat on the seat one across from him did Armin notice. He held in his breath, instinctively wanting to say hi or anything, but remembering the rules, Armin bit back his words. He would talk to her. Would make everything right. But on Annie’s terms. When she was ready.
Plus being closer to her now settled Armin, he felt relaxed and could breathe easily now, she was close enough he could touch her. Which was enough for Armin. He didn’t think Annie would say anything and when she did, it sent a accusing shot through him. He was the reason why she was feeling emotionally unstable.
“I’m sorry,” Armin said softly, as he had in that parking lot, and turned his face to openly stare at her. She looked better than the last time he had seen her, emotionally unstable or not. For that? Armin was thankful. His eyes glanced at the back of her head and he bit his lip.
“How are you feeling besides from that? Physically?” Did she still hurt from his assaults? Armin wanted to reach for her hand, hold her and let Annie know that she was safe. But felt like if he touched her, she would shrink back from him and that would just make things worst. So Armin did nothing but stare.

How was Annie feeling? Well, like absolute shit.
Annie had a tightness to her back that kept her from being able to lay in bed comfortably at night. She glanced down at her palm, the wounds there had healed but her skin was still red and extremely sensitive, she imagined that's what her back looked like. She had to do some fucked up stitch job on the back of her head that she was pretty damn sure was the sloppiest stitch job known to man. Her new head injury was what concerned her the most, given that she had suffered from one previously.
The back of her head was a sweet spot that she felt panicked to protect. Having cracked her skull once before, the trauma kept her from being okay with it. She had fallen off a cliff as a child, cracked her head open. Annie had ended up with some brain hemorrhage that kept her in a coma for a while, and when she came too, moving her body was the hardest thing she had to relearn. She had forgotten a good portion of her childhood too, mainly all of it to be honest.
Now, she nursed a constant headache and when she wasn't being overwhelmed by the throbbing in her head, she was making stupid small mistakes that she knew came from the obvious concussion. On top of it all, when she wasn't being scared to death from her nightmares, she was remembering things... Or making them up? She wasn't sure. But she was remembering Armin as a child now, with her, in Marley.
Annie didn't know how the mate bond worked, maybe having everything fucked up was making her imagine a childhood that she most definitely probably didn't have. Because Armin would tell her, right? Her head was a constant nightmare, between the physical pain, the flashbacks of her almost death, the mate bite, Magath, the cell, her childhood. Annie felt completely overwhelmed with no way of knowing how to process things because she never had so much happening to her at once. She was distant, detached, and all these things where new to her. She didn't know how to cope like a regular person. She didn't even know how to feel like a regular person so she smashed everything down somewhere deep inside of herself and pretended that it wasn't happening.
"I'm sorry too." She said carefully after some time, her thoughts being interrupted with the sound of the speakers telling them to buckle up. She was absolutely sorry too. For having not protected him, for having been what influenced him to come into Marley too and no matter how she tried figuring it out, Annie had much more questions then she had answers too and it was extremely overwhelming, especially when her guilt was added to the mix.
Her heart sank as she airplane started to descend and her, her hands turning into fists on her lap and her knuckles going white. "Uh," She let out shakily. "I think I rather have the physical pains over anything else right now." She told him, it was a good distraction.

Armin could feel only a fraction of Annie’s thoughts coming from the mate bond, just that she was stressed and in pain. It ate at him, making him feel useless with nothing to do. Armin knew what he wanted to do, pull Annie towards him, maybe even haul her into the bathroom, and show her he could be the man she wanted. But for that, Armin couldn’t do that. Couldn’t drag her around and do with her how he pleased. That’s what he had done to get them into this mess. That’s what he had done to fuck it all up.
“There’s no reason for you to say sorry.” Armin told her, after the announcement, clicking himself in place and gripping on to his armrests. He really didn’t like the jumpy way the plane bounced off and on the runway until finally they landed, still moving through the long strip of land, until finally slowing down.
Armin also didn’t like Annie’s words but nodded, understanding. She was a brave little thing, his Annie, to be able to sit and talk with him despite everything. To be in this plane with him. “Looks like we arrived.” He said, as the attendants thank the passengers for flying with them today.
Armin unbuckled himself and stood when he was allowed to, waiting for Annie to go away before grabbing his suitcase from the opening on top. He made his way towards her, with just a few people between them. Until finally catching up once they were in the passage way towards the airport. Armin rolled his suitcase in silence for a minute, taking his time, waiting for the majority of the passengers to forge ahead.
“Are we staying at the same place?” Armin dared to ask, despite his plan of following her anyway and staying wherever she picked.
“Annie we should. We have to talk things out. Everything was going too fast and-“ Armin paused, as one of the attendants passed them.
“Let’s just get to somewhere and then we can talk, okay?”

Annie was quick to groan at Armin's words. Of course he thought she had nothing to be sorry about when she actually did, she was just as guilty as him- if not more. "Shut up, Arlert. My GOD you're as dense as a rock sometimes." She hadn't meant it too harshly, in fact, it was a very typical Annie reply but she was worried that with their current situation, he would take it to heart. Quickly, she got up and moved to grab her luggage, finding it easier to get it down and she didn't hold up the line because if she had she probably would have died of embarrassment.
Annie was frowning at herself by the time Armin made it back to her, when had she turned into such an insecure mush? She hated it. But the moment she saw Armin besides her, her face switched to a natural rather bored looking expression as she listened to the sounds of wheels moving around them. His words made her trip slightly, a blush burning across her face. She pointedly stared ahead, before pulling out their tickets, then instead of replying she rushed to their next gate. Luckily it was only a ten minute wait and the next plane was only a fifteen minute flight to the island of Bora Bora.
Annie sat down, ignoring Armin, and turned on her phone. Waiting for it to connect to the airports Wi-Fi before getting online and looking through the available hotels the island seemed to offer. "Honestly.. I haven't gotten this far." She said, looking up at his shoulder, then slowly his face. When she made eye contact, she quickly looked down at her phone. Sighing in defeat, she looked over the pictures of hotels, stopping at one that showed private huts over the water. She quickly clicked on it, reserved it for thirty days and pulled out a prepaid card from her pocket. She paid no mind to the price, having more than enough now and paid for the room.
"Fine." She said finally, putting her phone away and moving to their gate. It turned out that Armin and herself where the only two people boarding the airplane at the time and she got into the plane, leaving her luggage in the middle of the walkway for Armin to put away so she wouldn't embarrass herself further. Sitting by the window, Annie rolled her eyes, "This is just... New to me, understand? Like totally out of my comfort zone and it doesn't help that people keep assuming we are getting married." She wasn't trying to be grumpy but she could feel his questioning energy radiating through her veins. She wasn't used to that either.
She buckled herself up and sat silently glancing out the window. She was so over her head that she wondered how Armin couldn't just TELL.

Armin grumbled under his breath at Annie’s sharp tone, at first it bothering him, but then he smiled. Something about it calming his desperation and holding firm to the thought that they could get through this.
Armin glanced at Annie’s seemingly bored face, trying to get more out of their bond besides feeling her tension and stress. Armin’s hand itched to hold hers but for the same reason he hadn’t on the plane, he didn’t now. Armin glared as they walked, kicking himself mentally, calling himself a coward. Sure he gave himself rules but now? Next to Annie? Breathing in her scent, seeing her sparkling blue eyes, her next to him, her grumpy words, Armin wanted to throw the rules into the sea and do whatever he could to get Annie to come around.
He sat next to her, looking over her shoulder at the pictures of the resort and feeling his spirits soar when she said fine. A simple word, but it gave Armin confidence. He followed Annie closely, nodding and smiling at the workers, even while he grumbled to himself about having to take another plane. Armin put their luggage away and wanted to take the seat next to Annie but instead left one open between them. As she had done on the other plane.
Armin tilted his head away, hiding a smile at her last words. Thinking that marrying her wouldn’t be such a bad idea either. Matter of fact, Armin wanted to give Annie anything she wanted, a big wedding, a big house, sweet scented Russian olive trees and everything in between.
“This is a popular spot for newlyweds or soon-to-be ones.” Armin strapped himself in and stretched out, feeling better this time around since Annie was near him. And the fact it would only take fifteen minutes.
“Why? Is it that bad being mine?” Armin stared at her neck, hidden by the hoodie, but knowing his mark was there. He could feel it, could feel their delicate bond, and held on to it no matter the pain it came with. “Do you hate me for marking you?” Armin asked softly, leaning towards her, as the flight attendants closed the door.
He didn’t get to hear her response, as the workers focused on them and started their script. Armin sighed, turning his attention away from the front, his eyes going back to Annie’s. Without thinking, he stretched out his right hand, palm up, on the seat between them. As if waiting for her to grab his hand. As if.

Annie kept her eyes glued on the window, it was the only thing calming herself from the panic she felt at having Armin so close to her. "I guess there aren't many cases of people running away for their lives and just trying to find a safe haven." She stated simply, breath fogging up the window as the plane started moving. She watched in curiosity as the people, small as ants, moved around outside, guiding the plane along with a light stick. Blinking, she couldn't focus on the people anymore instead, she was staring at Armin's reflection in the glass.
His side profile was so delicate looking it made a lump appear in her throat. The curve of his nose, the set of his eyes and the fullness of his lips always made Annie squirm a little. He had the face of an Angel, the will of a God, and the strength of the Devil. He was slender, muscular with the body of a swimmer, and even though his voice was always filled with understanding, Annie now knew of the wrath he had hidden underneath it all.
She was so silly for thinking she could protect him all this time, so silly for being on this plane with him. He was, and will always be too much for her.
Annie stared at his reflection as he looked down at her neck and she found herself shifting uncomfortably but with a blush across her cheeks and down her neck. She felt her heart speed up when he called her his and her hand went to her chest, gripping the fabric of her hoodie. Typical Armin. Saying such things so casually, pushing her too roughly, it was all so typical. But if it wasn't for him... Annie would have never allowed herself to open up like this.
She always chose to stay put and Armin always guided her into places that she had never imagined herself being in. She glanced down at his moving hand, her heart still uncontrollably beating against her chest and she wondered if he would be able to hear it? She let out another foggy breath against the window, the announcement came to buckle up and she realized she hadn't even unbuckled herself or spoke throughout the entire flight, yet his hand remained outstretched waiting for hers.
"You don't have to do this, you know?" She said turning to look at his hand, he didn't have to feel like he owed her some sort of comfort because he didn't. "I know your wolf did it in an attempt to regain control and -" Her words where cut short by an attendant walking by and she quickly shut up and waited for the flight to land and settle at their gate.

“No I wouldn’t think so.” Armin gently teased her, watching her stare out into the window. The sun was highlighting the golden in her blonde hair, making Annie look ethereal in his eyes. “Not if they were normal.” Armin said under his breath, leaning his face against the back of the seat and taking her in greedily.
Annie had always been beautiful to Armin, it was a cold beauty at first-or later he should say, as he met Annie again for the second time unknowingly when she came to New Dawn. Armin took in her guarded bright eyes, her light hair, the tense way she held herself and her silent demeanor, and was hooked. He didn’t know why back then, why Armin felt so attracted to the new girl that he kept volunteering to be her spare partner. Kept getting beaten by her day in and day out, thanking her and then doing it all again the next day. Now Armin figured he subconsciously had recognized Annie from their time together as kids and needed to stay close, even if it had hurt. It didn’t matter as long as Annie was near.
Armin still felt that way now but he was greedier these days, and it wasn’t enough. Armin wanted more. Wanted her. He’d wanted Annie since he could remember and now after all these years, after everything that just went down, Armin felt like it was high time for him to get Annie on the same page.
Armin watched Annie look at his hand then back away again, until glancing back. He opened his mouth to respond but saw the attendants watching them. They were the only passengers on the plane so Armin couldn’t blame them, even if he wanted to bark at them and tell them to shoo so he could make Annie understand. He closed his hand and pulled back once they had safely landed again.
“I’m doing all of this because I want to.” Armin made sure to say clearer before unfastening his seatbelt and getting up, taking his time to get out the luggage and moving back, signaling for Annie to go on before him.
Armin stayed silent as they got off the plane, walking with her as people moved through the airport. Most of the voices were happy, welcoming them to the island and Armin gritted his teeth, in a attempt to to growl out his building frustrations. He just had to take Annie to that damn resort, get them in the room he had seen her purchase with her damn money and not his, and then talk it all out. Until she understood. He had a month. By the time he was in this god forsaken airport again, Armin hoped that their voices would be as happy as those around them.
Once they got everything settled, Armin marched outside, going to one of the many awaiting cabbies. He nodded at the man, who jumped out and started speaking kindly at them, and popped the trunk. Armin stuffed their bags in, grabbed the back seat door and held it open for Annie.
“Come sit darling.” Armin said loudly and lovingly, as if any husband would to their wife. Once she was inside, Armin followed right behind her, feeling closer to her now than up in the planes. They only had a few inches separating them. Good.
“The Four Seasons Resort please.” Armin told the driver and then they were off. Armin turned to her in the small backseat, the world around them a paradise in contrast to their gloomy thoughts.
“Hey.” Armin said lowly, looking past her and even through the busy roads and buildings, Armin could see blue peeking off into the distance.
“At least we can finally see the sea together.” Armin held his breath, looking back at her, to see if his words reminded her of their childhood promise.

Annie kept her teeth shut tight in an attempt to not cause a scene. He was doing this because he wanted too? Oh, Armin was extremely lucky that she didn't punch him there and then. Maybe she was just mad that he was so dismissive of all the reasons why they shouldn't be together and was still, after everything that happened, so hopeful. She envied that about him. Rolling her eyes, she found herself being led by him, glad that she was because her mind was elsewhere completely. She didn't really snap out of her stupor until he spoke to her, calling her darling out of all damn things.
Her distracted eyes focused in on him, her mouth opened in disbelief, eyes squinting down into a dangerous glare. For someone so openly timid and cowardly Armin Arlert was a ballsy sonofabitch. Annie didn't move for an awkward bit, the cab driver leaning over from his place in the driver seat to see if something was wrong. Annie glanced down at him, then back at Armin with a sly smile. "Oh, of course my love, This place is just so beautiful I can't wait until we get to our hotel room." Her voice was dripping with sweetness, normal to others but there was a dangerously mocking undertone to it if anyone knew better. She couldn't wait to get him alone so she could finally make him pay for the stupid shit he kept pulling throughout the day.
Smiling wide, Annie figured that he would most definitely not like a slice of the bullshit he kept dishing out. So she placed her hand lightly on his arm, leaning closely as she stood on her tippy toes, leaving a kiss dangerously close to his mouth before pulling away with a dangerous glare. Smiling tightly at him with a silent 'fuck you' as she got into the cab. She slouched on the seat, crossing her arms in front of herself and looking out the window. She couldn't see the sea, even as Armin pointed it out, and she was disappointed that it was already dark out, but the whole trip made her feel tired.
She was the first to get out of the car, the embarrassment form her actions settling in late. She let Armin deal with the luggage and the cab fair and basically sped into the lounge room of the hotel that was well lit and decorated with palm trees. She walked towards the two exotic females behind the desk, seeing their bright faces and big smiles, Armin would be better off with one of them, they where much more beautiful then Annie could ever be. She gave out her alias name, getting two key cards and instructed to head through the door on the left, told it was a small walk to the first set of rooms and that hers would be the last on the line, facing out into the sea.
She rolled her eyes at one of the receptionist, as she visibly brightened when Armin entered the room. Just like that, she thought bitterly, snatching up the cards and stomping off, Armin could have anyone just like that and he still chose to waste time on her. Annie yelped lightly, almost tripping as the floor underneath her feet turned into soft warm sand. She couldn't feel the sand through her shoes and it didn't matter because her eyes and ears where suddenly stimulated by the beautiful view in front of her. Endless waves and endless stars. The sound of the waves crashing against the sand was something new to her and the salty smell was absolutely alluring.
"Holy shit." She whispered, walking further out into the sand, eyes glued on the sea as the sounds and lights of the lobby faded into the background. She was absolutely mesmerized, No picture could ever do this justice. She stared for a couple of seconds longer before laughing and turning around to look at Armin with a huge honest smile on her face, bigger than any she had ever given him before.

Armin waited, leaning against the door, as Annie dropped her mouth open. He smirked, just because she looked so adorable and then raised his eyebrows in innocence when she glared at him. Armin had expected her to call him a pet name and smiled at her words, enjoying the sound of ‘my love’ coming out of her lips. Armin wished Annie would keep saying it. What Armin hadn’t expected was for Annie to touch him, he glanced down at her hand and then froze as her lips brushed just inches away from his. Armin felt a low growl of need build up at the back of his throat, eyes flicking to her dangerously ticked off ones, and then staring at her ass as Annie went in.
The cab driver whistled and Armin shook his head, feeling his heartbeat pick up, and went in after her. Little moments like this was what kept Armin going, he knew they could be great together, if they just handled all their bullshit instead of putting it aside. Armin watched the scenery pass, feeling the spot where Annie had kissed him tingling. He licked his lips, looking at the bright stars flickering in the night sky and wanting to kiss Annie underneath them.
Armin felt the car stop and watched Annie take off, seeing her disappear into the gorgeous looking building. Armin got out, thanked the man, gave him a fifty and got her suitcases. The wind felt cool against his face, the sounds of rushing waves in the background, and faintly Annie’s voice. Armin made his way towards the lounge, unable to stop himself from taking the sights in. By the time he was inside, Armin felt excited and light, taking in the grand lounge and following after Annie.
Armin stopped behind her, looking at the crashing waves coming towards them and the sandy beach. He stepped to the side, wanting to see Annie’s reaction and saw her eyes widening at the sight. He bit his lip, the sight tugging at his heart, and when she laughed, Armin smiled and then froze once more. Her smile was so beautiful and deep and suddenly Armin could see that little girl who had been so excited about all the pretty places and things in the world. Yet it was more than that, all the horrors and darkness in her eyes seem to fade into the background as her eyes shone with delight.
“Pretty isn’t it?” Armin who had longed to see the sea since he was a little boy couldn’t take his eyes off of Annie as she smiled for him. Gods but she was beautiful. Armin vowed to see that smile more often, he would fix this ugly mess they found themselves in, and start living his life with Annie by his side. Yes, that felt right to Armin. That and cleaning up their unfinished business but that would have to wait. Right now? All Armin wanted to do was woo Annie until she accepted him as her mate.
He rushed forward, moving towards the ramp that led to all the cabins. “Come my love.” Armin liked the sound of it much better than darling, even if she was a darling. Armin smiled to himself, still watching her with big eyes. He didn’t want to take Annie away from what made her smile so, but Armin was craving to be alone with her.
“I bet the view is fantastic, which room is it?” He asked, not moving until Annie met him on the ramp and started walking.
As they walked, Armin took in the water around him, loving the sound of the waves and the breeze, and craved to take a dip. With Annie of course. She had taken him to the sea as she had promised, maybe Annie didn’t remember it since she showed no response in the cab but Armin was happy either way, wondering how they found themselves here after the hellhole that was Marley. But it was just like Annie to do this, and Armin wanted to crush her to him in thanks.
“It really is beautiful...” Armin breathed in the fresh salty air and sighed happily, as he followed Annie to their cabin.

Annie walked with a small pep to her step, excited and feeling the urge to discover everything this place had to give. She wasn't thinking about Marley for once, or the fact that something was definitely wrong between herself and Armin. As she looked at him, she swore she could see the stars reflective in his blue eyes, and once again she found herself feeling out of breath with how beautiful he was to her. Her attraction towards him had been easier to ignore before, but with the mate bond, whatever it really meant, she found herself noticing all the small things. The sharpness of his jaw when he moved his hair behind his ears, the twitch in his nose when he smelled something he didn't care for, even the angle of his clavicle.
It was so stupid to feel so attracted to him when she was trying her very best to make him think that he was just like everyone else to her. Someone she wasn't interested in. She smiled even more, happy to see that he liked the place as much as she did and she moved anxiously to the room she had gotten. "It's the last one at the tip," She told him, nearly skipping towards the cabin that had the number thirteen labeled in front under a soft glowing light. The distance between each cabin and the fact that each of them branched out from the main walkway gave them an amount of incredible privacy that she hadn't really been expecting.
She slid the card in front of the lock, waiting for the green light before entering the room. The entrance light turned on automatically at the sense of movement and she quickly took off her shoes, dazed as she continued further into the hotel room. It wasn't really just a singular room, the place was absolutely huge. She glanced to her right seeing a dinning table and to her left to see a beautiful set of couches, a huge TV on the wall. There was a huge sliding glass door against the farthest wall and she went through it, seeing a terrace with two lounge chairs. She moved to the right, passing a lower terrace that had a beautiful more close view of the sea and water, then back up again to a portion that held a private pool and more lounge chairs.
She moved back to the house, going in through another pair of glass sliding doors only to see the sea, from glass floors, at the edge of a huge bed. The only bed in the room. Pausing, she quickly moved to the next room, seeing as it finished with an impossibly huge bathroom that had two sinks, a hot tub, and a shower. With a frown, she moved back to the main room and opened a door that led to the closet. "Oh..." she said lightly, going through the doorway that led back into the living room area. "I fucked up." She told Armin blankly, glaring at the only bed in the hotel. Why hadn't she paid attention to that when she was reserving the room. "I fucked up bigggg time...."

Armin craved for a camera so he could take pictures of Annie smiling so sweetly as she took everything in. It was like her wall and facade came crashing down along with the sounds of the waves, the sea and beauty around them demanding nothing but pure admiration and adoration. Armin could see himself living here, tucked away in Paradis, with Annie to pass the time with. There would be slow days, lazy ones, then fun adventures either on the sea or exploring the island. Armin watched Annie practically skip towards the end, stretching his legs to stay behind her, his mouth stretched into a lazy smile.
Armin followed her inside, enjoying the privacy that the cabins gave, taking it into account for his plans. Armin took off his shoes and brought the suitcases into the middle of the living room, taking everything in. From almost all the sides of the room, Armin could see the sea stretching out before them. The last bit of stress and tension died away from Armin’s body and he went to sit on the couch, sinking into the softness as Annie explored the rooms.
He chuckled at her words, glancing at the bed behind her. Armin shrugged, not really minding the lone bed. He had wanted to sleep with her anyway.
“So?” Armin questioned, stretching further on the couch, feeling relaxed and happy. “I like sleeping with you. We’ve done it before and aren’t we supposed to be together on this trip? It would be weird for a couple to have two rooms. They might be looking for something like that.” Armin lied about that but didn’t want Annie to try and get a different cabin.
“I’ll sleep on the couch if you’d prefer.” Though he really preferred not to. Wanting Annie’s arms and legs over him as he slept. Wanting to wake up to her in his arms with the sound of waves crashing. Armin swallowed and patted the couch.
“Can we talk? Or do you want to call it a night?” He wouldn’t mind if she did, it was getting late and they had a long day already. Armin had time to talk it out with Annie and didn’t want to ruin the good mood. But at the same time, he felt a need to explain everything to Annie as soon as possible.

"I guess that's true." She said, not fighting his logic. They would be looking for signs of the two of them. Still, she didn't think they'd look into vacation spots, the whole thing was a bit too ridiculous to cross anyone's mind. Sighing, she pinched the bridge of her nose, here he goes again, pushing. "Arlert." she said steadily, glaring over at him. she wasn't ready for that, hell, she was sure she wasn't even ready to be touched by him or have her too close. It wasn't anything against him, she supposed, she just wasn't ready.
"I'm smaller than you," She pointed out, "I'd sleep better on the couch and you haven't even looked at the room. It's fucking beautiful, especially the floor. You'll love it there." She moved over to her luggage, laying it down and unzipping it, focused on finding something within it. After a bit, she unwrapped a book, his book, and rezipped the luggage. Standing up, she moved over to him and held it out.
"I think this belongs to you and I'm most definitely not ready to talk. this place is beautiful and I don't want to sour the mood of the first night, you can sleep though, I think I'll take a dip in the pool or something." She said simply, not knowing what he'd try saying in response.
