(( Voss )) It had been the day after the small run-in with Kheelan and Hannah. Felicity was allowed to stay as a guest at the castle until further notice - which was more than likely when Sarah didn't need to be taught anymore. Felicity didn't mind. She knew she couldn't hide behind the vampires forever. That, and Sarah wouldn't need her for anything more than being taught. If she wanted to be taught at all. She saw the look of utter disgust and horror as she was escorted back to camp yesterday. She might not want anything to do with what she was any more than Felicity didn't want for her to become queen of the Seelie Court. It made her second-guess her and Foster's motives. Maybe they should have just followed through with the favor. She should have just raised her herself instead of Science-dependent people raise her. Then Foster wouldn't have been executed and Felicity wouldn't be filled with such an anxious feeling. Sarah was to come to the palace today with Crevan. And Felicity was a nervous wreck. She was still in the room, having been up since before the sun lit up the city. She didn't have the courage to get out of bed, let alone out of her room. She didn't know what was going to happen today. Didn't know what to do. Was someone supposed to come by? What was she to wear? She couldn't possibly wear the nightgown she was given last night. And what was Sarah going to say? Or was she going to chicken out? Felicity would chicken out if their roles would switch. ** Sarah woke on her own, this time. She still slept on the floor, which only added to her not being able to sleep well. She tossed and turned throughout the night, but didn't want to sleep in the chair solely for the fact that it was too close to the bed. Yes, she was still being conservative about it. Sue her. When the sun came up she finally sat up. She, too, was nervous about today. Shoot, anxiety had her by the throat. The day before seemed like a nightmare. But she brushed a few fingers across her cheek as verification; sure enough, the patch of dragon skin was still there. Which caused her to sigh shakily before standing up. She refused to look toward the bed, fearing that if she did Crevan would be looking at her. Or if he was up at all. Or he left her alone. Whatever the case, she couldn't look at the massive bed as she shuffled zombie-like to the armoire. Thanks to Crevan, she didn't have to wear the dress for the third day in a row. It is a wonderful dress, yes. But she had more things to wear, and the dress needed to be cleaned. And so she pulled out the tunic and some pants specially made for her, turned her back to the bed without ever looking at it, and dressed just as quickly as she did the day before. Just in case someone decided to waltz in or Crevan was still in the bed. As soon as she was dressed, she finger-combed her hair before braiding it sloppily over her shoulder. She slipped on her casual boots soon after, her hands shaky with the anxiety over today. Then she finally stood and walked over to the chair that Crevan sat in the first night, perched lightly on it, and bit on her cheek. It wasn't hard, but just enough to feel how sore it was and not care.

A knock on Felicity's door several times and a woman's voice. " Chamber maid" a woman would come to lay out her cloths for her, picking out what would go best with her hair and eyes. Clothes seemed to fill the Armoire in the walk in closet, she would pull out jewelry as well placing it out.
" Do you wish for me to run you a bath?" She asked softly her maid outfit was pretty and pink instead of black and white. She tilted her head," Or perhaps you would rather skip that and I bring you breakfast. " She was there to serve Felicity as long as it was inside this room.
She would begin to open the long currents in the room tying them back with the long golden ropes matching the burgundy drapes. Opening the window's by unlatching them and pushing them open, the view was of a small garden the room on the ground floor. There were two that were right next to it before hitting the kitchen and going on into the grand dining hall.
The kitchen had a door that lead into the garden, half of it was of flowers and pretty trees. The other half was of food for the kitchen.
Women and men alike could be seen gathering veggatables. Their eyes silver holding them to being low blood vampires, a few had pink eyes being bred from witches. They wore servant clothing marking them of that class, they seemed happy in the work they were doing as did her Chamber maid.
~*~
The bed was made as if he had never slept in it, he seemed gone and in the bottom of the Armoire was his wife's seal. In a small box it rested a note beside it, "If you are going to be apart of me. Wear this. Crevan" Another item sat on the edge of the bed that looked like a stiletto in a sheath, the sheath its self was encrusted with jewels of the royal color. The hilt was made of silver along with the blade, the butt of the hilt had a large blue diamond in the bottom of it.
He was no where in the tent or out side it. The soldiers were standing outside waiting for her to wake before they took the rest of the items out of it and tore down the tent. They were to be setting up on the furthest of the isle where they would wait for him to show up. He was in a separate tent that they used to shower, he was not one for a bath figured she might be but he preferred to stand. He only soaked after battle to sooth his muscles.
Once he was finished he would dry off quickly to dress, he would have to travel to the stables soon to ride out to them. He was not aware if she would remain with her mother to start her training or come with him, he was not able to change every thing just to work around her mother coming into the picture.
He did this the same time every year, where he would remain till winter. He was dressed in only his tunic this time not needing the armor for any meetings or training. He thought he might need to touch up his scruff, perhaps leave the start of a goatee and shave every thing else.

Felicity was silent, letting the chamber maid do her job with this sort of ... awkwardness about her. She's never had a maid come to her aid or anything. Shoot, as long as Sarah lived she had been a prisoner within the Seelie court. This, although much appreciated, was a vast difference between her stay there and her stay here. She didn't protest the pink-wearing woman picking her clothes out, trusting her to make her not look like a fool. When she finally spoke it was to answer the maid's question.
"A bath would be nice, thank you."
And it was. When she was bathed she was given wash cloths and baby wipes to wash herself with. There were few occasions where she got sponge baths, and it was only when she was bound and gagged. Having the oppurtunity to bathe and have privacy while doing so was too good to pass up. She couldn't help herself.
Maybe then after the soak she'll feel calm enough to face the day.
**
Sarah did, indeed see the little box. And she opened it, and read the note. Her heartbeat quickened upon reading it, not understanding exactly what "a part of me" meant. That was why she was sitting down. To gain her bearings. She knew what the ring was. That was his wife's ring. The woman who died and made such an impact in Anya and Crevan's life. The dragon-girl was trying not to freak out as question upon question upon question rammed through her thought process.
Was he proposing? Was that why he said "a part of me"?
Did he want for her to be his scion? (Which was similar to the first questions, but she felt they had different meanings.)
Why was he giving her his dead wife's seal? She has to read up on vampire culture, because right now this was all so confusing and frustrating and it was too early in the morning for this.
An exasperated sigh escaped her, and her upper body leaned back on the bed. This caused the stiletto to shift slightly and catch her eye. Curious, and with a hesitant hand she grasped the sheath and turned it over so as to expect it. Her free hand's index finger brushed along the hilt poking out. She wondered if Crevan had given it to her or he somehow forgot it.
If it was his, she thought after a few moments, it was very girly.
She pulled the blade halfway out of its sheath, gasped at how shiny it was, then quickly put it back when she saw her reflection. It was weird to say, but she scared herself. Oh, how she wished she looked like herself. The normal brown eyes and the dragon-less skin. Okay, so sue her for being wishy-washy, but that's how she felt. Sarah didn't find herself beautiful in her previous skin.
Though she was definitely downright ugly. Honestly, the patch on her face was rough and a light blue that it almost looked grey. And her ears? If she was a betting woman she would place ten dollars on the table that they were so sharp they could cut through hide.
On shaky legs, she stood up and walked purposefully back toward the armoire. With one hand still holding the stiletto, the other opened the armoire so that she could bend down and grab the small box. She had to give it back to Crevan. As much as she'd like too, she couldn't take it. It wasn't hers to have.
When she stood she caught a glimpse of the rose clip Killian had given her. The thought of the man made her smile slightly, but she couldn't take it with her. She didn't deserve it, and with that thought she closed the door and walked out the tent with her face downcast so that she could look for Crevan.
Eventually, after asking with a stutter, she did find him. It looked as if he had taken a bath or shower because his hair was still wet. And she had to admit, he was quite dashing. With his eyes that she had once found intimidating, his facial hair, and his buffness, it was a wonder that no one swooned over him.
Or did they, and she didn't notice?
She was no stranger to having a crush. Or finding someone handsome at the very least. It was hard to return the ring, because whatever "a part of me" entailed, she wanted to be so. She couldn't help it. He would be able to see her hold onto the box with whitening fingers, and a hesitance in her eye. Though she had to break the silence; she raised the still-sheathed stiletto slightly. "Is this yours?" she asked softly, a soft blush rising to her cheeks.

The maid would smile to her as she went into the bathroom running her a bath adding some sort of bathing salts to help sooth her body and make her calm. " If you need anything miss pull on this" She would hold up a golden rope on the end of the bed. " it will ring a bell and I will return. "Heading out of the room she would wait for her to call her back if she needed anything. The room was large with towels laying beside the bath tub, it smelled like lilies with a hint of honey.
It was lite up by candle light and floating glowing orbs, since the room had no windows. There were many cleaning oils along with some sort of sand that smelled of soap, the tub its self was deep all most like a Jacuzzi and a clam shell shape. The glass frame and faucet seemed to be lined with gold, every thing seemed to shine with wealth.
Anya stopped the maid in the hall, " Is the lady awake?" The maid would nod" she is bathing Mistress. " Anya shook her hand not liking that they all called her that from time to time. " When she finishes escort her to the dinning hall. The queen wishes to speak with her. " The maid would nod and continue on to the kitchen where the bell was, several cooks and sous chefs were busy on the fires of the large stoves. Each calling out for ingredients, she would sit off to the side watching them work. She enjoyed the mornings clammier during breakfast, it was always busy during meal times.
~*~
Crevan was adjusting his tunic when he saw out of the corner of his eye her coming up to him, a servant would be packing a bag. " Sir we have to hurry. The ferry to carry us across will be leaving soon and not return till tomorrow. " Crevan would cast him a glance earning a shocked face before his eyes lowered. " I will tell the soldiers to hold the ferry " He whispered moving away. He would seem to see her holding both items and blink.
" No the stiletto is not mine. It is yours. I know you do not know your powers yet. So its not enchanted. That you can do on your own. Till then it serves to stick any pig bastard that comes near you or hurt you. " He said with a growl, his eyes would flick to the ring box. He clued in right away she was most likely refusing him. He however would not say anything knowing it most likely had to do with it being to fast. Or that she had no interest in him at all. He did not know what to do. He would sigh. " Is there anything else?" He asked softly his voice's timber was low hiding any emotion from it.

"Thank you," she reiterated, waiting politely before taking her current clothes off. Felicity was slow to get in the tub, enjoying how the water clung to her like a lover. A shiver went down her spine, then took another step in. As she did she brushed her hand across the golden faucet and smiled at the thought of her father-in-law coveting such a treasure.
With both feet in she finally sank down and sighed out in contentment. The sound of the water moving while she leaned back sent a sensation of feeling calm and collected to go through her body. Her eyes closed lightly. She submerged herself to where any sound would be muffled. Her golden hair floated like a halo around her.
She didn't know how much time had passed, but just lying there and feeling herself practically becoming a part of the water had her thoughts floating just as much as she did. At the sudden image of Foster's face, however, she sat up hurriedly. The splashing noise that she made brought her back to reality. A realization was made.
She still missed her love terribly.
Numbness clutched at her like an Unseelie beast. Tears fell freely down her face to mingle with the water droplets on her body. Not once did she sob, having mastered the ability to cry silently ages ago. So as her eyes became red she lathered herself in the soaps and manipulated the water with a few simple gestures to make it wash over her.
She was reluctant to step out. For a few good minutes afterward she sat in an empty tub. Her fingers were pruny, her eyes beheld, when they wiped her face of the remaining salty water. The thought was only passing, and she quickly got dressed with what the maid picked out for her.
Felicity wasn't hungry. But she was a bit peckish. So she walked slowly to the golden rope her helper had pointed out and tugged once on it.
**
Sarah blinked at the confirmation about the stiletto. She didn't know how to enchant it, but didn't say anything. His growl startled her a bit, but she looked down and brushed her thumb across the hilt in a sweeping motion. "I bet it's too feminine for your taste, anyway," she said, in she hoped to be in a joking manner.
Then she felt her heartbeat speed up a bit more at his question. In her hesitance to answer the question the more nervous she became. The more nervous the less likely to answer she became. She lost her courage to say, "I can't take this, because it's not mine to have."
So she clutched the box tighter, bringing it closer to her chest, and bit her cheek before finally replying, "Nothing. Just that the ring is beautiful."

The maid sat watching food being sent out to the dinning hall before she heard the bell, standing up quickly she bid the kitchen goodbye before waltzing up to the room. Her feet quick and her body graceful, " Yes Miss how can I.." She stopped talking seeing the woman's eyes. She would move more slowly towards her as if approaching a wounded animal. " Is everything alright Miss." She whispered softly. Sadness touched her eyes feeling sorry for her in some fashion even though she had no clue as to what had caused her eyes to become red.
She all most forgot what Lady Anya had asked her to do. " I...I was told to tell you the queen wishes to speak with you " Her voice was barely above a whisper as she listened to the poor woman. Her fingers would wring upon themselves, as if nervous or worried. She felt that the lady should stay in her room if she did not feel up to it, but at the same time she would not want to refuse the queen.
Anya stood by her Master at the table, she wondered if Sarah would come in today or leave with Crevan. She was worried that her mother would not make it in time if she was leaving. Damien would watch her look out the hall distracted by what happened yesterday he thought. He would sigh nudging her only to cause her to blush, he would hold up something on the end of his fork and she would bend and eat from it. He watched as she turned her attention back to the hall door and he chuckled letting her be.
Liana would smile lightly sadness in her eyes as her witch sat beside her, he seemed angry as he watched the king. She fidgeted with the fork on her plate, she as of lately was losing her appetite. Even when he tried to force her to eat she would refuse, him thinking she was dying from the thrones use.
~*~
Crevan smiled and chuckled a little when she spoke about the stiletto," I had one as a boy not much different then that one. I prefer a dagger now. " He had seen the joke in it, but figured to tell her that it was not a woman's weapon per-say. He did have to admit it could be used to kill some one swiftly, meant for deep penetration of the skin from its design. He just hoped she never had to use it, "Yes it is beautiful. I was hoping you would accept it and the burden it carries. If so then once i return or during the time I am in the outer Isle I can claim you. It all depends on if you choose to go or not. "
He watched her for a moment before his hand went to her cheek brushing it softly, when his eyes softened towards her for a moment he spoke." The ring Matches its holder " he whispered before dropping his hand putting both of them behind his back as he watched her. His soldiers making them selves scares. None of them wanted to win the famous glance of his, that made grown men piss themselves.

Felicity shook her head in a short manner, in no mood to be coddled or sympathized with. "I'm fine," she replied coolly, then stepped back so as to regain the space the maid had taken by stepping forward. She knew that since it had been just minutes before that she had been crying over Foster. But it was now time to move on for the day. "I was just wondering what was on today's menu."
But at the news that the queen wanted to see her, her brows raised in surprise. "Really?" She sat down slowly, brushing her hair behind her shoulders. It was still damp from the bath. But she can work with it. It was shorter than her daughter's, barely coming below her Adam's apple. So it was easier to handle. "Do you know why?"
**
If it had been someone else and their lack of amusement, she probably would have been totally embarrassed and not wanting to talk to anyone for the rest of the day. But his chuckle eased her worry and she couldn't help but smile. "I see," she said.
His explanation about the ring, however, had her chest tightening and heartbeat quickening. Her eyes widened like saucers. The words "claim you" had her face becoming more red that it actually was. She couldn't help it, though. She's never had someone say anything remotely like that (i.e. "Wanna go out with me?") before. And he said it so beautifully that she just melted like chocolate.
Why was she scared of this man the first night, again?
Because right now she felt this unrelenting urge to open the box and slip the ring on her finger.
She took a sharp intake of breath when his hand brushed her cheek. Feeling his calloused palm brushing against the patch of dragon-skin on her face made her realize that … even though she had it there he didn't shy away from it. He didn't even acknowledge its presence on her face.
She clenched the box even harder, nearly crunching the lid. Strangely, with him she felt … beautiful. In the reflection of his eyes she didn't see what she saw. Not only that, but under his rough exterior she saw that he was actually quite tender. Like a teddy bear. The comparison made her smile shyly, then looked downward at the box.
"Why this ring, though?" she asked suddenly. "This used to be your wife's, didn't it?"

The maid would shake her head," No just that Mistress Anya told me to tell you. And that they were in the dinning hall. The Menu ranges from several delicacies. Sausage's with rue gravy, Eggs sunny side up or over to even scrambled. Bacon with waffles, and my personal favorite that Anya had me try once. Beignets lightly dusted with powdered sugar and syrup, its just to die for. " She would look down at the ground. " But really anything you desire can be made by the cooks. " She said softly
She would curtsy to Felicity " Shall I tell the queen that you will be attending breakfast. Or should I bring your food here?"She asked softly. It was like Felicity had a option how she could go about her day.
Laina would finally take a bite watching Anya carefully, she would smile a little as she cut into the sausage devouring small bite. " You should eat more then that.." Her witch mumbled and she giggled. " look who is talking, you have been so worried about my plate you haven't even started on yours." He would raise a brow and look down, seeing she spoke the truth he would begin to eat but keep a eye on her.
Damien would not push to feed Anya though he was concerned about her, a servant would come up to him bringing a few unopened letters on a try setting them on the table. Whispering in his ear before Damien would nod the servant leaving quickly. Damien would pat his mouth with a napkin before pushing the plate away as he went through the letters.
~*~
Crevan listened to her and watched the many shades she started to change across her cheeks, this won her a smile seeing that he enjoyed the look. He would look down at the box before gently taking it from her hands and opening it for her to see. " This ring holds a great power with any magic. " He said taking it out of the box. " Half my lands are under this small seal. Meaning any documents you sign and seal gives you such rights to sell or buy under my name. One could see it as you owning half of every thing I own. " He said softly taking her hand and gently sliding the ring onto her finger.
" It all so marks you as mine, though not as strong as a bite. It will deter others for some time till you can make up your mind about it. " He would smile and cup her face gently with both hands his thumbs gently petting her cheeks. " And yes it used to be my wife's but before that," He paused for a moment." It was my mothers passed down on to me to give to a special person. So essentially its a family heirloom. " It was unheard of seals or any thing of that nature ever being passed down to pets.
" I prefer you wear it but if you feel the burden to great and do not feel you can handle it. Then by the end of the day return it to me. " He smiled pulling back gently before he poked her nose turning from her. " Send Alister from the palace if you must return it. He will fly it to me. Now I must head to the Ferry. "

Felicity nodded a bit, wondering why the queen would want to see her. The king, she could understand. But the queen? She didn't even have a hypothesis. So she barely heard the maid as she listed off the items that she could eat, too engrossed in what she did to get the queen's attention.
"I'll go to breakfast." She'd rather not keep the queen waiting. After all, she was one of her benefactors. "Just as soon as I find out what to do with my hair." Then after a few moments, she turned to the maid. She was fully capable of doing her own hair, but she wasn't in the mood. Not particularly. "Would you like to help me?"
**
Immediately Sarah loosened her grip so that Crevan could take the box. Her blush receded, only to be replaced with an unreadable expression. Half his land. That's ... he wasn't kidding about the burden being big. But she let him slide the ring onto her finger anyway. (It was a bit loose, but she didn't mind it.) It was cold, and a bit heavy - she's never worn a ring before, unless one counted the time when she wore her mother's engagement ring when playing dress-up. She fould herself getting used to it, though, and never taking it off.
Her eyes moved upward so that they could look at his face; it seemed that every time he spoke of marking she would always go breathless. And that was just fine with her. She felt her heart race faster when he cupped her cheeks. Beneath his hands her cheeks regained their color, knowing yet dumbfounded that she was a "special person" to him. A family heirloom?
She didn't even register his pause.
A cold air took his hands' place when he pulled away. She didn't like the cold, though she didn't protest. A giggle, small and quiet, escaped her lips. Then she frowned a bit. Hearing and understanding his words, she vowed to herself that she wouldn't send Alister because she could handle the burden. Sparks flew from her fingertips upon him saying he had to go. This caused her to look down suddenly at her hands as if they were foreign objects.
She'd rather him stay, or her go with him. But neither one of those can happen because he had to do his job and she needed to learn about her powers. (That glamour was going to be needed, because even though she knew that Crevan didn't mind, everyone else might. She minded.) Seriously, what if when Crevan came back she was in a straight jacket because she didn't do anything with her powers? That couldn't happen.
"I can handle it," she said, barely above a whisper, as she loked back up at him. She opened her mouth agai, wanting to say something else. But she didn't know what, so she closed her mouth after a few moments. Instead, she mustered up a smile.

Maid would smile hearing her say she would go to breakfast, it seemed to cheer the girl up very quickly. She did not want the poor miss to sit in her room all day, she had heard that the young lady had been a captive and had been rescued. " As you wish My lady"
She would curtsy about to go and announce that she was coming to breakfast. But when she requested her to help with her hair she all most squealed as she moved over. " Yes My lady " She whispered. She would move to grab something up lining her fingers with it before she would muss her hair gently giving a full bounce to it. Not having much to work with she would curl it to curve it to her faces features.
Giving her a pixie look this she would accompany with a flower in her hair, " I would make you a wreath of flowers but we have none that would hold this season all to bulky for a wreath. " She whispered softly gently moving her hair a bit. The young girl seemed happy to have the opportunity to play with some ones hair.
Laina would slowly eat her meal since she kept getting concerning glares from her husband as well, this only made her smile to see him concerned. Servants stood at the sides of the rooms waiting to clear or dish them more food out, every plate before being set before some one would be wipe any extra drizzle from the food off. It looked like it had been professionally prepared.
~*~
Crevan would look back at her and smile," My dear Sarah. You and I have all the time in the world, Keep up the smile's that i enjoy so much. "He would turn his back to her yet kept talking to her as he walked away. " If you can convince your mother to travel with you. Alister knows where I am going." He said before he raised a hand as if to say good bye. " Till we meet again, I find Goodbyes to final"
His group of soldiers would wait for him to pass before they would fall in line, his wagon following behind war horses pulling the wagon. He still had to stop by the stables and pick up his grand war horse. " Oh and I am having Alister as your personal guard!" He shouted from distance, Alister just seemed to pop up out of no where next to her. " How is My lady this Morning?" He looked as if he was dressed in their version of a marines dress uniform with white gloves.
He had a long scabbard at his side, taking his cap off he would smile. " I am here to escort you to your mother when you are ready My Lady"He would bow to her. Crevan had to make his way to the stables his horse ready for him saddled with a large saddle and saddle bags hanging from the back of the metal armor that covered the horse. Climbing atop the beast he would motion for his people to move out. Heading for the cities outer docks out side one of the grand gates, where they would board the ferry to be carried to one of the outer isle's.

The maid's reaction had her smiling. Felicity enjoyed it, and made her feel younger. Her eyes closed at the sensation of someone messing with her hair, and even as Felicity spoke they stayed that way. "I don't care too much for flowers, so one would be fine. I like pearls better."
When the maid was finished she stood and gave her a little curtsy. "Thank you." Standing up straight, she sighed a bit. "Could you show me the way? I have a bad sense of direction, and I'm scared that I'll get lost."
**
Sarah raised her hand too, her heart twisting a bit. In the back of her mind she speculated that he was a mind reader. How else did he know that she didn't want to be separated?
But it's probably because she doesn't have a good poker face, though.
"Till then," she said, and watched him and his soldiers go. She moved the stiletto to the other hand so that she could rub the ring in awe. Slowly, she drifted off in her thoughts, so when Crevan yelled she jumped. At first, she couldn't understand him. She opened her mouth to yell, "Do what?"
No sooner had she said it, Alister scared her. Sarah squeaked, clutching her chest with her free hand. When she found that it was the man she saw yesterday, she laughed a bit. "I'm fine," she replied to him. Just that she felt a bit lost now that Crevan was leaving. "You scared me."
At the mention of Felicity, her smile faded. She grew more serious. "She's not my mother." Then after a pause and a small curtsy in return she added, "Well, biologically she is. But that's it." Was she bitter toward Felicity?
Yes, yes she was. But she would like for her to go to where Crevan went so that she could be taught and be by his side at the same time.
Which meant she had to get past her bitterness so that she could talk to her.

The maid smiled rushing to the walk in closet before she would bring out pearls, putting them around her neck she giggled." Now there ..its perfect"She would pause only briefly and curtsy before nodding" Right this way My Lady " She would move down the halls, it seemed all most like a maze when not using the Servant's hallways. Leading her through the more grander halls to stop at the dinning hall the guards would open the larger doors for them to head inside. " This is it My Lady" She whispered. " When and if you return to your room, ring and i shall come" She scooted away quickly.
Laina would look up when the doors open still picking at her plate stopping as she patted her lips with a napkin. One of the servants clearing her plate to set it on the floor near a small odd door, a animal would scoot out of the door to lap at the plate. Her witch would snap his fingers ordering them to bring her more, she made a face at him before standing and curtsying. " Welcome Lady Felicity, please join us. " Damien had rose bowed and waited for her to seat her self before sitting again. How ever Liana did not wait, she seemed very tired. Her witch had not bothered to get up, which earned him a shot glance from his Mistress. " I wanted to speak with you. I am sorry to hear about your mate. I wish to first give my condolences. "She said softly her eyes slightly sad. " And for how you were treated. You are more the welcome stay here. Even if my Husband has told you other wise. "

Alister smiled hearing her words, knowing part of her story. " Ja, well not all mothers are the best" He said holding out his arm to escort her. " Think of me as Crevan's right hand. A extension of him. I shall protect you with my life if it ever comes to that. " Meaning day and night he would be by her side when not attached to Crevan's hip. He looked down at her with a smile." Ah shall we get you to her, so you can speak with her about your training?" He whispered softly to her when he noticed a crowd had formed of the remaining soldiers and a few of their family member's.
He would not really wait for a answer before he moved with her, wanting to get her away from them so she would not be embarrassed about the display they both had shared publicly. He knew from how she acted around Anya that she was embarrassed easily or upset so as well. " Miss him already My Lady?" He asked since he knew he had startled her that she had been looking after Crevan fondly. Having enjoyed startling her though he did try to hide it, demons often enough trickster like behavior was frowned upon here if done to to much of a extent. He kept himself look like he did to set the residents at ease, one never was afraid of another vampire usually being one themselves. But a demon even though not a taboo would be something to be afraid of, not being to common among the main Islanders.

Felicity didn't expect for the maid to bring out the pearls. Really, her statement was just a matter of opinion. She couldn't help but laugh lightly when she brought them out. "That closet seems to be filled with everything, isn't it?" she asked. Vaguely she wondered if the closet had a magical quality. "Thank you."
Then all thoughts ceased as she walked behind the maid, and while she walked she looked at her surroundings. They were, indeed, inside a castle. It screamed of wealth, something Cindimir enjoyed thoroughly. She snorted in amusement suddenly.
She curtsied to the maid. "Thank you." And for a few moments before she walked in she watched the girl leave.
"You don't have to stand for me," Felicity replied, used to the happenings of the faerie court. Oberon didn't stand for his guests. He had them bow, and he would acknowledge them with a small nod. But that's it, she thought as she made a deep curtsy for her rescuers.
When she rose to her full height again she walked quickly to the chair that she was offered to her. She was quiet when Liana brought up Foster, a sad frown on her face; she couldn't look at anyone for seconds. When Foster was executed by his brother, that pain she felt for him was worse than her ill-treatement as a prisoner. "Thank you, your majesty," she whispered softly. "For your kindness."

Hesitantly, she took Alister's elbow. But that was only because he said that he was an extension of Crevan. Whatever that meant. Because here, it could mean literally too. "Let's hope it doesn't," she said in response to his life. "Otherwise I would feel bad."
And she would. His death would be forever on her conscious, even if he did pledge his life. It's just that she has a soft soul. That was all.
At first, she didn't notice the crowd. She was too engrossed with Alister's company at the moment. "Sure," she said, not minding that he wasn't particularly waiting for her answer. When he asked her the question she blushed a bit, her dragon-skin not changing color with the rest of her face.
Was it that obvious? Well, she felt that it was weird in some way; she missed Crevan even though they knew each other for going on three days. She had his wife's seal on her finger. And when they saw each other again he was going to mark her. She did feel as if this ... relationship (relationship? She's never been in one of these before. Especially not in one whose culture is completely different from hers.) was going a bit fast.
She's already given her word. And she can't deny the feelings that she has. Sarah wasn't taking it back.
"Um ... yes," she said truthfully, and that was when she finally saw the crowd around them. Instinctually her eyes moved down to her feet, not meeting anyone's gaze because if she did then they could see the dragon-skin. And really, she didn't want to be known as "the girl with a weird unknown skin disease". "How far away is the castle again?"

Liana would shake her head, " No need for thanks. I am sure my husband did so knowing that it would have pained me to see mother and duaghter separated. I know that she has not had time to know you, it would be a shame she didn't have a chance to?"
The queen would hear her witch make a noise of laughter, he was playing with a bit of paper as if bored out of his mind. When it lite on fire just by her glare it had him trying to put it out and get away from it. " You can leave." She did not even speak his name for the anger she felt for him right now. He glared at her and moved out pain hitting his eyes, he had not ever really made her mad at him and he hated not being by her side. Once he had left her sight she would sigh.
" I am sorry for his rudeness. That is something I do not tolerate from anyone. I was wondering if I may obtain some advice. " she would nibble on some bacon before speaking again once her mouth was clear. " I need some one inside the court, do you think they would go against me and try to kill you if i made you a ambassador of our court?"
She was being truthful about needing a inside eye to the fairy court, and she was not sure if they would allow a vampire to sit among them to listen in on their dealings. Damien would push is plate after cleaning it fully, he seemed like a very hungry man. Watching the exchange between the two made him feel as if he was not needed, in public he was the face of the country and his wife a accessory.
But in private truly she was in charge, this kind of exchange was was different from his fathers reign. He had ruled with a iron first and their mother had never spoke against him, Damien was for tradition in public but not in privacy. " Of course for the eyes of our people you work for my husband. Any answers i need you would direct to him. That is if you so choose to do so, once your daughter has been tuaght of course. Which i am thinking might take years. " She was not saying she would not learn fast, but most of the witches here took years to train.

Alister would hurry her away from the crowd knowing her feelings, " Oh not that far Princess" He said softly and chuckled" They do not stare at you because of your skin. You my dear are far from the strangest thing they have ever seen. " He sighed and pat her arm. " You are far more normal then most here actually. Looks are not every thing Princess" He said softly knowing his true form was not that of something to look at. He was not one for vain reasons keeping his inner self from sight, he rather not cause a panic of people.
He had heard of humans falling in love at first sight, so how she felt for crevan did not seem un-plausible to him. Just because they were not human did not mean that it couldn't happen, moving up the road cutting through alleyways to make up time. If he had not lost his scroll for the magic to turn into a gargoyle he would of just carried her over the city.
Stopping along the way for a few carriages before heading up the road straight for the Castle, his steps were quick he had a sudden urge to pick her up in his arms and carry her bridal style up the street. His eyes flashed for a second before he made a odd purring noise, " Here it is. I keep forgetting how far it is since i fly most every where. "
Slowing down as he escorted her up the stairs. His nose seemed to move as if he was sniffing the air,"mmm" He mumbled enjoying the smell of food that was faintly coming from the castle his stomach would grumble.

Yes, Felicity found the man beside the queen very rude. The sadness that she felt was gone. A grim line was painted on her face, but other than that she didn't say anything. She didn't know what the man was laughing at. From the woman's words about her and Sarah, she guessed it was about that. And Felicity didn't see it as a laughing matter.
Needless to say she was excited to see him frantically moving about due to the fire. She had half a mind to put it out, but it would be rude of her to manipulate the liquid from her neighbors' cup to put it out. Though it seemed as if the man got it.
Good riddance to him. Already she knew she wasn't going to have a fondness for him.
"Advice?" she murmured, finally looking at the woman. What advice might that be?
Her question was answered. And she didn't like the answer. "Yes, they would try," she answered immediately. "They wouldn't see it as going against you, though they will kill me." Her head wagged back and forth a bit. "The faerie, although not being able to tell lies, will manipulate all they can get their hands on. I know how they work because I grew up in the Seelie court. They will see it as a mock and defiance against the Treaty. Even though I am here I am considered a faerie witch. So they would have every right to kill me if they wanted." Tiny sparks flew from her fingertips. "And they will."
Shaking her head again, she sighed. "With all due respect, I can't accept your offer. I would love to help." Finished with the sparks, her fingers went up to brush the pearls that were around her neck. "Sarah is better off being the ambassador, though. Which I'd advise against, your highness. Not because she's my daughter. I can teach her magic easy - I'll need help from outside resources in order to speed up the process. But if she was the ambassador I'd have to teach her the etiquette of the Seelie court; need her to read the Treaty; and keeping her from getting lost in the faerie realm. That will take years. And I'm sure you'd want an ambassador now."
**
"Princess?" she asked, suddenly looking up at him. That was a term that even though she's heard of before, never had she thought she'd be addressed as one. Unless it was just a cute nickname. In her confusion she bypassed the whole "looks aren't everything" thing. "What's that about?"
Her legs burned at the unexpected exercise. Her eyebrows raised slightly at the purring sound. But she didn't say anything else. Her breathing was shallow as she practically ran towards the castle with Alister. When they stopped she was taking huge gasps of air. His forgetful statement made her laugh in-between them. "Flying sounds like fun."
And it did. On occasions she found herself wondering what it would be like to fly. Thinking on that, she guessed that it was due to the fact that she was part dragon. Though last she checked she didn't have wings.
A glance behind her shoudler confirmed that.
By they time they were walking up the stairs her breathing slowed down to a normal pace. His sound of approval had her smelling the air herself; she mimicked his "mmm". "I just now realized that I'm hungry."
