It was heart-wrenching, seeing the queen like this. Even for Panos, who had stood in the background, saying nothing but watching everything since he and Alister stood toe-to-toe. It reminded him of when Jewel's grandmother left, how she was in so much pain and he could do anything other than hold her until she took her last breath.
Even though she was reincarnated and they were together now, he still had the vision in his mind replaying over and over again, like punishing whips that a master would give to a slave. With a frown on his face and his spear disappearing from his hand, he continued to watch over his granddaughter and great-granddaughter until the doors to the private chamber closed behind them and Felicity.
"Damned goat," he muttered moving to stand guard by the doors.
Inside, Felicity and Jewel stood on either side of the bed where the queen lied ((I assume she was laid on a bed, your reply didn't say)). Felicity looked up at Jewel and met her eyes. There was so much despair in them that made Felicity take a moment to realize what she saw. No, it was empathy. Jewel looked and acted so much like Aideen ... well, as Aine would say. Felicty was too young to remember or even know who had captured the heart of the great Seelie King. She remembered Aine praising her sister yet going on that she should have done what she did, though. But Aine said that Aideen had a heart as pure as spring water and as beautiful as gold. Despite being a werewolf, Felicity knew that Jewel was so much more than that.
"I am fine," Felicity responded, casting her eyes to look at Alister (who now looked so much like a mortal that she felt like she had metaphorical whiplash) for a few seconds before catching something moving from the corner of her eye. But when she went to look for it, the swish of a green dress behind Jewel, she saw nothing.
She was going absolutely insane.
Jewel, saddened, brought the strap of her messenger bag over her head and handed it off to Thea. "Here, take this."
"Don't you need it?" Thea asked as she reluctantly took it and put it over her own head.
"If I do I'll tell you what to get from it. But I feel that I'll be needing what's in front of me." Jewel looked to Felicity, who looked as if she saw a ghost. "Could you look in the book for any energy replenishing or rapid healing spell? If anything something to ease her pain? It's pretty thick, so I'm sure that there is."
"Yes, of course," Felicity responded quickly, levitating the book so that she can open it and flip through its pages. Meanwhile, Jewel soaked a towel in the etched copper basin and rinsed the water. Then she folded it up and placed it on Laina's forehead. After that, she picked up the containers with herbs one at a time and gave a good whiff. Chamomile - that would help the queen to relax. Echinacea - that might help or speed up the process for her bones snapping back in place; Jewel knew it did for werewolf pups going through their first shift. Foxglove - although poisionous, some parts of it can be used for medicinal properties; this could help with the queen's irregular heart beating. If the servants gave this to her then she was sure that they knew of the properties too.
In fact, she was sure that if they had all of these herbs and crystals, then they knew it could help the pain Laina went through daily. Jewel nodded when Felicity said she found something, and quickly they worked together - Jewel with the herb mixture, and Felicity with the spell.
"It's only to help speed along the healing process," Felicty said. "An incantation said over the herbs to enhance their medical properties and the time it takes while they are in the system. But I did find something else to replenish one's energy."
Jewel told Thea to bring out her mortar and pestle within the bag, and Thea did. To Felicity, she nodded. "And how do we do that?"
There was a pause, then, "When the moon is at it's fullest, one can switch their energy with another's. There's no context as to why the spell was written, but how and the incantation. But it's so easy to get the definition of energy mixed up."
"How so?" Jewel didn't look up from mashing the herbs into powder together. Then as a side note to anyone willing, "Could someone give me a tea cup and hot water?" She intended to give this mixture to the queen as a tea. No sweetener to dilute it. But she guessed it didn't matter either way because the spell was going to heighten the herbs' properties.
She decided to stick with no sweetener just in case.
"Energy could mean how well you were feeling, or it could mean your magic. It really depends on who is casting and the circumstances of how and why it was cast. I can see a few instances of why one would need either. But there is no reversal if anything went awry."
"If the full moon was tonight then I would have no qualm with switching energy with the queen," Jewel said without hesitation, waiting for that tea cup and hot water and Felicity to say the incantation over them - which she did after being shocked at the words that came from Jewel's mouth. "A werewolf has an accelerated healing time - me faster than most. Queen Laina could have get well even faster and my immune system can kick her physical ailment's ass. So in the end we both feel better ... until this happens again."

Sarah took a deep breath in, but before she could release it, it hitched in her throat under the lump in her throat.
She could also be overreacting. All of her fears could be invalid and she worked herself up over nothing. Admittedly, she was good at that. But this thought process didn't make her feel any better. (Thankfully, it didn't get worse. She was still on the verge of crying - Sarah was actually proud that she was holding it in for this long.)
That pride flushed down the drain as the water works finally started. She tried to keep it under control, but she couldn't help it much when Crevan told her that she didn't have to be afraid. "Okay," she managed to get out, prying one arm from his waist so that she can wipe her tears from her face. She was quietly sobbing, but she couldn't say anything other than "Okay" again, as if reassuring herself now.
Sarah didn't think it took her long to stop crying, but then again her feet prickled with the feeling of them going to sleep. It might have been her boots, but it could also mean that she stood in one spot for so long. But she didn't want to move until she was finished crying. And when she was, she pulled away from the hug and let her hands go limp by her side.
"I .. guess I just scared myself." Sarah blushed, which was barely discernible due to the fact that she had cried and tried to suppress it as much as possible. She wanted to brush this aside, her eyes looking at anywhere but the royal colors that made up the man's eyes. "And um ... you don't have to be worried about me and the prince." That last part she said in a hiccuped rush.

When the queen was laid on the bed she could barely hear any of them, the room was dark to her as well. Though the lights were bright enough to see for others, she let out a pained whine until she felt a cold cloth on her forehead. Her body seemed to relax instantly as the cloth steamed as if she was so hot it heated the towel. Damien returned to the room with a new pair of clothes and his hair wet. He sniffed the air smelling the herbs he mad no remark to them. Watching the women speak among each other he would move to Alister who pour him a cup of coffee with the kings scotch. " I am glad that you fine. " Said, Alister, as he poured her tea instead. The king would hear Jewel beacon for a teacup, he moved to grab his wife's green tea mug. He walked over slowly setting the cup on the nightstand. " We have three moon's here. It should be a full moon if not tonight tomorrow. " He would walk over to the window and pull the curtains back so that when the moons rose they could watch to see.
He remained by the window as if the could not bear to see her in agony, Alister leaned on the hard oak round table. " When the sun sets It will be tonight and partially into the next day. I am sure of it. " He said his voice soft his eyes on the queen them shining like a dog's eyes for a moment with the look of a goat before becoming more human. The tar-like veins hadn't receeded but were not getting any worse, the queen seemed silent for a moment before she took a large breath letting it shutter out. This gathered the king attention quickly having him come closer to the bed but staying out of the way. " I consent to anything you can do to make her well again. " He looked to Felicity who was working with the book, hearing that she was a were had him frown for a moment before he sat heavily into one of the strong oak chairs. " Alister give them what they might need for the recovery of the jewel as well. Anything they want at all. " Alister would bow his head before he let out a soft sigh." Jewel you can not stay here surely forever. You have your own life to live at home. So let's think more on just the now too?" He said in a soothing voice. He wasn't demanding that she fix it permanently but that she perhaps find something they could do once she has left to continue help.
When no one was looking the figure and the Temptress appeared by the window, she seemed to be trying to read from the book Felicity held. She was curious to see if the incantations were different in this book then in other she had copied into her own tome from years off passing. The temptress had her eyes on the queen as if she lusted to finish her off in her weakness.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
He gently leads her to sit down on the wicker couch," Tell me what you thought this meant?" voice low and soft as he held the pendant on the necklace. " Me giving you your freedom?" Being concerned with how her emotions were going. It made him want to hold her close and comfort her. When she made the remark about the prince he frowned. He had an inkling as to why but he wanted to hear from her. He did pull her close when she hiccuped a cry rushing her sentence. " Why is that Sarah?" Gently brushing a strand of hair behind her ear he would gently rub her shoulder holding her close.
He started to think the prince must have done something to make her think this, it made him feel as if he would be speaking with the young male soon. He didn't really like his witch either with her snippy attitude, she was rather coursing to others that got close to the prince so his focus went between the two of who he would be giving his mind to later. First, he needed Sarah to explain, so he could get rid of his confusion.

Jewel thanked Damien for getting the mug, dropped the contents into it, and grabbed a kettle from one of the servants that was filled with hot water. "That must be a pretty sight," Jewel commented when she learned that there were three moons.
"Oh, it is," Felicity agreed, watching the doctor across from her take a spoon and swirl the contents five times before the powder disappeared (which really shocked Jewel because the herbal contents usually settled at the bottom of the cup if one didn't have a tea bag). "It was the spell," Felicity explained to Jewel in an amused whisper.
"Ugh, why am I surprised," Jewel said.
Felicity was close to the moon, preferring to do her spell work by the light of it because of her affinity for the water element. At the moon's beckon, water ebbed and flowed, rising at tide and washing away traces left by humans and other species. Seeing that the Isles was illuminated by three moons instead of one, she was absolutely in awe.
"King Damien, you're too kind," Jewel replied, giving him a kind smile over her shoulder before moving to lift the queen's head. To Queen Laina, she murmured as a mother would to a child, "Queen Laina, I don't know if you can hear me, but I need you to drink this. Or at least try. This will help you."
Jewel glanced at Alister, the demon that accused her grandfather of also being a demon. She was wary of him; she didn't try to hide it. Yet his words were soft and nowhere close to wanting to cause a fight with her like earlier with her grandfather. "You're right, I do. I plan on leaving before tomorrow. The problem is, I can't think of anything at this moment to help the queen while I'm away other than what I'm doing now. I can have Felicity make this tea for her to help ease the pain and accelerate the healing. But other than that I think that the only way to make her better is to get rid of the ... issue all together."
Jewel's gut clenched and twisted, thinking back to all of the patients she's helped before. She was efficient in finding and healing the problem. I.e. battle wounds. She can stitch up someone no problem. She can help mothers give birth without a hitch. She can dole out herbal remedies without a single doubt. She's only done one exorcism once and that was so long ago ... to be honest she was sure that she wasn't much help in that.
Jewel found the problem all right. She even found a solution (though it didn't take a rocket scientist to realize that). Yet going so far as to doing the steps to get to that solution? Alister had been right earlier. She couldn't help the queen. She didn't have the means or magick to do so.
***
Sarah's fingers locked together tightly so she didn't have to feel or see them shaking. "It sounds crazy," she admitted. "I thought that ... maybe you were getting tired of me? I don't know. In hindsight, like I said, I just scared myself." It was a valid fear of hers though, that anyone she ever grew to care about would eventually get tired of and then have nothing to do with her.
She didn't protest though when he pulled her to him again, pressing her cheek against his chest and feeling the thump of the pendent against her chest reverberate through her body. When he asked why about the prince, she sighed and shook her head. "Because I'm not a princess or a duchess anything like that. I came here to be your ... pet or Scion. Just because Queen Laina is teaching me to walk and talk and dance accordingly doesn't make me any more part of the court than if a dog can turn into a bird because it thinks it can fly."
Then she pulled back, eyes red from crying and yet wide-eyed to look at Crevan. "Have you seen the gaggle of girls that follow him? They scare me how they throw themselves at him. His witch scares me too, but all she's ever done is cast hateful glares at me when Prince Julian helps me learn how to dance." She paused, then added in defense for Adisa, "I wouldn't like it either though." She shook her head and untangled her fingers so that she can lift the pendent with one hand and study it. "The point is, I'm not like any of them, thus meaning that I am not good enough for the prince to even look in my direction."

Damien let out a sigh as he rubbed his eye gently with his fingers as if calming a migraine. " I try and be kind. " This was not only hurting the queen but taking a toll on the king as well with the stress. The curtain was pulled back as the queen's Witch entered the room, this made the king stiffen and bare his fangs briefly. The man would stop just inside the doorway watching from there, the magical orb on his belt sheened for a moment. " You are going to leave without doing any real help?" Her witch sounded angry. The King shifted in his chair to look at him about to answer when Alister stepped forward a little bit. " Well if it was that simple you would have done something already, Ja?" He slowly walked towards him. Armel stepped to Alister them being nearly the same height," What of you?" He whispered shoving his finger into his chest" You are that things assistant. You could end this with a snap of your fingers!!" Alister stood still letting this man stab him in the chest with his index finger.
Damien let out a sigh," I will have silence from those that are doing nothing to help!" He let out a loud roar slamming his fist down on the armrest of his chair. The witch stepped back a little from Alister who merely dusted himself as if he merely got him dirty. " Are you taking the book with you when you go?" He asked jewel after a little bit. Making his way to the bedside of the queen, she let out a soft moan when Jewel helped her drink. When she tried to drink it sounded like a light sucking noise till she coughed. Her eyes were barely open and the inside looked hollow of emotion. Damien made a fist and released it several times as if thinking, he knew the answer to saving his wife but not keeping his people safe.
The figure smiled as she etched a few spells she hadn't seen before into the book, as the ink hit the page it would light up and slowly disappear, this had her delighted. "Pallium umbra lunae me in umbra tuam" (The cloak of the moon shade me in thine shadow) They would disappear from view. She let out a soft chortle," Ventus target est liber a nympharum plus tenuit, turn paginae." (Wind target the tome held by the faerie, turn the pages.) Everyone in the room knew that destroying the Demon would at least stop the poisoning of his wife, but it would leave the isle open to attack by the other families.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Crevan would listen to her not saying a word as she spoke about how she felt about why she broke down when he gave her the pendant. And everything slipped into place as to why she felt the way she did. He was about to speak when she answered his question about the prince, he said nothing. When she pulled back and asked about him seeing the woman that follow him. He let out a little laugh more sounding like a scoff. But when she spoke ill of her self his arm pulled her close again. " I have seen what follows him. Leeches that only see the throne not knowing the evil within it. They think it to be an honor to sit upon it and be the queen. " He let out a deep sigh" It is a curse for any woman that sits in it. " He looked down at her. " And none of them even remotely have the power or birthright to do so. " He let out a sigh and shook his head" You wear my pendant makes you have any right as the royal family that lives on this island. " He bites his lip a trickle of a drop of blood slide down his chin. A growl sounding primal hung in his throat. " You are very powerful under that human emotion you have held you back. " His eyes seemed angry for a moment but when he closed and opened them again they seemed sad.
" Though you are more then worthy of him. I would see you not sit on the throne. For even the strong wilt on that damned marble contraption. " I can't force you to see the worth you have Sarah. Only your self can do that. " He was startying to think that no support she was given she would never see the light he saw within her. This pained him as much as his wife's death had. He could not have her as his scion with how things were going, though he would not abandon her as she soully thought he would.

Jewel ignored Armel's words, yet couldn't help that Armel's words felt like knives in her back. She heard her daughter growl a warning. "Thea, knock it off."
He shouldn't have said that, Ma, Thea defended herself through the link. Jewel didn't see her daughter, who had stood ramrod straight defensively. If she were in her wolf form her hair would stand on end.
All of a sudden, it went quiet, at least from the three women. Felicity winced at Damien's loud voice, scrunching her brow. She herself felt as if she failed Laina too, seeing as how Felicity was the one who brought Jewel here. She waited, her brow still scrunched together, for Jewel's answer to the King. "I'm not sure," she said, making Felicity relax her brow. "I'm thinking about it. If I do I want to make sure it's in good hands."
"It will be," Felicity reassured.
That's when she felt it. By the time Felicity had felt the magic being used she had already closed the book. It was obvious this time that she was looking for something, and she did catch that flash of green fabric out of the corner of her eye (this time by her and not Jewel), but felt that the the splash of color wasn't the one that used the magic.
"I'm going to step out if you don't need me," Felicity stated to Jewel, goosebumps on her arm raising.
"Don't go too far," Jewel called to her back in the middle of urging the queen to drink after she coughed. "I might need another spell soon. ***
Sarah was torn between wanting to laugh at how Crevan called Julian's entourage leeches and feeling sad - not for herself this time. For the queen. She respected Laina so much because she knew how much pain she was in and yet she offered to give Sarah her lessons. She knew that the throne was hurting the Queen of Vampires but she didn't know the extent of it. Did she want to sit on that throne? No. Even so...
"I would sit on it if it meant Queen Laina didn't have to anymore," she murmured, her mind lost and her body tired from all the crying. She felt as if she could sleep for days. Only when Crevan growled did it snap her back to reality and make her look into his eyes again. For a few brief moments, her heart thudded out startled beats, but she didn't move. A vast improvement since coming to the Isles. Originally she would have tried to run. This time, she stayed where she was at and even reached up to brush the blood away from his lip.
Sarah knew that he had to be hungry. Well, it was more of a gut feeling. Just because he didn't eat in front of her doesn't mean that he didn't eat at all. She saw it in his eyes before he blinked. Animalistic hunger.
Before she said anything, he continued to speak. Taking in his words, she breathed in deep one more time before letting him out. He thought so highly of her. It made her chest tighten to think of it. That feeling of pride she had before he granted her freedom came back, not as sharp though. It made her silent for a few minutes, smiling ruefully. Then she spoke up again. "You can drink from me if you want."

Damien let out a sigh again rubbing his brow," Felicity that was not towards you. " He said softly as if her leaving was because of his outburst. It was all he said as he listened to the sounds of his wife sipping the spelled tea. Alister smiled hearing that the book might yet remain with Felicity, he would stroll through the room slowly stopping before the window his eyes focused in one spot. The figure felt uneasy with where he was staring even though no mortal could see them, she was not sure about a demon and their sight into magic.
It made her blood run cold for a moment, she closed her eyes the crystal smooth ball released a bit of the Demons darkness voiding the protection. "Ianuae Magicae solio locus." (Teleport throne room.) The figure would appear into the throne room with the Temptress at her side, she would be surprised to see A man standing in the throne room. She tensed which put the Temptress on edge, the door opening to the throne room from the queen's room ad her hand shifts slightly as if she was ready to call for her trindles depend on the reaction of the man and the person that was coming.
The queen would swallow more tea more clearly as the pain seemed to fade some, soon more bones would be heard popping quickly till there was silence. Nothing changed with her veins currently though. Her breathing was still heavy though," Where is Sarah?" She whispered softly. She seemed out of it, Damien shifted a little watching her seeing nothing changed for her veins had him standing. " She is with Crevan I assume love." He said to her before looking to Jewel." You should rest before you return to your world Jewel. The couch is kind of a day bed by the window. If you please?" He said softly. " Hopefully the moons will be offering up their kindness tonight for you." He seemed to want to sit with his wife alone as he could be.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Crevan raised a brow at her saying she would sit if it meant she didn't have to, he felt pride in her for wanting to help. But in the end, he didn't think he could see her going through what the queen was. He could barely stand seeing her that way let alone Sarah, he let out a deep sigh. " It does not work that way anyway. The throne would choose..." He knew that Sarah most likely was very powerful once unlocking her potential. The throne would choose her in a heartbeat for a mate for the prince. He shuttered for a moment thinking about it, when Sarah touched the blood on his lip his eyes focused on her. When she spoke of him being able to feed on her he looked shocked for a moment, then his brow furrowed his eyes going to her neck. He could see the heartbeat in the vein, the pulse called to his inner animal desire. The instinct to sink his fangs into her flesh piercing it, the fight of it was hard to the point his eyes started to turn blood red. His lip curled a little as it seemed as if his fangs grew a little in length. His mouth seemed to be producing extra saliva dripping from the fangs, it was more of a numbing agent produced by the body at will.
He would let out a growl that sounded more like a cat purring, his hand that he brought up to her face had its fingernails looking more like a claw. They were razor sharp and could cut flesh with a touch, barely drawing it across her flesh to the point she could only feel it not be sliced open. His fingers would gently brush back her hair, his eyes still focused on her neck as he took in a deep breath. He was lightning fast as he set his fangs into the flesh of her neck, his body tensed for a second as his hand gently held the nap of her neck and the blood hit his mouth.
He would pull more through sucking on the wound his fangs deep in her flesh, as long as they remained the blood would flow. His fangs would start to pump venom into her veins after he fed for only a little while, the venom would course down her veins making her have a feeling of being high. The venom allowed a connection between scion and vampire, blood like orbs of eyes slowly turned back to the purple hue with platinum flecks with swirls. They seemed to glow slightly as he pulled his fangs from her, his tongue slicked across the wounds sealing them. He would gently keep his hand at the nape of her neck so she wouldn't fall or pass out and fall.

It was as if Felicity didn't hear King Damien. Or if she did, she didn't pay attention to his words. Her words became brisk and quick, the heels of her boots making quiet 'click click" on the floor until she walked through the doorway to the throne room.
But the magic still followed her. Unfamiliar. Her gut instinct told her that it wasn't to be trusted - which was saying something because she was a witch. She was always accepting of magic. It would sound hypocritical of her if she wasn't. But the problem was, it was foreign to her and she doesn't know who was casting it.
"Felicity, right?" Panos said quietly from his spot by the doorway to the queen's rest area. When she acknowledged him he continued, "That book needs to go back your family's home."
Felicity scoffed. "How would you know about the family's home?" Her arms hugged the book tighter, defensive. "Surely whoever you mated with wasn't that trusting to tell you where it is." At the scowl he gave her, she shook her head. "It doesn't matter if she told you, you couldn't get in anyway."
"Actually, she didn't. She never talked much of her grandmother's side of the family to me. But she did say that she should have taken it back to wherever the matriarch lived because that would be where it was safest. With Aideen gone there is no reason why it shouldn't be there anymore." Ludin sensed it too, the magick that was used. Well, he could smell it, being a wolf-demon and all. He found the general direction, but that was it. He couldn't seem to give a care else about it other than giving said general direction what Jewel would call the stank eye.
"But hey, what do I know. I'm just a demon."
Felicity couldn't give much more response to that other than another shake of her head before going to the French doors. She knew they were enchanted and they could lead to anywhere in the castle. But honestly, she was more worried about the book, both being afraid that someone was trying to steal it and wanting to just have the chance to be with it. Panos was right. It should go back to Aine, but if she did that, Felicity would never have a chance with the book again. She was shunned from her family since breaking that deal with King Oberon. Meaning she couldn't ever be with them again for ceremonies and holidays and partaking in family rituals. She can't dance with her sisters or cousins and flirting with sailors.
That letter that Aine had sent to her was so that Felicity could get it back to Europe, not because she lifted the shun. Felicity knew it. Aine could be conniving in her own, elderly way. And she hated it.
Maybe the doors could get me to Sarah, so she can look at it with me, she thought, shouldering the doors open.
***
Sarah watched his eyes become red, her stomach sore from her clenching it so hard. But it was either that or her legs springing her forward and carrying her across the room. There was something - self preservation - that urged her to run, but her gut countered that if she ran it would probably trigger something in Crevan to chase after her. And she knew that he would catch up to her within two strides.
She wanted to think that she knew what he was thinking. Part of her hoped that he would deny her offer, but she did offer because she cared for him. And he needed blood to keep going. Mostly, it was her reason that kept her seated because of that. She couldn't stomach his claw-like hand, mouth swallowing nervously as her eyes closed. She hissed at his nail going across the soft flesh of her neck (even though she didn't feel any pain), then ... she felt good.
This felt like whe she smoked weed for the first time, she thought, but in better circumstances. This, she was doing willingly, feeling Crevan pulling at the wound at her neck yet not feeling any pain from it. Sarah was relaxed, a smile lighting her face while her eyebrows were released from being all scrunchy.
Why did she think this was going to hurt?
When it was over, she did feel light, but she didn't feel like she was so dizzy she was going to pass out. Suddenly, she giggled. There probably should be an intimacy the exchanged she and Crevan just had. All she could feel was ... good. No anxiety. No stress. No fear or sadness. She didn't have a worry in the world.
"How long have you gone without blood?"she asked suddenly, a bit of of concern flashing thorugh.

The figure watched the exchange between the two, she could tell they were sensing her magic, she waited for them to make a move. It seemed they could not pinpoint where she was so she remained where she was. Turning to the throne she would sit down watching its occupant slumber within the fine craftsmanship, Temptress seemed less than enthused but noticed that the spells guarding the chamber were gone.
Even the doors leading to other places seemed to remain normal, halls leading to where they should be. She figured the demon had cast the spells and with him asleep they had gone dormant. At least for a time, she supposes, watching the one that owned her had her lip curling as the figure wrote in the book. She wanted to snatch it from her and beat her with it, she had no idea that vampires could be this strong in magic. Was the first she had ever met to go beyond her own power, it was chilling, to say the least.
She would turn her attention away from her newfound Mistress to lay her eyes on the brute of a man. She looked him over slowly picking him apart with her eyes, calculating what parts of him would go well in a spell of a summon or potion nature. Still, in the cloak of the spell, she walked slowly over to him to get a better look.
Crevan watched her with a smile knowing the feeling she was going through, he took had his blood drank from. Though his was a much more dire circumstance, he had nearly died from another house nearly draining him. He let out a sigh watching the stages of calm, when she spoke he chuckled. " Since my wife. I have never fed from another till now. " He thought of it for a moment. " In battle sometimes I use my fangs, but I dont nessecarly feed.
And I do not count blood wine because as a meal it is not filling enough. " He gently scratched at his stubble. " It is why I am currently not at my full power. I would need to gorge myself in order to get that far. I would like to refrain from killing you by drinking that amount. " He chuckled at her concern." I can eat like a nomal human to gain sustanence, though blood is better for our strength. "
He felt he was rambling now so he fell silent for a moment. He had smelled her fear during his feeding for a split second, if she had run he would of lost control. He knew he would have. Thankful for her bravery he didnt have to worry about what might hav been during the exchange. Hearing the french doors opening he would wipe any remaining blood from his mouth feeling awkward that now someone might choose to come out

Panos chuckled, but he wasn't amused. It sounded more like a warning sound an animal makes when he is being threatened. His eyes started changing again from the usual light blue to the ominous red of his father's. The presence was getting closer, he can tell. The scent was getting stronger. The tang of magick hit the back of his throat hard, making him swallow before breathing in again. He wanted to see if he could get the scent of whoever was casting that magick.
"I can smell you," he said, his voice going octaves deeper. "And when I find you, I'll have you for lunch."
"Who the hell are you talking to?" Thea demanded, who had been told by Jewel to bring Panos into the adjoining room to let him now of the plan and how afterward they were heading home. Thea didn't want to, rather wanting to stay by her mother's side because she still didn't trust this place. It was bad enough that her great-grandfather turned out to be a demon, but her mother couldn't do the thing that she came here to do.
Jewel was going to be moody as hell when they got back home. Thankfully, she wouldn't have to deal with it, but she felt bad for Nate and her siblings, who were going to be mad or upset in the first place.
"No one," he said nonchalantly, but still speaking in a tone that reminded Thea of a scary Kool-Aid Man. Yet the fact that she just compared the two meant that Thea didn't find Panos at all scary. "What do you need?"
"Ma wants to talk to you." Thea lifted her top lip in a look of disgust. His eyes were now more red than blue. "And get your eye color back to normal. She still wants to believe that you're normal."
With one last look toward the direction of the magick he licked his top lip, tongue going over rather sharp-looking canines. He wouldn't be embarrassed if the intimidation tact didn't work. Hopefully he'd never have to come back to this place again. But if it did ... good.
***
"That must have been a long time." She knew there was no "must have"; definitely, it has been a long time ago. She knew that vampires lived long, and the witches did too. Well she too was a witch, so she would live long. Compared to everyone around her? She was just a baby. Even Felicity, who looked no more than twenty, was more than twice that age. Sarah knew that she too will probably age very well herself, but what happens when life finally catches up to everyone, leaving her alone.
Still having that feeling of being high, she decided to put that off for now. Sarah didn't need anything to ruin it. So instead, she listened to him talk, turning her gaze to watch him speak. She found it quite amusing to hear him ramble, something that she so often did when she was nervous. "I would like for you to refrain from killing me too," she quipped, grinning. "But I'd be more than happy to help you get back up to your full strength."
There were a few moments of blissful silence between them, filled in by the birds twittering. The sun was going down slowly, turning the sky into bold colors of red, orange, and yellow. Sarah always loved seeing the sun rise and fall every day, and every chance she could she would watch it, greeting it and telling it goodnight until tomorrow. It was a ritualistic practice, even going so far as to saying the words out loud if she were alone. Because even if she said goodbye, she knew that the sun would come up the next day.
"I was told that I looked like your wife," she said suddenly, but before she could say anything more, the doors that everyone walked through earlier opened again. She heard Felicity huff, eyes glistening with emotion as she walked out of the crack between door and doorjamb.
"If I interact with another demon other than Alister, it will be too soon," she said, using her back to shut the door in a decisive thud. "My nerves can't handle it."
Then she walked forward, eyes landing on the pair sitting on the couch at Sarah's question of "Demon?" "Yes, demon," Felicity affirmed, walking closer to them. "Oh, by the way, you're going to be casting a spell tonight."
"Does it have to do with demons?"
"Kind of," Felicity said after a bit of a pause. "But not really."
*
Of course, Felicity explained as best she could what had happened. By the time the moons have risen high into the sky, everyone knew that needed to know what had happened with Laina and the demon.
Sarah didn't know about everyone else, but her stomach was in knots. Her family's book was heavy in her arms; she didn't know how Jewel and Felicity carried it with such ease! She was nervous about how this night was going to go. She feared that she was going to screw it up, even though Felicity said that if she didn't get the exact wording right the spell wouldn't work. The family's spells were big on language, often being wordy because the witches believed there was power in words. Only a few can actually change and manipulate spells. But neither Felicity or Sarah thought rationally that Sarah was that strong.
Sarah was always afraid of failure though. No one could help that.
They were in the garden of the castle, in front of the fountain. Earlier, Sarah had eaten an apple, the only thing she had eaten since Crevan claimed her as his scion. She was about to throw it up. Needless to say, the feeling of relaxation escaped from her without looking back.
"Before you cast the spell, I'll open a circle for you three," Felicity told Sarah, who nodded. She knew what a circle was. This made it easier for the spell to do what it needed to, having the space in which the magick is taking place a become a temporary temple so to speak. Most witches really didn't need circles cast, relying on their own body as temples. But until Sarah is more comfortable...
"It's training wheels on a bicycle," Felicity told Sarah when she cast her first circle.
Felicity smiled reassuringly to Sarah, lifting her hand to squeeze her arm in support. "You'll do fine, I promise." To Jewel, she took a breath and asked, "Is this your first time in a circle?"
Jewel nodded after a few brief moments. "I believe so, yes. Though that's not to say I've never heard of circles before, nor witnessed one being cast."
Felicity smiled, bolstered, then looked to Laina. "My queen, are you ready?"

The temptress stopped moving when the male spoke, she didn't shrink away, however, seeing as the spell would hold for a few more moments. Her appraisal of him was that he had a few rare ingredients that she could use, but wasn't worth the risk as of now. When the other was stepped into the room she sniffed a little as if the smell of dog had followed her into the room making it thicker then before with just Panos.
She curled a lip a little as if in disgust until watched the spunk the woman had towards the towering demon. It made her smile her attitude towards her was favored, she would have thought of keeping her as a pet if she wasn't subservient her self. Though till now she thought she could conquer everything, now she was very sure that she wasn't as powerfully as she thought. The figure would stand as the two made their way back into the room.
When she rose and moved towards the Temptress she sighed closing her tome, " Let us be away. I won't be able to do what I came here for just yet. I will have to wait. " The temptress could care less what she wanted but did not hesitate to step beside her. They vanished from the throne room.
Crevan merely nodded when she spoke of it being a long time, he continued to watch her. When she spoke about bringing him to his full strength he merely smiled for the moment, knowing that if he had his full strength there were things that limited him. Being full strength meant that he would have to feed more often to keep it topped off because he would find reasons to use it. It kept him grounded to be somewhere in the middle. " You gave me enough tonight." He merely said with a smile.
When she mentioned that she had been told that she looked like his wife, he tensed and froze for a moment. He was about to tell her yes when the doors opened and here came Felicity with the book. Him hearing her ramblings about Demons he merely chuckled and stood up. He would bow to her in greeting but remained silent as the two conversed. He wondered what they had gotten into while he was out here with Sarah.
~*~*~*~*~*~ time skip~*~**~*~*~*~
Crevan was aware of the spell that was going to be cast in the outer garden, he felt the feelings of Sarah boil in his middle. His enjoyment of not too long ago was wiped clean from all the sick feeling. He breathed heavy as he opened his shirt and a symbol etched its self on his skin, it glowed golden then turning black like ink from a tattoo. It was the mark of his scion. The connection had been made earlier that day but the mark had taken a while to appear, he wondered why it had taken so long. He only turned to pay attention once they had started their little circle's.
He sat on a stone half wall watching them, as the queen seemed a little better in health most of the black had receded. He was sure when everyone else was busy speaking about the spell the King had fed upon her pulling the blackness from her. He watched him walk over and sit next to him. The worry in his face made him seem old for a moment before he stretched looking over at Crevan and smiled seeing his shirt open a bit seeing the mark. " About time you come back to the living. You know she would have wanted you to live beyond her. " The king said, which in turn made Crevan stiffen with anger as he thought on his daughter that had perished with her. It had the King say nothing further.
The queen looked to Felicity and nodded stepping to her spot, she would take a deep breath stretching and popping her neck. She would move her fingers slightly like spiders, as her fingers seemed to light up for a moment. The pulse would move throughout her body as if stretching her magical ability as well. " Yes, I am ready." She had more strength than earlier that day from the rest and assistance. But it could collapse easily, why she agreed to this in the first place.
Her tomes laid nearby, the pages hummed with power that she had let ebb from her to be store the majority of her magic. As the hues of sunset filtered away The first and the largest of the three moons started to rise over the horizon. Her eyes sparkled and started to glow as it brimmed over the edge of the land, they had a neon look to them.

The mark that had appeared on Crevan's chest was that of an interpretation of the Tree of Life. Under the boughs were the sun and moon on the left and right side of the trunk respectively. The Dancing Witches respected all life and the knowledge that came with it. When it came to the sun and moon, they centered their spells around the phases of the moon and during specific placements of the sun. It didn't hurt that they saw the four elements can be directed by the sun and moon as well.
Felicity's eyes were a natural blue, reminding a poet that she had met of the darkest depths of the ocean. Whereas Laina's eyes gave off this neon sheen, Felicity's eyes merely became lighter versions of themselves, reflecting off the light the first moon gave. Sarah's? Well, they were still the golden color that she had when Felicity released the bond she had on her glamour and magick.
Sarah couldn't help, as she saw the differences in her biological mother's and her queen's eyes that Jewel's ... didn't change. In fact, they stayed the same wise brown that reminded Sarah of the woman that raised her. The woman that loved her unconditionally, wholly and completely, regardless of the flaws that she had.
Suddenly, on top of those nerves in her stomach, she had a singular sharp pain in her chest. Sarah missed her mother and father so much.
Felicity started casting the circle after she got confirmation from Laina. The four women were surrounding a table with five candles: one yellow for air, placed in the eastern direction; one red for fire, placed in the southern direction; one blue for water, placed in the western direction; one green for earth, placed in the northern direction; and one purple, placed in the center for spirit.
One by one, Felicity lit them from her place behind the candle representing water, starting with the yellow candle that Sarah was standing behind then working her way around and ending with the spirit candle.
We start tonight with the element that brings the breath of life Air, come to our circle tonight Next is the bold, who offers warmth in the cold nights Fire, come to our circle tonight
So far, Sarah had felt both elements arrive at Felicity's call, easing her worry of how tonight was going to go when she felt the wind pick up and a heat lighting within her belly, reaching up to melt away her knots and sharp pain. It reminded her of the night before her birthday, at the ball where she breathed fire for the first time. Her shoulders droop a bit as she relaxed at the same time the red candle lit up before the match hit the wick.
The element next invited is the one who gives us relief on hot days Water, come to our circle tonight From which we are born to where we return, as well as where we get our nourishment Earth, come to our circle tonight Last, but never least, the one who connects us all Spirit, come to our circle tonight
And suddenly, as soon as that candle representing the last element was lit, lines like golden thread appeared, connecting the four women around the table in a circle. It was rare that a physical manifestation of the cast circle manifested, so Felicity took it as a good sign for tonight and the future.
Felicity waved the match through the air quickly, putting the light out, before she clapped her hands together once. "As I will, the circle is cast!"
Goosebumps rose on Jewel's arms. The energy was so thick and electrifying. Raising both arms, she looked at the golden circle connecting her with the other three women with wide eyes. She, too, felt the elements as if she were standing outside on a windy day, by a campfire, feeling water washing over her feet and smelling the small patch of lavender by her house. When spirit was invoked she felt someone tap on her shoulder a few times, then a hand squeezed hers reassuringly. Jewel looked behind her left then right shoulder before she caught a glimpse of a red haired woman that looked so much like her.
As soon as she blinked, she was gone.
"Sarah, are you ready?"
Sarah was overcome with the energy too that she couldn't give Felicity an answer. Instead, she just nodded. Felicity lifted her hand, and when Sarah felt the tug of the book trying to be lifted she let go. Over the candles it came to Felicity's side, and she opened it to the page Sarah needed before lifting it back over the candles to Sarah's side.
Sarah took a deep breath before reaching out her hands, one for Jewel to take hold and one fore the queen. Sarah wouldn't go any farther until Laina took her hand.

The King checked the mark on Crevans chest area him liking the design, " Her mark matches you. " He said before he looked at his own witches mark, it looked like a Celtic knot with vines growing from it. He sighed as he looked at the group as the Aether winds shifted around the ley lines in the area. The thrum of the lines tickled the hairs on the nap of his neck bringing a smile to his face, he knew those line flowed through his wife like live wire electricity on nights likes this.
Watching as the circle was being cast and the elements of their spells crackled to live slowly like a low burn of embers till the manifestation brimmed like a bright light bulb. His wife's hair moved as if gusting in a brisk wind, her cheeks turn rosy from the warmth. At her feet flowers seemed to sprout along with the grass further, the fountain water would move about as if a wave on the ocean. As the spirit gave itself to the circle her hair floated as if she was swimming in the Aether. Her skin would become light up by the circle giving it a slight glow.
Crevan slowly stood watching the group he had never witnessed something like this before, not something of purity and light. Their witches magic usually was something of darkness and deadly, he seemed to not be able to catch his breath in its presence, the King moved to stand next to him placing his hand on his shoulder. " You need to start using your magic again. " He nare a mention his wife. He had stopped using it altogether when she was murdered, he said that part of him had died with her.
They both watched as they started to hold hands, as Laina reached for Sarahs Aether and ley line mixed coming off her hand like a bolt of lightning. It felt warm like sinking into a warm bath as it connected before her hand took hold of hers, the energy brimmed within that grasp transferring to Sarah. When that connection was made Crevan could feel it through Sarah, he let out a sigh as her symbol lite up on his chest. The King kept his hand on crevan to help siphon any that from him since he refused to feed to his full and practice magic it could make him lose consciousness being this near. They were both eager to see what was going to happen next.

Beneath castle in the dark reaches the figure carried a torch along the halls," Why are we down here?" The Temptress said exasperatedly before the figure turned to pull back her hood from shielding her face. " We are here to pull some power from the circle being cast tonight, if you would pull the stick from your hind end you would realize many things more then you currently do. " The Temptress narrowed her eyes at the Former queen. The woman slowly crouched by an odd looking shoot on the ground, looking to the ceiling as it would light up as the beginnings of the circle was cast bringing symbols to light. The temptress would take a step back seeing the ley lines magic mixing with quintessence pouring into something, she watched as the flow of what looked like glowing gold water poured through the shoot.
" Hellenia? What in the many realms is this?" The Temptress asked as she moved closer to get a better look. Hellenia let out a sigh as she runs her fingers through the essence," It is my daughters overflow of magic mixing with the natural lines." She said with a content sigh as the magic dripped from her fingertips. She pulled out a jar with the glass etched with runes, she would dip it into the flowing essence pulling up what she wanted. Topping it she shoved it into a satchel that hung near her hip. " One more thing I need to check on while I am here"
The temptress watched her carefully out of curiousty, when she disaapeared around a corner she moved quickly to catch up, cause she surely didnt want to be left in the dark. The torch light was dim already even after she caught up with her. The etchings on the walls made her heart beat quicken with fear. " We should not be here." She whispered softly. Hellenia only cackled breifly. " This is my workings. " She said with a coo of a voice. Her witch seemed freightened by her dameanor till she saw what seemed to be a glass coffin with a young woman inside.

Thea and Panos stood a ways away from the king and the general of the Isles, arms folded partly as if they didn't want to be here and mostly standing as sentinels. They, too, felt the energy. Thea found it to be weird, bumps of the goose kind forming on her arms. Panos took a deep breath of it in, smiling because the pouch in his pocket hummed with it too.
To be honest Sarah didn't expect such ... energy to come from Laina, but she didn't pull away from her hand. Instead, she let it flow through her. She figured that if Jewel wasn't holding her other hand she wouldn't be standing for very long. That was pretty potent stuff that Laina was giving off.
When Felicity nodded, giving her a silent encouraging "go ahead", Sarah calmed her thoughts and began -
Two souls, agreeing With clear minds and hearts
She paused when she took a glance up from reading the spell, just past Felicity, and paused for a moment, her jaw going slack at the vision of Aranel she saw. At least, she thought it was Aranel. What with the blonde hair and light brown eyes being on the verge of gold and the freckles ... she could see for herself what everyone had been saying. Surprisingly, she found her to be beautiful.
But that couldn't be right. She hadn't believed everyone when they said that the deceased woman and her were doppelgangers until tonight. And to an extent, there were similarities. The only difference was that Aranel WAS beautiful.
"Sarah, focus." Felicity eyed her, knowing of the apparition behind her and the one of Aideen between Jewel and Sarah (she had come back after Sarah chanting the spell).
They shall exchange souls For a bright new start
Now, Felicity knew that she had said the wrong word - probably Sarah had read souls again. No big deal; the spell wasn't going to work and they were going to try again. She had expected as such.
What she didn't expect was the golden light emanating from Sarah, the sound of a dull pop that left her ears ringing, and the splurge of energy coming from the trio that knocked her right on her ass.
The thread from the circle disappeared, but Jewel didn't mind that because she felt something different from what Felicity felt. She didn't fall on her ass, no, but she felt like she was being pulled from an unseen force, causing her to close her eyes. She knew that Sarah was emanating light because she saw it from behind her eyelids, bright and leaving purple spots when the light went away. When she blinked them away, she shook her head in befuddlement.
Across from her was ... her.

( I realized that I have been calling the Seductress Temptress the whole time. >.< )
Liana laid her head back a little as the arch of the spell called to her, body rising to the point that her feet no longer touched the floor for a brief second. Till the second part of the spell came through she touched the ground again, in a blink of an eye she was looking at her self. The power that had once coursed through her like a live wire no longer thrummed through her. Did she stumble back looking down at her self? She saw no tattoos anything that resembled her at all. And the pain? Gone.
She let out a partial yelp of excitement and covered her mouth. The sound of jewel's voice came out, " I..." The tome that was sitting on a stone bench started to rattle and rock till it flipped off the bench and opened. When the pages flapped as a hard wind ran across them, more of the magic flowed from it coming out in golden splashes flowing between Jewel { Laina's soul} and Laina { Jewel's Soul}. Each of them receiving equal halves of the powerful overflow. The blast hitting Jewel's body {Laina's Soul} making her stagger again, the ground would start to shake briefly.
It only stopped once the flow of magic stopped, Jewel { Laina's soul} watched as King Damien went to Laina { Jewel's Soul}. " Is everyone alright?" He asked wondering why the spell had acted as it had. " Love are you alright?" He said to Laina { Jewel's Soul}, the wave had knocked his connection off. He could not read anyone there magically, " I am fine. " was uttered from Jewel { Laina's soul}. Crevan was barely able to remain standing from the wave, it had made him very nauseous. He had never felt that much of a gut punch even during training as a soldier, he had to lean forward putting his hands on his knee's as he tried to hold in his stomach bile.
~*~*~*~
When the trimmer hit Hellenia teetered slightly, hearing a yelp from her which she turned to look. " Oh stop it, Larissa. The girl most likely messed up the spell. It was just the backlash from my daughter's power and hers connecting when it faltered. " She would sigh moving along, Larrisa could only glare at the woman that held her collar. How was she suppose to feel in a pitch dark room except for a coffin and a luny ancient vampire? Hellenia slowly moved to the glass coffin, a console would rise from the ground as she keyed in a few runes. The coffin lid shifted an opened showing the young woman more clearly, Hellenia gently caressed her face with a smile. Gently she set a doll made of straw and mud on her chest. Holding one of her hands over the girl above the doll, tossing the torch from the other to raise it to the ceiling. A Large pentagram that had been etched in the ceiling started to glow with quintessence that was running off the spell from above. Her voice started to sound ethereal as she spoke.
Troubled blood with sleep's unease
Remove the cause of this disease
Sleep eternal, nevermore
And shift the source of illness borne
To this poppet whom none shall mourn
The doll on the girl's chest would rattle then break apart as some of the demon's essence would lift from it. She would swipe her finger through the essence before sucking on the finger. Before she cackled lightly her finger gently drew across the girl's forehead, she hummed a tune while she did so. Bring from a Yoke of Servitude from the satchel at her side she would place it around the girl's neck.
Bound by the yoke embrace
It nare leave skin mark trace
Servitude shall be your keening wail
Beat, whipped and fillet should you fail
The jar full of the powerful quintessence spilled over the yoke as she thrummed another hum it sounded deep and constant.
May this collar vanish from thine eye
Nare one person should see its ire
If the magic should break from any other
This one's heart will begin to flutter.
Like envies green eyes
This one shall die.
She hurried the last of the spell becoming agitated with the rhyming, Larissa sighed watching the magic. When the spells where finished the girl would stretch and yawn sitting up rubbing her eyes. " Where am I? " She mumbled. It seemed her dreams of life had been lived that way. Her body had aged in the land of darkness, a woman like the one before her had taught her many things that a young woman would need to know. " Was that you?" Hellenia nodded her head before helping her out of the contraption. " I have saved you from the darkness my husband put you in. " She said with disgust. " You are safe now child. "

Jewel ... felt Laina's pain.
To be honest, she never recalled being in so much pain before - not even when she had given birth to her quadruplets. And she knew that Laina had been in even more pain earlier that day. It wasn't sharp pains, just dull aches. Not just in the joints, but all over.
It was weird in general, though, to be in a body that wasn't her own. She had none of Laina's memories, only hers. On the inside, she was still Jewel; all the same memories and emotions. Yet, being in a different body was like trying a piece of clothing on and it didn't fit.
The body she inhabited was hit with a strong force, causing it to step back a few steps. She rocked with the earth, eyes wide in panic and pain before everything settled back. Unconsciously she brought her hand to her chest, brows scrunching together in confusion.
What in the world was that?
When Damien came over to her, she couldn't speak, at the time still shocked that she was seeing herself without a mirror. Her eyes cast over to her daughter and grandfather, who were sprinting to Jewel's, shock and concern on their faces as they took either side of it. "Ma, are you okay?"
Felicity, after the tremor, lowered her arms to her sides and tried her best to get up. She did with no problem, but her legs were shaky. "Sarah?"
No answer.
That was still an answer though, and it scared her. She ran over to the other side of the table, face pale, to find Sarah with her eyes closed. Frantic eyes searched over her daughter, jelly legs had her falling to her knees beside the young girl. She wasn't sure, but she saw Sarah's stomach rise. Just to make sure, Felicity put two fingers under her jaw on her neck to search for a pulse.
Ba-thump, ba-thump.
"Oh, thank the gods," Felicity murmured, brushing Sarah's hair away from her face and pushing her jaw upward to close her mouth. "That was a lot of magick."
Felicity looked up, just now realizing what had happened. Sarah had said "they shall exchange souls", she knew that part. But she didn't take any notice until Thea and Panos raced over to Laina instead of Jewel. "Ma, is that you in there?"
"Yes," Laina's voice replied, a bit shaken. "It's me."
"She switched their souls," Felicity murmured in awe, eyes going back to their normal dark blue. Then it was as if a rock dropped in the pit of her stomach, her face going even paler as it had before. "She switched. Their souls."
"Yes, that has been established," Panos said, casting a glance from his position by Laina's body. Thea didn't seem to know who to go to to make sure who was all right. Jewel's body or the body that was harboring Jewel's soul.
Felicity scoffed, narrowing her eyes at Panos before calling Crevan over. "She's passed out."
